Via RadarOnline reports: Just days before Hank Baskett and Kendra Wilkinson were set to celebrate their five-year anniversary on June 27, the couple’s marriage was rocked by RadarOnline.com’s exclusive report of claims he had hooked up with a transsexual. Now, only Radar can reveal an exclusive interview with the transsexual mistress, Ava Sabrina London, who has come forward to tell her side of the story in light of the explosive reports about their shocking tryst. According to London, the affair started just two months ago, when Baskett first made contact. “I met Hank Baskett probably around the 22nd or 23rd of April this year,” London told The National ENQUIRER, which provided Radar exclusive access to its tell-all interview. “He contacted me through a video I had posted on YouTube and we exchanged information.” “I gave him the address to my house, he came over,” she added. “I wasn’t expecting for him to come at the time he did, and I had just gotten out of the pool with my girlfriend.” Dressed only in a bikini, London says she answered the door to find the Kendra On Top star dressed in basketball shorts, sandals and sunglasses. But at first, London claimed, she had no idea that the man standing before her was a celebrity, and the former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver took precautions to hide his true identity. “Hank never identified himself by his real name. But he used, I believe it was Steve as his name,” she said. Baskett certainly would have had his reasons for attempting anonymity. Not only has the father of two been married to the former Girl Next Door star Wilkinson since 2009, but unlike his wife, the woman he allegedly contacted was actually born a man. “Hank absolutely knew that I was a transsexual and he told me that I was the only transsexual he’s ever been with,” London claimed. “He thought I was beautiful.” In fact, it wasn’t long after their introduction, she said, that the couple became intimate behind closed doors. And although Baskett allegedly seemed nervous, London said the 31-year-old was the first to take his clothes off. “We quickly went to my bedroom where things got a little hot because he had already had taken off his clothes and he was erected,” she said of their first alleged encounter. “I started giving him a hand job and he was playing with my pe**s ‘cause he was laying down and I was like, you know, above him, so that’s when I realized who he was.” Although she claimed the two did not have sexual intercourse, she said Baskett still was satisfied. “He put my pe**s close to his face and that’s when he, you know, he came really quickly,” she alleged. “Hank and I gave each other hand jobs and he played with my breasts. And it didn’t really go that much further because he had already come.” And, even more surprising, after the act Baskett casually took a shower in London’s bathroom to clean up, London claimed. But their intimate meet-up wasn’t for free, according to London. The model alleges that Baskett enjoyed their fling so much, he gifted her about $500 for the 20-minute romp. “I got up and he took a shower,” London said. “And he met my girlfriend after that, shook her hand and he left.” Okay so technically he didn’t “sleep” with another woman, but still. This is sad. Transgender Woman Killed In Hate Crime According to Mail Online A transgender woman in New York has died after being beaten by a group of men who attacked her and yelled gay slurs. The victim, 21-year-old Islan Nettles, died Thursday in a Harlem hospital when she was taken off life support five days following the attack. The attacker, a 20-year-old man named Paris Wilson, was arrested for assault but now that the victim has died he may face murder charges. The attack on Nettles was the latest in a spate of bias incidents this year in New York and a total of 68 have been reported so far this year, showing a significant increase from the 54 that were reported in all of last year. Nettles and a friend, another transgender woman, were out Saturday evening in Harlem when they ran into a group of men and one pounced, punching Nettles in the face, police said. The New York Post reports that the attack took place after Wilson began flirting with Nettles, before he realized she was transgendered. Once that became clear, his friends started teasing him and he proceeded to attack her. After the attack, Nettles was hospitalized, slipped into a coma and later died. The witness eventually told detectives about the anti-gay remarks- after initially leaving them out of the criminal report- and the hate crimes task force took over the investigation. Detectives are looking whether the suspect had propositioned Nettles. Upgraded charges are possible following the medical examiner’s ruling, police said. Nettle’s sister, Elana, said in an interview Friday that she and her mother were coping well so far but did not comment further. The bias attacks this year range from yelled slurs to the May killing of a 32-year-old gay man in Greenwich Village. Police stepped up patrols this summer in response. In May, police said Mark Carson, 32, was first taunted with homophobic slurs, then shot in the head in Greenwich Village, not far from the site of 1969 riots that helped give rise to the gay rights movement. A suspect was arrested on a charge of murder as a hate crime. The killing, and other bias attacks, sparked a summer protest attended by thousands. Some of the other bias incidents this summer included an assault last week where two men were attacked in Chelsea. Christine Quinn, the city’s first openly gay City Council speaker and a mayoral candidate, denounced the most recent attack. ‘An attack against one person, or one community, is an assault against all New Yorkers,’ she said in a joint statement with other council members. ‘We ask all New Yorkers to come together, to embrace our differences and to denounce hate violence.’ So he attacked her because he was embarrassed? ‘Truth’ will look at struggles of transgender people around the world. By Gil Kaufman Janet Jackson Photo: MTV News Janet Jackson has spent her career bouncing from TV to music and movies, but now the R&B legend is moving into the producing game. According to the The Advocate , Jackson has agreed to executive-produce a documentary called “Truth” about the lives of transgender people around the world. Not only is Jackson, 46, working behind-the-scenes on the movie, but she is expected to sit for some on-camera interviews as well. The movie will start filming this summer. In a statement announcing the film, Jackson said she agreed to sign on to help stop discrimination against the transgender community. “All people are very important to me. I’ve been fortunate to make friends and learn about very different lives,” Jackson said in a statement. ” ‘Truth’ is our small chance to ask that you try and understand someone who lives their life in a way that is a little bit different from yours, even though all of our hearts are the same. We want to stop the hate and find understanding.” Director Robert Jason, who previously directed the Style Network documentary “Style Exposed: Born Male, Living Female,” about four transgender New Yorkers, promised that Jackson will play a prominent part in the finished product. “Janet Jackson will take us on a visually innovative, cerebral journey through the turbulent lives of transgendered people of all ages around the world and their epic struggle for equality,” he said in a statement announcing the project. “This film will highlight landmark mainstream stories and provide a glimpse at others that will change the gender landscape of the world forever. Just as it is hard to believe that there ever was a time when different components of society were required to use separate drinking fountains, it is as incredible that one’s gender expression remains just such a target for discrimination.” Jackson’s involvement in the documentary comes on the heels of last month’s news that Against Me! singer Tom Gabel has come out as transgender and is now living as a woman, Laura Jane Grace. Photo: Getty Images In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Tom Gabel goes public with her life-long struggle with body dysphoria, her transgender status and her desire to live life as a woman . Gabel, who will be known as Laura Jane Grace, makes the admissions in a feature in the magazine, which hits newsstands on Friday and details the long road she took to get to this point; from her first childhood realizations that she was uncomfortable in her male body — she has early memories of watching Madonna on TV and fantasizing about being her, and says she played with Barbies — to her teenage years in Florida, where she kept her secret hidden and felt ashamed, telling writer Josh Eells that she would often pray to God, asking, “Dear God, when I wake up, I want a female body.” And when that didn’t work, she’d try pleading with the devil, saying, “I promise to spend the rest of my life as a serial killer if you turn me into a woman.” Gabel said that she took inspiration from a transgender Against Me! fan named January Hunt — the feature opens with the two meeting in New York City — to finally begin transitioning from male to female, and has begun the process by undergoing electrolysis treatments (she’ll also soon begin taking hormones). She says she plans on living life as Laura for a full year before thinking about having sexual-reassignment surgery, and that she’s given up drinking alcohol, because she wants to be totally present for the transition process. “I don’t want to feel like, ‘This is an uncomfortable situation, I’ll have a couple drinks,’ ” she said. “I want to meet it head-on.” At the time of the Rolling Stone interview, Gabel had yet to reveal her transgender status to her parents, who are divorced, and had only recently told her Against Me! bandmates about her decision to transition (“I felt like I drop-kicked them in the face,” she said. “We had the most awkward hug ever, and then they left. And the second I shut the door, I was like, ‘What the f— did I just do?’ “). But she says that she has every intention to carry on fronting the band, saying: “However fierce our band was in the past, imagine me, six-foot-two, in heels, f—ing screaming into someone’s face.” And though much of the Rolling Stone feature focuses on Gabel’s journey, Eells also spoke at length with Gabel’s wife, Heather, who admitted to being a bit thrown by her husband’s revelations, but ultimately decided that she wanted to stand by her side during the transition … and beyond. “I kept waiting to get mad. Like, ‘Tomorrow, I’ll be really upset,’ ” Heather told the magazine. “I’m like ‘Let’s just see what happens, and we’ll just roll with it.’ My friends have been like, ‘What about you?’ But I’m fine. The Missing star wrote in The Daily Beast: “The Conversation about women’s bodies exists largely outside of all of us, while it is also directed at (and marketed to) us, and used to define and control us.” “The Conversation about women happens everywhere. We are described and detailed, our faces and bodies analyzed and picked apart, our worth ascertained and ascribed based on the reduction of personhood to simple physical objectification .” Judd continues to explain that as a general rule, she has refused to read media articles related to herself, because, “I do not want to give my power, my self-esteem, or my autonomy, to any person, place, or thing outside myself.” “I thus abstain from all media about myself.” When it came to the controversy over her unusually puffy face while promoting her new series, however, the actress got wind of it – and felt that there were underlying issues critically important to her and impossible to overlook. Judd lamented the “pointedly nasty, gendered, and misogynistic” rumors that embodies what “all girls and women in our culture endure every day.” “We are unable at times to identify ourselves as our own denigrating abusers, or as abusing other girls and women. A case in point is that this conversation was initially promulgated largely by women; a sad and disturbing fact.” “If this conversation is going to be had, I will do my part to insist that it is a feminist one, because it has been misogynistic from the start. Who makes a fantastic leap from being sick, or gaining some weight over the winter, to a conclusion of plastic surgery?” “Our entire culture, that’s who. Transgender Miss Universe Canada contestant Jenna Talackova says in a new interview that even at four years old, she knew she was “in the wrong body.” Talackova, who was booted from Miss Universe Canada for not being a “naturally born female,” then allowed back in after all, sat down with ABC’s 20/20 . Accompanied by her mother and her lawyer, Gloria Allred, the beauty revealed to Barbara Walters that at birth, she was actually named “Walter.” Jenna Talackova Interview Talackova, 23, who was called “tranny” and “it” by bullies at school, started hormone therapy at 14. Later, she underwent gender reassignment surgery. That converted her male genitalia to female and made her the woman she is now. “It was terribly painful,” Talackova told Walters of the procedure, “but seeing something on your body for that long and not even being able to look at myself in the mirror because I couldn’t stand seeing the other part, it was very rewarding, too.” To complete her physical transformation, Jenna Talackova said, she also received breast implants and had her Adam’s apple removed in the following years. Her legal transformation became complete as she changed her Canadian driver’s license, passport and birth certificate to reflect her gender reassignment. She is now recognized as female by the Canadian government, and lives a full life as a heterosexual woman. She says she has a boyfriend, a man she says is near her age. He is “very supportive … just an amazing man.” And she’s taken the beauty pageant controversy and turned it into an opportunity to help pave the way for other transgendered men and women. “I feel like the universe, the creator just put me in this position as an advocate,” she told Walters. “And now it’s like this, and I’ll take that position. If it’s helping anybody else, by sharing my story and with my actions, then I feel great about it.” The Miss Universe Canada pageant takes place May 19.
