If we had a time machine, we’d use it to find the first person who decided to deep fry dough and then call it a doughnut so we could mouthkiss him. Or her. But since the origin of the doughnut is  actually a thing historians argue, with some saying it dates back to 1847 and others claiming they came before 1847 and that 1847 was just the year they showed up with holes, that’d be a trip the likes of which only Bill and Ted could rival.  So why are we talking about doughnuts? Or donuts, as some like to spell it? Because June 6 is National Doughnut Day, of course. (OF COURSE.) 11 Best Doughnuts In America 11. Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington: The Battle at the Wall Will be the Show’s Most Epic Scene Yet!

You may think that there’s no way Game of Thrones could top the Oberyn Martell vs. Gregor Clegane battle in terms of jaw-dropping intensity, and you may be right. Then again, we all thought that after season 3’s infamous Red Wedding scene, and look how wrong we were. Game Of Thrones: The Watchers on the Wall Preview GoT has a history of pulling out the big guns for the ninth episode of a given season, and Kit Harington – who plays Jon Snow on the series – says season 4 is no exception and the upcoming throwdown between wildlings and Night’s Watchmen will make the Battle of Blackwater Bay look like a Joffrey vs. Tyrion slap fight. “I think it’s as big as Thrones has gone at the moment,” says Harington. “I think it’s no secret that it’s the most expensive episode they’ve ever made and a lot of that is due to CGI.” We won’t go into spoiler territory by speculating as to where those CGI dollars may have been spent but HBO’s preview of the episode (which you can watch above) showed a brief glimpse of some wildling giants, and their feet alone looked terrifying. “I think it’s as big as TV gets,” says Harington with regard to the much-anticipated scene. So yeah, even if you’re still traumatized from Oberyn’s crushing headache (we don’t blame you), be sure not to miss the penultimate episode of season 4 this Sunday. It should be a doozy. Orange is the New Black Season 2: Lots of Sex to Come!

Dascha Polanco is one of the many stars of Orange is the New Black who look very different in real life , a fact she proved again while talking with reporters at a recent GLAAD event. Naturally, most of the questions fired at Dascha had to do with what’s in store for the second season of OITNB.  Dascha Polanco Talks Orange is the New Black Season 2 As expected, she remained tight-lipped and pretended to whisper important plot details into a journalist’s ear. She did divulge (possibly jokingly) one tidbit about season 2 which may seem a bit surprising given that the show takes place almost entirely behind prison walls. “Lots of sex,” Dascha whispers coyly at one point. Generally, prisons rank up there with funeral homes as one of the least sexy places on earth, but the first season already showed us that sometimes love can bloom in the cafeteria line. After just a few months on the inside Piper Chapman caught the eye of at least two of her fellow inmates and last we saw her, she had all but abandoned her engagement to Jason Biggs in favor of reuniting with ex-girlfriend Alex Vause (Laura Prepon). Not surprisingly, things didn’t work out with Piper’s first admirer, the tellingly named Crazy Eyes. Orange is the New Black has already been renewed for a third season so we’re guessing things won’t stay hunky-dory for Piper and Alex and there will be plenty of drama ahead for these caged lovebirds. Note to January Jones: There are better ways than this to make a point. Safer ways, too. The Mad Men actress took to Instagram this week in order to state how much she despises selfies snapped behind the wheel… only to prove her point by snapping a selfie behind the wheel. “hate selfies while driving, I look so distracted. #bvlgari #beatit,” Jones wrote as a caption to the following image. At least Jones didn’t actually crash while taking this picture. And then post the video of that car crash online while in the hospital. Kendall Jenner also filmed footage of herself driving , making silly faces into the camera while other vehicle sped on by. Marilyn Manson Cast on Sons of Anarchy Season 7

Marilyn Manson on Sons of Anarchy? Seems like a perfect match, doesn’t it? FX confirmed today that the scary rocker will recur on the final season of that cable smash as a white supremacist in prison. Look for him to get close to Charlie Hunnam’s Jax Teller in order to expand his power behind bars. Manson is set to release a new album and kick off a new tour and he apparently lobbied SOA creator Kurt Sutter for the role. “Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s,” said Manson in a statement. “So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema.  After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.” You can watch Sons of Anarchy online via TV Fanatic prior to the final season revving up this fall.

Jessica Meuse has been eliminated from American Idol : Everything. The aspiring singer will not be visiting her hometown as part of the show next week, but that’s okay probably. She has A LOT she wants to do now anyway. “I have a list that just goes on and on,” Meuse told reporters last night of what she wants to focus on next. Such as?!? “My plan is I’m going to build a studio. I’m going to make my CD. I’m going to write and collaborate with people. I’m trying to get into a little bit of acting,” she says. And she even know what kind of acting “I really want to be on Supernatural so bad. I am so unhealthily obsessed with that show that I just want to be in one episode, I don’t care if it’s a 10-second spot. I will just stand there in the background and be like, ‘Look! Man Goes on Road Trip to Meet ALL His Facebook Friends in Person, Share Experiences

As a typical Facebook user knows, out of our (on average) several hundred “friends,” often only a handful are “real” friends regularly seen face-to-face. Mikel McLaughlin has set out to change that. The 35-year-old set out in a red Volkswagen Beetle on a journey to spend time with each of his 400-plus Facebook friends … some for the first time ever. McLaughlin is documenting the social-media-meets-real-world adventure on his website We’re Friends, Right? He posts photos of his friends like this one: McLaughlin tells People : “I recognized that I had many Facebook friends with which I had little-to-no actual relationship. I wanted to change that, or at least see if it was possible to do so.” “I feel that having a closer relationship with a person helps me to be better. It’s easy to belittle, berate and dismiss somebody with which you have no relationship.” “But when you spend time at their dinner table, play games with their kids, and hear about their lives, it’s a little bit more difficult to be unkind and uncaring toward them.” So far, he has made it through roughly a third of his Facebook list of 400-plus, with only 25 percent being folks he already considered real-life friends. After each meetup, McLaughlin writes a short summary of the day with his “friend” outside the Web, keeping their names private and using only initials. Ranging from awkward to adorable, many of these encounters consist of simply sharing a meal and a conversation. McLaughlin says it’s been worthwhile: “Just about every time I meet with a Facebook friend, my interaction with them is my new most memorable visit, at least until I meet up with the next Facebook friend.” McLaughlin has no set timeline for his experiment, explaining that he is more focused on the quality of the visits, not the quantity or speed involved. Back home in Minnesota for now, he plans to spend time getting together with local Facebook friends before hitting the road once more. We wish him luck. Justin Bieber has pulled a Willow Smith. During the same week in which Smith created quite the online stir by lying in bed with a shirtless 20-year-old actor named Moises Arias , Bieber has posed on Instagram with Madison Beer. She’s a an aspiring singer. She is showing some major cleavage in a revealing tanktop. Oh… and she’s 15 years old. Beer rose to fame when Bieber Tweeted a link to her video for ” At Last ” in 2012 and was later signed to signed to Island Def Jam. She plans to release an album later this year and was spotted a short while back in the studio with Bieber and Selena Gomez. But she was far more clothed back then. Still, despite the photographic evidence above, we doubt Justin is actually dating Beer. Instead, he’s been romantically linked of late to a model named Yovanna Ventura . They hung out a lot last week and Justin was rarely wearing a shirt during their time in Las Vegas and Venice Beach. Justin Bieber Instagram Photos 1. The Bachelor: Renewed By ABC!

As Bon Jovi once crooned, it’s all the same, only the names will change. The Bachelor has been renewed for a 19th (seriously, 19th) season by ABC. 9 Hottest Bachelors in ABC History 1. Juan Pablo Juan Pablo is extending a rose in this photo. We know millions of women would love to take it. Perhaps more than any other TV except live awards shows, The Bachelor has consistently benefited from celebrity gossip coverage and social media. Reading The Bachelor spoilers and writing live Tweets have become as popular as the show itself, as fans love to hate it and mock it, even if they love it. Even when the star is a disaster (Brad Womack, Juan Pablo Galavis), the guilty pleasure thrives due to its format, the inevitable drama and just enough real emotion. It’s a strange dichotomy, but it made for a no-brainer renewal for ABC. The hit dating competition has become an institution, with The Bachelorette spinoff about to kick off its 10th season, starring Andi Dorfman , on May 19. There’s even The Bachelor in Paradise , another spinoff set to air this summer (not to be confused with the previously terrible and similar Bachelor Pad ).
