My first Bieber experience was in 2010 when Justin RT’d one of…

My first Bieber experience was in 2010 when Justin RT’d one of my tweets . I had just bought his album, only out of curiosity to see what he sounded like, and I instantly fell in love with him. It wasn’t until i google’d a bit about him that I  realized  he was that kid singing “With You” in his bedroom. Anyway, I had been tweeting him ALL day and got no response. Then all of my timeline started to blow up with tweets to Justin. Being the un-experienced fan I had no idea that they only did this when he was online or “creepin”. I had already given up and just joined in on tweeting my favourite songs from his album.  I t wasn’t until later when my emails blew up that I realised that he   had RT’s me! I was SO happy, I was jumping around and stuff. I had only just became a fan and this is what he did to me!  My second Bieber experience was the biggest one. It happened 4 th  March 2011. People had constantly told me to give up on my dream and that I was never going to meet Justin. One of them especially was a girl who was “supposedly” my  best friend . She was a HUGE Bieber fan too. She’s always been the girl who got everything she wanted. She got her bedroom covered in posters, she had every single thing to do with Justin bieber, but me? I couldn’t afford that and every day she would remind me. Everyday I’d call up my local radio station and request Baby and got to be good friends with the radio presenter, she said that if Justin was ever in the studio she would get me in to meet him .  I was having a bad year, my parents spilt and I became a part-time guardian to my 2 year old brother. My auntie suggested that me and my cousin should get tickets as our Christmas presents. We ended up with floor seats, 3 rows from the front. The girl who always told me I’d never see him live/meet him had bought the £300 V.I.P   package and bragged about it like everyday of her life! She had seats 2 rows behind me. When I told her what seats I had, she told me that I got the tickets because people felt sorry for me. But karma is a bitch! It turned out that there would only be a V.I.P sound check for the London concerts so everything she bragged about didn’t happen and people thought she was lying. Me being the nice person I am decided to stick up for her and tell them the story so she wouldn’t look stupid.  The day the tickets arrived I had a leaflet with them about joining  bieberfever.com  I joined using my birthday money (it cost £30 because of international fees) and became a member. I saw that you could win a chance to meet Justin. I made a video and entered. They told me i would know if i won 24hours before the concert. I had no reply and gave up hope.  11:56pm on the night before the concert I received an email, “  CONGRATULATIONS JUSTIN BIEBER FAN ”. The next day when I met him, I felt on top of the world. I had just met my idol and all I could say was that “he’s real”. I ran up to him and hugged him. He hugged back and was like, “Awhh” When we took the picture, we realized it was just him me and my cousin. We were supposed to be in groups of 4 so we didn’t understand. It turned out my auntie had a Justin Bieber hoody on because she was cold and they though she was a fan. When we took the picture and stuff he said thank-you and I handed him a letter to give to his mom. I said, “Please will you give this to your mum” and he looked really surprised and said, “What? My mom, my momma?” We both smiled pointing to Kenny. I replied. “Okay but it’s really important” he looked confused, “Don’t worry its nothing bad” he smiled and said “Ok bye girls” then we left.  After meeting him I had a phone call and it was from the radio station asking me to go down and do an interview about it. I was also on local radio news. Everything that went on that year, God finally gave me hope. I later found out that the things that girl was saying to me are a type of bullying. We are no longer friends and she is stuck with one person at school. I’m glad I could finally see who she really was. It was thanks to Justin Bieber and his team that she can no longer put me down.   T hanks for reading. Love Jodie -@ItsJodieCrouch Click here to listen to my interview with the radio station. Amy Winehouse Paid Tribute By Russell Brand, Kelly Clarkson, More

Mark Ronson, Dap Kings and Mary J. Blige also weigh in on singer’s death at 27. By Gil Kaufman Amy Winehouse Photo: Peter Macdiarmid/Getty Images for NARAS As London police continued their inquest into the death of Amy Winehouse on Saturday, tributes to the troubled singer poured in from friends, admirers and perfect strangers in awe of a major talent gone too soon. From Russell Brand and Kelly Clarkson to longtime producer Mark Ronson, the condolence notes paid homage to the 27-year-old crooner’s prodigious gifts as well as her haunted soul and the demons that chased her for much of her public life. Click for photos of Amy Winehouse’s life and career. At press time, there was still no word on a cause of death, though an autopsy was planned for Monday according to reports. Shortly after Winehouse’s body was found in her London apartment on Saturday, officials said the death of the singer who long struggled with addiction to drugs and alcohol was being treated as “unexplained,” though foul play was not suspected. One of the most touching and personal tributes to Amy Winehouse came from actor Russell Brand, who also famously struggled with substance abuse before finding sobriety in 2003. Brand wrote a lengthy post on Saturday in which he touched on the dangers of addiction and sadness over an artist he called a “genius.” See a Timeline of Winehouse’s Troubles Over the Years . “When you love someone who suffers from the disease of addiction you await the phone call. There will be a phone call,” he wrote of the dreaded ring in the night with bad news. “The sincere hope is that the call will be from the addict themselves, telling you they’ve had enough, that they’re ready to stop, ready to try something new. Of course though, you fear the other call, the sad nocturnal chime from a friend or relative telling you it’s too late, she’s gone.”

Tyrese Talks Twitter, New Movies, Book And Album On The Cover Of JET Magazine

Read the original here:

Singer, actor and now author, Tyrese Gibson, caught up with the editors of JET magazine recently where he discussed topics like his upcoming roles in Fast Five (apart of the Fast and the Furious series) and another Transformers movie which are both scheduled to hit theaters this summer. Tyrese also spoke about his new album which is set to his stores this year and even his first book, “How to Get Out of Your Own Way”, which is set to hit bookstores this April. Looks like Tyrese has been pretty busy lately! The 32-year old also had time to do a full length interview and although all of the Q&A session did not make the magazine, we’ve got the scoop on the interview outtakes below. When Asked why he tweets about God so much : “It’s overwhelming. I’ve actually had people to say, ‘Man this dude talk about God so much, I’m-a unfollow.’ He don’t supposed to follow me. If you don’t want me talking about God, this is my Twitter page, it’s my timeline, I can shout out the man, I can shout out my source as much as I want to. Period. And at the end of the day, I feel like so many people are inspired and motivated by my story and my career and whatever else, I’m giving people an understanding that I didn’t make it this far in my life on talent alone. I’m a thinking man. I’m a God-fearing man. I recognize that God has blessed me and ordered my footsteps, but I’m also saying to everybody, “I’m doing the work.” Like, ain’t nobody given me nothing. Period. And so, I look at Twitter as me saying Thank you to all of my fans.” When asked why he doesn’t edit himself on Twitter: “It’s not something that I purposely do. It’s not coming from a space of rebellion. I just really want people to know some of the things I know. I’ve had people say, ‘I was a big fan of yours, but me loving you just went to a whole other level because of the things that you write and the things that you speak.’ And so, unfortunately this is a town and Hollywood in particular, where people can fall in love with who you appear to be, the surface, right? But then when they get off camera, there’s somebody completely the opposite.” When asked how he stays hungry: “I live my life by these words: ‘You can’t get points today for yesterday’s game.’ You won MVP last week, OK, get over it. It’s like, there’s another level to this thing and people like Will Smith and Denzel and Rev Run and … and like I got a few billion-dollar friends and multi-billion friends … these people have really messed up from showing me this life and lifestyle because I know that there’s a-whole-nother level of playing field out there that I can get to. Now, people get complacent – and I know if you leave this in there, it’s just gonna shake people up – people stop being inspired when they have more than all of their friends. If you do that, then you lose your motivation, because you the highest dude on your playing field. Gotta love that Tyrese.. and his tweets.. Read the rest over at JET. Lindsay Lohan ‘Should Reach Out To Oprah,’ Fans Say

Fans give MTV News a variety of ways the troubled starlet can make a comeback. By Mawuse Ziegbe Lindsay Lohan arrives at court Friday Photo: Robyn Beck/ Getty Images Between the multiple jail and rehab stints, alcohol-monitoring devices and a dearth of high-profile onscreen roles, this year appears to have been especially trying for Lindsay Lohan . On Friday, the actress was sent to jail for the second time in three months (she was released the same day) after she admitted to failing a court-ordered drug test. Lohan will reportedly don a SCRAM bracelet for the second time this year and is due to head back to court on October 22. Her legal drama has all but eclipsed her film career and many wonder if Lohan can still attract fans with her work as ably as she can hog headlines with her antics. On Sunday (September 26), just days after her most recent jail stint, MTV News went to directly to the fans in New York’s Times Square to ask how they think Lohan can revive her career. “[She could make a comeback] if she actually would just learn from something and … take something seriously, and not act like … the world revolves around her and she has these special privileges that no one else has,” Lauren Suitors said. She pointed out that many are able to overcome bad decisions after they’ve hit rock bottom. “Other people have gone to jail and they come out and they’re just fine, but she just keeps making the same mistakes again.” “I really think that she probably needs to revamp herself and prove to everyone that she’s capable of being a good actress and cleaning up her life, ’cause, as of now, she’s kind of gone into a downward spiral,” Jenny Phillips observed. Phillips said Lohan should head back to rehab and put in the work when it comes to a comeback because she is ultimately a talented star. “She’s a legitimate actress when she’s not all drugged up and stuff.” Sarah Leigh said Lohan’s issues stem from her substance abuse problems , an observation the actress largely agrees with, and suggested a single step toward getting her act together: “Stop taking drugs!” Evoking the “All publicity is good publicity” philosophy, Mel Dummett said that Lohan’s high-profile high jinks will probably boost for enfeebled status as a box-office draw. “I think this is actually going to revive her career ’cause she’s been in the news,” she said. “Any celebrity site you go to she’s covering the whole thing.” Tramel Ulysses agrees that she should “keep doing what she do” and that, ultimately, everybody makes mistakes. “I don’t think she should be judged because everybody mess up, people do wrong things, people say they civilized but people also do bad things,” Ulysses noted. “Everybody have their bad days.” Sebastian Moore said Lohan should look to a higher power to guide her through the drama. “Just try to reach out to Oprah and let her solve everything,” Moore said. “That’s what I would do.” How do you think Lindsay Lohan can revive her career? MC Hammer Goes After Jay-Z For "So Appalled" Line

‘You wanted my attention … (Jigga) …you got it’ he tweets. By Mawuse Ziegbe MC Hammer Photo: Getty Images Kanye West’s latest G.O.O.D. Friday track, “So Appalled,” features some hard-hitting bars from a diverse ensemble of spitters, including Swizz Beatz and RZA. However, the lyrics of one MC in particular, Jay-Z, may have hit below the belt, according to another rap star. MC Hammer has apparently taken issue with a line in which Hov references the much-publicized dissolution of the “U Can’t Touch This” star’s hefty fortune. “Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused/I lost 30 mil’ so I spent another 30/ ‘Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me,” Jigga spits. After the track hit the Web, Hammer knocked out a series of missives on his Twitter account blasting the hip-hop heavyweight. On Friday night, when a Twitter fan asked Hammer if he had any comment about Jay’s rhyme, the rap star Hammer shot back with “The Answer to Jay comes on Oct 31 ( Devils Nite) ..I saw him coming.” The rapper-turned-preacher hit up the track’s architect the next morning, with “@ kanyewest jay-hoe aka #HellBoy Tell Jay Oct 31 (Devils Nite). We’ll see if this record and video ‘Hurt’s Him.’ ” The “Too Legit To Quit” star also tweeted “You wanted my attention #HellBoy (Jigga) ..you got it,” and attached a link to a 36-second video of himself pummeling a punching bag. Hammer also taunted fans who were staunchly Team Hov. “These lil demons and Imps stopping by timeline today … Yes, I dissed yo #Daddy … The dude who made the #Lucifer song … smh,” he typed , referencing Jay’s The Black Album track. “Laughing at these grown men coming on my timeline with they #pompoms waving for #HellBoy (Jigga).” Although Hammer relayed some hostile tweets, the Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em rapper seemed to want to settle the drama in studio, reminding his Twitter followers that he was readying a response. “I’m done until it’s time … Oct 31,” Hammer wrote . “See, no need for such nastiness. I’m going back to the baggy pants that keeps you off guard. :)” Do you agree with MC Hammer’s comments about Jay-Z? Sound off below! Related Artists Jay-Z Hammer

BP: Cap on gushing well removed, oil flows freely

Robotic submarines removed the cap from the gushing well in the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday, beginning a period of at least two days when oil will flow freely into the sea. It's the first step in placing a tighter dome that is supposed to funnel more oil to collection ships on the surface a mile above. If all goes according to plan, the tandem of the tighter cap and the surface ships could keep all the oil from polluting the fragile Gulf as soon as Monday. BP spokesman Mark Proegler said the old cap was removed at 12:37 p.m. CDT on Saturday. “Over the next four to seven days, depending on how things go, we should get that sealing cap on. That's our plan,” said Kent Wells, a BP senior vice president. It would be only a temporary solution to the catastrophe unleashed by a drilling rig explosion nearly 12 weeks ago. It won't plug the busted well and it remains uncertain that it will succeed. The oil is flowing mostly unabated into the water for about 48 hours — long enough for as much as 5 million gallons to gush out — until the new cap is installed. The hope for a permanent solution remains with two relief wells intended to plug it completely far beneath the seafloor. Engineers now begin removing a bolted flange below the dome. The flange has to be taken off so another piece of equipment called a flange spool can go over the drill pipe, where the sealing cap will be connected. The work could spill over into Sunday, Wells said, depending on how hard it is to pull off the flange. BP has a backup plan in case that doesn't work: A piece of machinery will pry the top and the bottom of the flange apart. On Friday, National Incident Commander Thad Allen had said the cap could be in place by Monday. That's still possible, given the timeline BP submitted to the federal government, but officials say it could take up to a week of tests before it's clear whether the new cap is working. The cap now in use was installed June 4, but because it had to be fitted over a jagged cut in the well pipe, it allows some crude to escape. The new cap — dubbed “Top Hat Number 10” — follows 80 days of failures to contain or plug the leak. added by: JanforGore

Gallup Poll for June 16, 2010: Many Americans Say Gulf Beaches, Wildlife Will Never Recover

___ To see the various graphs, try clicking on this link. However, if it doesn't work, go to: gallup.com , and look for Poll Number 140762 _______________ June 16, 2010 Many Americans Say Gulf Beaches, Wildlife Will Never Recover Nearly all agree that full recovery will take 10 years or more by Lydia Saad PRINCETON, NJ — From what they have seen of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill rolling onto America's shores, nearly half of Americans (49%) believe that at least some of the affected beaches will never recover. Even more, 59%, believe normal levels for some animal species will never be restored. Predicted Timeline for Full Recovery of Gulf Shore Beaches, Wildlife (Including Fish and Birds) More generally, Americans foresee a very long road to recovery for both the U.S. beaches and wildlife affected by the BP oil spill. The vast majority believe it will be a decade or more, if at all, before either aspect of the Gulf environment is back to normal; few think a full recovery will happen within four years. Separately, Americans broadly agree that the oil spill will negatively affect the U.S. economy and the U.S. consumer. Roughly four in five believe the overall U.S. economy will be hurt, that gas prices will go up, and that food prices will increase. Possible Economic Effects of Gulf Oil Spill Women More Pessimistic Than Men About Undoing Oil Damage The most striking subgroup differences in views about the oil spill's impact are by gender, with women much more pessimistic than men. (Gallup has previously found women to be more concerned than men about environmental matters.) Sixty percent of women, compared with 37% of men, believe some Gulf beaches will never recover — a 23 percentage-point gap. Additionally, there is a 13-point gap between men's and women's perceptions of whether the affected wildlife will fully recover. Predicted Timeline for Recovery of Beaches Predicted Timeline for Recovery of Wildlife Women are also more likely than men to believe that gas prices will increase (83% vs. 74%), and that the U.S. economy in general will be hurt (88% vs. 78%). Bottom Line In his remarks when visiting the Gulf shoreline this week, as well as in his Oval Office address Tuesday night, President Obama has stressed the need for a long-term commitment to the oil spill cleanup. Americans may be getting impatient with BP and the federal government for not doing enough to cap the gushing oil rig and contain the leaked oil, but it appears they are resigned to a lengthy process to restore the beaches and wildlife, with perhaps limited success. Survey Methods Results for this USA Today/Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted June 11-13, 2010, with a random sample of 1,014 adults, aged 18 and older, living in the continental U.S., selected using random-digit-dial sampling. For results based on the total sample of national adults, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is

"No silver bullet" solution to Gulf Spill: Obama

BP said on Friday it may need two more days to know if its complex maneuver to plug a gushing Gulf of Mexico oil well has worked, while President Barack Obama warned there was no “silver bullet” solution to the biggest oil spill in U.S. history. Trying to assert leadership in the face of growing criticism over his handling of the spill, Obama toured the Louisiana Gulf coast, where oil has seeped into delicate marshlands and shut down much of the lucrative fishing trade. BP CEO Tony Hayward flew over the Gulf to where his crew and robots worked on the “top kill” — the injection of heavy fluids, materials and ultimately cement to seal the well one mile below the surface. Hayward said the procedure was making progress choking off the five-week-old leak that has already spewed millions of gallons (liters) of oil into the Gulf. “We have wrestled it to the ground but we haven't put a bullet in its head yet,” Hayward told Reuters while aboard a helicopter over the spill site in the Gulf. When the top kill began on Wednesday, BP said it would need up to 48 hours to gauge its success. But Hayward extended the timeline another 24-48 hours on Friday. He said the top kill's chance of success remained at 60 to 70 percent. BP has called the effort to plug the hole “a “rollercoaster ride,” and investors might say the same. BP shares lost 5 percent on Friday, erasing gains made on hopes for a successful top kill, which aims to eventually seal with cement the ruptured well one mile below the surface. On his second visit to the Gulf in the five-week crisis, Obama faced his own steep challenge to convince Americans that he was in command as frustrated Gulf Coast residents loudly criticized federal authorities for being slow to act and offering too little assistance. “You will not be abandoned. You will not be left behind. We are on your side and we will see this through,” Obama said in a televised statement after meeting local and state officials and inspecting the oil spill damage to the coastline. “I am the president and the buck stops with me,” he said. BP 'WORKING FOR THE GOVERNMENT' The buck may stop with Obama, but the key to stopping the environmental catastrophe lies with BP because the federal government has few tools to work at those depths. Hayward, however, made clear that the government is in charge these days. “We are working for the government,” he said. “The government is running it.” BP views the top kill procedure as its best hope of plugging the well and containing a spill that has tarred its reputation and seen some 25 percent, around $50 billion, wiped off its share price. The company said on Friday the cost of the disaster so far was $930 million. That figure is sure to multiply with cleanup of the oily mess, which is now larger than the spill from the Exxon Valdez disaster off the Alaskan coast in 1989. As Hayward flew toward the site of the rig explosion that killed 11 workers on April 20, the sheen of oil and brown patches of crude and dispersant were visible below. Some 50-60 vessels are in the area working on the BP containment and shut-off effort. Hayward said BP had also injected a “junk shot” of heavier blocking materials, such as shredded rubber and golf balls, into the failed blowout preventer of the ruptured wellhead. They were due to pump in more heavy fluids later on Friday. The mud has not stopped the oil leak but at times has slowed the flow. BP began the top kill operation on Wednesday afternoon and then stopped pumping mud overnight to analyze pressure readings. It did not publicize the halt for many hours, drawing fresh accusations it was concealing information from the public. It denied the charges and blamed an oversight. If the top kill fails, BP says it will try other remedies, such as a second attempt at containing the oil so it can be transported by pipe to a ship at the water's surface or placing a new blowout preventer atop the failed one. FEW LIKE GOVERNMENT RESPONSE Obama said a team of government scientists was exploring contingency plans in case the top kill option failed. “There are not going to be silver bullets or a lot of perfect answers for some of the challenges that we face,” he said. “This is a man-made catastrophe that is still evolving.” continued. added by: JanforGore

Reacting To The Newest Episode Of Lost: "Happily Ever After"

Desmond Hume delivered one hell of a Lost episode last night. “Happily Ever After” may not have delivered the same emotional one-two punch as “The Constant,” but Desmond episodes have a tendency to arrive just as viewers are beginning to become frustrated with certain mysteries — Desmond is here to calm your fears. “Happily Ever After” accomplished that goal, providing a context and reason for the sometimes interesting, sometimes eye-rolling flash sideways sequences that have dominated half of nearly every episode of Lost ‘s final season. Thank you for your help, Desmond. Here’s what we thought of the latest episode of Lost , “Happily Ever After.” 1) So, I was mostly right: the flash-sideways sequences now have meaning, thanks to the Desmond’s revelations in “Happily Ever After.” The flash-sideways will continue to be the prevailing narrative device to accompany the present Island timeline, but from this episode forward, it seems they’ll have a very clear, very direct purpose in attempting to convince everyone from Oceanic 815 that something happened, something they did. Sounds a little bit like what Benjamin Linus was tasked with by Ms. Hawking and Jacob, doesn’t it? Both Jack and Desmond have a certain look in their eyes now, as though they’re consciously aware of the reason they’re on the Island now. We’ve been given a glimpse at what that is, but those guys are hiding someone from us. Are Jack and Desmond the new Jacob and Man in Black? 2) It’s unclear how much each side of Desmond knows. Does Desmond in the flash-sideways know everything about what’s happening on the Island, or only the existence of another timeline? In “The Constant,” Desmond’s mind was actually swapping between the two existences. He was fully in control of himself and able to bring memories of each experience back to the other timeline. We aren’t given an indication that’s happening in “Happily Ever After.” Clearly, Desmond comes back to the Island after the experiment with a newfound purpose, but is that because he experienced everything that we watched, or something else? 3) Ms. Hawking made a triumphant return to Lost and, naturally, she threw things for a loop. At this point, she’s the only one who seems to know what’s really going on. Desmond, Charlie and Jack seem to have pieces to the puzzle, while Hawking is aware of the consequences. She wants to push Desmond away from connecting with Penny. Is that because it would throw off the timeline? Do things need to happen for other things to happen? Well, clearly, but what are those things that need to happen? Surprise, surprise: we’re in the dark on these answers. Charles Widmore does not seem to be aware of what’s happening, though. Why is his wife? Joseph Baxter, Got His Blackberry Fried By Widmore’s Giant Magnet Thingy: 1) I think the creative team actually had good instincts in anticipating when viewers would get fed up with the sideways and might start to bail if they weren’t finally told why they’re watching it. Last night, the sideways was finally codified as something was relevant to the events in the original timeline on the Island. With just one revelation, the concept they devoted about 50% of the season’s screen time has finally had its existence justified. As a fan, I feel I have been assured that investing interest in this storyline was indeed worth my time and will pay off. Even the “Fugitive Kate 2.0” stuff somehow seems legitimate now. Whereas I was previously scared that taking the sideways road would only lead to a cheap Patrick Duffy in a shower, “It was all just a dream” swerve. I can confidently tackle this aspect of this show, knowing that it’s all relevant. Did I mention that I was happy with this revelation? 2) If there was such a thing as mandated quotas for out-of-context homoerotic innuendo, then I think “Happily Ever After” more than met them. Whether it’s Minkowski creepily leaning over Desmond asking, “You looking for some company?” or Daniel pulling Desmond out of his limo to ask him (a complete stranger) “Do you believe in love at first site, Mr. Hume?” It seemed no accident and Desmond reacted accordingly. You almost expected him to say “Uh, sorry brotha, ah don’t swing that way.” After the second time, you’re kind of left wondering if someone was pulling your leg. This is a small point, but the thing about Lost
