You dumba$$ Kansas Man Arrested After Accidentally Calling Police During Drug Deal Via KSHB A 26-year-old man pleaded no contest to charges on Wednesday related to a crime that authorities only found out thanks to a “pocket-dial.” Prosecutor Todd Thompson said Jesus Daniel Santos, of Leavenworth, Kan., pleaded no contest to attempted distribution of crack cocaine after officers discovered baggies of suspected crack cocaine in the back seat of his car. Officers were first called out to the 100 block of S. 7 th Street when a cell phone in Santos’ pocket accidentally dialed 9-1-1. When dispatchers took the open-line call, they used a program to estimate the location and sent officers to the scene to make sure it wasn’t an emergency situation. After determining the accidental nature of the call, officers were about to leave when they spotted the baggies, later estimated to be worth more than $2,600. Sentencing is set for Nov. 28. Last week, he revealed that he had finally graduated from high school, with the help of his teacher Kim Janzen.
