Kevin Hart Says He Will Never Play A Gay Character No Madea movies for you … Via US Magazine reports: It’s been big week for comedian Kevin Hart , whose movie The Wedding Ringer was released on Friday, Jan. 16 and who hosted the Jan. 17 episode of Saturday Night Live. But a recent radio interview with the actor, 35, has sparked some controversy after Hart said he would not play a gay character on the screen. “I can’t,” he told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club on Jan. 16 of playing a homosexual character. “Not because I have any ill will or disrespect. Its because I don’t think I’m really going to dive into that role 100 percent because of insecurities about myself trying to play that part. Does that make sense?” The newly-engaged Hart also admitted that he turned down the role of Alpa Chino in 2008’s Tropic Thunder, which ultimately went to Brandon T. Jackson. “The dude, he was doing a lot of stuff in the draft that I read,” Hart said. “It was real flagrant. … I was like, ‘I can’t do this.’” The actor and stand-up comedian went on to explain that he didn’t have any problem with the gay community, adding, “As people, I love you.” Do you think Kevin is wrong for not wanting to play a gay character??

Beyonce, Jay Z, Kelly Rowland and her husband Tim Witherspoon, along with their kids Blue Ivy and Titan Jewell Witherspoon, spent some solid quality time with each other at Soho House in West Hollywood, Calif., on Thursday, Jan. 15, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly. Queen Bey was the first to arrive at the members-only club, with her adorable 3-year-old in tow. According to the insider, the “Drunk In Love” songstress was enjoying one-on-one time with her daughter, who was keeping herself entertained by making “bird noises.” Destiny’s Child alum Rowland, Witherspoon, and their newborn baby, as well as Bey’s hubby Jay Z then joined the mother-daughter duo for lunch. After settling in together on the outdoor patio, the former bandmates gushed over baby Titan. Beyonce held the little tot while Blue played with him, the insider tells Us. While Jay sat relaxed next to Beyonce, Rowland’s husband took advantage of the lunch buffet. “Kelly looked causal and fab in jeans, boots, and a grey sweater,” the source tells Us of the new mom, who only just gave birth to her first child this past November. Beyonce, for her part, looked “stunning” in a pink long-sleeved dress and was very “sweet” and “mommy-like” with the kids. Aw man, nobody got any pictures? This sounds like quite an afternoon. NASA is holding a press conference on Thursday “to discuss an astrobiology finding.” Are they going to announce that they've found evidence of extraterrestrial life? Blogger Jason Kottke took a look at NASA's press release, which touts “an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life” (astrobiology, besides being a cool word, is “the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe”), and decided to investigate further by looking at the participants' resumes. So who are the participants? A geobiologist who's written about “geology and life on Mars”; An oceanographer who's done extensive work on arsenic-based photosynthesis; A biologist examining Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, and its similarities to early Earth; And an ecologist investigating the “chemistry of environments where life evolves.” Now, yes, obviously, throw in a grizzled marine and you've got the making of an awesome movie about discovering aliens. But that's not (the only reason) why Kottke thinks the announcement will be about life on another world. Here's what he says: So, if I had to guess at what NASA is going to reveal on Thursday, I'd say that they've discovered arsenic on Titan and maybe even detected chemical evidence of bacteria utilizing it for photosynthesis (by following the elements). Or something like that. (thx, sippey) Of course, the announcement could be something totally different! Or, it could be that NASA has been contacted by a warlike race of space aliens and a certain-to-fail mission carried out by a ragtag bunch of scientists is our only hope of survival. The picture, by the way, is the sun reflecting off a lake on Titan, “the only place in our solar system beyond Earth known to have liquid on its surface.” HOW COOL IS THAT?! Space, guys!
