Madonna Accidentally Flashes Breast At Audience In Istanbul

While performing ‘Human Nature,’ Madonna pulled her bra down and exposed her right nipple. By Gil Kaufman Madonna Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic When paparazzi photographers catch a glimpse of a starlet accidentally showing more skin than she intended it’s called a “nip slip.” But what do you call it when you purposely pull down your bra to give thousands of fans a peek at your lady bits? Madonna found out on Thursday night when the 53-year-old singer gave fans in Istanbul an eyeful during a performance of “Human Nature.” According to a video of the incident posted on YouTube , the singer removed her white dress shirt, then a lacy piece of lingerie before first pulling down the strap of her bra, then thinking better of it and just doing the full monty and pulling her right breast out to the cheers of the audience. She shot her fans a naughty girl “oops” look before threatening to drop trou as well and then turning around to show a huge temporary tattoo on her back reading “No Fear.” It was the latest attempt at outrage on the veteran pop star’s MDNA tour. She kicked it off in Tel Aviv, Israel by taking a shot at Lady Gaga
by playing a mash-up of her “Express Yourself” with Gaga’s similar-sounding “Born This Way” and then ending the song by chanting, “She’s not me.” Gaga appeared to respond
to the dis during her show in New Zealand on Thursday. She also angered the French National Front leader Marine Le Pen during the same show
by flashing a photo of Le Pen with a swastika on her forehead, which prompted a threat of legal action from the French politician. Related Artists Madonna

Lady Gaga Suffers Concussion During Concert, Responds To Madonna?

Singer smacked in the head with a pole during New Zealand show and appeared to reply to Madonna’s dis during a different show. By Gil Kaufman Lady Gaga arrives in Auckland, New Zealand Photo: Getty Images Maybe Lady Gaga’s fans should call her Mother Terminator instead of Mother Monster. The unstoppable pop machine proved her mettle on Sunday night during the third of three shows in New Zealand when she was struck in the head with a pole and just kept on rocking. Videos of the incident posted online show a male backup dancer accidentally hitting Gaga in the head with a metal set piece while trying to take move it off the stage. Gaga, who bent down to pick up a prop machine gun during the performance of “Judas,” staggered a bit and rubbed her head before briefly walking off the stage. But, a short time later, she was right back at it, performing 16 more songs before calling it a night. Later in the gig, she told the audience, “I want to apologize. I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion. But don’t you worry, I will finish this show.” The singer’s make-up artist, Tara Savelo, tweeted about the incident on Sunday, writing, “Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay. She wants u to know she loves u. I’m taking care of her. Can’t believe she finished the show.” Maybe at the next big awards show she can trade notes with Justin Bieber , who recently suffered a concussion
when he walked into a glass wall backstage during an appearance in Paris. There was other news out of her New Zealand swing as well. After Madonna called Gaga out
during her tour kick-off in Tel Aviv recently by playing a mash-up of her “Express Yourself” with Gaga’s similar-sounding “Born This Way” and then ending the song by chanting, “She’s not me,” Gaga appeared to respond to the dis. While playing her follicular pride tune “Hair” during a NZ show on Thursday, Gaga sat down at her motorcycle-shaped keyboard and appeared to respond to the incident. “It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down or make fun of them or maybe make mockery of their work,” she said in a video of the speech posted on YouTube in which she speaks in general terms about knocking down others to make yourself feel better. (Speech starts at 2:30 mark.) “And that doesn’t make me feel good at all. That just makes me feel like I’m not being a good human being … I don’t even want to fight back because it’s more important to me to keep writing music. Because that’s really all I care about, is the music … things are really different than they were 25 years ago, and that’s what makes ‘Born this Way’ so relevant for me. We’re socially in a different place and it’s OK, we don’t have to all slice and hate each other anymore.” Related Artists Lady Gaga Madonna

Madonna Filming ‘Turn Up The Radio’ Video In Rome?

Madge is rumored to be filming the clip this weekend, ahead of her MDNA Tour date there next week. By Jocelyn Vena Madonna Photo: Getty Images Madonna went cheerleader chic in her “Give Me All Your Luvin’ ” video. Then she recalled her “Erotica” days for the “Girl Gone Wild” video. Now, it seems she might be living La Dolce Vita in her “Turn Up the Radio” clip. Rumor has it that the singer will film the video on Sunday in Rome, under the direction of her “Give It 2 Me” music video director, Tom Munro. Oh No They Didn’t further reports that the shoot may take place at the Rome Forum. “Turn Up the Radio” was announced as her next MDNA single back in April. A rep for the singer had not responded to MTV News’ request for comment by press time. Currently she’s in between shows on her MDNA Tour , having just performed in Istanbul on Thursday and gearing up to play in Rome at the Olympic Stadium on June 12. The tour kicked off on May 31 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and will continue to travel all around Europe before heading Stateside in August for several months. Then she’ll take the tour to South America in November for a handful of dates. The trek ends in December. Although no details have been confirmed about the video, “Turn Up the Radio” producer Martin Solveig told us recently there are “no limits” to what the pair can do. “We were working with no limits. I think the only thing that she said when we started was, ‘I just want people to be able to dance to my music and connect easily with my music,’ and also probably to take some risks at some point,” Solveig said. “Other than this, it was open to any kind of experimentation.” Related Artists Madonna Martin Solveig

Lady Gaga’s New Album Will Be ‘Insane’

‘Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her,’ Gaga’s co-manager says of the follow-up to Born This Way. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images If there’s one positive that Lady Gaga fans can take from her decision to cancel a June 3 concert in Indonesia , perhaps it’s this: at least she’ll have more time to work on her album. Yes, though she’s currently in the midst of a two-year world tour, Gaga is already hard at work on the follow-up to 2011’s Born This Way and, according to her co-manager, she’s going to push the boundaries even further this time around (which is sure to please those Indonesian Islamic groups ). “There’s a lot of work to come, [I’m] very excited about it,” Vincent Herbert revealed in a new interview with website That Grape Juice. “[It’s] just [an] insane, great record. She’s on tour right now, but it’s just going to be a great record. Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her. We’re doing it on the road right now, so it’s a little hard, but it’s going to be great.” Herbert wouldn’t reveal specifics — tentative release date, title, who she’s been working with, etc. — about the new album, but the news that she’s recording on the road is actually in keeping with the way she began work on Born This Way, when standout tracks like “Marry The Night” took shape with producer Fernando Garibay during her long-running Monster Ball Tour. “I just kind of got on the American leg of the tour … and she goes, ‘I want to write another song that can define where I’m at with this album and my life,’ ” Garibay told MTV News last year. “I go back to the studio bus; I’m just working on parts … and then, two hours later, she comes offstage and she goes, ‘Do you have something to play me?’ And I go, ‘I do, actually.’ “So I played her the instrumental for ‘Marry the Night,’ and she goes, ‘Open up a mic,’ ” Garibay continued. “She starts laying down the whole song, like, off the cuff … right off the stage, using the energy of that crowd and going into the studio, it was amazing. I can’t compare it to anything.” What do you hope the Born This Way follow-up will sound like? Tell us in the comments section! Related Artists Lady Gaga

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday Tour Is ‘Intimate But Big’

‘It’s kind of like a glimpse back to what a real rap show is,’ creative director Laurieann Gibson tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Vanessa White Wolf Nicki Minaj Photo: Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images Nicki Minaj is currently taking her Pink Friday Tour around the world before circling back Stateside in July . Given Nicki’s love for all things over-the-top, it’s no surprise that her first-ever headlining gig is all about going big or going home. The rapper’s right-hand lady, creative director and choreographer Laurieann Gibson , told MTV News that when they sat down to plot the trek, “There was a challenge to get through a 70-minute show” after Nicki had spent her last few tours opening for the likes of Lil Wayne and Britney Spears, but what they cooked up is something Gibson said she is “really, really proud of.” “I just put Nicki Minaj on the road, actually, and her tour is super special to me and doing really well,” Gibson told MTV News about working with the rapper again after their eye-popping Grammy performance back in February. “Nicki Minaj was so much fun for me, and it was like a real breath of fresh air, and musically, to get back to the rap game, to see a female MC dominate the pop charts, this, historically, for me, I feel a bit of responsibility,” she added. “When I did ‘The Rain,’ that video for Missy [Elliott], and just with Puff and the evolution of Bad Boy Records and my responsibility there and the pressure to maintain dominant rappers [on major award shows] and not let them lose street credibility, the years of all that torture … and all of those moments. When I got back to Nicki, I was so happy to be in that soulful music again, in that fight, in the idea that rap is not dead and that somebody like her can be many things in many genres and not be limited. “I love [when] I heard Roman Reloaded. I loved her delivery. I love the way she flows,” she added. “So the Pink Friday Tour is really good and it’s kind of like a glimpse back to what a real rap show is. It’s intimate but big at the same time.” Will you check out Nicki on tour? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Nicki Minaj

Phillip Phillips Has ‘American Idol’ In The Bag, Experts Say

‘The show exists to find the next cute white guy with a guitar,’ says Richard Rushfield, author of ‘American Idol: The Untold Story.’ By Gil Kaufman Phillip Phillips performs on the “American Idol” finale on May 22 Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images Even if she hadn’t been saddled with what is possibly the worst “American Idol” finalist song in the show’s history, the chances of Jessica Sanchez beating Phillip Phillips seemed slim. The guitar-strumming, foot-swiveling, five-o’clock-shadow-having Dave Matthews doppelg

Phillip Phillips Still ‘Numb’ From ‘American Idol’ Win

‘ I don’t really feel anything … It’s just so unreal,” 21-year-old Phillips says after the season 11 finale on Wednesday. By Kelly Marino Phillip Phillips wins “American Idol” Photo: Fox/ Getty Images After a “world record” of 132 million votes, America has crowned guitar-strumming sweetheart Phillip Phillips as season 11’s “American Idol.” And although most viewers and critics expected him to win it all, Phillips himself seemed shocked that America chose him. When MTV News caught up with the 21-year-old Georgia native at a backstage press conference after the finale, he still seemed to be coming to terms with his recent win over 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez. Q: How do you feel? A: Uh, I’m feeling. I don’t know. I don’t really feel anything. It’s crazy. I’m still a little numb from the whole situation. It’s just so unreal. Q: Did you think you were going to win? A: Did I think I was going to win? No. Heck no. Did you see Jessica’s last performance? Golly. She sang the crap out of that song. Q: Is this surreal? Is this like a dream come true? A: Man, it’s so unreal. Like I said, it hasn’t sunk in yet and it’s just such a blessing to have and I’m kind of ready to try to comprehend it all. Q: Can you talk about your health? Will you get any surgery? A: Yeah, I’m gonna get some surgery done so I’m gonna get all better for the tour. Q: How were you able to overcome the pain you must have been in to get through this season and get all the way to the end? A: Yeah, it was very tough but I had great doctors and great people surrounding me so that really helped out. So, it’s just a blessing to be here now. Q: Can you talk about what happened onstage when you were performing “Home” tonight? A: Yeah, I wasn’t thinking about anything, not even the song. I wasn’t really wanting to sing or anything. And I just started thinking about the whole journey, how far all of us had come and how far we had made it and it was just so overwhelming. Q: When you auditioned did you think you would be standing where you are right now? A: Honestly man, I didn’t think I’d even make it to see the judges because, like I said, man, I have no shame in saying that I’m not a great singer. You know, I just love having fun up onstage jamming with the guys and just playing good music man. You know, I like getting the crowd into it. Music’s fun dude. It’s takes away a lot of things that’s going around. Q: Are you all cried out or do you think you might cry a little more? A: I might end up crying some more. I hate crying but I’ll probably cry some more. It feels good at times. Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions.
