This is another MBE of mine! I went from not meeting Justin or any members from his crew to meeting almost all of them in one week! In my last MBE it says how I met Scooter, Alfredo & Kenny, but on June 19th, 2012, the release of BELIEVE, I went to J&R for Justin’s CD signing. That was my first time meeting him and I was so happy that I cried! When it was my turn to get up on line to get my CD signed, I saw Manny (Alfredo & Kennys driver) I got close to him last time, he followed me on Twitter and he’s just amazing. Well when I saw him he noticed me first and was like, “HEY ESMA LOOK RIGHT BEHIND YOU. JUSTIN’S WAITING FOR YOU” then I turned around (there were 4-5 girls ahead of me in line getting the CD signed) so when I turned around Justin was looking at me and I was just speechless. It was my turn to get it signed and I told him, “Hey Justin I love you so much” (I was speechless, I didnt know what to say!) he goes like “Hey I love you too!” I talked with Kenny and he said he remembered me from a couple days ago. The signing was quick, but it meant the world to me. After we got it signed, we decided to go sit in Starbucks near J&R cause we were tired, but my friend called us from another Starbucks saying, “HURRY RYAN GOOD IS HERE” so we ran a block just to go see Ryan and I got a a picture with him! He said he loved my phone case and thought it was so cool, he was the sweetest ever! After Starbucks, we walked and saw all the girls lined up by their car so we went down the block knowing he’ll pass, so right when their car came we CHASED IT about 2-3 blocks! They said the first Escalade that came was Justin’s car so we were chasing that, but that was Alfredos & Kenny’s, and I was kinda slow and holding up the other car behind me & it kept honking at me in a rhythm kind of, so I thought the car wasnt exactly behind me but it was and I had no idea but continued to chase the first car and was still holding up the car behind me, TURNS OUT IT WAS JUSTIN BIEBERS CAR!! I felt so bad so I moved to the sidewalk & it zoomed across all of us. But knowing me, I was the idiot holding up their car. So before I knew that it was Justin’s car, (my friend told me that it was that car like an hour after) so before I tweeted ” I was just in front of @ AlfredoFlores ’s car blocking it & they were beeping at me to move but I didnt realize…….oops,” and he tweeted me back randomly “@AlfredoFlores: @EsmaIlyas lmao I blame YOU!! Be safe.” and I felt like the biggest idiot ever. Well hey, now I can say I blocked Justin Biebers car right?! Well I went from not meeting any of them for over 3 years, to all of this happening. My Bieber experience was on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2012. I got a call from my friend Ashley and she was telling me that her friend Shelby had extra tickets to see Justin at the MTV premiere of his music video for Boyfriend. I freaked out, and said I wanted to come. I met these two other beliebers a month or two ago and they were nice enough to let me carpool with them to the location where Justin was going to be at. Once we arrived, they gave us all numbers according to when you got there. After waiting for awhile, this guy on his walkie talkie was like, “The Beliebers have arrived,” funniest thing ever . They walked us into the audience area, but kept us in this holding room with subway and cookies- to keep us entertained until they finished setting everything up. Eventually that same guy who brought us in came into the holding room and told us where Justin was gonna enter, how he was gonna enter (in that sweet car!!) We were all flipping out, and wanting to take a peek. It was about that time to get set up into the audience and get ready for the interview. They had two chairs and a red carpet set up. My friends and I got put in the very front where Justin was gonna be sitting! As they were putting the finish touches, another guy with a clipboard was walking around asking girls if they would wanna ask Justin a question. I’m not really the type to do public speaking, or any speaking in front of people that I don’t know- but when it has something to do with Justin, sign me up. I told him “I wanna” and he gave me a question to ask him. I was second to last to ask him something so I was put to the other side where Sway was sitting. Time was ticking and it was finally time to start the interview. I could see the camera guy in the background counting down the seconds until Justin would make his entrance. I heard the car driving in the tent behind us and my heart was beating a million times faster than it ever has. This was really happening. Justin walked in and he started giving hugs to girls as he walked down the red carpet to get to his seat. He walked by me, and I GOT A HUG FROM HIM! He took a seat after he reached the end of the line of girls. The whole time he was talking, I was just starring at him like “This can not be real.. You can not be real..” He’s extremely gorgeous in person, like way better than pictures/videos. When they played the Boyfriend music video, Justin was dancing and singing along, doing that arm dance thing he does during “swag swag swag” It was adorable. Half way through the interview, they handed me the mic to hold for my turn. When Sway pointed at me to ask a question, I couldn’t talk for the first few seconds, I was just in shock. Once the interview was over, Moshe was trying to rush Justin out of the museum cause he had to go straight to the studio. Instead of listening, Justin stayed and took pictures with the fans. We were all suppose to take group pics, but Justin ended up taking his time and made sure that he met all the fans that were there. Moments like that make me realize how incredible he really is. We all had to get into a line, and when it was my turn to go up to him I was like “Justin can I have a kiss on the cheek?” he smiled then said “You can have the biggest kiss.” Then made a little MUAH noise right after. It was very hard to keep my cool especially after he JUST said that to me. We took our pictures, and then I walked over to Kenny who was right beside him. We talked for a little bit, then took a picture and after I had a little fangirl session with my friends on the side. Once he was finished meeting everyone, he said bye to us then left the building. The whole day was like something that would only happen in my dreams. I’m so so grateful for it all. My Bieber Experience was on November 17th 2011 . I could hardly get through 5 hours of school that day knowing I would be meeting Justin at the Pencils Of Promise Gala that night! I left school at 1 and went straight to the hair salon to get my hair and makeup done! It was 5:30pm when we got into the room where the meet and greet was. While we were waiting for Justin to come, I met Adam Braun and Sophia Bush! I was so excited to meet Justin, I wasn’t functioning. After an hour of just walking around and talking with everyone else in the room, Justin walked in with Scooter, Carin and Alfredo! They told everyone not to scream! Everyone obviously freaked out anyway as he walked in and got ready to take pictures with everyone! I was waiting on the end of the line hoping that I’d be next to him in the picture! I watched Justin take pictures with everyone. As I was waiting, I saw a girl try and get an autograph. She asked him if he could sign her phone and he nicely said that he wasn’t allowed to because they weren’t letting him sign things. I had a sharpie so I figured I was just going to ask anyway when it was my turn and see what happens! It was finally my turn! I walked up to Justin with the sharpie in my hand. I said “Hi” He asked how I was and i said “Good how are you?” He said he was going great. Then I held out my phone to see if he’d sign it! The security guard, (not Kenny someone who was running the meet and greet) saw the sharpie in my hand and saw me holding out my phone and was automatically saying, “Sorry were not doing signatures tonight”. As he said that, Justin interrupted him and was like, “No no no, don’t worry she’s cool” and took the sharpie from my hand. I DIED. We took the picture and I gave him a hug and left! It was amazing! *AT THE GALA* The meet and greet was over and it was time to go to the Gala! We checked in at the front and the lady told us we’d be sitting at table 9, and that there was 60 tables in the room! We walked over to our table which happened to be RIGHT INFRONT OF THE STAGE where people would make speeches and stuff! I was so excited and I really wanted to know where Justin would sit! We sat down and waited for more people to come inside since we were one of the first ones to get there! More and more people started showing up and the tables were filling up. All of a sudden I saw Usher and Jaden Smith come in and sit two tables away from me! I walked up to Jaden and took a picture with him! I was just about to sit back down when I saw Kenny coming towards the table I was at with a lot of people following him. It took me time to realize that the people following him were Justin, Alfredo, Pattie, and Justin’s Grandparents! They all walked over and sat down at table 10. (THE TABLE DIRECTLY NEXT TO MINE!) I just sat there staring at Justin for a good 5 minutes until it was the time where you were just aloud to walk around the room and talk to everyone. A lot of people were crowding around Justin’s table, but none of his fans were so I figured I would go over to them and see what would happen. I walked up to the table and talked to Pattie and Kenny who were both so so so nice! Justin was standing up talking to Jaden and it was really really crowded and everyone was really tight so I figured I would just go back to my seat and wait a little and then go back over there when it cleared up! I was just about to go back when I turned around and realized Justin and I were awkwardly standing right next to each other…I had no idea what to do with myself. I had my camera in my hand so I was like, “Can I get a picture with you?” (I know I already took one with him but I had nothing else to say) and he was like, “I’m so sorry they aren’t letting me take pictures right now!” and i was like “Oh ok it’s fine!” I don’t know how I managed to say this, it was the bravest thing I’ve ever done, but I was like, “CAN I HAVE ANOTHER HUG?” He was like, “Haha OF COURSE!” and opened his arms. He gave me the BIGGEST HUG and I walked away shaking like crazy and sat back in my seat. The whole rest of the night was amazing and I made my way over to table 10 as many times as I could!
