Weddings in the land of Westeros tend to end badly, so dress designers were probably a bit surprised when brides-to-be across the globe began requesting Game of Thrones -inspired bridal gowns. Natalie Dormer’s topless photos may have caught the attention of male GoT  fans, but it was it the rose-and-thorn adorned wedding dress that Natalie wore during Margaery Tyrell’s wedding to Prince Joffrey that’s caught the attention of female viewers. Yes, despite its unique cut and color, the dress Dormer wore during the so-called “Purple Wedding” has become a fan favorite and is expected to appear in several GoT -themed ceremonies this upcoming wedding season. The dress has made a star of the HBO series’ costume designer Michele Clapton, who says the dress was inspired by the Tyrell family’s rose sigil and the form-fitting cut of the grown represents Margaery’s desire to break with tradition (and piss off Joffrey’s mother, Cersei). Spoiler alert  (although we’re of the opinion that if you’re behind on the show, you should probably avoid Thrones -themed web news): King Joffrey gets killed at the Purple Wedding, the victim of a murder plot that’s not resolved by the episode’s end. So hopefully women who felt inspired by the event won’t take their homages any further than emulating Margaery’s style. Game of Thrones Season 4: New Actors In The Seven Kingdoms!

The fourth season premiere of Game of Thrones drew record ratings, and the wildly popular series has already been renewed for seasons 5 and 6 , so the new actors to join the cast of GOT are a lucky lot of virtual unknowns, even if most of their characters will probably end up being slaughtered in horrific fashion. He plays the savage Styr. 5. Hafpor Julius Bjornsson Icelandic strongman Bjornsson. He plays Sandor Clegane on Game of Thrones. The most buzzed-about new star in the land of Weteros is Pedro Pascal who assumes the role of Oberyn Martell – a nobleman with a score to settle. Also known as the Red Viper, Martell proves to be a game-changing character in upcoming storylines. Pascal has stated  that he’s perfectly comfortable with the show’s graphic depictions of Martell’s dalliances with both sexes.  Indira Varma plays Martell’s sultry traveling companion, Ellaria Sand. Judging by her previous stint on HBO’s Rome, we’re guessing Varma is also okay with showing her seductive side on camera.  In a surprise casting change, Michiel Huisman replaced Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis – love interest to Emilia Clarkes ‘ Daenerys . Skrein was a fan favorite, but left to take on the role previously played by Jason Statham in a reboot of the popular Transporter franchise.  Producers also recast the part of Sandor Clegane with Icelandic strongman Hafpor Julius Bjornsson – a first-time actor with a name straight from the imagination of George RR Martin. Since GOT ‘s writers somehow thought the series was lacking in the badass department, Styr, the Magnar of Thenn was also introduced in the season 4 premiere. He’s portrayed by Russian actor Yuri Kolokolnikov, who had the dubious pleasure of roasting a human arm over a fire in his first scene.  Fun stuff! Jennifer Aniston celebrated her 45th birthday  in February and its a testament to the actress’ enduring hotness that she can still go out in public without makeup and look better than stars half her age. That’s Jen on the set of her new movie Cake, rocking a makeup free face and a frumpy sweater. Okay, she may not look as good as she does at her glammed-up best, but not only is Jen one of the only actresses in Hollywood still enjoying a thriving career in her mid-forties, she could easily pass for 10 years younger! Jen continues to make headlines for her private life (the latest drama is her possible breakup with Justin Theroux)  but she also continues to land plum roles in a wide variety of successful films. In Cake – the movie she’s shooting now the Anna Kendrick and Sam Worthington – Jen plays a member of a support group for people suffering from chronic pain. Sounds, um…funny? Emilia Clarke may already star on one hit HBO series, but while the Game of Thrones actress changed her look and learned to be a badass mother of dragons for her role as Daenerys Targaryen, she still feels like she’s better suited for Williamsburg than Westeros. “I’d give my right arm to be, like, a random extra on  Girls . Just to walk past one of the scenarios. I’d love that more than anything,” Clarke said in a recent interview. Clarke added: “Only, without the wig, they wouldn’t recognize me,” referring to the fact that she looks completely different on Game of Thrones ,  as she sports brown hair and a much softer look in real life. GOT has made Emilia an Internet fan favorite with dozens of sites devoted to praising her looks and talent. She’s basically the opposite of Lena Dunham who gets plenty of attention online, but mainly in the form of tweets encouraging her to put her clothes back on. Still, Clarke says she dreams of a collaboration with Dunham. Not to knock Girls, but we think it would be something of a demotion for Emilia. Amassing a world-conquering army is slightly cooler than collecting STDs. Game of Thrones Season 4 Trailer: A New World

Arya is on the run. Jaime is getting a shave. And Dany is getting down to business. HBO has released the final trailer for Game of Thrones Season 4 and it features fresh footage from this epic drama. In the following promo, we see a Tyrion who is all out of wit and sarcasm, down on his luck, locked in jail; we watch as Jaime orders Brienne to hunt down Arya; we watch a vegeful Stannis standing on the beach. And we are treated to dragons. HBO has unveiled a new  Game of Thrones Season 4 poster. And it doesn’t exactly come bearing good news for… well, anyone. The promotional art centers on the mysterious three-eye crow, whose feathers are made to look like swords and who is flying beneath an ominous tagline that reads: All Men Must Die.
