Bethenny Getting Married Review: Oh, the (Scripted) Stress!

Between a book signing, wedding preparations and a bachelor/bachelorette party, the script on Bethenny Getting Married called for Bethenny Frankel to act very stressed this week. How well did she pull it off? Let’s turn it over to our Real Housewives guru for the answer and the review of last night’s episode… Ugghhh… is it just me or is Bethenny starting to seem really whiny and bitchy?

Tilda Swinton’s Flash Mob

We can all agree that the recent Ghostbusters and Glee flash mobs were a little bit adorable, but is the fad played out? Not if Tilda Swinton has anything to say about it. She’s planning a flash dance on June 26 to The Avalon Boy’s “At the Ball” in order to promote her new 8 1/2 Foundation, explaining , “It’s a song from Laurel and Hardy’s funniest film Way Out West . In the film, Stan and Ollie do a wee dance, which is rubbish compared to Cyd Charisse or Gene Kelly, or any trained dancer, and yet it’s one of the most charming, amusing, gentle, child-like musical numbers in the whole of cinema history.” Book your trip to Edinburgh now! Abby Sunderland: Alive and Well!

Abby Sunderland is okay. The 16-year old sailor lost a satellite phone call with her parents yesterday morning, an hour before she set of a distress signal and was feared lost in the Indian Ocean. But a search plane launched from Australia made radio contact with Sunderland almost 24 hours later, as it was discovered her boat was continually knocked down by huge waves, causing its mast to break and a sail to drag in the water. Said search coordinator Mick Kinley, acting chief of the Australia Maritime Safety Authority: “The aircraft (crew) spoke to her. They told her help was on the way and she sounds like she’s in good health. She’s going to hang in there until a vessel can get to her.” Sunderland had been attempting to become the youngest person to navigate the globe solo, though some critics believe she departed for her trip during a dangerous time of the year. Abby told the rescue crew, via radio, that she was doing fine, using a space heater to keep warm, and possessed at least two weeks’ worth of food. The French regional administration on the island of Reunion said it had sent a trio boats in her direction and should be able to reach her some time tomorrow. Thank goodness.

Eminem’s U.K. Freestyle ‘Took Us Back,’ Royce Da 5’9" Says

‘It was like we was kids again,’ he says of getting three verses apiece along with Denaun Porter on Tim Westwood’s radio show. By Shaheem Reid Eminem Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Royce Da 5’9″ is back in the D. He’s taking a little time — and we do mean a little time — to rest up after his trip overseas with Eminem , Alchemist and D12 member Denaun Porter. “It was great, man,” Royce, on the phone from his house in Detroit, said of the trip, which was a press run in support of Em’s Recovery. “I was going around them and soaking up game. I think it’s phenomenal how [Eminem manager] Paul [Rosenberg] can be around us joking one minute, and then the next second, he’s on the phone handling business and dealing with point people. It’s so tight. I peep the way they do things, the way Em knocks sh– out without complaining. It teaches me a lot. It’s like being a fly on the wall. You about to be a part of something special. I truly feel that Em is about to go on a crazy run. The album is phenomenal. I see a pattern, and I’m glad to be a part of it. We had a great time over there. All work.” Royce, who started a friendship with Em back in the mid ’90s, is soon to be an official member of the Shady roster. The long-talked-about Slaughterhouse/ Shady Records deal is in the fourth quarter, Royce said. One of the highlights of the trips overseas was a stop off at Tim Westwood’s radio show, where Royce, Em and Porter kicked three verses apiece . “You know what’s crazy? Denaun was like, ‘We should just do two verses. The three verses is going to be too long,’ ” Royce said. “Em was the one pushing for three verses. He was like, ‘Let’s do three verses.’ I’m like, ‘Damn, he must really wanna get these off.’ When I heard them, I knew why he wanted to spit them. When we did it, it was fun. It took us back. When we got on the jet going back, we was talking the whole way about that sh–. That sh– reminded me of back in the day when we used to go in. Me and Em got an 11-minute freestyle on Stretch Armstrong’s show 10 years ago. It took us back to that. It was like we was kids again. It was fun.” Royce just released his new mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid, Bar Exam 3: The Most Interesting Man in the World. What do you think of Em’s new material? Let us know in the comments! Gabe Saporta, Evan Lysacek, Kim Caldwell Dish In ‘When I Was 17’

Lysacek’s secret identity, Caldwell’s bloody prom and Saporta’s badass past get revealed on the show, airing Saturdays at 11 a.m. By MTV News staff Gabe Saporta Photo: MTV News We all have huge memories — both wonderful and horrible &#8212 of being 17. MTV’s “When I Was 17” features celebrities sharing moments that all of us can identify with (well, most of them anyway), and this week, Olympic medalist and “Dancing With the Stars” luminary Evan Lysacek , “American Idol” contestant Kimberly Caldwell and Cobra Starship’s Gabe Saporta delivered in fine fashion. Although Lysacek is a household name, back in the day, his friends didn’t even realize he was training for Olympic glory. “For a long time, a lot of my friends didn’t even know I was a skater, and the ones that did know didn’t really understand the magnitude of it — that I was traveling all around the world to compete,” he says on the show. Then there was one fateful day when his school principal decided to expose his secret to the entire student body. “My junior year was the first time that I competed in a competition that was televised,” Evan recalls. “My principal broadcast my skating competition for the whole school. I didn’t know ahead of time, so I kind of was surprised.” Kimberly Caldwell has turned heads on “American Idol” and the TV Guide Channel, and things were pretty much the same when she was 17 … only, back then, she was turning heads for an entirely different reason: She was the girl positively covered in blood. “When I was 17, I got asked out by one of the really hot senior boys to prom and I was, like, so excited,” Caldwell recalls. “And so I’m with all these seniors, and we go to this really beautiful restaurant, and we’re walking, and I had gotten this really, really pretty dress, and all my friends, like, came over and helped me get ready and everything. “I was so excited, and of course I had put on my ‘I’m so cool, this is not too exciting’ face. So we went to this restaurant, and before we even ate dinner, I tripped and I fell,” she continued. “My dress got split all the way up to my belly button, and my knee got a gash and it started gushing blood. It was a really, really sexy moment for me.” This might not exactly come as a surprise, but when he was 17, Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta was a bit of a hell-raiser. Seems that the manic mastermind behind hits like “Good Girls Gone Bad” was never far away from trouble as a teen, much to the chagrin of pretty much every authority figure around him — particularly on one fateful class trip. “We went on a class trip to Washington, D.C., to learn about the history of our government … and everyone had a hotel room, two people per room, two boys, two girls in each room,” Saporta smiled. “But really, class trips are just make-out sessions, so I went and snuck into one of these girls’ rooms … only this girl that I was making out with, her roommate who she was paired up with came back and freaked out and, like, had a panic attack.” The spooked roommate grabbed a chaperone, and before he knew it, Saporta was busted. But he still thinks the stunt was worth it. “I got in trouble the next day, and I got sent home from the Washington trip,” he said. “I got kicked off the trip, I got to make out with a girl, and everyone’s like, ‘Wow, you were making out with a girl and you got kicked off the trip! That rules!’ ” Don’t miss “When I Was 17,” airing Saturdays at 11 a.m. ET on MTV! Diddy Lends Energy to Uninspired Comedy ‘Greek’

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Having swiped the spotlight from top-billed castmates on more than one occasion, Jonah Hill and Russell Brand are rewarded with lead status in “Get Him to the Greek,” only to see the show stolen by others, notably the artist formerly known as P. Diddy. A reunion with Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller that pays far fewer comic dividends, the stop-start R-rated excursion never achieves the propulsive traction and outrageous/endearing balance that made The Hangover such a smash this time last year. Lacking a sturdier venue, the fat boy and the bad boy are at best opening acts in a moviegoing season powered by headliners. As such, the Universal release, which opens Friday (June 4), will not likely prove to be a sizable draw, though the scarcity of bawdy, male-skewing comedies in the marketplace could work in its favor. Reprising his foppish British rocker character from the Jason Segel -penned Sarah Marshall , Brand plays Aldous Snow, who has since been in a career free fall. Reeling from a disastrous concept single/video (the reviled “African Child”) and a split from girlfriend Jackie Q (a terrific Rose Byrne), Aldous has taken a potentially irreparable plunge off the wagon. Enter Hill’s Aaron Green, an ambitious record company executive in the employ of the certifiably nutty Sergio Roma (Sean Combs), who thinks that the upcoming 10th anniversary of Snow’s triumphant concert at Los Angeles’ famed Greek Theater could make for a lucrative comeback gig. Liking what he hears, Sergio gives Aaron three days to fetch Snow from London and personally escort him to the Greek, with the caveat that he will be dealing with “the worst person on Earth.” Needless to say, there will be a lot of rerouting on the trip back, but despite the occasional onscreen appearance of a digital countdown clock, writer-director Stoller never seems to be in any hurry to move the characters and plot along. Although Brand, who makes for credible damaged rock ‘n’ roll goods with a singing voice to match, and a subdued Hill manage to lay down a few scattered, genuinely funny riffs, the larger laughs are provided by the supporting players. Combs doesn’t so much deliver his lines as announce them, and every time he pops up, he lends the listless proceedings a gonzo boost; and Byrne’s bubbly Brit pop star hits the inspired mark. Detours to New York and Las Vegas provide for a slew of cameos, including Lars Ulrich, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Rick Schroder and, in a show of NBC Universal corporate solidarity, “Today’s” Meredith Vieira and a green-room guest, noted economist Paul Krugman. But even with the personality parade, “Greek” never really finds its comic bearings.

Howard Stern Hitched Via Beth Ostrosky / Video / All Star Wedding

It's happened—someone has finally made an honest man of Howard Stern. After a lengthy engagement, the Sirius Satellite shock jock has taken the marital plunge with longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky, tying the knot in an A-list private event at New York City's famed Le Cirque restaurant Friday night. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos topped the guest list, with Consuelos, who became an ordained minister over the summer, performing the ceremony. Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Adam Carolla, Barbara Walters, Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee, Joan Rivers, Stern's radio cohosts Robin Quivers and Artie Lang, Chevy Chase, Donald and Melania Trump and John Stamos were among the event's 180 esteemed attendees. Consuelos wasn't the only one pulling double duty: Joel sang a song and Chase delivered an X-rated toast following the ceremony. Ostrosky donned a Marquesa wedding dress for the big day, which has been something of a long time coming. The 54-year-old radio personality popped the question to the 36-year-old model-actress on Valentine's Day 2007. But as far back as 2006, Stern announced on his radio show that he and Ostrosky had already tied the knot, only to say later that it was a prank. On Aug. 23, a family celebration at the couple's Hamptons home led some press to assume that the duo had quietly taken their trip down the aisle, though Ostrosky later revealed it was simply a celebration of their impending nuptials. I's the first marriage for Ostrosky and the second for Stern, who split from first wife Alison in 2000. For years after, he famously vowed he would never marry again, a flip-flop promise he explained away during a trip to the Late Show With David Letterman earlier this year. “I'm a hypocritical liar, as you know,” Stern said. “Things change, love happens, love blossoms.” This Content is Compiled by [ Admin > DesiHotMasala.Com ] If you want these Emails/Articles in your Inbox Daily, then click the below link and subscribe.
