On The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Season 2, Shereé Whitfield was planning a Queen of the Night part and delivered the most epic comeback of all-time after a party-planner expressed doubt that all the items Whitfield desired could be found: “Who gonna check me, boo?” 3. Wigged Out Well, wig OFF, to be precise. During a brawl on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 2, Whitfield threw down with Kim Zolciack on the street… with NeNe Leakes trying to mediate. Michael Lohan even somehow showed up for it. 4. A Bad Fortune We go way back to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 1 for this one: remember the bizarre dinner party when hostess Camille Grammer invited her friend, a medium named Allison DuBois, to join the cast members? Barack Obama Gives Joe Biden The Nod To Run For President In 2016 Barry is wit it… Via CNN Vice President Joe Biden received President Barack Obama’s “blessing” to make a 2016 bid for the White House, according to a senior Democrat. But that’s if Biden chooses to run — the decision is his. While he doesn’t need the President’s permission, of course, a potential presidential candidacy was among the topics of their lunch Monday at the White House. The President made clear he would not stand in his way or counsel him against a run, the senior Democrat said. The Vice President’s office downplayed the speculation about Biden’s political future. “Sources continue to speculate about something they know nothing about,” Biden spokeswoman Kendra Barkoff said. “This lunch was a private meeting between two people — the President and the Vice President.” The Vice President was expected to huddle at his home Monday night with Anita Dunn and Bob Bauer, the husband-and-wife team who have been at Obama’s side for much of the last decade, two people familiar with the meeting told CNN. Steve Ricchetti, the Vice President’s chief of staff, was also expected to attend. “As a general rule, we are not going to confirm the Vice President’s private meetings or provide a readout of them,” an aide to the Vice President told CNN on Monday. Dunn, a former White House communications director, and Bauer, a longtime lawyer to Obama, were among those invited to a meeting at the Naval Observatory in Washington. Ted Kaufman, a loyal Biden confidant who briefly occupied his Senate seat from Delaware, was also among those gathering to discuss how Biden could run, if he decides to do so. Biden is leaning toward running, several people involved in discussions told CNN, but they stress that he has not yet firmly made up his mind. The meeting on Monday night, along with his private session on Saturday with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, underscores the length he is going to explore a run. While many top Democrats have already signed onto Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, several former Obama advisers tell CNN they would work for Biden if he jumps into the race. Regina Hall Speaks On New Movie “With This Ring,” Getting Married And Her Father’s Death Veteran Hollywood actress Regina Hall has been popping up on the big and small screen very frequently over the last few years and she recently opened up about landing her first-ever lead role in the upcoming Lifetime film “With This Ring.” We caught up with Regina earlier this week to chat about the film, which was produced by Tracey Edmonds and Gabrielle Union, and she also touched on a few other topics including her own “marriage pact,” her father’s death, being a sex symbol and more. Check out some of what she had to say below: On what makes the film so relatable for her: Well I mean I am a woman who is single. So that, you know, the scenes in the book and in the script which I think has did an amazing job of adapting (unintelligible) to it I mean they resonate with me like so much. And what doesn’t resonate with me resonates with friends in my life. And it has been my friends that have gotten me through a lot of situations and who remind me of so many great things in, you know, my life.So I think it was just – it’s just a very well done well written script. And I always relate to that. But, you know, there were a lot of things about this woman that I relate to a lot. And I think the writers did a fabulous job in catching that. On how losing her father impacted her career choice: I was in grad school getting my Masters in journalism and my father died. He died very, very suddenly of a stroke my very first semester. And it pushed me into really grasping the brevity of life. And then that pushed me into what would I really like to do? You know, and it’s not like I had, you know, journalism always was very interesting to me and I actually loved it as well. But I had so many deeper questions to having lost a parent so young. So I think, you know, that was very big because it was after. And then I just did finish that but it was after that that I decided that I would pursue acting. And I think that was probably that was the biggest catalyst. On whether or not she knows men consider her a “sex symbol:” Well you know what there’s two answers to that. No. Well I’m in sweats and a baseball cap. And look your husband would be like wait a minute, you know, who was that? But I think the other part too is because I’m – I haven’t been in social media so you don’t get to – until five days ago and I’m still not good at it you may not know you don’t hear it as much. And also I don’t necessarily think you need to hear it, you know, I – it’s always wonderful to be supportive. Like the fact that, you know, you are an amazing woman and there is anything that, you know, you’re on, like you’re taking time out to say I really like which you do or that’s just – that’s kind of the beautiful part of it, you know, because it’s a real sincere part of it. And that’s kind of what you love. And, you know, maybe people – maybe people resonate with, you know, that but I, you know, it’s a weird thing feel like sex symbol especially as I’ve gotten older. On not being offered more roles involving nudity after playing a stripper in “The Best Man: I thought after I did Best Man people are going to ask me to strip again. But no one asked me again…I got offended! [Laughs] I thought: ‘Oh, I’m going to be typecast. They’re going to be asking you to play [a stripper].’ Not one role. Not one person asked me to take my clothes off again. On making a real life “marriage pact” with her friends: Oh my God yes. I made that vow. And clearly didn’t stick to it so, I must have come to the same conclusion that [my character] did. But, you know, I’ve had moments where my friends and I have been like look at this – bye this time next year we’re going to be married. It doesn’t matter. On what women can learn from the movie: I think the whole point of the movie — and I certainly resonate with this — is that, you know, and especially as a black woman I say, you know, we can’t wait to be happy. And there’s not an event or relationship or, you know, something that you have planned in your head that creates that. And I know before this movie started I was living in the – in my house but I wanted a yard in my house. And about three years ago, I wanted to move. And I remember the first thought is, oh, you know what? I should probably wait until I get married and then I’ll move. And then I thought well, I don’t know when that is. And I could enjoy my yard right now, you know, because right now is really all I have. And I think that’s the message that, you know, I really hope women take away from it like just there as so many wonderful things and so many wonderful pieces that make up life as a whole. You know, there’s so many different elements. So just because it’s not the way you necessarily envisioned or dreamed it doesn’t mean that it’s not deliciously wonderful. And I hope women really can know that and know that they themselves are the most valuable component in their life. “With This Ring” airs Saturday, January 24th at 8pm and we’ll definitely be tuning in! Later, Petra catches Jane sneaking around her room and beats her to the investigative punch. She says she was taking some Xanax. She then shows Jane the baby’s nursery. Cue the waterworks! In church that evening, Jane blurts out her plans to shag Michael, leading to Xo’s great reaction of “Hallelujah!” However, a few signs – such as a pulled fire alarm and a hotel video message from Rafael – make Michael and Jane decide not to have sex… but they do come to a different conclusion: they’re gonna get married next week! ELSEWHERE: Michael learns Petra’s alibi isn’t true. She was in a stairwell prior to Zazo’s murder, but she can’t explain why. Rafael starts to realize what may have happened when Petra refers to Zazo’s brother by name, making it clear just how close the two of them were. Abuela gets on the lot where Rogelio’s telenovela shoots in order to order to stay away from Jane… but ends up getting swept away by him. The guy is dreamy! The actress does not mention Robert Pattinson or Rupert Sanders by name, but she does make a revealing statement when asked about her past and what she would change. “I stand by every mistake I’ve ever made,” she says. “So judge away.” Many have, of course, calling Stewart out for her affair with Sanders and also for her general demeanor. But Kristen doesn’t try to pretend that she’s someone comfortable in the spotlight, acknowledging her stilted interviews and admitting: “This is totally who I am. I don’t try to force it or turn it into something else or fabricate this personality… so I totally agree when people say I’m, like, the most awkward person.” Among other topics the star delves into: Will she have kids someday? Conservative media personality Glenn Beck says that if A&E cancels Duck Dynasty, which some believe is inevitable, he’ll bring it to his network The Blaze. The hit reality show getting axed would’ve seemed unthinkable only 48 hours ago, but Phil Robertson’s suspension made it a very real possibility. Duck Dynasty: Phil Robertson Under Attack Over Anti-Gay Comments Comments about homosexuality, gay sex, sin and other topics earned him an indefinite hiatus from the show and set the web (pardon the pun) ablaze. In the event that this gets Duck Dynasty canceled by A&E, Beck offered the family a place on his network, writing “[All the other networks] will fold to pressure.” “They will all fold to sponsors. They will all fold to money … the only reason why Phil was put on hiatus and not the rest is because it is a money-printing machine.” Beck said as he sees it, the Robertson family has a choice to make, and that is how to react to the backlash over the patriarch’s anti-gay comments . “If I am in the Robertson family, I sit down with my family and say, ‘Is this the way we’re going to [let] him be treated? Is this who we are?” Beck opined. “Are we going to [be] quiet because he has an opinion about the scriptures?’” Beck said that based on what he knows about the popular family from West Monroe, La., they’re not going to continue as though nothing happened. Lamar may be on his way to a comeback. Oprah Trying To Interview Lamar Dude needs this interview if he wants people to forget about him smoking rocks and chopping down slorey mistresses. According to TMZ: Oprah Winfrey is making a full-court press to get Lamar Odom to sit down and unload … sources connected with both O and Lamar tell TMZ. We’re told no deal has been made, but there have been serious discussions and we’re told Lamar is game if the conditions are right. As for the topics — drug use, Lamar’s troubled marriage to Khloe Kardashian and his future in basketball. Oprah and Lamar have history … during her Kardashian special, she spoke with everyone in the family including Lamar. He’s been skittish about doing interviews with anyone, but O seems to be an exception. If the interview does go down, we just hope he keeps it 100 and doesn’t go the Lindsay Lohan route.
