In the tradition of all singing competitions, The X Factor aired a few catastrophes this week, from those who cannot carry a tune to those who drop their pants in the middle of the stage. Wait… what?!? Yes, Geo Godley bared almost all on Wednesday night, making Nicole Scherzinger scream and accomplishing something even more impressive: making Simon Cowell speechless. Geo Godley Drops His Pants The Parents Television Council does not find Godley’s antics funny, however, and has called out Fox for airing such filth. “If Godley performed his act in public, he would have been arrested,” writes Tim Winter. “But if he performs it in front of a Fox camera, his act is beamed via the public airwaves into every home in the nation… “Families were led to believe the ‘X Factor’ would be family-friendly programming and instead were assaulted by graphic nudity.” That’s actually not true, Godley says, responding that he was donning a g-string and they “are legal.” In less silly news, how about a couple of the acts we witnessed this week?!? Palm Sunday is a Christian moveable feast that always falls on the Sunday before Easter Sunday. The feast commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, an event mentioned by all four (Mark 11:1-11, Matthew 21:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19). A palm branch, usually refers to the leaves of the plant. The palm branch was a symbol of triumph and victory in pre-Christian times. The Romans rewarded champions of the games and celebrated military successes with palm branches. In many Christian churches, Palm Sunday is marked by the distribution of palm leaves (often tied into crosses) to the assembled worshipers. The difficulty of procuring palms for that day’s ceremonies in unfavorable climates for palms led to the substitution of boughs of box, yew, willow or other native trees. The Sunday was often designated by the names of these trees, as Yew Sunday or by the general term Branch Sunday. On Palm Sunday, in the Roman Catholic Church, as well as many Anglican and Lutheran churches, palm fronds (or in colder climates some kind of substitutes) are blessed outside the church building (or in cold climates in the narthex when Easter falls early in the year). A procession also takes place. It may include the normal liturgical procession of clergy and acolytes, the parish choir, the children of the parish or indeed the entire congregation as in the churches of the East. In many Protestant churches, children are given palms, and then walk in procession around the inside of the church while the adults remain seated. Kirstie Alley does not hold back. The 60-year-old Dancing With the Stars maverick took another sexy turn yesterday – this time on Oprah, where she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy appeared. Kirstie and her DWTS partner appeared on the talk show as part of O’s big Bloopers, Blunders and Funniest Moments episode. They delivered a classic: Kirstine Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Oprah They wowed the crowd – including Cee Lo Green – with some slick moves and obvious chemistry. Then Kirstie tore off Maks’ shirt to thunderous applause. Kirstie fell during the rumba two weeks ago, then lost a shoe this week, But she says mishaps and all, she’s found doing the punishing show cathartic. “It’s sort of given me my confidence back,” she said. “It’s amazing.” Hopefully she keeps rocking on DWTS for many weeks to come.

Paul McDonald will be okay. Yes, the funky singer got eliminated from American Idol this week. But the aspiring artist has confirmed that he has a famous, beautiful woman to go home to each night. Yes, he really is dating Nikki Reed . “[She’s] supercool,” McDonald told Us Weekly of the Twilight star. “She’s been real supportive of this whole thing. She’s actually pumped up now because she likes my original material way better than all the stuff I do on the show.” Paul says he and Nikki are “officially dating,” but “don’t get to see each other too much because [we’re] both working so hard.” Is there another Idol / Twilight love connection? Is Lauren Alaina getting it on with Taylor Lautner, as some sources have reported? McDonald has no clue. “I don’t know. I think he’s just a fan of Idol in general. He seems like a really cool dude. I don’t know too much about that.”

Contrary to what the following magazine cover states, Kim Kardashian is not marrying Kris Humphries this year. But the reality star is doing what she does best in an interview with Life & Style : talking about her personal life in hypothetical, vague terms in order to make headlines for no valid reason whatsoever. The latest case in point: her eventual wedding to… somebody. “I’ve envisioned the whole thing,” Kim says. “I already know what my gown is going to look like. I’ve thought about it all for so long… What woman hasn’t thought about her wedding since she was a little girl?” Very few. But not many would land a tabloid cover story just for fantasizing about such an event. A friend tells the publication that Kardashian wants to talk down the aisle in “a white strapless floor-length gown” designed by Chanel. She also wants a “big diamond ring.” Shocking, we know. Meanwhile, aside from nuptials, Kim is dreaming of a family. She says: “I think I’ll name my kids with K’s to keep the tradition going… I want.. three to five kids!” God help each and every one of them.
