What did you think of Season 2’s first live show? Let’s start with the Young Adults, coached by Demi Lovato and comprised of Paige Thomas, Jennel Garcia , CeCe Frey and Willie Jones. Paige Thomas – “What Is Love” Jennel Garcia – “Home Sweet Home” CeCe Frey – “Because the Night” Willie Jones – “Here for the Party” Which performance stood out? Who might be going home this evening? Ding! Ding! It is totally on between Paige Thomas and Cece Frey. At least The X Factor producers clearly want it to be. The show is making a rivalry out of these contrasting singers, Paige the reserved, sweet single mother and Cece, the cocky Illinois native with weird print on her face. Both took on “I Will Always Love You” during Boot Camp this week. But who did a better job with the classic track? Paige Thomas – “I Will Always Love You” Cece Frey – “I Will Always Love You” Do either Paige or Cece stack up to a pair of other early female favorites, Diamond White and Jennel Garcia ? In the latest installment of One-Sheet Wonder , a column going deep on the best, worst, weirdest and other milestones of contemporary movie-poster art, Movieline takes a look at the new poster for Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master . — Ed. The Master , Paul Thomas Anderson’s enigmatic follow-up to There Will Be Blood , has been trailed by speculation and assumption for months — Is it about Scientology? Is Philip Seymour Hoffman portraying L. Ron Hubbard in a biopic capacity? — and every question has been met with denials and mystery. But each new marketing piece sheds more light on what we’ll get. After two beautiful , beguiling teaser trailers, a beautiful, beguiling one-sheet for Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master debuted today over at Ain’t It Cool News . But like the clips before it, the poster tells us almost nothing about the movie. (Or do they?) The first trailer was peppered with Scientology-ish personality questions, and this poster seems based on an abstraction of an e-meter, the device used in Scientology auditing. The close-up of a barreled piece of silver metal seems like an unfinished soda can. But take a look at the tubes in this photo (pictured right) and it’s not a far leap to see the poster as a macro view of one of those e-meter tubes. But then what’s that dirty, flat-champagne-like liquid draining out of the poster (notice the drops at the top)? It could reference Hubbard’s Naval background and his life on a yacht, and there’s a vague nautical element to the fonts. Or it could refer to the flushing of alcohol that comes with the Scientology auditing process. Whatever the case, it creates a nice refraction in the word “MASTER,” bisecting it and putting the halves increasingly off kilter as you go from left to right, a reflection of the schism hinted at in the second trailer (” Just say something that’s true! “). This probably won’t be the only poster for The Master , but don’t expect a second one-sheet to bathe the plot in sunlight. There Will Be Blood had two domestic one-sheets, and while the teaser was far more engaging than the final art neither gave the game away. Time will tell whether The Master follows suit, but like with TWBB the mystery surrounding the film — encapsulated in this excellent first poster — makes the wait to see it interminable. Dante A. Alec Baldwin is once again a married man. The actor married Halaria Thomas on Saturday in front of family and friends in New York City. There were no Alec Baldwin-photographer incidents on the way to the service. Ireland Baldwin, the groom’s 16-year-old daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger, was in attendance, along with stars such as Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, Mariska Hargitay, Woody Allen and Alec’s brothers Billy and Stephen. Matthew Hiltzik, a friend of the couple, announced the news on Twitter: “Hilaria Thomas and Alec Baldwin were married this evening in New York City, sharing the occasion with family and friends inside the Cathedral, and Alec warmly receiving congratulations from well-wishing fans on his way into the service.” The bride wore a silk magnolia trumpet Amsale gown with cap sleeves and a keyhole back neckline. The 30 Rock star groom donned a tux from Tom Ford. The bridesmaids wore eclectic miss-matched dresses, some in black, gray and turquoise, others in bold turquoise-and-purple tie-dyish prints. The venue was decked out with bridal-white roses, hydrangeas and calla lilies. Baldwin, 54, began dating Hilaria Thomas , 28, last summer and immediately seemed smitten. They announced their engagement earlier this spring. Congratulations to the happy couple! [Photo: WENN.com]
I’ve had this Imogen Thomas chick on the site before, mostly walking around in a bikini or doing calisthenics on the beach, but these shots have really gotten my attention. Here she is dropping a boatload of cleavage at a photoshoot for something, possibly lingerie or strawberries, I don’t really know. More importantly she’s squeezing together a massive amount of boobage and I for one am very proud of her. Well done.
Thomas Beatie may be separated from wife Nancy, but the drama between the self-proclaimed Pregnant Man and his mate of nine years is far from over. Based on court documents obtained by TMZ, Beatie has filed for divorce and claims in the papers that Nancy attacked him on various occasions. In February of this year, for example, she allegedly cursed Thomas out and shoved him because he tried to stop her, while “visible intoxicated,” from driving the couple’s three kids to daycare. “She hit me in the crotch,” Beatie says on a 911 call made in regard to this incident. A month before this encounter, Thomas says Nancy woke up and simply started punching him. “This night, like every night, [Nancy] hovers over me, threatening me with physical and emotional abuse,” he writes in the court documents. Nancy – who was barred by a judge last month from going near Thomas or the kids – has responded by filing her own papers, which deny Beatie’s allegations and state that he’s the one who has gotten physical with her . Another hearing is scheduled for May 7.

I was hoping to get some more pictures of Selena Gomez hanging out in her bikini on the set of her annoying girlie movie, you can never have too many bikini pictures, but instead all I’ve got are these shots of the hottie wearing silly looking hats and even sillier looking winter boots. I get the feeling that my fashion sense just isn’t quite on the same page as today’s youths and I’m glad. Douche wear just isn’t for me.
