Janice Dickinson Steps Forward As One Of Bill Cosby’s Alleged Victims – “I Was Sexually Assaulted By This Man”

Wow… these allegations are piling all the way up . With two other alleged victims having come forward with their decades old stories of sexual assault at the hands of Bill Cosby, other women claiming to recall being victimized by the rich and powerful comedian are stepping forward. In a somewhat shocking twist, “America’s first supermodel” and tabloid fixture Janice Dickinson has come forward and claimed that she too was drugged and forced to have sex with Bill back in the early 80′s. Via ETonline : With rape allegations against Bill Cosby mounting, supermodel Janice Dickinson tells ET in a new interview that the comedian sexually assaulted her in 1982. Dickinson, now 59, recalls first meeting Cosby, now 77, when her agent set up a meeting with him to hire her for a role on The Cosby Show. After they had dinner, she says their next conversation was when he called her out of the blue while she was in rehab for drugs and alcohol. Following her stay in rehab, Dickinson says Cosby reached out to her during a trip to Bali and had her travel to Lake Tahoe, because he was performing there and wanted to offer her the job they had discussed as well as help her with a singing career. Dickinson says they had dinner in Lake Tahoe, and claims that he gave her a glass of red wine and a pill, which she asked for because she was menstruating and had stomach pains. And that’s when she tells ET that things took a disturbing turn. “The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man,” she tells ET. “… Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain. The next morning I remember waking up with my pajamas off and there was semen in between my legs.” Dickinson also says she tried to write about the assault in her 2002 autobiography No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World’s First Supermodel , but claims that when she submitted a draft with her full story to HarperCollins, Cosby and his lawyers pressured her and the publisher to remove the details. “I’m doing this because it’s the right thing to do, and it happened to me, and this is the true story,” she says about coming out with her story now. “I believe all the other women.” Dickinson says that keeping the alleged sexual assault a secret for 32 years drove her to a life of hurting herself. “Stuffing feelings of rape and my unresolved issued with this incident has drove me into a life of trying to hurt myself because I didn’t have counsel and I was afraid,” she says. “I was afraid of the consequences. I was afraid of being labeled a whore or a slut and trying to sleep my way to the top of a career that never took place.” But now Dickinson, who says she never confronted Cosby after the alleged incident, doesn’t mince words when it comes to what she would say to him now. “How dare you,” she says. “Go f*ck yourself. How dare you take advantage of me. And I hope you rot.” Damn… look what you started, Hannibal Buress . This is probably REALLY going to catch fire now that an actual “name” in the industry is coming forward. What, if anything, do you think will happen to Bill Cosby now?

Racist Or Nah? No Blacks Allowed… Only Afrikaners Welcome In South African Town Of Orania [Video]

Is this cultural preservation or a means for maintaining apartheid? Apartheid Is Over But Orania Is A South African Town Where Blacks Still Aren’t Welcome We had a tough time getting the Yahoo video to work, but we did find an older YouTube video which we posted above. Via Yahoo Travel: Twenty years after Apartheid ended in South Africa, there still exists a small town called Orania, home to about 1000 cultural Afrikaners, where black people are not welcome. This sounds really — shady. The video is way too short to make a full determination that something racist is going on but we don’t really understand why the Afrikaners can’t just create a cultural preservation club or something. Why do they have to completely shut other races out? Shutterstock

Shady Swipin’: Former Warner Brothers Music Exec Popped For Embezzling $1.3 Million From Record Label!

Industry rule #4080 is still in effect in 2014 Ex-Warner Bros. Exec Arrested For Embezzling $1.3 Million Via NYPost A former Warner Music executive — a top Hollywood fund-raiser for President Obama — embezzled more than $1 million from the record label, Manhattan prosecutors charged Tuesday. Danielle D. Smith, 45, flew from California and turned herself in at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She was arraigned on charges of first-degree grand larceny. Smith, who worked in the Los Angeles in the “urban” unit of Warner Music’s Atlantic Records division, allegedly used a corporate credit card to rack up $1.3 million in personal charges, prosecutors said. Smith’s duties at Warner Music, headquartered in Manhattan, included scouting and signing artists, as well as arranging their travel and lodging, sources said. But Smith also used her Warner Music credit card to fund a luxury lifestyle, sources said. She booked rooms in posh hotels and airfare for personal vacations and trips herself, and shelled out for “luxury goods” — resulting in whopping charges being billed to the company credit card between 2007 and 2011, according to law-enforcement sources. Smith resigned from Atlantic in late 2011, while she was under internal investigation for the credit card charges, sources said. Guess times have been tough for Danielle since she’s stopped stealing money from her former employer… Smith looked haggard in court, wearing black-rimmed glasses, a purple sweater and a gray wool coat. She pleaded not guilty before Justice Gregory Carro, who set bail at $1  million. Her lawyer, Scott Leemon, has represented rappers 50 Cent and Jim Jones. Smith’s mother flew with her from California and agreed to put up a retirement fund to spring her daughter on bail, working with bail bondsman to the stars Ira Judelson. “She denies the allegations and we look forward to exonerating her,” said Leemon. Smith is due back in court Wednesday morning. We have no idea how this lady can possibly be exonerated, sounds like she’s headed to join the cast of Orange Is The New Black… Image via Gabriella Bass

Robert Menendez Reimburses Donor For Trips to Maybe Have Sex With Prostitutes

Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) says he has reimbursed a prominent Florida political donor $58,500 for two controversial trips he took back in 2010. Menendez traveled on the donor’s plane to the Dominican Republic in 2010, and was accused of engaging in sex with prostitutes while in that country. He denied those claims, and there had been no public disclosure of the two trips until now, when he reimbursed Salomon Melgen for the travel costs. “The senator paid for the two trips out of his personal account and no reporting requirements apply,” Menendez spokeswoman Tricia Enright said Wednesday. The FBI searched the West Palm Beach, Fla., office Melgen, an eye doctor, this week; it was unclear if the raid was at all related to Robert Menendez. A third trip by Menendez aboard Melgen’s plane, a campaign fundraising journey to the donor’s residence in the Dominican Republic, took place in May 2010. That trip was reported to the Federal Election Commission. The trip, for fundraising from the community of Americans in the region, took Menendez to Puerto Rico as well as the Dominican Republic, said his office. Menendez categorized the other two trips as personal. The first was August 6-9, 2010, a round trip from South Florida to the Dominican Republic. The second was September 3-6, 2010, from New Jersey to the D.R. and back. Menendez could’ve invoked a “friendship exemption” regarding the personal trips, which would’ve required him to report the travel to the Senate Ethics Committee as a gift. Instead, Menendez chose to reimburse the full cost of the two trips. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) turned aside questions about Menendez Thursday, saying they should be directed to the New Jersey Democrat instead. On Tuesday, before the disclosures about the FBI raid and the trips, he had expressed skepticism about the allegations, telling reporters to consider the source. White House press secretary Jay Carney declined to answer when asked whether President Barack Obama still has full faith and confidence in Menendez. “I don’t have anything for you on that,” Carney told reporters Thursday. The Daily Caller, a conservative website, reported shortly before the November election that Menendez traveled on Melgen’s plane to have sex with prostitutes. Some New Jersey Republicans filed a complaint with the Senate Ethics Committee last fall in the wake of the shocking allegations by The Daily Caller. In response, Menendez’s staff members searched records for trips by the senator and found the two additional trips that hadn’t been reimbursed. On Tuesday, Menendez became chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, succeeding Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), who is now Secretary of State.

‘Zero Dark Thirty’ Opens To Wednesday Record As Torture Controversy Brews

Even as Zero Dark Thirty has come under fire by key Senators criticizing its depiction of torture in the hunt for Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, the film shrugged off the pressure, at least at the box office, in its initial limited roll out Wednesday. [ Related: Golden Globes Unveil 70th Edition Nominees ] The Sony release opted for a specialty-style roll-out Wednesday, opening in limited locations in New York and Los Angeles before it heads wide January 11, not so coincidentally, the day after Oscar nominations are unveiled. The pic, which re-teams Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal ( The Hurt Locker ), scored the biggest Wednesday limited opening ever (without a Disney-style stage show), according to Deadline.com . The film starring Jessica Chastain grossed a tremendous $124,848 in one day from just five theaters giving it a stellar mid-week $24,969 average. The numbers outstrip the likes of other Wednesday openers American Beauty which took in $73K with six theaters and Little Miss Sunshine with $66K from 7 runs. The film has been an early darling for critics with prestige organizations including the New York Film Critics Circle, the Chicago Film Critics Association and the National Board of Review giving the two-and-a-half-hour-plus feature its choice for Best Film of 2012. It also received four Golden Globe noms, including Best Motion Picture, Drama though others such as Lincoln , Django Unchained and Les Misérables scored more. Still, Zero Dark Thirty is expected to be a heavy-hitter come Oscar nomination morning. Some, however, have begun to speculate whether the percolating controversy over the film’s perceived suggestions that water-boarding, extreme isolation and other techniques were useful in ultimately locating Bin Laden and how that may affect Academy voters should the story hold staying power in the headlines. A report from A.P. yesterday said that former Vietnam War-era P.O.W. Senator John McCain slammed the film after viewing a screener earlier this week and BBC reports that McCain and two other Senate colleagues made their objections official in a letter to the head of Sony Pictures Entertainment. The letter said the pic is “perpetuating the myth that torture is effective” and that “the fundamental problem is that people who see Zero Dark Thirty will believe that the events it portrays are facts.” It goes on to say, “the film therefore has the potential to shape American public opinion in a disturbing and misleading manner,” and that the “use of torture in the fight against terrorism did severe damage to America’s values and standing that cannot be justified or expunged.” Also signing the letter, which was made public, were Senators Dianne Feinstein and Carl Levin, all of whom are members of the Senate Intelligence committee. Bigelow has said that her film depicts a “variety of controversial practices and intelligence methods.” She and Boal have also indicated their distaste for torture in statements last week. If The World Ends Tomorrow, Darren Aronofsky Plans To Be Where The Action Is

Whether the world ends tomorrow, a new, more enlightened era dawns or absolutely jack shit happens,  it appears that Darren Aronofsky will be immersed in the culture that set off all this wild speculation in the first place.  The filmmaker tweeted Thursday morning that he’s “going to maya country to pay respect to the great ancient astronomers who knew tomorrow would one day come.” going to maya country to pay respect to the great ancient astronomers who knew tomorrow would one day come. hail xibalba & flaming serpent.— darren aronofsky (@DarrenAronofsky) December 20, 2012 If you like to follow alarmist Internet writings, then you know that on Friday, Dec. 21, a 5,125-year cycle of the Mayan calendar will end, which some so-called enlightened types are saying will either result in a spectacular end to life as we know it or a promising new beginning. Hell, I’ll take that second option any day, but  as the New York Times , and other less gullible providers of  information have noted, the doomsday prophecies are a misinterpretation of the Maya Long Count calendar and Dec. 21 is simply the day when one cycle ends and a new one begins. Sure, Aronofsky is probably in an apocalyptic frame of mind these days because he’s shooting Noah with Russell Crowe , but clearly he’s being cheeky here.  Aronofsky is an adventurer at heart — he was at the Marrakech International Film Festival just a few days ago — so I don’t doubt that he’s going to Maya country. Thousands of people are amassing near Mayan ruins in  Merida, Mexico as I write this in hopes of witnessing something big (and smoking some amazing weed). But look at how he signs off: “hail xibalba & flaming serpent.” Xibalba is the name of the underworld in Mayan mythology where the Mayan death gods and their helpers have apparently been twiddling their thumbs and sending messages to Mel Gibson for a very long time.  As the  sage Franklin Harris also reminds me, Xibalba is featured in Aronofsky’s seriously cosmic  The Fountain . Xibalba is the nebula where Tom (Hugh Jackman) takes the tree bearing the essence of his beloved, dying wife Izzi (Rache Weisz). Aronofsky has said that the film “is about coming to terms with your own death.” I’m not sure about the flaming serpent part — maybe a Mayan culture expert can bring me up to speed in the comments section below — but that message reads to me like the smart-ass Mayan geek equivalent of “Live long and prosper.” I’ve asked Aronofsky’s publicist if he’d like to elaborate on his travel plans. I’ll update if I hear back. More on Darren Aronofsky’s Noah: Snakes On A Boat!
