Hey, What’s Justin Bieber Doing in the New Eclipse Banners?

Apparently, when nobody was looking, Justin Bieber was cast as one of the Volturi in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse . Or maybe it’s just a scowly, (un)dead ringer pictured above at right in the Eclipse banner just released. At left, Eddie Munster seems to have made the cut as well. Congrats to both. ‘Breaking Dawn’ Contract Dispute Resolved

Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and the rest of the Cullen family confirmed for the final ‘Twilight’ installment. By Josh Wigler Ashley Greene Worry not, “Twilight” fans — the Cullen family isn’t going anywhere. Summit Entertainment announced Wednesday (May 19) that Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser and Nikki Reed are all returning for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” the final installment in the supernatural-romance franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling novel series. The castmembers join Billy Burke, who returns as Charlie Swan. Earlier this month, reports circulated suggesting that certain “Twilight” actors were negotiating for high pay increases, calling into doubt their participation in the upcoming sequel. Actors Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz reportedly asked for $4 million for two separate “Breaking Dawn” films, though there’s currently no confirmation that the movie will be broken into two parts. Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone were said to be holding out as well, though Reed reportedly had a change of heart and was close to finalizing her deal as of May 12. Rathbone’s status was unknown at the time. In “Breaking Dawn,” Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) finally get married and embark on their honeymoon. Their romantic escape is interrupted when Bella learns that she is pregnant with Edward’s child, with her condition rapidly accelerating. Due to the length and subject matter of “Breaking Dawn,” many fans have speculated that the movie would be divided into two parts to cover the full extent of the story. “Breaking Dawn” will be helmed by “Dreamgirls” director Bill Condon and written by Melissa Rosenberg. Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer are producing. Robert Pattinson And Adam Lambert Talk Fame On ‘Ellen’

‘I don’t think my friends have seen ‘Twilight’ yet,’ RPattz says of keeping his pre-fame friends around. By ‘I don’t think my friends have seen ‘Twilight’ yet,’ RPattz says of keeping his pre-fame friends around. MTV News staff Robert Pattinson on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Wednesday Photo: Warner Bros. Ellen DeGeneres had a double bill of People ‘s Most Beautiful stars on her show Wednesday (May 19), as she welcomed Robert Pattinson and Adam Lambert to her studio. RPattz talked “Eclipse” and was groped by an enthusiastic fan during a segment called “Pattin’ Pattinson,” while Lambert chatted about “Idol” and busted out his single “If I Had You.” First up came everyone’s favorite vampire for a ridiculously sustained round of applause from the studio audience. He was all smiles, quite the contrast to his overhyped reputation as a brooding Hollywood star. But, as Pattinson explained, his public visage has nothing to do with a gloom-and-doom attitude. “I just like doing things where you have a little time to think about what you’re saying,” he said. “I’ve always had a problem actually thinking before I open my mouth.” Give Pattinson credit for staying true to himself rather than getting swept away by his ever-growing fame. His friends help him stay grounded. “My friends are exactly the same,” he said. “I don’t think my friends have seen ‘Twilight’ yet.” One fan who definitely has seen “Twilight” — multiple times, no doubt — is the lucky “Ellen” audience member who took part in the “Pattin’ Pattinson” game, in which she was blindfolded and had to feel up three different men (one of whom was RPattz) and try to guess which one was the vampire star. “I get to touch him!” she squealed. And touch him she did. A lot. Alas, she didn’t make the right pick. Pattinson, for his part, just seemed thankful that the whole thing was over quickly. Next out came Lambert, just hours before the new season of “American Idol” is set to finalize its top-two finalists . The singer was in that exact same position last year, and as he told Ellen, any pressure he felt then was nothing compared to what he’s experienced since leaving the show. “To be honest, going into my career, this is a lot more work than that was,” he said. “Being a recording artist, touring, promos, visiting radio stations. I’m having a blast, but it’s a full-time job. On ‘Idol,’ I was singing one day a week.” Later in the show, Lambert came back out for an energetic performance of his newest single, “If I Had You,” a tune he said is about “connection and love.” “It’s talking about how fame and fortune and all the material things that come with this lifestyle don’t mean anything if you don’t have that love and that connection,” he said. “And I think it’s such an awesome message to put out into the world.” Who is your favorite of the hotties on “Ellen”: RPattz or Glambert? ‘It’s almost like you live in two different worlds,’ Taylor Lautner says of balancing real life with celebrity. By Jocelyn Vena Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” Photo: Harpo Among the hot topics when the “Eclipse” cast stopped by “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Thursday (May 13) was Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s rumored romance, Taylor Lautner’s love life and Pattinson’s onetime desire to be a rapper . The trio also dished on their overwhelming fame. “This means a lot to you guys, and it’s the same deal for me,” Stewart told the Twilighter-filled audience. “I understand that your words have weight, and I mince them when I know everybody’s waiting for them. … Most people’s favorite book is not a part of their lives. It’s never going to happen again.” “We’ve been sort of central to the whole thing since the beginning,” Pattinson added. “It started, really, when no one knew anything about it. I still, to this day, can’t really connect to the craziness, and it’s a great position to be in. You walk in a room and everybody’s screaming, and it’s not really about you, so it never really goes to your head. You can kind of participate in it.” Regarding his position on the Time 100 Most Influential People list , he joked, “It’s completely ridiculous. A few years ago, I wouldn’t be able to influence my dog to walk!” The “Eclipse” crew let loose on the show, especially when Lautner was talking about bulking up to play Jacob. “I basically ate a lot, as much as I could,” he said. “If I was busy or if I was on set or I was in L.A. in meetings, I would have to carry around this little miniature cooler. I would carry around, like, beef patties. … It’s so weird,” he laughed. “I’ll be, like, talking to somebody, and all of a sudden, I’ll just be like: ‘Can you hold on one second? I’ve got to eat a beef patty.’ ” When co-star Dakota Fanning stopped by, she revealed what girls in her little sister’s school are up to these days. “My sister is 12, and she and her best friend are obsessed with everything [‘Twilight’],” Dakota said of fellow actress Elle. “They have the cutouts of Rob and Taylor. They’re actually making a robot at school, and they named it ‘Rob-ot Pattinson.’ ” The cast knows how much the films mean to the fans, and they said they are still trying to figure out how to balance their real lives with fame. “It’s almost like you live in two different worlds,” Lautner said. “You go into that world, and then you completely vanish, and you go back to your regular life.” What did you think of the “Eclipse” episode of “Oprah”? New Eclipse Clip is Blood-Draining, All Right

You know how sometimes you’re watching the Syfy channel, and you see an ad for some bizarre, low-budget vampire-shark movie or something, and it stars one recognizable actor, and you wonder how this got made, and you think, “Probably Canadian tax breaks or something,” and all the actors are standing in some abandoned industrial set spouting terrible lines, terribly? Well, on a completely unrelated note, here is a new clip of Dakota Fanning and the Volturi from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse .

‘Eclipse’ Clip Shows Volturi Scheming In Seattle

Dakota Fanning and company watch the newborn vampires’ chaos in brand-new clip. By Eric Ditzian Photo: Summit Entertainment Robert Pattinson , Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner don’t need to get all the attention, do they? With the “Twilight” trio set to appear together Thursday (May 13) on an episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Summit Entertainment released a brand-new clip from “Eclipse” in which none of them appears. Instead the footage, which debuted as an iTunes exclusive , focuses on Dakota Fanning’s Jane and her crew of Volturi vampire badasses, giving us our closest look yet at their roles in “Eclipse.” And the 40-second clip is doubly interesting because this scene does not appear in the book on which the film is based. The scene opens as the Volturi, the Italy-based royalty of the vampire world, look down upon a collection of newborn vampires sowing chaos on the city streets. These just-turned bloodsuckers were created by Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) with the express purpose of destroying Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and his family, as well as Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). The Volturi watch the Seattle newborns feed on humans, overturn cars and generally create an atmosphere of violent chaos. “They’ve already drawn too much attention,” Demetri (Charlie Bewley) says. “So has our inaction,” Felix (Daniel Cudmore) responds. “Others may begin to question the Volturi’s effectiveness.” But the diminutive Jane is not buying this call for a show of strength. “Let them,” she says, her blood-red eyes unblinking. Felix remains unsatisfied. “Maybe we should consult with Aro,” he suggests. It’s then that we see Jane’s abilities on full display. She can inflict incapacitating pain with only her thoughts — a special ability she developed after being burned at the stake as a child. As she holds Felix using only her mind, Jane’s brother Alec (Cameron Bright) looks on. “Aro’s decisions are being watched,” she says cryptically. “Either we let them do what they were created for, or we end them. Decisions, decisions.” What do you think of this scene and its departure from Stephenie Meyer’s “Eclipse”? Share your thoughts in the comments. ‘Eclipse’ Soundtrack Includes Band Of Horses, Sia, Cee-Lo

Previously announced artists include Vampire Weekend, Muse, Beck and the Dead Weather. By James Montgomery Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Entertainment We already knew about Muse , and, then, throughout the day on Wednesday (May 12), we gradually added even more names to the list — Vampire Weekend, Beck and the Bravery , to rattle off just a few. And now, finally, we know it all: every artist that will contribute a song to the much-anticipated “Eclipse” soundtrack.
