Well, folks, it looks like love is well and truly dead. You might object that your own marriage is still thriving, or you witnessed an act of kindness that inspired hope this morning, but we’re here to tell you it’s all over. After all, if these crazy kids can’t make it work, what hope do the rest of us have? Yes, back in late 2017,  Donald Trump Jr. filed for divorce from his wife of 13 years, Vanessa Trump. Obviously, this was a shameful scandal for his family to endure. You see, Don Jr. is 41, and this is his first divorce! The shame! Junior moved on quickly, of course — these days he’s dating Kimberly Guilfoyle of Fox News fame. In fact, there have been reports that Trump and Guilfoyle are engaged ! That may be why DTJ is suddenly in a big hurry to finalize his divorce. Whatever the case, Don Jr. and Vanessa issued a statement today revealing that their marriage is officially a thing of the past. “We finalized our agreement at the end of last year,” the couple revealed. “We are incredibly lucky to have five amazing children and are committed to raising them together. Our kids and their happiness will always be our first priority.” The sad news involving Don and Vanessa’s split has prompted many to recall the manner in which the couple first met. Vanity Fair even republished an interview in which Vanessa recalled that she and Don Jr. met several times before either rememebered the other: “We talked for an hour,” she recalled. “Then suddenly, something clicked: Wait, you were at that fashion show. Wait, you’re . . . “the one with the retarded dad!” Make of that story what you will. Insiders have floated numerous possible causes for the couple’s decision to split. Apparently, Vanessa thought that Don Jr. was cheap, and she really wasn’t a fan of his decision to have an affair with Aubrey O’Day . Or at the very least, she wishes said affair had remained a secret from the public. It was right around the time O’Day decided to start talking about the affair that Vanessa began getting antsy in her marriage. Of course, in all likelihood, Don Jr. was never gonna be able to keep her satisfied in the long term. This is a woman who once cheated on her gang-banger boyfriend with Leonardo DiCaprio . She needs excitement, not some chinless dweeb angrily hammering out reply tweets on his Blackberry. Speaking of tweets, based on DTJ’s latest communique, it seems all is well in Trump Town. “Hilarious watching Ds scramble as their precious COLLUSION! narrative dies a slow, painful (hilarious) death. Meanwhile Trump is working to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula & keep our economy humming,” Don Jr. wrote today. “DC Dems could join in & #MAGA, but they hate Trump more than they love America Is it just us, or is it weird that he calls his dad Trump? No Chill: Twitter Hilariously Slams ‘Green Book’ By Comparing It To “Non-Racist” White People

Source: Frazer Harrison / Getty It’s that time of year again when the post-Oscar buzz either has you on a big high, or it has you highly pissed off. Sadly, when it comes to representation for Black people, the latter usually happens more than the former. At this year’s Oscars, however, there were some notable wins for Black people. Black Panther swept some important technical awards with Ruth E. Carter winning for Best Costume Design and Hannah Beachler  winning for Best Production Design, making them the first Black women to win in either category. Regina King also won Best Supporting Actress for her role in If Beale Street Could Talk while Mahershala Ali snagged the gold statue for his supporting role in Green Book. Add a Best Adapted Screenplay win for Spike Lee , and Black people are winning, right?! Meh. When time came around for the Best Picture announcement, many people were surprised or just plain outraged when Green Book took home the gold. A lot of folks took their pain out on Twitter in the most hilarious way. But before we get to that, if you haven’t seen or heard of Green Book, the movie based on real characters has developed quite a notorious reputation. Although Mahershala’s performance in the movie was praised, the flick centers around Bronx-bred racist Tony Lip (played by Viggo Mortensen), who serves as the tour driver for acclaimed musician Dr. Don Shirley (played by Ali). The movie explores race relations on a very shallow level, with Lip being portrayed as a White savior who defends Shirley from Southern White racists and introduces him to things like fried chicken and Little Richard …as if Shirley, a Black musician, couldn’t have possibly had fried chicken or heard of Little Richard.   Regardless if certain scenes were true or not, the movie painted Lip as a regular working-class White man who just happened to have some prejudices. More importantly, we should sympathize with him because he’s supposedly less racist than the Southern racist caricatures that we’re all-too familiar with in movies. Many people slammed this one-note approach to race relations with shows like Late Night with Seth Meyers and Desus & Mero making parodies of the movie.     The family members of the real-life Dr. Shirley also dragged the film with Shirley’s younger brother Maurice Shirley labeling the movie a “symphony of lies,” according to Shadow and Act . The title of the movie wasn’t even appropriate. The real-life Green Book, “The Negro Motorist Green Book” published by postal worker Victor Hugo Green in 1938, listed priceless info of safe eating establishments and lodging for Black people in the Jim Crow South. The Green Book movie barely covered this important info aside from a scene when Lip was handed a copy of the Green Book by a recording label executive. All of these issues made Green Book ‘s Best Picture win feel like another smack in the face to Black stories. When competing with Black-led films like Black Panther and BlacKkKlansman, the white-washed, White savior narrative won again. Even creatives like Spike Lee couldn’t contain their frustration, considering the BlacKkKlansman  director reportedly stormed out his seat when Green Book was announced as Best Picture. Of course, many frustrations were let out on Twitter with White and Black users alike clowning the movie’s shallow take on race. Green Book was not for Black people. It was to make white people feel good about doing little to stop racism beyond the interpersonal. Also, the other movies were better. One of his followers expressed to him that he was on the verge of being evicted, and thus, Ochocino stepped up to save the day and get this dude’s rent paid. Cardi B Deletes Instagram, Reveals Preferred Methods of Giving Offset Oral Relief

Cardi B is having quite a rollercoaster of a week. Things started off on a decidedly positive note when Cardi won the Grammy for best rap album , thus becoming the first solo female act to do so. But from there, however, a considerable amount of drama ensued, and not all of it had to do with Cardi’s reconciliation with Offset .  First, there was the reaction to Cardi’s unexpected win on Twitter. Ariana Grande called the decision”literal bullsh -t,” but later clarified that her outburst had nothing to do with Cardi and was instead the result of her frustration over what she viewed as an unfair snub for her late boyfriend, Mac Miller. Unfortunately, BET’s tweets on the subject had everything to do with Cardi. And it seems the network’s bizarre trash talk created some major problems. As you may recall, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have been feuding for months. And on a scale of Taylor vs. Katy to Biggie vs. Tupac, this one rates a full ” Cardi getting hit with a flying shoe ” during New York Fashion Week. And so, whoever runs BET’s Twitter account decided to take Cardi’s victory as an opportunity to throw some major shade at Nicki (below). Not surprisingly, Cardi wasn’t interested in being dragged down by pettiness on her big night. And so, she unleashed an expletive-laced tirade on BET before deleting her Instagram account altogether. “It’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else,” said the mother of one in her noew-deleted rant. “I work hard for my f–king album,” she added. “I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow’ and everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed.’ Now this year’s a f–king problem?” And Cardi’s not the only one who’s pissed at BET. Nicki canceled an upcoming performance for the network in response to the ill-advised tweet. Elsewhere in the Cardi Universe, fans had a bit of fun with what appeared to be bruises on the rapper’s knee that were visible during some of her recent appearances. Cardi attributed the marks to her Grammys performance, during which she violently twerked on a piano. The internet, of course, had other theories. “U ain’t gotta lie you was on yo knees sucking d–k,” wrote one Instagram user. “I suck d–k on the bed not the floor so nooo,” came Cardi’s common sense response. Pete Hegseth was speaking to his “Fox & Friends” colleagues about eating day-old, unrefrigerated Pizza Hut (no big deal) and added a tidbit about his hygiene. According to Hegseth, he doesn’t think he’s washed his hands in 10 years because “germs are not a real thing.” Hide ya handshakes. “Really,” he said. “I don’t really wash my hands ever,” he said. “I inoculate myself. Germs are not a real thing. On Sunday night they sent out a tweet about Cardi B’s Grammy win and put a caption that Nicki was getting dragged by her lacefront . This caused a ton of backlash over the idea they were pitting women against one another. Nicki Minaj responded by pulling out of her performance in the BET Experience and dragging the hell out of the network. She also singled out the writer and put her picture on blast, which is a terrible thing to do. But, you know, that’s what Nicki Minaj does. BET’s social media team is really bad. The tweets be stale, the jokes be late and that Nicki Minaj tweet that went out is just classless. I’d expect that from a Black Twitter regular, not a media outlet. — JESUS CROYST! Ariana Grande Trashes Grammys Producer: Stop Lying About Me!

Ariana Grande is not singing a very happy tune right now. One might say, in fact, that she’s hit upon a very sour note. And this is why… Earlier this week, Grande announced that she would not be performing at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, allegedly because producers told her to avoid including the track “7 Rings” in her medly, following claims of lyric-stealing against the artist. Of course, this is not what producer Ken Ehrlich told the Associated Press. He told the outlet that, after a month of negotiating, Ariana “felt it was too late for her to pull something together” for the show, which is will air live from Los Angeles. Grande, however, is now calling complete BS on this statement. mhmmm here it is ! “too late for her to pull something together……” Grande wrote as a caption to a screen shot of Ehrlich’s interview, clearly questioning the producer’s assertion. She then went after the executive in a far more personal and pointed manner. “i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me,” Grande Tweeted, adding: “i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. “i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more,” she continued. On an angry roll, Grande continued as follows: “i offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. “not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me.” This is all a bit unusual and awkward because, in the weeks leading up to the Grammys, the Recording Academy had been using Grande’s image to promote the show. Heck, the pop star said she “passed a Grammy’s bus with my face on it typing those” new tweets. She’s also nominated for best pop vocal album for her acclaimed LP Sweetener, as well as best pop solo performance for “God Is a Woman.” Like we said: Awkward! Grande did conclude her response by showing appreciation for the ceremony and for these nominations. “hope that helps everyone understand my decision,” she wrote. “i am still grateful for the acknowledgment this year,” she added, prior to sharing a teaser promoting her new album, which drops at midnight. The Recording Academy has not yet commented on Ariana’s remarks.

On the call she claims the police came before the her call and she was held up in the bedroom when the police arrived. A hashtag, #IBelieveVanessa, is getting a growing number of contributors on Twitter from people who support the Scripps College professor who accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault—which he has denied. Educator and political commentator Melissa Harris-Perry is among those who have sided with Vanessa Tyson . Tyson’s allegation was resurfaced recently by Big League Politics, a fringe right-wing news website that also published the racist photographs from Gov. She recalled Fairfax asking her to walk with him to his hotel room to retrieve some papers. Tyson said the sexual encounter began with consensual kissing. But she said Fairfax guided her to the bed and forced her to perform oral sex. Fairfax, who was not married at the time, has described the encounter as consensual. On Monday, Fairfax threatened legal action  against Big League Politics for its “false and unsubstantiated allegations” based on Tyson’s claim. The lieutenant governor said in his statement that The Post found “significant red flags and inconsistencies” in Tyson’s story. However, the newspaper denied Fairfax’s claim about find red flags when it investigated Tyson’s allegations and underscored that it simply could not corroborate either version of the encounter.
