Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 Episode 12 marked the last installment of the medical drama until February. Sad is that is, it gave us plenty to talk about until then. It was April’s big day, but it was hardly going well at the onset, as she worried about Jackson. Meanwhile, Cristina and Meredith continued to argue. A lot. Meanwhile, Bailey was honest with Ben about his move to Seattle, Shane put himself in a risky situation, and McDreamy received a life-changing phone call. We’re not going to spoil anything more about Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 Episode 12 here, because you’ve come to watch “Get Up, Stand Up” for yourself. Saturday Night Live hears the criticism. And it’s finally doing something about it. Following the exodus of Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen following last season, the long-running sketch comedy hired six new cast members, all of whom have something in common: They’re white. This led to a number of diversity complaints, considering the show actually employees a grand total of zero African-American performers, something it mocked when Kerry Washington ( Scandal ) hosted in November. But insiders now confirm to The Hollywood Reporter that NBC held showcases in Los Angeles and New York this month in order to hire an African-American female. One is expected to debut as early as January. Overall, there are three people of color (Kennan Thompson, Jay Pharaoh and Nasim Pedrad) in the show’s 16-person cast and SNL has only ever had four African-American women on stage: Yvonne Hudson (1980-81), Danitra Vance (1985-86), Ellen Cleghorne (1991-95) and Maya Rudolph (2000-2007). But Thompson recently said this was less a reflection of producer Lorne Michaels and more of simply finding the right individual. “It’s just a tough part of the business,” Thompson told TV Guide of the show’s diversity issues. “Like in auditions, they just never find ones that are ready.”

Leyla Ghobadi would like to make a slight amend to her claim that she slept with Kanye West while he was dating Kim Kardashian: In a new interview, the 26-year old Canadian model says she did NOT sleep with Kanye West while he was dating Kim Kardashian. So there you go. “We met backstage, as I knew members of his band,” Ghobadi tells The Sun . “We ended up having sex at the Thompson Hotel.” Leyla says she was then flown to Kanye’s Toronto concert two days later and “had sex again” with the star. HOWEVER: “This was all before Kim Kardashian and he never spoke about her.” That is quite the change from the model’s previous position, when she told Star that Kanye laughed off his relationship with Kardashian as a publicity stunt. Kanye quickly came out and shot down Ghobadi’s claims , which have now shifted from cheating allegations to a cheating warning for Kim Kardashian: “He will never be faithful to one girl and has women falling at his feet all the time,” she tells the British newspaper. We somehow down Kim and Kanye care at the moment, however. They are brand new parents !
During McDonald’s annual shareholders meeting last week, CEO Don Thompson found himself forced to defend the company’s menu options. To a nine-year old girl. Asked why the global chain didn’t offer more healthy recipes and items, Thompson responded to the inquisitive young lady by saying the restaurant isn’t as bad for you as many seem to believe. “We don’t sell junk food,” Thompson said. “My kids also eat McDonald’s… We serve a lot of foods and veggies at McDonald’s and are trying to sell even more with the apples that we introduced into the Happy Meal.” During the same gathering, Thompson was asked by a doctor to stop marketing to children, which led to another defense from the CEO. “We provide high quality food. We always have; it’s real beef, it’s real chicken, it’s real tomatoes, real lettuce, real fruit, real smoothies, real dairy, real eggs, and we do it in a way that is also affordable,” he said. Do you agree with this assessment? Does McDonald’s sell junk food? Yes, of course D’uh! What else would you call it?!? View Poll »

Talk about slizzard gone all wrong! Via DailyNews reports : A DJ killed a man after waking up at a party to find a peen had been drawn on his face, the Old Bailey heard. Vanessa Barrows, who had hosted the ten-hour party at her apartment in Tooting, south London, told the court everyone at the party was enjoying themselves. But the joke turned sour when the ‘boy banter’ got out of hand and party-goer Anthony Thompson, 26, was punched to the ground outside. Mr Thompson’s head struck the floor and he died from brain damage, jurors heard. Thomas Evans, 32, from Morden, Surrey, denies manslaughter following the all-night party in February last year, claiming self-defense. She said Mr Evans had fallen asleep in an armchair when morning approached and some condoms had fallen out of his pocket. She added: ‘I got my lipstick out and drew a peen on his face. It was done for a laugh.’ Miss Barrows said that when Evans woke up, he had seen the funny side of it. She also nodded off and woke to find a row going on. She said: ‘It was just silly boy banter between Anthony and Tom. ‘Anthony was saying about who was stronger than who. It was a joke. They were friends.’ Miss Barrows said Mr Thompson had been trying to wind Evans up, while Evans was not reacting and was trying to calm things down. After people started to leave, she heard scuffling outside and found Mr Thompson on the ground when she got downstairs. Peter Clement, prosecuting, said that when Evans woke up he seemed to take the drawing on his face in ‘good spirits’. As the banter continued, Mr Thompson was heard to say in bravado: ‘I can knock any one of you blokes out.’ Evans replied: ‘You couldn’t knock me out.’ Mr Clement added: ‘That set off a chain of events.’ The trial continues. Damn. This sounds crazy. Who would think that such a simple prank could turn deadly? Do you think that Evans should be convicted for manslaughter? Photo Credit: LOLPranks
You can’t be serious … Jason Thompson, the son of Republican Wisconsin U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Thompson, made an off-color remark at President Obama’s expense which has now gone viral: In a clip posted on YouTube from a Republican Party Of Kenosha County brunch event, Jason Thompson commented that “we have the opportunity” to send President Barack Obama “back to Chicago — or Kenya,” drawing applause from the crowd. Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus was among the other speakers, adding that “we have an opportunity to save America” by electing Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Shorewood (Wis.) Patch reports that Tommy Thompson, who was not at the event, told reporters that he had not seen the video. A spokesperson for his campaign told BuzzFeed that “Jason Thompson said something he should not have, and he apologizes.” This, amidst all of the denials that race is not at all involved. From the mouths of babes comes the conversation at the dinner table. Shame on all of you who do this. Republicans have lost their ability to feel shame. Anything is okay as long as they win.
