Miley Cyrus has responded to those who believe she totally dissed her religion on Twitter this week. A quick refresher: The actress quoted theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss on Sunday night, citing a long passage from the doctor about the scientific creation of the universe that included the line “Forget Jesus. Stars Died So You Could Live.” Many followers took major exception to the supposedly anti-Christian message. Now, Miley has shot back with a nuanced, mature, thoughtful response. “How can people take the love out of science and bring hate into religion so easily?” she wrote. “It makes me sad to think the world is this way. Like Einstein says ‘Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind.'” Wow. Well said. Your move, critics. [Photo: WENN.com]
What they have to say is what we face if the sequestrations cuts go through: And remember also, as President Reagan says, defense is the highest national priority of government. If you think the world is a dangerous place now, let the sequestration cuts happen. Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : BLACKFIVE Discovery Date : 29/11/2011 15:43 Number of articles : 2
‘When you see R&B and pop and house, as well as electronic, come together, that’s the reality of what music is,’ Usher tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Jim Cantiello Usher Photo: MTV News When Usher and David Guetta hooked up for the French DJ’s latest album, Nothing but the Beat, the two superstars created a chart-topping smash, “Without You,” that combines Guetta’s ear for house beats and Usher’s ability to convey a range of emotions with his voice. It’s a song that has really stuck with fans of all genres of music. The track — a swirling pop ode to not giving up on love in the face of adversity — struck Usher with its emotional core. “David Guetta is an amazing artist,” he told MTV News last week at a Pencils of Promise charity event . “We talked for many years about working together, and we found a record that was incredible.” Usher said it was a song that resonated with him personally. “I think the world wanted a record like that. That [song] really spoke to the journey that I’ve actually been on in the last three years,” he said. “Traveling all around the world, music sounds different. There’s many different genres, and when you see R&B and pop and house, as well as electronic, come together, that’s the reality of what music is.” When MTV News talked to Guetta on the American Music Awards red carpet Sunday, he said “Without You” is a standout track on the album. The LP dropped earlier this year and also includes Nicki Minaj, who performed with Guetta at the AMAs . “It’s one of my favorite songs,” he said. “It’s just, I’m a DJ, so I want to make people dance always, but I also want to give emotions. When it comes to that, ‘Without You’ is probably one of the most emotional songs that I’ve done, and yes, I’m very proud of that record.” What do you think about “Without You”? I was tempted to dig through the internet and find all kinds of naked pics of this Shera Bechard chick who is playing Hugh Hefner’s “Rebound”….but then I realized I’d just be giving Playboy free press on their stupid marketing campaign that kinda lost its appeal when dude turned 80 and the idea of him dating hookers who were or wanted to be in his magazine was pretty much obvious…and boring… I mean shit, the Playboy models are tacky, trashy, fake titty and all that shit….they look like strippers or hookers that you could marry if you had enough money….and this is all part of a campaign to get Playboy noticed and written about….that would be better if they used girls who didn’t look like hookers or strippers… Seriously. This is all efforts to get people talking…and people are talking as if it is a legitimate thing…and that’s just idiotic on all of your part…it’s an act, a lie, a story, not really his girlfriend but his employee pretending to be to make him money….and the whole thing pisses me off…THis isn’t impressive…. This just appeared on my facebook feed, it’s from a couple weeks ago and it is of some wrestler with a drug problem named Jeff Hardy Tasering his girlfriend while drugged out….I’m sure it’s all an act for publicity, but there’s nothing more beautiful than seeing a man tame his woman like she was livestock, or more importantly, like she was a rioter or a rapist coming to have her way with him….I think the world needs more drugged up people doing things than can wind them up dead….some ryan Dunn doin it…if you know what I mean.
Debbie Gibson knows a thing or two dozen about success as a teenager. At the age of 17, she became the youngest singer to write, produce and release a number-one hit on the Billboard 100. So at least this 40-year old is speaking from experience when she says of Justin Bieber’s fame: “It’s too much too soon. People have to remember, even though a kid can be wise beyond their years professionally and can handle showbiz, emotionally you’re not developed.” Justin Bieber is mature for his age. The kid has a mustache! Gibson only has Bieber’s best interest in mind, fearing the cute idol will “lose his sanity” at this rate, although Justin says he’s already there . “If I could get all these kids in a room, I’d tell them you’re not superhuman,” Gibson told E! News. “If you need to take a week off, take a week off. Everybody makes you think the world will end and it won’t. If you say no, you save your sanity later.” Bieber, of course, has no plans to slow down. His 3D biopic hits theaters in February. So far, this 16-year appears to have his head on straight, although the same thing can’t always be said of his fans. Case in point .
Here’s supermodel Marisa Miller all tarted up as a classic pin-up girl posing on a motorcycle for Harley-Davidson’s ‘Military Appreciation Month’ campaign. I’m sure the troops are going to really appreciate these pictures.
It was possibly one of the worst live efforts in music history. But in the mind of Heidi Pratt, performing at Miss Universe ranks as high as her various weddings to Spencer, getting her fake boobs, nose, hair and lips, joining the cast of MTV’s The Hills and other life highlights.
