Remember Me Movie Reviews: Not Good

Well, there’s always Eclipse . While Robert Pattinson fans are excited over that movie’s first official trailer , we have some sobering news: movie critics have responded harshly to the actor’s first starring role as an actual human being. Most of the Remember Me reviews are more critical of the script and the story than of the performances by Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin, but the following excerpts can’t be what anyone associated with the film wishes to hear: A small, dense chamber study of unhappy people looking for hope in the darkness, often literally. – Houston Chronicle I hate the ending. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it more than Kim Basinger hates Alec Baldwin. I hate more than Garfield hates Mondays.

Rachel Bilson is Fucking Boring of the Day

Fuck you Rachel Bilson, for seducing me early on in your career, and giving me hope that you’d be naked in movies, or at least in the party scene, feeding my fantasies at least a little, but instead you just got engaged, got boring and mock me with your conservative outfits, when I know under all that bullshit is a pussy that likes to be ravaged…it’s really insulting that she can live the good life off a cocktease….we need to start a revolt and make the bitch regain our trust to deserve our attention…any more of these boring bullshit pictures and I’m going to be forced to start putting all my energy in ruining this girl. First, I will be applying for a restraining order against her because my sex drive feels threatened by her constant boring pictures and then I am going to start a strongly worded petition that every man who likes fucking pussy will sign because this is seriously a waste of a perfectly good vagina…..and then someone should make her Canadian husband from Star Wars cheat on her so she can move on, the only access I have to him is through his sister who my friend fucked on a carpeted apartment floor in Toronto and humiliated her enough to make her hate both him and me, so we need another insider to start sending whores his way…then we’ll get Bilson back where she belongs, only with more emotional damage, something that always makes a bitch more slutty but until that happens, I hate her… Pics via PacificCoastNews

Drake Is ‘Great For Music,’ LeBron James And Magic Johnson Say

‘Drake is bringing a lot to the table,’ Johnson tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid Drake and LeBron James Photo: canvascleveland.com Celebrity Favorites Drake coached a basketball team in his “Best I Ever Had” music video , and he recently had a chance to call plays with NBA legend Magic Johnson during the NBA All-Star Game festivities in Dallas. Drake and Magic’s team beat the squad coached by Alonzo Mourning and assistant coach Mario Lopez. Common, Chris Tucker and Pitbull were among the celebs who played with athletes such as Rick Fox, Chris Mullin and Terrell Owens. Magic, an NBA Hall of Famer, said working with Drake earned him cool points at home. “Drake is bringing a lot to the table, man, with a young audience,” Magic said in Dallas. “He’s from Toronto. I think he’s bringing it hard and heavy, you know? My daughter said I was cool because I was coaching with him instead of him coaching with me. All right, thank you!” Meanwhile, LeBron James is like all of us, waiting on Drizzy’s Thank Me Later debut . Put aside the fact that they both endorse Sprite or that Drake’s “Forever” was the highlight of James’ “More Than a Game” film soundtrack — #23 said the Toronto MC is just gifted. “Unbelievable recording artist,” LeBron said of Drake. “Unbelievable talent. I’m looking forward [to] his first LP. I think we all got So Far Gone and all the mixtapes he’s come out with. But he’s an unbelievable talent. He’s great for everybody, great for music.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . Related Videos Mixtape Daily: Sean Garrett, Lil Wayne, Fabolous

Drake Says Thank Me Later Influenced By Nas, Andre 3000

‘I went back and really studied Nas and Andre 3000 and then came back with this album,’ rapper said about his debut album. By Jayson Rodriguez Drake Photo: Tyrone Kerr/ FilmMagic Drake has plenty of people onboard to give him advice on the process of recording his major-label debut album, Thank Me Later. There’s Lil Wayne, of course, his lyrical mentor. And Kanye West, who the Toronto MC said has been his biggest musical influence . Jay-Z, in interviews, has even gone on record relaying some tips to the upstart rapper. According to Drake, though, the former “Degrassi” actor sought out the audio work of Nas and OutKast’s Andre 3000 to help inspire the work on his project. “I went back and I really studied Nas,” Drake explained in a video recorded over the weekend and posted online on Monday (February 22) . “Nas was somebody that I used to listen to his raps and never understood how he did it. I always wanted to understand how he painted those pictures and his [rhyming] bar structure. I went back and really studied Nas and Andre 3000 and then came back with this album.” Thank Me Later is due later this year on Young Money/Universal Records. In the spring, the rapper will kick off a headlining, eco-friendly tour to promote the album. The album will be Drake’s first solo project since 2009’s So Far Gone, the dark mixtape that featured the breakout hit “Best I Ever Had.” While the Young Money cohort has been mum about his plans for the follow-up, he did reveal his debut would be more upbeat in comparison to his mixtape. “It’s gonna be bigger, it’s gonna sound happier,” he said. “More victorious, ’cause that’s where I’m at in my life.” Related Artists Drake Nas

Former ‘Growing Pains’ Actor Andrew Koenig Missing

Son of Walter Koenig of ‘Star Trek’ fame was last seen in Vancouver on February 14. By Gil Kaufman Andrew Koenig Photo: IMDB Police in Vancouver are asking the public for help in locating actor Andrew Koenig, the former “Growing Pains” co-star who has reportedly gone missing in the city. According to People, Koenig, 41, who played Richard “Boner” Stabone on 25 episodes of “Pains” in the early 1980s has not been seen since February 14. The actor’s father, Walter Koenig, who played Pavel Checkov on the original “Star Trek” series, told the magazine that his son was visiting friends in Toronto and then traveled to Vancouver, where he lived for a time. While Koenig was expected to return to his Venice, California, home on February 16, Walter Koenig said his son never showed up, and the contents of a letter he received from Andrew (postmarked February 15) concerned him. “He sounded despondent,” Walter said. “Nobody has seen this [note] but my wife and I.” Though Walter was adamant that he did not believe drugs played a part in the apparent disappearance, he said such actions were not unusual for his son. “I think it’s something that has been a part of his makeup for a long time. There’s no single trauma. There’s no episode. There’s nothing of that nature.” He told the Vancouver Sun that Andrew was “not in a good frame of mind when he called us. He was depressed.” The last recorded activity on Andrew’s phone is from February 16, with some bank activity around the same time but nothing since. The Sun ‘s entertainment editor, former actress Maggie Langrick, who befriended Koenig 20 years ago when he lived in Vancouver, said she was worried about him because friends have said Andrew sold some of his possessions before flying to Canada. An avid environmentalist, Koenig never again reached the heights of his “Pains” years in terms of acting but has spent the intervening years doing standup comedy, editing video, working on documentary films and developing a feature script he wrote and hoped to direct.

John Mayer Receives Support From Charity, Porn Producers

Isaac Foundation blogs in defense of the singer, while Vivid Entertainment offers him a screenwriting gig. By Jocelyn Vena John Mayer Photo: Stephen Lovekin/ Getty Images Last week, John Mayer caused an uproar with controversial, racially charged comments he made in an interview with Playboy magazine . But amid the statements of outrage — and his own apologies — one group is coming to the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter’s defense: the Isaac Foundation , a charity for which Mayer has helped raise money. “I thought I would take to our blog to write a quick defense of John Mayer, someone that I have grown to respect for the kind, caring, and compassionate person that he truly is,” reads a message from Andrew McFadyen, the founder of the organization dedicated to curing MPS VI, a rare, progressive disease in children caused by an enzyme deficiency. Mayer has reportedly worked with the charity since the summer of 2008 and has kept in touch with Isaac McFadyen (the child who inspired the organization) and his family. “I know he has said things that turn people off. I know he’s said things that make him sound like someone you would never want your children around — ever. But I also know the person that he truly is and the good things he tries to accomplish with the celebrity status he’s achieved,” the message on the site reads. “A few minutes ago, I asked Isaac to tell me three words he would use to describe John, and he responded, ‘Nice, Friendable, and Loveable.’ Print that, bloggers, and give John his fair shake.” Mayer invited the 5-year-old Isaac and his family to his show in Toronto on Sunday, which followed his tour kickoff in Detroit on Saturday. After visiting with the McFadyens, the singer broke his self-imposed Twitter hiatus to link to the Isaac Foundation site. “Thank You Toronto,” Mayer tweeted . “Here is my friend Isaac I was telling you about. He made me the Valentine card tonight.” Mayer can also be seen in a video from Sunday’s show thanking Isaac for the Valentine onstage. “Sometimes you get beautiful things out of little, tiny mistakes,” the singer said. Over the weekend, Mayer also got support from another camp: porn production company Vivid Entertainment, which offered him a job penning scripts. “We read about your interest in porn in the current issue of Playboy magazine,” founder/co-chair Steven Hirsch said a letter posted on TMZ.com . “When we learned that you make up backstories in your mind and that your ‘biggest dream is to write pornography,’ we decided we’d like to talk to you about doing just that and possibly directing as well.” According to the New York Daily News, Mayer’s publicist said he wouldn’t be accepting the offer. Do you think John Mayer’s charity work makes up for his big mouth? Should he take Vivid’s offer and quit his day job? Sound off below! Related Artists John Mayer
