Just 24 hours after Selena Gomez’s disastrous dinner date with Justin Bieber, the singer-actress met up with pal Taylor Swift for dinner last night. Oh to be a fly on the wall at Osteria La Buca in Los Angeles. “The girls shared an Italian meal and seemed to have the best time,” an onlooker says. “There were a lot of giggles and laughter. They looked like great friends .” “You could tell they were also in deep conversation throughout the meal. Taylor was very protective of Selena and escorted her to and from the car.” The probably-single ladies certainly have plenty to discuss … Friday’s Justin Bieber-Selena Gomez date night fight came after they split two weeks ago, and Justin made numerous overtures toward reconciliation. Ones that apparently blew up in his “Baby” face. She stormed out of dinner for reasons unknown, then drove to her house where she refused to let the Bieb in … with the paparazzi watching every move. Taylor, for her part, has been linked to Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Cory Monteith, Toby Hemingway, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zac Efron and Garrett Hedlund. Girl knows a thing or two about drama with hot young guys. Swift’s two possible paramours as of this moment, of course, are Harry Styles of One Direction fame and Conor Kennedy of Kennedy family fame. Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were seen walking hand-in-hand at a rehearsal for The X Factor late last week; she broke up with Conor a few weeks ago. Some believe that was a fake breakup , however, to get his family to back off, or that they’re just on a break for now and will soon get back together. She bought a house next to the Kennedy Compound on Cape Cod, after all. You don’t do that unless you’re really serious about dating a guy for at least a month. Or you’re just looking for material for the next big genre-less pop-country smash. Selena and Justin’s drama would make for a good song, come to think of it. Breaking Dawn Part 2 is off and running. The final installment of The Twilight Saga grossed $30.4 million combined at Thursday night and midnight showings this morning. Impressive? Yes. A record? Not quite. Last year’s Breaking Dawn Part 1 garnered a franchise-high $30.3 million solely from midnight screenings from around the nation, for example. And Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 took in $43.5 million from that same time slot alone. THG will be all over the film’s box office receipts as the weekend progresses, but we wanna know: Have you seen it yet? Will you be seeing it again? Do agree with our Breaking Dawn Part 2 review ? Kristen Stewart sat down with Conan O’Brien Wednesday night and delivered one of the all-time endearingly awkward Kristen Stewart gaffes. On her recent decision to quit smoking, she said, “I was a bit of a faker; I was a circumstantial smoker. I just feel like I wasn’t addicted to nicotine.” Kristen Stewart on Conan I just wanted something… in my mouth,” she said, following a momentary hesitation and the realization of what was about to come out of it. “There you go. I had to do it, sorry,” he told the cheering crowd. “This just reminded me of the Sarah Silverman show last week,” Conan responded. “Why did I, why did I just do that?” Kristen lamented. “I’m glad for the Internet that you did do that,” Conan added. “Yeah, me too,” Stewart replied. “I love the Internet, it’s my favorite thing.” With videos like this, it’s totally THG’s too girl. Give Kristen, whose relationship tumult has been well documented, and who recently lashed out at a reporter over Internet rumors, credit for being a good sport. The final chapter of the Twilight Saga arrives at midnight tonight. For the lowdown on whether you should go get in line, read our Breaking Dawn Part 2 review !
After playing werewolf Jacob Black in “The Twilight Saga,” Taylor Lautner only has one regret. When fans first met Taylor as Jacob, the actor sported long hair, which was a wig he wore during the filming of “Twilight,” and something he wished he still had. “It#39;s my one regret,” he told Shaun Robinson at the junket for “Breaking Dawn – Part II.” “They offered me the wig,” he explained. “And I did turn it down. But I am definitely wishing now I would#39;ve taken it.”
