Breaking news out of the tabloid world today, Twilight Saga fans: Robert Pattinson has been dumped! Also, Kristen Stewart will soon dump Robert Pattinson! First, a source tells Life & Style that the differences between the co-stars have become too much. The latter is simply too depressed too often, as “Rob says she complains about everything and is such a downer,” according to the insider who added: “When Rob was back in the U.K., he was totally fed up with Kristen and over it. He told her, ‘We’re done.'” But don’t fret, Robsten lovers! While one tabloid reports “Rob feels he hasn’t found his soulmate and is keeping his options open,” Us Weekly says the exact opposite: Kristen is Rob’s soulmate! Hooray? Not quite. Apparently, Stewart is about to break Pattinson’s heart, as their “tortured romance” is affected by her hesitation to get married. That’s a shame. So, what are Twilight fans to do about such conflicting cover stories? Send a message to these desperate publications and DO NOT BUY THEM . That’s the only way they’ll ever stop publishing such nonsense. Seriously, purchasing BP stock is a better use of your money.

‘Breaking Dawn’ Birthing Scene May Occur Offscreen, Screenwriter Says

By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Josh Horowitz Melissa Rosenberg Photo: MTV News Now that it’s been confirmed that “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” is being split into two flicks , fans want even more details on how screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg will adapt the Stephenie Meyer novel, which includes a lot of sex and an incredibly gory birthing scene, into two PG-13 films. Well, there’s a good chance the graphic images of Bella in labor won’t be shown at all, Rosenberg says. “On the fan site, on Facebook, all the comments are, ‘It has to be R rated! You have to show the childbirth! Gore and guts and sex!’ For me it’s actually more interesting to not see it,” Rosenberg recently told the Los Angeles Times. “You know, you can do childbirth without seeing childbirth. … It doesn’t mean it’s any less evocative of an experience.” When MTV News caught up with Rosenberg to talk about “Eclipse,” she said she was going to leave a lot of those hard decisions, like how to show Bella giving birth to vampire spawn Renesmee, to director Bill Condon. “From a screenwriter standpoint that’s gonna land more squarely in the director’s hands,” she teased. “That’s one of those things [where] I kind of say [and] make a few sort of general suggestions on the page and say, ‘Go! Go, Bill! Do it!’ ” Franchise star Robert Pattinson told MTV News that he’s glad he doesn’t have to be the guy who decides how to bring the birthing scene to life. “I think that’s going to be very funny,” he said. “The only thing I know about it is the famous scene: the kind of cesarean scene … I do not envy Bill Condon to have to think of some way to do that.” Do you think they should show the birthing scene? When the “Eclipse” star stopped by “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on Tuesday night, he brought along his mom and dad and talked about how they’re adjusting to his overwhelming success. “I think they’re handling it alright. I think they used to [believe the tabloid stories] — well, maybe not the alien child — but I don’t think so anymore,” he explained while his parents sat in the audience. “It depends on the source. Some sources are more reliable than others. If it’s in some of them [that my mom has read for years, to her] it’s definitely true [even if it’s not]. [She’s like,] ‘I’ve bought that magazine for years. I have a subscription!’ ” Meanwhile, his dad likes to send Rob e-mails with advice on how to handle fame. “I hope this doesn’t embarrass my dad. He loves sending me e-mails, which I love getting,” he said. “He claims he doesn’t love watching films. His favorite film is ‘Jaws.’ With ‘Twilight’ he was like, I think it’s a mixture between ‘Jaws’ and ‘Superman.’ ” Pattinson then read aloud an e-mail from his dad about romantic gestures like kissing a lady’s hand. Pattinson even dished on their reaction to the idea of seeing their son bare all on the big screen, which he does for the upcoming “Bel Ami.” He joked, “I don’t know, I guess they were a little bit shocked. [But] I think they were OK with it. They’ve seen it all before.” They may be comfortable with it, but Pattinson is still trying to come to terms with onscreen nudity . “I think the initial moment when you’re walking to set [is nerve-racking]. They give you a little robe and the moment you have to take it off you want to throw up,” he revealed. Robert Pattinson Says Life Without Music Is ‘Driving Me Crazy’

‘I’ve just bought a couple new guitars, and I’ve started trying to write things again,’ he tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson Photo: MTV News Back in July 2008, “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke told MTV News that Robert Pattinson had plans to compose three songs for the vampire film’s soundtrack. As it turned out, only one RPattz track popped up on the album, but Twilighters were on notice: The Brit actor harbored some serious musical ambitions. “I was doing music before I started acting, so I still have bits and pieces, and I’ve been playing in Portland [during the shoot],” Pattinson told us on the “Twilight” set . “I’ve been trying to write an album for years and years.” Two years later, with the third installment of the franchise about to hit theaters, Pattinson has found himself frustratingly disconnected from that passion and without the time to listen to much music or write his own material. “I haven’t been [paying attention to music] for a while,” he told MTV News. “I don’t know why. I’ve just sort of not been listening to it. It’s so odd when that happens. You’re just like, ‘I’ve forgotten what everything is.’ ” Yet Pattinson refuses to let his musical talents go to waste, as he’s trying to dive back into songwriting mode. Stymieing those efforts are his jam-packed schedule of shooting and publicity; he’s in the midst of shooting “Water for Elephants” with Reese Witherspoon at the same time that he’s promoting “Eclipse.” “I’ve just bought a couple new guitars, and I’ve started trying to write things again,” he said. “But I never have any time, ever.” You can tell how perturbed Pattinson is by his inability to carve out time to play music. And you’ve got to hope he figures out a way to make music work within the confines of his hectic professional career, because right now, he’s bummed without music in his life. “It’s kind of driving me crazy,” he said. Robert Pattinson Says ‘Eclipse’ Tent Scene Was Re-Shot To Be ‘More Erotic’

At a “New Moon” screening last year, Taylor Lautner said it was his favorite moment to film, while Elizabeth Reaser described it as a “chaste three-way.” Robert Pattinson has yet to see the final cut of his love-triangle moment with Lautner and Kristen Stewart, but he did approve of an earlier version of the scene. “I saw an earlier cut, and I liked what happened in the tent scene when I saw it,” he told MTV News while promoting “Eclipse” in Los Angeles. “But we re-shot it, so I’m not sure what the new one is like. So maybe on the DVD you’ll have the old tent scene.” So what changed in the new tent scene? Apparently, it’s much steamier. “Just the staging was different,” he said. “I think they tried to make it more erotic.” Well, whatever they did, it certainly has Reaser all hot and bothered. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: MTV News Although her character, Bella Swan, is under siege by raging newborns in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” Kristen Stewart tells us her portrayal was a far less tortured one this time around. So much so that she ditched her plan to make an “Eclipse” playlist, a practice that helped her get into Bella’s moody headspace on “New Moon.” Instead, she went back to listening to regular old KStew tunes. “I always listen to music, but I had particular music that I listened to on ‘New Moon,’ but didn’t really have to for ‘Eclipse,’ ” she told MTV News over the weekend, while promoting the June 30 flick in Los Angeles. “I just listened to my normal music. Bella’s less tortured. She’s less conflicted. I mean … it’s the most she’s conflicted about the love triangle [but] that happens sort of at the end.” Stewart said that for the most part she “cruises through” the drama in the third movie, adding that the real dilemma is Bella’s struggle to adapt to her future as a vampire: “The main conflict is the danger and the fact that she’s losing her human life. That her family’s gonna soon maybe go away. When I was doing ‘New Moon,’ I needed the music and I needed my iPod all the time and I needed to be in my own little head, but in ‘Eclipse’ it was more about the story was just different.” So what’s a “normal” soundtrack for Stewart? Well, it turns out she has Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga on repeat . “[I’ve] probably [been listening to] a little bit of both,” Stewart admitted. “But I don’t know, ‘The Climb’ is my theme song — and I’m sticking to it.” Are you surprised to hear Kristen Stewart is a Miley Cyrus fan? Eclipse spoiler warning: In the third Twilight Saga film, Bella makes out with Jacob. We know: EEEK! But if such a scene is awkward for Team Edward supporters to consider, read what Kristen Stewart herself had to say about it at an Eclipse press event in Los Angeles this weekend: “It was fun to shoot, but I wish it wasn’t as hot. I was literally in a beanie and I was just sweating,” the actress said of the infamous tent scene with which any Twilight fan is familiar. “Taylor [and I] have so much fun with this stuff because our intimate moments are so few and far between – and weird.” What about romantic takes with boyfriend Robert Pattinson ? Said Stewart: “Me and Rob are always so serious because we have [a lot of] those scenes.” And because they often see each naked anyway – and that’s serious business! Bam Margera Assaulted By 59-Year-Old Woman

Walker/Getty Images Throughout his unusual career, Bam Margera has taken all sorts of abuse to his head, arms, legs and testicles. But up until early Saturday morning (June 12), he had never been beaten with a bat wielded by a 59-year-old woman. Margera, the skateboarder and breakout star of “Jackass” and “Viva La Bam” on MTV, was assaulted early Saturday morning following a noise complaint at The Note, the bar that Margera owns in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Ray, who lives on the same block as the bar, attacked Margera with a bat at around 2 a.m. on Saturday. She was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault and two counts of reckless endangerment. She posted $10,000 bail shortly after her arrest. Ray professed her innocence to the Philadelphia Daily News , claiming that Margera used racial slurs during their initial argument about the noise. “He called me the n-word,” she said. “I’m innocent, and he’s a jackass, just like his movies.” Margera’s mother April (who audiences got to know well on “Viva La Bam”) suggested that this wasn’t the first time her son had an altercation with Ray. “She hit him over the head with a baseball bat, and she hit him while he was walking to his car,” she said, though she was not actually a witness to the incident. “There was no fight. She’s just crazy and gives him a hard time all the time.” Margera was taken via ambulance to Chester County Hospital and treated for his injuries . “Jackass” co-star Steve-O told TMZ that Margera had been brought into the intensive care unit of the hospital and was released a few hours later. “I think he’s gonna be OK,” Steve-O told TMZ. Upon exiting the hospital, Margera hopped on a plane to meet with the rest of the cast of “Jackass 3-D,” which is scheduled to hit theaters this October. What is it with movie stars moonlighting as marketing geniuses? Earlier, it was Aubrey Plaza stumping for Super 8 — though, to be fair, Plaza just tweeted the following: “I’m not MarKEtinG SH*T! I just GOTTA know what’s indat BOXXXX ” — and now Robert Pattinson has come up with a surefire way to get people in the seats for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse . At a press conference today, when asked why people should see Eclipse , Pattinson offered the best reason he could think of: “Why not?”

‘Stretch Armstrong’ Writer ‘Gets’ Taylor Lautner Obsession

By Josh Wigler Taylor Lautner Photo: Cohen/ WireImage Although he’s currently best known for playing hunky werewolf Jacob Black in “The Twilight Saga,” Taylor Lautner is about to stretch his acting chops significantly with an all-new action franchise. “Stretch Armstrong,” based on the action figure property from Hasbro, follows a special agent who suddenly finds himself with the superpower ability to extend his body beyond normal human limitations. “Get Him to the Greek” writer and director Nicholas Stoller is currently writing the superhero film’s screenplay, but he admitted to MTV News that he has found himself a bit distracted lately. Distracted by what, you ask? None other than Lautner himself! “I had my first meeting with him, and let me tell you: That dude is handsome,” Stoller confessed. “That is one good-looking man. Like, he is — I get it. I get it!” Pressed for further details on his first impressions of Lautner, Stoller said he hasn’t met anyone else in Hollywood who can attract a crowd quite like the “Twilight” sensation does. “At this point in my career, obviously you spend a lot of time with celebrities,” he said. “I’ve never seen more people approach someone [famous]. So many people come up to him, every age and a lot of French people.” Stoller also admitted that while he hasn’t seen Lautner without his shirt on , he certainly wouldn’t mind getting a firsthand look at the actor’s shirtless physique. “I’m not even going to do the whole ‘I’m not gay’ type of thing,” Stoller laughed. “Anyone, it doesn’t matter who you are, would want to see that!” Are you excited to see Taylor as Stretch Armstrong?
