I don’t talk about how hot Britney Spears looks very often anymore, that whole shaving her head and attacking a car with an umbrella phase was a real turn off, but here she is kind of winning me back. I like a woman who can look hot in a nice pair of jeans and some sexy boots, so I’m really liking these shots. This chick doesn’t look crazy at all, she looks like the kind of chick I could go for a beer with and hope that she let’s my touch her boobs at least once.

On DVD: Isabelle Huppert Tests the Limits in Harrowing Home

Nobody makes movies about crazy families like the French, and Ursula Meier’s Home (2008) is a fresh, mysterious entry in the Post-Modern Family Blues derby, hyperreal to the touch but keeping symbolic secrets. It’s officially a Swiss movie, but I think only because Meier, who’s French, could only find her remarkable location in Switzerland: a lonely, nondescript brick house sitting on the shoulder of a huge expanse of decommissioned highway. The layout, house and road both, are so stark and odd they’re like found objects out of a Surrealist painting.

Movieline Premieres the Jackie-licious Poster for Smash His Camera

Right off the line, still hot to the touch and redolent of that sexy new-poster smell, the one-sheet for Smash His Camera has landed exclusively in Movieline’s driveway. The documentary profiles self-anointed “paparazzo superstar” Ron Galella through nearly five decades of getting up close and personal (maybe too personal) with some of the most famous celebrities in the world. Oscar-winner Leon Gast took home Sundance’s Best Documentary Directing prize for the film following its premiere in January, when even Robert Redford himself spoke of that one time — and I do mean only one time — he outwitted Galella.
