The sudden public emergence of a little-known war criminal named Joseph Kony has created a storm of angry dialogue, suspicious side-eyeing, and an endless stream of online chitchatter the likes of which we haven’t seen since Barack Obama ran for President of the United States in 2008. For those that follow us on Twitter, you witnessed some of the angry rhetoric that soapbox super-heroes have aimed in our direction. Clearly, Joseph Kony is an atrocious human being and the word “criminal” doesn’t even BEGIN to describe the types of activities he’s been involved in. However, there are a whole host of people that do not wholeheartedly believe in the sudden and overwhelming campaign that has sprung up over the past week. Even those who actually LIVE in Uganda have doubts about the latest social cause phenomena. Says Ugandan journalist Angelo Opi-Aiya Izama: ‘To call the campaign a misrepresentation is an understatement. While it draws attention to the fact that Kony, indicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court in 2005, is still on the loose, its portrayal of his alleged crimes in Northern Uganda are from a bygone era. At the height of the war between especially 1999 and 2004, large hordes of children took refuge on the streets of Gulu town to escape the horrors of abduction and brutal conscription to the ranks of the LRA. Today most of these children are semi-adults. Many are still on the streets unemployed. Gulu has the highest numbers of child prostitutes in Uganda. It also has one of the highest rates of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis. If six years ago children in Uganda would have feared the hell of being part of the LRA, a well documented reality already, today the real invisible children are those suffering from “Nodding Disease”. Over 4000 children are victims of this incurable debilitating condition. It’s a neurological disease that has baffled world scientists and attacks mainly children from the most war affected districts of Kitgum, Pader and Gulu.’ Hit the flip to read on…

The Bachelor season finale and After the Final Rose special air on Monday. All eyes will be on Ben Flajnik and his fiancee … whomever that may be. But it doesn’t sound good … From the magazine cover above, you’d assume that Ben was not only dumped by either Courtney Robertson or Lindzi Cox already, but he selected the wrong woman on The Bachelor finale, and there’s a nude video scandal lurking. That would be probably one-third true. All of the reputable intel we’ve found thus far suggests that he has NOT broken up with his fiancee – despite his increasingly obvious lack of enthusiasm for the show and allegedly kissing some random girl last week. They’re still together. For now. The After the Final Rose special Monday night should be telling, as it was filmed March 4, and will offer at least some insight on how the couple is doing. It airs immediately after Flajnik doles out his final rose around 9:55 p.m. Who do you think deserves it?

The Grammy-winning pop star announced the news herself via Twitter on Wednesday that “Katy Perry: Part of Me” is headed to a theater near you. “FINALLY, my MOVIE is coming out with Paramount this summer!” Perry tweeted to her nearly 16 million followers. “It’s called “KATY PERRY: PART OF ME” Presented In 3D! This is one of the more obscure Twitter wars in recent memory. A week after lashing out for receiving death threats on the social network, Miley Cyrus is once again at the center of a controversy – and it all has to do with theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss. The singer/actress posted the above photo of Krauss on her account last night, including a passage that partly reads: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements (carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, all the things that matter for evolution) weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in stars. So forget Jesus. Stars died so you can live. Many followers proceeded to take exception to the whole “forget Jesus” thing, with one follower writing to Miley: “You seriously believe that crap? It’s so ridiculously stupid. Go to hell.” There’s someone who clearly follows the teachings of Jesus well, huh? This isn’t the first time Cyrus has upset her Christian followers. The young star is an outspoken advocate of gay marriage, penning an op-ed on the topic last month and receiving a lot of criticism for her views.

It’s a great hardware sales tool as far as I can tell. Install this OS which makes your hardware unusably slow, so then you feel compelled to go back to the store and buy a new piece of hardware. He also said that Android phones don’t get updated at all: Statistically speaking, no Android phones get upgraded, none, ever. They have big bugs, they don’t even get patched. That’s what we’re seeing statistically out there. We guess he probably meant the 3GS, not the 3G, which doesn’t support iOS5.
