There was one question on the mind of millions of fans after the Game of Thrones Season 5 finale : Is Jon Snow really dead ? We’ll have to wait a few months for that answer, but George R.R. Martin – ever cantankerous, yet always happy to engage with fans – has already dropped a bombshell regarding the fate of a different character. During a recent online chat sesh, Martin was asked if the daughter-torching megalomaniac Stannis Baratheon is still alive. His answer? “In my books? Alive, beyond a doubt.” We know what you’re thinking: “So what? The show departs from the books all the time. I totally saw Stannis get killed by Brienne of Tarth.” To which we respond: 1. You have a bit of an attitude problem, ya know that? and 2. Did you really see Brienne deliver that death blow? Watch the scene again: Stannis Baratheon Death Scene Would a show that’s famous for grisly deaths really deny us the sight of such a reviled character getting his head lopped off? Need we remind you that the dude allowed his own daughter to be burned at the stake just one episode prior? At this point, we’re thinking the smart money is on Stannis still being alive on the show. Of course, if he was captured by Ramsay Bolton, he’s probably wishing he was dead. Watch Game of Thrones online at TV Fanatic to hold yourself over until the premiere of season 6.
Carrie Underwood is once again a literal hot mess on Instagram. A few weeks after giving followers a look at herself mid-workout , the singer jumped back on social media and gave us a revealing look at herself post -workout. “Cloudy but no rain = perfect day to run outside!” Underwood wrote as a caption. “1mi treadmill warm up, tabata arms and abs, finish up with a 3 mile run/lunge up the hills. I’m a sweaty mess, but fortunately I have sweet Penny to help get me cleaned up! Ew. The former American Idol champion also added the following hashtags to her post: “#StayThePath #CALIAbyCarrie #NoMakeup #NoFilter #BeNice.” Underwood (who owns a line of Calia fitness clothing) has been hitting the gym often of late in order to lose weight and get in shape after giving birth to her first son, Isaiah. The gorgeous star, meanwhile, is schedule to kick a brief U.S. tour, performing mostly at state fairs, on August 17. Then, in November, she and fellow country artist Brad Paisley will host the CMA Awards together … for the eighth time! View Slideshow: 61 Stars Who Are Makeup Free and Fabulous
Back in February, Lady Gaga posted a creepy teaser for American Horror Story: Hotel. The 7-second clip told us that Gaga would appear in the new season, but told us nothing about the plot or her character. Since then, slightly more substantial AHS: Hotel teasers have been released, but the secrecy surrounding Gaga’s character remained. American Horror Story Hotel Teaser: Is That Lady Gaga? Now, creator Ryan Murphy is opening up for the first time what we can expect once the Mother Monster checks in. “Her character’s name is Elizabeth,” said Murphy in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “She owns the hotel, and she is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode and plays out over the course of the season. She starts shooting on Monday.” A wealthy, art-obsessed fashionista with a healthy dose of creepiness? Sounds like Gaga won’t have to stretch too far for this role. She also won’t be the only big-name celeb on the set, as the show’s IMDB page reveals that the first episode will feature Angela Bassett, Naomi Campbell, Matt Bomer and, of course, Kathy Bates. It remains to be seen if Jessica Lange will return for more Horror, but Murphy has confirmed “people that you have known from other seasons” will be making appearances.
Finally, some good news for Leah Messer. It seems Jeremy Calvert’s new girlfriend, Brooke Wehr , will not be appearing in the new season of Teen Mom, even though Calvert will continue to be a featured cast member. “Brooke won’t be appearing on the show, not even a quick cameo,” a source close to Calvert, 27, tells Radar. “He learned his lesson from his crazy marriage to Leah, and doesn’t want all the attention to ruin the relationship.” Producers say Calvert and Leah’s first husband Corey Simms will continue to make appearances, and they’ve teased her upcoming storyline as one of the show’s most dramatic to date. We’ve already seen a clip in which Leah’s drug abuse is exposed in shocking fashion, and the season will reportedly focus on the 23-year-old single mom’s reluctant decision to check into rehab. With all the drama surrounding Leah at the moment, we can’t imagine how producers would’ve even made time for a storyline about Calvert’s new romance. There’s no word yet on whether or not Leah’s new boyfriend, Theodore “T.R.” Dues , will be making an appearance when the show returns to MTV on July 9. If you need to catch up, or if you just want to relive all the ups and downs of Leah’s roller coaster existence, you can always watch Teen Mom online at TV Fanatic. After what might be the most memorable run of episodes in the show's history, Game of Thrones Season 5 will come to an end this Sunday. As always, numerous plot strands have been left dangling, and we're curious to see how showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff will cap off the season in a satisfying fashion, while still leaving fans thirsting for more. Is it even possible for them to top the epic White Walker battle of ” Hardhome ,” or the flame-spewing badassery at the end of ” The Dance of Dragons “? We have our doubts, but if they pull it off, it wouldn't be the first time Weiss and Benioff shocked us out of our seats. Sunday's episode is titled “Mother's Mercy,” and we can't help but wonder what which one of GoT's mom's will finally show some real maternal instinct. Will Cersei finally do right by Tommen? Perhaps Dany will manage to re-assemble her entire dragon family. Heck, maybe Gilly will take her son away from the increasingly horrific goings on at Castle Black. Now that the show has officially left the books in the dust plot-wise, there's no telling what might come next. But feel free to check out these pics from the finale and engage in some wild speculation: 1. Cersei Lannister Has Looked Better Cersei’s been in the slammer for the past few episodes. That’ll teach her to hand her power over to religious nut jobs! (And bang her cousin, kill her husband, etc…) 2. Sansa Looks Shocked Sansa appears to be unpleasantly surprised. That’s pretty much how we looked when she married Ramsay. 3. Jaqen H’ghar Jaqen and the creepy hall with all the faces. How come he gets a cool name, and Arya has to be just “A Girl”? 4. The Khaleesi’s Dudes Tyrion, Jorah and Daario. We’re assuming they’re posing for the cover of their debut album. 5. Stannis and Melisandre Spoiler alert: Melisandre is probably all, “Sorry I made you burn your daughter alive. That was totally lame of me.” 6. Conference at Castle Black Jon and Sam hold a powwow. We get the feeling their Night Watch brothers may soon cause them some trouble. View Slideshow
Even if you've never read George R.R. Martin's a A Song of Ice and Fire series, you're probably aware that the Game of Thrones showrunners have taken some serious liberties in adapting their source material. Some of the changes make perfect sense and were entirely expected (A 13-year-old Daenerys would've made for some pretty uncomfortable scenes in season one.), whereas others took hardcore fans by surprise. (Is Sansa Stark really marrying Ramsay Bolton ?!) Here's a rundown of some of the biggest changes between the books and the wildly popular show. Obviously, spoilers lie ahead: 1. Worst. Fiance. Ever. In the books, Ramsay marries a friend of Sansa Stark’s, believing her to be Arya Stark. (Yeah, it’s complex). On the show, the writers chose to simplify things and raise the dramatic stakes by having the notorious sadist marry Sansa, instead. Might be good news for the audience, but it’s TERRIBLE news for poor Sansa. 2. THAT Scene Next to Joffrey’s Body One of GoT’s most controversial scenes showed what appeared to be Jaime Lannister raping his sister (and lover) next to the body of their dead son, Joffrey. In the book, the sex is consensual…though still pretty darn disturbing. 3. More Deaths Mean Fewer Actors to Pay! Barristan and Mance lost their lives this season, yet remain alive in the world of the books. The same can be said of Bran’s friend Jojen Reed in season four. Of course, in other worldly Westeros, you can never completely rule out the possibly of a return. In the books, the slain Catelynn Tully returns as the zombie-like Lady Stoneheart hell-bent on avenging her son’s death. That obviously hasn’t happened yet on the show, but we’re holding out hope. 4. Tyrion Lannister: Disfigured No More! In the books, Tyrion is profoundly disfigured at the Battle of Blackwater. On GoT, he’s simply left with a cool scar. Peter Dinklage explained the decision in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying, They’d have to [digitally paint] over my face in every frame, and that’s costly and time consuming. I think a scar solves everything.” 5. Robb’s Wife Doesn’t Lose Her Life In the books, Robb Stark marries a young nurse named Jeyne Westerling after he sleeps with her and feels guilty about it. On the show he marries Talisa Maegyr following a slightly longer romance. A pregnant Talisa gets stabbed to death at the Red Wedding. As far as we know, Jeyne is still alive in the books. 6. A Tale of Two Reeks In both the books and the show, Theon sacks Winterfell under orders from his father. In the books, however, he’s assisted by a hygenically-challenged prisoner named Reek…who eventually betrays him and reveals that he’s actually Ramsay Snow. In Martin’s version, Theon disappears for the next three books. In GoT, we get every gruesome detail of his torture. View Slideshow

Kylie Jenner may not have snagged an invite to the 2015 MET Gala. But she may not have been allowed on the red carpet in the outfit she donned last night anyway. Indeed, while sisters Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian showed off their fancy duds at this annual celebrity fundraiser, Kylie waited until after hours to flaunt her revealing outfit. The 17-year old hit up Rihanna’s after-party with a number of gal pals, posing alongside them in a very transparent top that didn’t exactly hide her black bra. “too much sexiness around me,” Jenner penned as a caption to a picture that also features Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin and others. During the late-night celebration, an onlooker tells E! News that Kylie hung out with rumored definite boyfriend Tyga, who had Kylie’s name tattooed on his arm last month. The source adds that the shindig was packed and that everyone was dancing and having a grand ole time. They were probably gawking at Kylie’s ensemble as well, we bet.
