ChitChatter: Evelyn Lozada Talks Basketball Wives Season 4, Her Issues With Jennifer Williams, And A Unexpected Surprise From Shaunie O’Neal…

The Boricua bride-to-be busts loose some inside info on the new season of our favorite fawkery program. Via RadarOnline The Basketball Wives are back with a vengeance for a new season, and RadarOnline.com caught up with the hottest star of the show, Evelyn Lozada to get the dish on the drama, the wild women, and her famous NFL-playing fiancé. “I am happy to be with some of the ladies, I’ll say that!” Lozada told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “I am really good friends with Shaunie O’Neal, we were friends before the show, and Tami Roman.” But as any fan of the VH1 hit is well aware, there is no love lost between Evelyn and Jennifer Williams, who started season four of the show with a bang when they got into an angry cat fight in the premiere episode. “As of now, me and Jennifer are not friends and I don’t think I will ever reconcile the friendship,” the outspoken 36-year-old New Yorker told RadarOnline.com bluntly. “In the first episode they talked about her being ‘bougie,’ when you are that person and you get a little bit of fame, you start believing the hype. She thinks she is better than everyone else.” Damn, tell ‘em how you really feel Ev. After knocking a couple inches of Jen’s stilletos, the isht-talkin’ Boricua took aim at new-booty Kenya Bell “Most of the cast members feel she’s a little strange to say the least. She’s not really someone I would hang out with after filming, she’s not my type of person.” “I think her fakeness could definitely be Kenya’s demise.” Despite her feelings about Kenya, there is one new cast member that she is quite fond of… “Kesha always remained herself and didn’t change, she wasn’t trying to do anything to make her mark on the show, but with Kenya she is not being herself and tries really hard to fit in. “When you come into a fourth season, you smell B.S. from far away. It’s best to be yourself, that’s why I took a liking to Kesha. She is a really sweet girl and always seems like she is the same person on and off of the set.” Surprisingly, Evelyn says that despite her usually calm demeanor, Shaunie O’Neal lets it be known that she is NOT one to f@#k around with this season. “Shaunie actually gets into a conflict with one the cast mates, she’s usually quiet and stays out of the mess. She did have an issue with one of the ladies on the show, and I think viewers will be surprised that she voiced that and who that person ended up being.” Shaunie must have gotten the message that she needs to stop being a bystander and talk a lil’ isht her damn self. Should be VERY interesting. More On Bossip! Smackdown! The Chris Brown/CM Punk Feud Is Getting Pretty Intense! “I Will Choke You” And Breezy Responds! Lady Gaga Responds To Born This Way Topping ‘Pretentious Albums’ List

‘Eye roll,’ Gaga tweets after music mag NME blasts her latest LP. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images Earlier this week, British music mag NME set out to determine the “10 Most Pretentious Albums Ever.” The list includes (genuinely pretty terrible) conceptual fare like Kiss’ Music From “The Elder,” Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music and, uh, Lady Gaga ‘s Born This Way, which somehow bested all competitors to nab the #1 spot. How? Well, as NME writer Priya Elan wrote, “On Born This Way, [Gaga] seemed to believe in her own hype, convinced she had a message to share. Cue an album of unwieldy ‘anthems’ that couldn’t mask the fact that the fun had left the building.” Elan singled out the thumping “Schei

Congratulations: Tyra Banks Shows She’s Beauty & Brains And Tweets About Her Graduation From Harvard Business School

Tyra Banks has conquered both runways and television… but now she’s conquering the Ivy League!! Tyra tweeted a few pics (snapped by her very proud momma) during her graduation ceremony from Harvard today. It’s official, Ms.Banks is a certified scholar. The model mogul has finally received her MBA from Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program (OPM). She told the Wall Street Journal back in October that as she was growing her brand, she found herself trying to put her hands into too many projects. Her time at Harvard helped her focus her energies: “Professors explained to me that focus is great. Being the biggest and having your foot in a bunch of things is not necessarily the best thing. So I came back and focused the message of my company. Harvard said to wait two weeks before you tell your staff, but I couldn’t wait. I said, ‘If it’s not about expanding the definition of beauty and making women feel physically and emotionally better about themselves, then we’re not doing it.’ My business before was based on me. But my marketing professor has taught me that it’s about customer centricity and not about me centricity. It’s about her. How do I affect that girl?” Congrats Tyra! Now that she’s done with classes, Tyra will be gearing up for Cycle 19 on “ANTM” which will be dubbed, of course, “The College Edition.” Will you be watching? Source Twitter More On Bossip! After rumors surfaced that Aretha Franklin got uninvited to Whitney Houston’s homegoing service because of an interview with the Today show she is ready to set the record straight with a new statement: Extra TV, the New York Post and Newsday (New York) should stop the BS. Cissy Houston and I have been longtime friends for almost 50 years. I have four invitations and parking passes that were sent to me for the funeral. Extra TV, the New York Post and Newsday (New York) are more interested in sensationalism and negative speculations than the truth. People are getting their information from the wrong source. The intelligent and the thoughtful thing to do would be to respect and have some sensitivity to the moment. If you don’t know how, at least try. Cissy does not need ridiculous speculation and neither do I—particularly at this time. Also, with respect to the Today Show, my entire statement was pre-taped. However, the Today Show did not air the part of my statement, which said, “This is no reflection on Cissy or Nippy’s upbringing.” Knowing Cissy as well as I do, I know Whitney left home right and properly. I was generalizing and it was a well intended statement for any young adult coming into the music industry. I was not speaking of anyone specifically. Oscars 2012 Predictions: Best Supporting Actor

Christopher Plummer is a shoo-in for his affecting turn in ‘Beginners.’ By Eric Ditzian Christopher Plummer in “The Beginners” Photo: Focus Features Let’s begin this discussion of the 2012 Oscar nominees for Best Supporting Actor by pouring one out for “Drive” co-star Albert Brooks, who seemed to have a nod all locked up until he didn’t, leaving movie fans around the country to scratch our heads and wonder, Whappened? While we’re at it, big shout-out to Patton Oswalt, whose scenes in “Young Adult” were not only the most consistently entertaining but whose post-Oscar snub tweets proved the comedian is hilarious even in defeat. And Uggie — the only thing I truly loved about “The Artist” — was either ineligible due to his being a Jack Russell terrier or else cruelly discriminated against. Either way, he didn’t nab a nom. But we’re supposed to be past the point of whining about snubs, aren’t we? We’re supposed to be focused on celebrating the efforts of five fine supporting actors in five fine films, are we not? The thing is, this category is truly hard to get excited about. We’re not going to go so far as to call the nominees boring as a whole, but we will point out a) approximately 11 people saw “Beginners” in a theater; b) “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” is a wretched bit of magical realism lazily draped onto a very raw episode in American history; and c) it would have been way cooler had Kenneth Branagh been honored for helming “Thor” than for anything that occurred in “My Week With Marilyn.” And it is with this high praise and these high hopes that we edge toward the Best Supporting Actor category at this year’s Oscar. Here are our picks. Who Will Win : OK, OK, this is an easy category to mock, especially since the median age of its nominees is 106. But we must say this: “Beginners,” despite no one actually having seen it, is a beautiful movie. It is sweet and moving and complexly told not for complexity’s sake but because life itself is so damn complicated. Christopher Plummer’s turn as an elderly man who finally comes out of the closet following the death of his wife (only to die himself shortly thereafter) is an affecting one. If I don’t exactly see why this supporting performance is being held up as the finest of the year, if I can point to past Plummer roles more deserving of Oscar love (his recent portrayal of Tolstoy in “The Last Station,” for instance), I certainly can’t begrudge the 82-year-old his win. There’s no doubt that after a lifetime of service in Hollywood, he deserves it. Who Should Win : Not Branagh and not “Moneyball” star Jonah Hill. I remain ambivalent about their movies. And certainly not Max von Sydow, who could have delivered the greatest performance in the history of performances and still not rescued the superlatively grating “Extremely Loud.” Then there’s Nick Nolte, whose last Oscar nod came in 1998. He’s never won, and “Warrior” kicked a whole lot of ass. Who are we kidding, though? Given this collection of nominees, the only just choice is the man who’s a lock to actually win Best Supporting Actor: Mr. Christopher Plummer. The MTV Movies team has the 2012 Oscars covered! Rihanna And Chris Brown Collaboration ‘Not Surprising’

One domestic-violence expert talks to MTV News about the former couple’s new songs. By Jocelyn Vena Chris Brown and Rihanna in 2009 Photo: Getty Images When Rihanna and Chris Brown dropped not one, but two tracks together Monday night, the songs were met with mixed reactions. Some fans thought it was time for everyone to move on and embrace the former couple’s next chapter, while others argued that given Brown’s 2009 assault on Rihanna, it was inappropriate for them to record together. In the years since that assault, Rihanna has been open about her abusive relationship with the R&B singer, saying, “I don’t want to be the big domestic-violence spokesperson, because that doesn’t define who I am. But if I can help young women in any way, and that being one of the things they need help with, then I’ll do that.” Since that late 2009 interview with MTV News, Rihanna certainly hasn’t backed down in her career, releasing chart-topping singles, winning awards, going on tour and using videos and Twitter to show the world just how fierce she can be. After the release of the “Birthday Cake” and “Turn up the Music” remixes , Rita Smith, the executive director for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, talked to MTV News about what the collaborations mean. “I guess I’m not particularly surprised given the rumors that had gone on around this, and it’s also not surprising because many victims get back with their abusers, even after an assault. They love them, they think they change, and abusers are particularly good at convincing you they’ve changed,” she said. “I don’t know what their relationship is at this point, but I’m not surprised that she’s staying connected. “I’m still concerned because his reaction to people’s criticism of him being on the Grammys was fairly belligerent, and that didn’t give me much of a message or sense of hope that he had made changes since that assault,” she said, referring to the barrage of tweets Brown sent out after negative feedback about his Grammy appearance . “I hope he’s changed. I hope that he will never choose to use violence again no matter what kind of relationship he has with her or anybody else,” she continued. “I think, for me, it would be much more powerful if they could publicly state what’s different for them so that it doesn’t just leave us wondering if anything has changed and if they have learned anything in the process, because it was so public. We’re all wondering, because they’re not saying anything. That would leave us with a different message that it all doesn’t matter and they’re just going to do what they do.” Smith said that, given their history, “I think the message she’s sending is that the feelings of being in love are more important than your personal safety.” “The thing that matters most is whether you’re safe and whether you feel respected — that’s what matters most in a relationship and that’s what we should all be focusing on,” Smith added. “That has to be the primary goal of any relationship.” In the end, Smith hopes the two pop stars have grown since the very public assault. “I don’t know what the message is. I would like the message to be: People can change, and I will never be treated that way again and I will never treat anyone that way again. If they had released a song saying this is what this represents for us, that would be such a much more fabulous, powerful story than not saying a word,” she said. “The content of the songs seems to be more in-your-face than something about ‘we’re collaborating on something because we care about the way people treat each other.’ That would have been the message that would have been nice to come out of this very public and tragic incident.” What do you think of Chris Brown and Rihanna working together in light of their history?
