Lindsay Lohan is racing back to the Big Apple “immediately” to complete her court ordered hours and avoid another trip to jail, according to reports. Think she’ll be successful? That punishment stemmed from her 2013 reckless driving conviction, and she only has until May 28 to finish the rest, an L.A. County judge ordered. “If she doesn’t complete it, then we will be asking for custody,” Melanie Skehar, a prosecutor with the Santa Monica City Attorney, said Thursday. As in police custody. Imagine that … someone in the Los Angeles actually wants Lindsay Lohan to be seen around them! Miracles do happen! “We’ll ask that she serve the remainder in jail,” Skehar added. “She’s had every chance. I honestly don’t see how she will get these hours done.” Neither do we. Lohan, 28, has been logging her time at the London-based charity Community Service Volunteers, but the agency recently moved its location. Naturally, lawyer Shawn Holley used this an excuse, whining that Lohan would have to pay $76 an hour on a driver to get there … while not working. “So this has proved to be difficult for her,” the lawyer explained in her bid to pull a rabbit out of her legal hat for LiLo for about the 1,235th time. Lohan also has been stymied by a rule that says she can’t serve more than four hours at a time at CSV, Holley said, as if her client ever would. Holley asked that the train wreck be allowed to serve longer shifts at a Brooklyn charity previously approved by the Santa Monica City Attorney. The judge agreed to the longer shifts if they’re served in Brooklyn but said the deadline for a “final status report” would remain set for May 28. “She’s had three years to take care of this. If it’s not done by May 28, there will be consequences,” Judge Mark A. Young told Holley in court . In other words … 115 hours and 15 minutes to go, and under three weeks to get ‘er done. Florida mom Heather Hironimus is currently a fugitive from justice after she refused to submit to a judge’s order that her four-year-old son be circumcised. Last week, a Palm Beach County judge reportedly ordered Hironimus to hand over the boy for the increasingly controversial procedure. She declined. A warrant has been issued for her arrest, and her whereabouts are unknown. The woman’s attorneys say she and her son have checked into a domestic violence crisis shelter because the youngster is “terrified” of the circumcision. “The child is scared to death of the procedure and doesn’t want it,” attorney Thomas Hunker said, according to South Florida’s Sun-Sentinel newspaper. Hunker said “there have been no safeguards put in place to protect the child’s psychological and emotional condition with regards to this surgery.” The obvious question on everybody’s mind: How did it reach the point where the minor, whose name is Chase, was thrust into the national spotlight? Hironimus and the boy’s father, Dennis Nebus, squared off in court over the issue last month, according to media reports, and the judge took his side. While Hironimus and Nebus once agreed to have Chase circumcised, Heather changed her mind and has been battling his estranged father over it. Supporters of Heather’s contend that circumcision is a barbaric practice that Chase shouldn’t have to endure (or at least that he should get to decide). One group founded on behalf of her plight, called Chase’s Guardians, helped raise more than $35,000 online to pay for Hironimus’ attorneys’ fees. “We feel like this is our son,” Amber Baxley, founder of Chase’s Guardians, said. “We’re fighting tooth-and-nail against this abhorrent, disgusting decision.” Circumcision has become a polarizing and hotly-debated issue in recent years, and this is not the first case involving it to make national headlines. Most of the children involved were anonymous, however. Hironimus and her backers have (they claim out of necessity) made Chase a cause celebre. The mom’s lawyers have requested that a mental evaluation be done on Chase to see if he’s mentally and emotionally capable of enduring a circumcision. Just how common is the medical practice? It depends who you ask, but it’s clearly favored more by select people and in select places than others. Only about a third of all men across the world are circumcised, according to World Health Organization research, most often for non-medical reasons. Whether you agree with having it done or not, it seems pretty crazy that the boy and his mother could be ordered to do so by a judge, doesn’t it? Florida Woman Hit By Train While Texting You all have GOT to stop playing with your phones near moving trains ! A Florida woman walked right into the path of an oncoming freight train while texting on her phone. Surprisingly…the woman lived to tell the tale and only suffered fractures to her arm and injuries to her leg. A 27-year-old woman had a miraculous escape after walking into a moving freight train while texting on her mobile phone. Sheena Keynna was hit by the train on Monday afternoon as she walked around the crossing gates and into the path of the passing freight train in Lakeland in central Florida. Police Sgt. Gary Gross told the Ledger of Lakeland the woman ‘wasn’t paying attention.’ She suffered a compound fracture to her right arm, and her right leg was injured. She was taken to a hospital, but no additional information was available. The train had two locomotives and was carrying consumer goods from Winter Haven to Jacksonville. Two Amtrak trains were delayed during the investigation. Let this be a lesson everyone — look up from those smartphones sometimes!
When you think about it, Lindsay Lohan and Kris Jenner have a lot in common.
