MSNBC News Anchor David Shuster Suspended Indefinitely

huffingtonpost High profile news anchor David Shuster has been indefinitely suspended by MSNBC,an American cable news channel, for participating in a test of a new show for competing news channel CNN Suspension for Shuster took effect just days after the New York Observer reported that he was on a pilot show CNN taped recently. “David has been suspended indefinitely,” a network spokesman said Tuesday morning. “..Mr Shuster’s test was unacceptable..be punished appropriately…” Shuster’s contract with MSNBC is reportedly expires this year in December. CNN’s pilot episode featuree Shuster and National Public Radio’s Michael Martin. MSNBC and CNN are competing for airtime ratings having  Fox News well ahead of both, so doing a pilot episode for one while working for the other is a major problem. Shuster has been a correspondent and anchor for MSNBC since 2002, and has covered such major events as Hurricane Katrina and Presidential campaigns. He was also part of MSNBC’s daily anchor rotation. Before MSNBC, he worked at the Fox News Channel from 1996 to 2002 as a Washington, DC based correspondent. Shuster previously ran afoul of MSNBC management when, in 2008, he was suspended for two weeks after making a joke the network found “irresponsible and inappropriate.” He was allowed on air to apologize and then suspended. Duke Blue Devils win NCAA 2010 Championship Game

This just in. Duke won over Butler 61-59 on the 2010 NCAA Championship Game. The Blue Devils just collected their 4th NCAA Championship Title this year. Gordon Hayward of the Butler BUlldogs attempted to seal the game with a desperate 3-pointer, but the ball bounced off the rim at the buzzer. Matt Howard then collapsed at halfcourt, covering his face with his hands. Howard played despite being knocked loopy by a concussion in Saturday night’s semifinal win over Michigan State. Congratulations to the 2010 NCAA Champions. It was such an exciting game until the end of the season. cnet With Apple’s huge successs in its product launching of the most hyped gadget iPad has sold more than 300,000 tablets Saturday debut accross United States. Sales statistics includes pre-orders, a new type of touch-screen device that blends features of the iPhone, electronic book readers and tablet computers. Prices start at $499 for iPads that connect to the world wide web through wireless fidelity or much known as Wi-Fi. Apple will sell more expensive iPads with cellular data connections later this month. Apple says that iPad owners downloaded over a million applications from its app store and more than 250,000 electronic books on Saturday. Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs says the iPad is going to be a game changer. Its shares are down 17 cents to $235.80 in premarket trading.
