The original American Idol – who has been taking fan requests for covers all summer long, most recently taking on Carrie Underwood – debuted one of the new tracks off her upcoming Greatest Hits album , telling the audience that “Catch My Breath” is a “happy song.” But will it be a hit song? If you thought that the Beatles have been so pored over that there couldn’t possibly be anything new to see, hear or read about them, guess again. The former Fab Four’s business concern, Apple Corps has granted the BBC TV arts series Arena unseen footage of the band. Arena has cut this footage to make a short for its Arena Hotel online project with the digital-arts website The Space. Arena Hotel debuted the short exclusively on Tuesday. A spokesman for The Space says the footage was shot during the making of a documentary about the Beatles 1967 Magical Mystery Tour film and features the band on “a coach trip to a classic British fish-and-chip shop, en route to Newquay, the final destination of the tour.” You can watch it here , but also be sure to check out Movieline’s gallery of stills from the footage , along with shots of the band performing “I Am The Walrus” and “Your Mother Should Know.” (Really, she should.) Magical Mystery Tour was first broadcast by the Beeb on Boxing Day in 1967. At the time, the trippy film confused stodgy audiences and critics, but appreciation of the groundbreaking production has appreciated considerably since then. (That said, Magical Mystery Tour has been broadcast only one other time,on BBC Two in 1979.) Even a French tabloid’s surprising publication of Kate Middleton topless photos can’t faze the classy, graceful Duchess of Cambridge. At least publicly. Friday, visiting a Mosque during their tour of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Kate and Prince William acted like nothing was out of the ordinary in the least. Here are a couple of photos of the gorgeous, smiling Duchess: According to reports, the royal couple was informed of the scandal as they ate breakfast today, shortly before they left to visit the Malaysian mosque. The scandalous photos were allegedly snapped while the royal couple were on vacation in Luberon, France last week, and appear in Closer magazine. The pair stayed at the Chateau d’Autet, the private home of the Queen’s nephew Viscount Linley; the pictures were taken from a LONG way away. The couple obviously did not see any paparazzi as they sunned themselves on the balcony and pool of the estate. Now, they are “deeply saddened.” The magazine’s cover exclaims “OH MY GOD – the photos that will go around the world.” No doubt about that, but it doesn’t look like they’re bringing down her spirits. Snoop Dogg has been banned from entering Norway for two years after trying to enter the country and being stopped by customs for cannabis possession . The star was held at Kjevik Airport while on his way to a music festival, when officials found him with eight grams of the drug. He was fined and released. The 40-year-old’s lawyer said the rapper had no immediate plans to appeal against the ban. His client could ” live with the decision ,” he added. Snoop was also found at the time to be carrying more cash than is legally allowed and was fined 52,000 kroner (around $10,000) for the offenses. He went on to perform at Norway’s Hove Festival before leaving Norway without incident. He won’t be back until Summer 2014 at the earliest. In January, Snoop was also arrested in Texas after border agents found cannabis on his tour bus. He was released with a citation there as well. The rapper is currently on tour and is expected to appear at the Catalpa Festival in NYC Sunday. We’re guessing there will be weed present. [Photo: WENN.com]
