As you’ve probably heard, Kylie Jenner and Tyga broke up last week. Sure, the couple now claims they never actually split up, and the whole thing was just a tabloid rumor run amok, but there are plenty of indications that they did indeed go their separate ways, albeit very briefly. Several insiders confirmed the Kyga split; neither half of the couple took to social media to quash the rumor; and, perhaps most tellingly, Kylie skipped Tyga’s birthday party and never even gave her longtime boyfriend a b-day shout-out on social media. After a couple days on their own, Kylie and Tyga got back together , leading many to wonder what could have caused them to break up and then reconcile so quickly. Now, it looks as though we may have an answer: It seems Kylie has been getting dating advice from her older sisters, and those ladies know an opportunity for a power play when they see one. “She was getting advice from her older and wiser sisters on what to do,” a source tells E! News. “[Kylie] thought the plan would work and he would be begging her back, and he was. Kim and Khloe Kardashian were telling her she needs to make him respect her and always make him be a little more into her than she is him. We may never know for sure, but it seems some members of the Kard clan would’ve preferred to see Kylie stay single: “[Kylie Jenner and Tyga are] not necessarily a great couple together,” the source claims. “A lot of their friends love them separately, but it’s also one of those things where they might be great people as individuals, but they act differently when they’re together. They’re not as carefree.” So Kylie may have dumped Tyga to in order to improve her relationship, but it seems an unintended consequence of her strategy is that many of her friends and family realized they prefer single Kylie.
