No, he wasn’t with his lady love, Selena Gomez — instead he visited Monday with a 6-year-old Belieber, Avalanna Routh, who is suffering from an aggressive form of cancer. In a photo posted to his Twitter account , Bieber is seen hanging out with the young fan, dubbed “Mrs. Bieber.” And the experience seems to have really affected him. “Hangin out with a special little girl. #MrsBieber,” he tweeted about the meeting. “That was one of the best things i have ever done. She was AWESOME! Feeling really inspired now! #MrsBieber.” Avalanna’s dream came true after her family started a Facebook campaign for her to meet Bieber, which, along with her pretend marriage to the teen superstar, was reported by a Boston-area news outlet. When the always-charitable Bieber caught wind of the marriage and her family’s efforts, the “Today” show reports, he flew Avalanna and her family to New York. The 6-year-old, whose “marriage” to Bieber was orchestrated by the charity the Jimmy Fund, has had an incredibly rare form of cancer called AT/RT since she was a baby. “Got some really great ideas from today. ways to #giveback. #MrsBieber really inspired me. Really,” he said, adding, “BEST PART OF MY DAY.” Bieber is involved with several charities through his Believe charity drive , including Pencils of Promise , the organization started by Adam Braun, brother of his manager Scooter, that builds schools for children around the world. The pop star also made headlines recently when he tweeted about a fan who needed an organ donation , skyrocketing registrations at the Trillium Gift of Life Network donor bank in Ontario, Canada. Roland Martin to Meet With GLAAD in Wake of CNN Suspension

CNN’s Roland Martin announced last night that he will meet with GLAAD in the wake of his suspension from the network over his “regrettable,” homophobic tweets . Martin was suspended by CNN indefinitely Wednesday afternoon after the controversy surrounding Tweets he fired off during Super Bowl XLVI Sunday evening. Among other things, he said that people should “smack the ish” out of any male fans of a David Beckham underwear commercial. Controversy erupted quickly. CNN, which was also criticized for its delayed response, took three days to respond to the calls by GLAAD and others to fire Martin or to address his tweets. When it did, it called the statements “offensive” and against what the network stands for, adding that Martin would be off the air “for the time being.” Martin did not directly address his suspension Wednesday. But he tweeted two messages to his followers (above) detailing his plans to meet with GLAAD. For its part, GLAAD lauded CNN’s stand on Martin but also welcomed the political analyst’s apology and offers to meet with and work with the group. Does the suspension go far enough? Should Martin be fired?

CNN Contributer, Roland Martin found out the hard way that a tweet can be costly. During last Sunday’s Super Bowl, Martin tweeted (what some believed to be) a “homophobic” message to his 95,000+ followers. Amid pressure from GLAAD and other Gay Activists Groups, CNN announced its decision to suspend Roland Martin from their network. “Roland Martin’s tweets were regrettable and offensive,” the CNN said in a statement this afternoon. “Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being.” There was no return date referenced. The 43-year-old columnist, commentator and author has been a regular contributor to CNN since 2007. During the Super Bowl, Martin Tweeted: “If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham’s H&M underwear ad,” he wrote, “smack the ish out of him!” Gay watchdog groups, including GLAAD (Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), seized upon this as an anti-gay slur and demanded his removal from the network. Lady Gaga Unveils Elaborate Born This Way Stage

As promised, on Tuesday (February 7), the singer revealed a sketch of what her forthcoming tour stage will look like. “I’m so excited. The Haus has been working so hard, we can’t wait for you to see it!!” she wrote in the lead-up to the reveal, before adding, “Love you Little Monsters, have the time of your life.” So what should all those Little Monsters expect from the one and only Mother Monster for this trek? It looks like the Born This Way ball will be taking place in an elaborately designed gothic castle that includes intricate details like viewing towers, cross-like carvings and a catwalk that extends right into the audience, bringing Gaga close to her many legions of dedicated fans. The look is a far cry from her Monster Ball tour , which was set in modern-day New York City, complete with a subway car, lighted marquees and, yes, a giant monster that Gaga and her dancers had to defeat in order to attend the oft-teased Monster Ball. This new tour will kick off sometime this year and continue right through 2013. Haus member and BTW producer Fernando Garibay shared with MTV News in December that the show will be reflective of the 2011 album. “This album was the most personal [because of] the amount of detail that went into this record, the amount of passion [and] emotion from her and the team,” he said. “Every song was a story towards the Born This Way theme. We’re excited now, putting that into the tour and expressing that on a live performance level. “You can imagine what happened on the Monster Ball, so use your imagination,” he said. “That’s what’s going to happen, exaggerated.” What do you think of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way stage? Originally, reports were saying that Simon Cowell was interested in hiring Mariah Carey as the judge, but he has now moved on to Beyonce to ensure the shows success. “He wants a big name female star on the panel. Mariah [Carey] is good, but she’s not that hot today. He wants Beyonce because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat American Idol.” And Simon is willing to PAY to land Beyonce.
