Pass (on) the Salt: 12-21 DVD Roundup

With Christmas right around the corner, time is running out to find some stocking stuffers for the skinema fan on your list. Luckily, Mr. Skin has made it easy for you by rounding up the best of this week’s crop of DVDs and Blu-rays for holiday T&A, including Angelina Jolie in Salt and a fully frontal Tilda Swinton in the Blu-ray release of the arthouse flick Orlando . Salt T&A-lister and recent Golden Globe nominee Angelina Jolie doesn’t show us her salt shakers in the spy thriller Salt , but in the opening scene we see Angelina in her bra and panties as she’s being interrogated in a jail cell. If that doesn’t do it for you, you might want to check out Angelina’s naked appearances in Original Sin , Taking Lives , and the skinstant classic Gia , where she goes lesbo with Elizabeth Mitchell . Have a holly Jolie Christmas! Wall Street / Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Out in a DVD two-pack, it’s this year’s high-stakes financial drama Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps paired with the 1987 original Wall Street . Costars Carey Mulligan and Susan Sarandon are the actresses who never strip in Money Never Sleeps , so check the first film to see Suzen Murakoshi bare boobs, butt, and bush at the 13-minute mark. Now that’s a good skinvestment! Orlando Nude on Blu-ray, Tilda Swinton stars in the Virginia Woolf adaptation Orlando , the story of an Elizabethen nobleman who is ordered by the Queen to stay forever young who turns into hot babe a few centuries later. The transformation is complete at the 56-minute mark when Tilda goes fully frontal looking into a mirror. Nice skinton, Ms. Swinton! The Matador Also nude on Blu-ray, Pierce Brosnan stars as a drunken, anxiety-ridden hit man who has to enlist the help of mild-mannered Greg Kinnear to pull off his last job in the 2005 arthouse hit The Matador . Mamtastic Mexican mamasita Azucena Medina puts the T&A in The Ma-TA-dor when she bares her butt one minute in and then goes topless on a strip club stage at the 17-minute mark. Ole !

Three New Clips From Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Sadly Tilda Swinton-Free

Appropriately enough for a Sunday morning, clips from the latest installment of everyone’s favorite Jesus-tinged adventure series, The Chronicles of Narnia , have been released. Older siblings Peter and Susan are gone, replaced by their pug-nosed brat cousin named Eustace, who accompanies Lucy and Edmund Pevensie back to Narnia. I’m sure his bratty behavior will lead to an Aslan-led intervention, but I don’t know if I can handle two-plus hours of listening to him whinge. Check out the clips and judge for yourself!

Which of Cougar Town’s Freakish New Titles Do You Prefer?

Creator Bill Lawrence has planned on retitling Cougar Town for months now, and while his original choice of C-Town has our vote, E! reports that the suits at ABC are considering a more drastic name change , including one that’s so dramatic it actually… is insane. Insane . Let’s break down the weird new titles of Cougar Town together, as a traumatized family.

VIDEO: And Here is Tilda Swinton Dancing in a Flash Mob

What did you do this weekend? As promised , Tilda Swinton spent her Saturday dancing in an Edinburgh flash mob that recreated a scene from Laurel and Hardy’s Way Out West . I could tell you that it was to raise awareness for her 8 1/2 Foundation, but you’ve seen the screencap. You already know you have to watch this.

John C. Reilly: ‘The Older I Get, the Less Interested I Am in Seeing My Movies’

When it came time for Mark and Jay Duplass to choose a leading man for Cyrus , their first studio film, it had to be John C. Reilly. The 45-year-old actor has spent much of his career taking what’s on the page and embroidering it with improvisation and inspiration, and that’s the exact approach the Duplasses have spent their last few movies refining. Whether he’s riffing wildly in Talladega Nights or taking a much more controlled approach (as he does in Lynne Ramsay’s upcoming We Need To Talk About Kevin ), Reilly has the ability to make even the craziest lines and behavior of his characters seem utterly natural. Last week, I met up with him at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles to talk about Cyrus , tease Kevin , and discuss his ever-shifting attitude toward his own work.

REVIEW: Tilda Swinton Dazzles in Virtuosic I Am Love

A clamorous Italian counterpart to Summer Hours, last year’s lyrical meditation on French tradition in decline, I Am Love also examines fading nationalist notions of legacy and institution through the story of a prominent family’s slow slide from grace. Or that’s one way to look at it: Bold, weird, and a little stalkerish in its intensity, Luca Guadagnino’s third feature is an open cinematic buffet, as ready to satisfy as it is to displease, depending on your taste and appetite. It lends itself to a number of persuasive primary readings — from proto-feminist awakening to sexual-identity crisis; bitter cultural critique to soaring infidelity melodrama; sui generis tour de force to sweaty exercise in the ecstasy of aesthetic influence — and has plenty of flaws that might be dwelled on as well. It’s a lot of movie; the choice is really yours.

Tilda Swinton’s Flash Mob

We can all agree that the recent Ghostbusters and Glee flash mobs were a little bit adorable, but is the fad played out? Not if Tilda Swinton has anything to say about it. She’s planning a flash dance on June 26 to The Avalon Boy’s “At the Ball” in order to promote her new 8 1/2 Foundation, explaining , “It’s a song from Laurel and Hardy’s funniest film Way Out West . In the film, Stan and Ollie do a wee dance, which is rubbish compared to Cyd Charisse or Gene Kelly, or any trained dancer, and yet it’s one of the most charming, amusing, gentle, child-like musical numbers in the whole of cinema history.” Book your trip to Edinburgh now! The trailer is out now for Tilda Swinton’s festival stunner I Am Love , which you may remember was the subject of our conversation with her back at Sundance (that is, when we weren’t talking about Conan O’B rien ). It’s ravishing and totally incomprehensible — just like the film!
