As many of us know, Twitter is a space to vent your frustrations, it is also a BILLBOARD. After tweeting her discontent of Bobby Brown’s behavior at Whitney Houston’s funeral, Tameka Raymond became the victim of a digital lashing from random twitter users. The original tweet (which was later deleted) said: ‘Well don’t bring your new wife & kids to my funeral.. I don’t care. Nope. Dont attempt to, no seats. Hmmp!’ Here’s a “some” of the responses from twitter users. Some are harsh, some are corny and some are straight out funny. What do you think of the tweet? Did Tameka cross the line? ‘In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene,’ singer says in a statement. By Sowmya Krishnamurthy, with additional reporting by Rebecca Thomas Bobby Brown at Whitney Houston’s funeral services in Newark, New Jersey Photo: Bennett Raglin/ Getty Images Bobby Brown did not attend the funeral services of his ex-wife, singer Whitney Houston, in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday (February 18). Brown arrived and left after a disagreement with security over his seating inside the New Hope Baptist Church, a source confirmed to MTV News. In a statement released to the press by his rep, Brown explained, “My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. “Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina,” the singer continued. “In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.” Whitney Houston’s funeral, or Home-Going, was held on Saturday at noon, and the Reverend Al Sharpton, who was also in attendance, weighed in on Brown’s arrival and departure in a series of tweets. “I am at Whitney’s funeral. I spoke with Bobby Brown trying to calm him down and not distract from the services. Today is about Whitney!” Sharpton wrote a little after 1:15 p.m. In a subsequent tweet, the MSNBC personality pleaded on behalf of Brown’s case. “We are out of the service. I don’t want anyone distorting Bobby Brown. He has shown love and respect today. Stop hatin’ ” The traditional Baptist ceremony was a celebration of Houston’s life, rooted in the church and her New Jersey upbringing. An array of family friends, including Dionne Warwick, BeBe & CeCe Winans along with luminaries like Clive Davis, Stevie Wonder and Kevin Costner , who starred with Houston in the 1992 hit film “The Bodyguard,” spoke and performed. Among the others in attendance were actor/producer Tyler Perry Mariah Carey, who shared the 1998 duet “When You Believe” with Whitney. ‘Never has a 33-second acceptance rant evoked such caps-lock postboard rage,’ Grohl writes on the Foo Fighters’ Facebook page. By James Montgomery Foo Fighters onstage at the 2012 Grammy Awards Photo: Getty Images Midway through his MVP-like performance at Sunday’s 54th Grammy Awards — a tour de force that included wearing a Slayer T-shirt, engaging in a lengthy guitar duel with Bruce Springsteen and inadvertently standing in Paul McCartney’s spotlight for, like, 45 seconds — Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl strode to the stage to deliver a delightfully long-running acceptance speech, one that some thought took a few none-too-subtle jabs at the burgeoning EDM movement. Surrounded by his bandmates and Wasting Light producer Butch Vig , Grohl held the band’s Best Rock Performance award and spoke about the back-to-basics approach the Foos employed while making the album, which included eschewing computers and recording directly to 2-inch tape, saying in part: “To me, this award means a lot, because it shows that the human element of music is what’s important. Singing into a microphone and learning to play an instrument and learning to do your craft, that’s the most important thing for people to do. … It’s not about being perfect, it’s not about sounding absolutely correct, it’s not about what goes on in a computer. It’s about what goes on in here [your heart] and what goes on in here [your head].” Of course, most in the crowd cheered wildly at the statement, though there were those who thought Grohl’s comments also slighted electronic artists like Skrillex (who won three Grammys that night) and deadmau5, whom the Foos were set to perform with later in the telecast. So on Friday (February 17), Grohl took to the Foo Fighters’ Facebook page to clarify his comments. “Never has a 33-second acceptance rant evoked such caps-lock postboard rage as my lil’ ode to analog recording has,” Grohl wrote. “I love music. I love all kinds of music. From Kyuss to Kraftwerk, Pinetop Perkins to Prodigy, Dead Kennedys to deadmau5. … Electronic or acoustic, it doesn’t matter to me. The simple act of creating music is a beautiful gift that all human beings are blessed with. And the diversity of one musician’s personality to the next is what makes music so exciting and human. “That’s exactly what I was referring to. The ‘human element.’ That thing that happens when a song speeds up slightly, or a vocal goes a little sharp. That thing that makes people sound like people,” he continued. “Somewhere along the line those things became ‘bad’ things, and with the great advances in digital recording technology over the years they became easily ‘fixed.’ The end result? In my humble opinion, a lot of music that sounds perfect, but lacks personality. The one thing that makes music so exciting in the first place.” Grohl added that, while he felt those technological advances in recording have also taken the focus off “the actual craft of performance,” he in no way meant to suggest that artists like Skrillex or deadmau5 aren’t actual musicians. In fact, it’s the way they use that technology that makes them unique. “Look, I am not Yngwie Malmsteen. I am not John Bonham. Hell, I’m not even Josh Groban, for that matter. But … I do the best that I possibly can within my limitations, and accept that it sounds like me. Because that’s what I think is most important. It should be real, right? Everybody wants something real,” he wrote. “I don’t know how to do what Skrillex does (though I f—ing love it) but I do know that the reason he is so loved is because he sounds like Skrillex, and that’s badass. We have a different process and a different set of tools, but the ‘craft’ is equally as important, I’m sure. I mean…..if it were that easy, anyone could do it, right?” Grohl concluded by poking fun at the supposed controversy, joking, “Now, I think have to go scream at some kids to get off my lawn” and signing his post “Davemau5.” And then he probably went back to being awesome — since, you know, aside from acceptance speeches, it’s what he tends to do best. Did you think Grohl’s acceptance speech was targeted at EDM? Let us know in the comments! Related Photos 2012 Grammy Awards: Backstage And Audience Related Artists Foo Fighters
‘Now it’s officially time to move forward,’ Baltimore MC tells MTV News of getting to work with Bad Boy Records. By Rob Markman Los Photo: MTV News Los had no idea that Diddy would be announcing his signing to Bad Boy with MTV News at the top of the month, but now that the cat is out of the bag, the Baltimore, Maryland, rap stand-out is excited to get to work. “He didn’t tell me that he was gonna say it. I think that he was just in the moment and he was just goin’ and it just kinda came out,” Los told MTV News on Tuesday. “I got the news at the same time other people got the news.” The The Crown Ain’t Safe MC officially signed his deal with Diddy’s storied label at the end of last year, but they had decided to save the announcement. The news broke a little earlier than Los expected, but he is hyped up nonetheless. “I was just excited about it. I was like, ‘Now it’s officially time to move forward, let’s get everything goin’,’ because we had been keeping low for a minute,” he said. This isn’t Los’ first go-round with Bad Boy, however. He auditioned for Puff’s “Making the Band 2” in 2002 and made it to the end of the competition, but wasn’t a part of the manufactured Da Band because he wouldn’t sign the necessary waivers. The truth is, Los wasn’t interested in being a part of a group, but he would go on to sign a solo deal with Diddy around 2005. The original Bad Boy deal went through a local independent label that Los was signed to, but after the owners of the label went through some legal trouble, Los was released from Bad Boy in 2008. Still, he and Combs maintained a connection. “He called me every day, every night; he called me,” Los said. “Man this guy don’t sleep; he would call me 2 in the morning, then text me 3 in the morning, text me 4, 5. I’m like, ‘Yo when is he getting rest?’ ” Diddy’s texts would pretty much mirror the motivational tweets he’s known to send. In the middle of the night, Los we get random messages like “Let’s make history” and “Let’s go!” It was that type of energy that the young MC craved. Eventually he decided that he would once again sign with Bad Boy. “It just reminded me of his brand and what it represents: no sleep, hard work, history, success,” Los said of the work ethic that has become synonymous with all things Diddy. “I decided to bring back to Puff, and I felt like no one could amplify my situation as much as he could anyway.” What do you think of Los’ decision to re-sign with Bad Boy? My name is Deema, I’m 14, Saudi and I’m a proud Belieber since 2009. I haven’t met Justin or seen him but getting a tweet from him meant more than the world to me. To just have him notice me, even over Twitter, was beyond amazing. I’m sharing this to let all of you know that if you Never Say Never then your dreams WILL come true. On 30/1/2012 it was the best day of my life. It was finally the day that Justin noticed me. In the morning when I woke up and went on Twitter, I just suddenly got this gut feeling that I was going to get noticed that day. I’ve had that feeling before but this time it was different. I felt like it was actually going to happen so I was thinking positive the entire day and thinking in my head ‘Never Say Never’ and ‘Believe’. That day, Arab Beliebers were planning to trend ‘Arab World Is Waiting For Justin’ and it worked, we got it trending! It was up for a while. I was on Justin’s Twitter page, so if he tweeted I would know quickly and when I saw the ‘(1)’ on the tab, I went on his page. I’m not gonna lie, I usually spam him with tweets, so he could notice me because that was the only thing I wanted, but this time I only tweeted him ONCE . I tweeted him ‘you saw our TT?’ and I waited for maybe 30 seconds then I saw that he had a new tweet. I clicked on it then I just couldn’t believe my eyes. My name ‘BiebrauhlSchwag’ was actually there! Justin Bieber actually tweeted me! That second my heart started beating so fast, I thought it was a dream but it wasn’t. He tweeted me ‘yes and we are gonna make it happen on the #BELIEVE tour’ so not only did Justin tweet me, but he also said that he’s coming to the Arab World for BELIEVE! I was more than happy i can’t even put into words what I felt but I’ll just put it this way ‘every feeling I ever felt before < THAT FEELING’ I couldn’t have asked for something better. Us Arab Beliebers didn’t experience the My World Tour but we are all ecstatic that at least some of us are going to experience the Believe Tour! I was getting SO much love from Arab Beliebers that day it made me cry even more than I was. I had the biggest smile on my face when Justin tweeted but the fact that loads of Arab Beliebers were sending me so much love made it so much better. They told me that I made their day and I put the biggest smiles on their faces, nothing can beat that. Although I didn’t get a follow, I still couldn’t ask for anything more and if I Never Say Never and Believe again, I might get that follow someday too. -@BiebrauhlSchwag Read the original here: My name is Deema, I’m 14, Saudi and I’m a…

So for everyone who may have been lost watching Nicki’s performance at the Grammy’s, she was giving her alter ego Roman an exorcism. And walking down the red carpet with a Pope had more than people just talking. She has fired up all types of religious rights groups and receiving all types of hate mail and tweets. But in typical Nicki Minaj fashion she has this to say to all you haters. Here Is Why She Walked The Carpet With A Pope: He is major part of the story and the movie that I’m writing about one of my alter egos. His name is Roman. Basically the religious figure is there because he was called on by Roman’s mom to rehabilitate him. This Is Why She Chose To Wear The Over The Top Red Hood Versace Outfit: I wasn’t going to do the red carpet. I was backstage preparing to have my performance outfit and not do a carpet and go and sit down. My people wanted me to do it. I had this amazing robe made for me by Versace sent from Milan. I said, “Oh, my God I have to wear this. They were so generous. They sent me so much stuff and I was originally going to wear it during the performance, but when I got it, it was a little heavy for the performance. I said, “Hey, it’s only one way to do it and that’s the red carpet.” Understanding Why She Chose “Roman Holiday” For The Grammy’s: First of all, The Grammys chose ‘Roman Holiday.’ The producers of the Grammys came into the studio, and they heard ‘Roman Holiday’ and I could not play them another record after they heard that. They went crazy. I could have chosen to do a no-brainer pop song, but I can’t do it anymore. I have to stay true to what I’m doing. Seeing how comfortable I was last night, I was like, “Oh, my God”, this was the best choice because my fan base, the Roman Empire and the Barbz they understand every single thing that I’m doing because Roman was created two years ago. Roman isn’t something new just coming out. I’ve been writing the story for a very long time and yesterday was his coming out party. Laurianne [Gibson] is such a good friend of mine and she did an amazing job bringing my vision to life. It was very literal if you know who Roman is and what he’s all about but if you don’t know the Roman character then you have to kind of digest it And Last But Not Least This Is Dedicated To Her Haters : Were they offended by ‘the devil inside’??? Shut-up & watch the movie bitch! #ThrowsPopcornATtheBackOfYoHeadHoe! lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooo Not, 2, Not 1…I wish I at least had a point five percentile worth of f*cks to give right now. Bewp! > RT @DeeTheeNinja: If she was up there half naked and popping her cuka nobody would be saying sh-t….Basic hoes!
Chris Brown managed to stir up some controversy once again at the 2012 Grammy Awards … even if all the singer did was show up, perform and win. Some stars, including Miranda Lambert, wondered why the Best R&B Album winner / convicted felon was featured on not one but two performances. On Monday, the country superstar tweeted “Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl … Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen.” “He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put in his place. Not at the Grammys.” That’s a reference to Lambert’s 2007 hit “Gunpowder and Lead.” The lyrics to that song describe a woman preparing to kill her abusive husband when he gets out of jail. “His fist is big but my gun’s bigger,” she sings. Lambert isn’t the only celeb who questioned Brown’s Grammy presence. “Chris Brown … (bites tongue) have we forgiven him?” Michelle Branch asked. Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet posted, after watching Brown’s Grammy performance , “Are Chris Brown’s mom and dad CBS and Grammy Brown?” “Looks like all is forgiven (with) Chris Brown,” Sherri Shepherd tweeted. “That’s all I’ll say.” As of right now, Chris has not responded to these Tweets. “Team Breezy we have come such along way and I’m so appreciative of you guys!!!! No matter what anyone says…. WE MADE IT!!” was all he wrote. Chris infamously assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammys, an incident some feel should have kept him from this year’s show. Your take: Did the Grammys show Chris too much love?
