For the past two years, the “Twilight” stars have teased Movie Awards audiences with almost-kisses as they accepted their award. So on Sunday night (June 4), when presenters Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds announced that RPattz and KStew had won for their smooch in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” it seemed this year’s show would finally bring the big moment fans have been waiting for. Well, er, it wasn’t. “I feel bad because I don’t feel like kissing you,” Pattinson apologized to Stewart onstage. “You don’t want to kiss me, do you?” Stewart, though, seemed more willing. “Well, it’s been a long time and I think maybe we should finally go for it,” she said to cheers from the crowd. But Pattinson still wasn’t having it. “I just think there’s someone else in the audience who I think will appreciate it a little more,” he said. Cue the camera cutting to a stone-faced Taylor Lautner. “Go get him,” Stewart encouraged. Pattinson then took to the Gibson Amphitheatre floor running. As the audience screamed in excitement, he leaned over and gave Lautner a full-on smooch on the lips as his werewolf co-star wrapped an arm around him. Of course, Lautner also wiped his mouth immediately after (too much tongue?), but Pattinson wasn’t done. Soon he was right back onstage going after Stewart — for real. She squealed, “No!” and ran away laughing. “What? I want to take you back stage!” Pattinson said with a flirty grin. And the pair made their dramatic and hilarious exit … but still no kiss. ‘It’s going to be a whole other level,’ drummer Taylor Hawkins promises MTV News. The band, known for passionate, ear-bleeding rock and roll, will certainly have A-listers like Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone and Kristen Stewart rocking out in the audience. It’s the first time the Foos have performed on the show since 2005, and they are taking it all in stride. But what can fans expect when the band takes the Gibson Amphitheatre stage in Universal City, California? Moments after they wrapped their rehearsal, drummer Taylor Hawkins told MTV News, “It’s going to be a whole other level. Stuff you’ve never seen before. I can’t give that stuff away.” Frontman Dave Grohl did reveal what song they’ll be playing, but didn’t give away much else. “We’re playing the song ‘ Walk ,’ which we just made the video for ,” he said. “Bringing it hard to the movie people! Yeah, Hollywood!” They aren’t the only ones excited about the performance. MTV Movie Awards Executive Producer Mark Burnett said the band’s sure-to-be-epic performance will be a highlight. “There’s always fun stuff. At tonight’s MTV Movie Awards , “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” is up for eight tubs of Golden Popcorn, including Lautner’s nods for Best Male Performance and Best Kiss with Kristen Stewart. By MTV News staff Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Since film fans made “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” the most nominated film leading into the 2011 MTV Movie Awards , we had to return the favor with some “Twilight” goodies during the big show. “Twilight” leading lady Kristen Stewart and her main men, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, will be presenting an exclusive clip from the saga’s highly anticipated fourth film, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” during the awards show, airing live at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. For the die-hard “Twilight” fans who’ve been following all the news about “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” — for which we compiled this handy guide — the exclusive clip premiering during the Movie Awards will be the very first video from the film. Up until now, we’ve had to make do with production photos, teaser art and posters. MTV News recently caught up with Elizabeth Reaser, who plays Cullen matriarch Esme, to get her take on filming the two-part “Twilight” finale. “There was a lot of emotion,” she said during an MTV Sneak Peek Week screening of her latest movie, “The Art of Getting By.” “I mean, [for] months we had been through so much different weather craziness [in all different locations that] we were in denial of it the whole time.” She recalled saying goodbye to the epic five-movie saga while shooting the highly anticipated Edward/Bella wedding scene, even though her work on the film wasn’t quite over; she had to stick around a bit longer to finish up some shooting on the film. “Suddenly, we were on the dance floor at the wedding, and it was suddenly over,” she said. “It’s also 7 in the morning, and we had been shooting all night, so it was this weird, surreal experience. We were all in shock.” Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner will be in good company, when they grace the MTV stage. They join previously announced presenters and attendees, including Nicki Minaj, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, Cameron Diaz, Leighton Meester, Katie Cassidy, Shia LaBeouf, Ryan Reynolds and Josh Duhamel. “Eclipse” leads the pack of 2011 MTV Movie Awards nominees with eight nods, including Best Movie, Best Fight and Best Kiss. “Inception” snagged the second-most nominations (seven), followed by “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1,” which received six nods. ‘She’s the cutest little girl, and she’s so smart,’ he tells MTV News of 10-year-old actress playing Renesmee. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Taylor Lautner Photo: MTV News Taylor Lautner is still pining away for Bella in “Breaking Dawn,” but she’s already made her decision to marry Edward instead of pursuing a life with Jacob. But don’t feel too bad for the werewolf. (Spoiler alert for those unfamiliar with the books!) He finds a new love in his own unique way when he imprints himself on Bella and Edward’s infant vampire daughter, Renesmee. Lautner told MTV News during “MTV First: Taylor Lautner” last week that he and pre-teen Mackenzie Foy, who plays Renesmee in “Part 2,” have become fast friends, despite the awkward circumstances. “She’s so awesome,” he said of the 10-year-old. “She’s the cutest little girl, and she’s so smart, so on it and so talented. She’s great. … We’re close.” The story not only touches on that romance, but also, finally, shows Bella and Edward on their romantic honeymoon (sexy photos of which were leaked earlier this month , much to the dismay of “Twilight” studio Summit Entertainment and Robert Pattinson ). By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Taylor Lautner Photo: MTV News With production on the two-part “Breaking Dawn” about to finish, the impending “Twilight” finale was an unavoidable topic during our exclusive sit-down with superstar heartthrob Taylor Lautner, a.k.a. werewolf Jacob Black. Wednesday’s 30-minute interview for “MTV First: Taylor Lautner” was pegged to Lautner’s highly anticipated first non-“Twilight” leading role in “Abduction,” but of course we had to bring up the fourth and fifth films in “The Twilight Saga” — specifically Lautner’s feelings about finishing up filming the epic and hugely popular franchise. “We have a couple more days and it’s over — it’s a crazy thought,” Lautner said. “I think it’s mixed emotions, for sure,” he added, regarding his feelings on nearing the end of filming. “Half of me says, ‘This will be a relief. I get some time off, I get to spend some time with family and friends and do other things,’ but the other half says, ‘This is going to be so weird.’ I’ve been filming with these people for years, so it will definitely be a bummer. It will be sad on the last day,” he admitted. When asked whether he thinks he and his fellow castmates will shed any tears when production officially wraps, Lautner admitted, “I think there will. Nobody will admit it right now, but I guarantee you there will be tears.” Will Lautner be joining in on the waterworks or holding them back? “I’ll try and hold back,” he laughed. Last Friday, leaked Breaking Dawn sex pics caused a major stir. Today, another set of images from the upcoming film are making news – G-rated, less controversial news. Bella’s wedding dress has been revealed! EW scored pics from Stephenie Meyer’s new book, The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide , which goes on sale April 12. Below, you can see an artist’s conceptualization as Bella as a vampire and Bella as a bride … Can you imagine K-Stew rocking that piece? The book’s illustrator, Young Kim, has done a great job bringing Meyer’s characters to life thus far. We imagine the forthcoming, two-part film will be no different.
