Robert Pattinson Not To Appear In Breaking Dawn: THE TRUTH!

Yes.

Bryce Dallas Howard Featured in ‘Saturday Night’ Magazine

Less than 3 months away until we get to see Bryce Dallas Howard play Victoria in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and I’m totally rooting for her to do an amazing job in this role. The actress is featured in Saturday Night magazine’s “Celebrity Spotlight” where she talks about joining the close-knit Twilight cast and the pressure she felt of continuing a role already played by Rachelle Lefevre. SNMag: What has it been like joining the cast of Twilight? BDH: It’s a really extraordinary series and obviously the franchise really reflects what Stephenie Meyer has created with a lot of integrity. She’s so involved with the movies and it is really wonderful. It’s really an incredible storytelling moment. And people are really connecting with and responding to that. So I read the books and I just did my best for the character Victoria. I just wanted to do my best not to interfere with the books. SNMag: Did you feel pressure coming into this, with the character already being established? BDH: Yes, of course I did. Rachelle [Lefevre] did an extraordinary job at creating Victoria and part of the joy of a franchise like this is getting to see not only the characters grow but the actors continuing to grow with the characters. That’s a lot of the joy in the Harry Potter series. Every time I see one of those movies it’s so exciting to see them because they’re all getting a little bit older and different things are happening to them. It’s like watching a TV show. You start to connect with the actors really deeply. It was really unfortunate for everybody that Rachelle left. I did feel, I don’t know if I should say a pressure, but an enormous responsibility because the fans felt really strongly about the role of Victoria and they felt a deep connection to Rachelle, which they should because she is also beautiful and talented. I really did do my best and I hope that whatever work I did can somehow honor what had been created before and what was created by Stephenie. I felt really grateful to this because Rachelle and I have connected. She’s an amazing woman and has been enormously and overwhelmingly helpful. SNMag: What was the shooting like for you? Did you have an opportunity to hang out with the cast and bond with them? BDH: Oh, yes, I mean they’re a very tight-knit group of people who are just wonderful. They’re incredibly authentic and none of them are getting swept up by the mania of this. They just care about each other and are protective of each other. They are just a great group of friends. I feel like all of these people would have been friends regardless. They all bonded through this amazing moment that’s happening in their lives. {via Saturday Night Magazine }

Three New ‘Eclipse’ Stills Officially Released By Summit!

Along with the announcement of a new short story being released in June by Stephenie Meyer ( click here to check out our post on the upcoming release of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner ), Summit Entertainment gave us three brand new stills from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse ! The official synopsis of the movie was also released: In ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life. The first photo looks like the campfire scene – where Bella hears about the Quileute legends. The second one – possibly Edward and Jacob discussing how to defeat the newborns? And the third looks like it could be from the battle scene. What are your thoughts on the photos? What scene do you think each is from? I really need to re-read Eclipse

Bree Tanner Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know About New ‘Twilight’ Novella

Character provides insight into Victoria’s creation of vampire army in Seattle. By Terri Schwartz “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” Photo: Little, Brown Books/ Summit Entertainment Oh my Edward. Stephenie Meyer has announced she is publishing a new book called “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner,” due in bookstores June 5 and available for free at BreeTanner.com from June 7 to July 5. The novella will act as something of a companion piece for the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” film. But it begs the question: Who exactly is Bree Tanner? It seems a bit surprising that Meyer would choose to write a novella about a character who shows up for such a short period of time in the novels. Don’t worry about hauling out your copy of “Eclipse” to find the surprisingly few pages Tanner appears on, because we did all the dirty work for you. Here is a cheat sheet telling you everything you need to know about the short-lived Bree Tanner. An “Eclipse” Exclusive : If you’ve only been watching the “Twilight” movies or read the first two books, don’t be shocked that you have no idea who Bree Tanner is. In fact, don’t be upset if you read “Eclipse” and still have no idea who she is. Tanner is a character introduced a startlingly short amount of time before she dies in “Eclipse” and could be considered (to everyone except Stephenie Meyer) to be a throwaway character. A Short Life : Tanner is only introduced 10 pages before she is killed off in Victoria’s war against the Cullens and the Quileute werewolf tribe. However, of all the newborn vampires discussed in “Eclipse,” Tanner was one of the few to be named and introduced to the readers. Unfortunately, it didn’t take very long after she was turned into a vampire for her to meet her end … again. Dramatic Death Scene : It turns out Tanner isn’t the best newborn vampire among them all, and she isn’t a big fan of killing innocents and drinking their blood. She tries to join forces with the Cullen clan and adapt to their “vegetarian vampire” lifestyle, but ends up being killed by Felix on the orders of Jane, a member of the Volturi guard (played by Dakota Fanning in the film), in the final battle. Newborn Vampires : A big part of the story in “Eclipse” surrounds the bad-girl vampire Victoria creating an army of newborn vampires in the Seattle area so she can wage war on Edward Cullen, who killed her beau James way back in “Twilight.” When a vampire is first created, it is at its strongest, so Victoria went around recklessly creating vampires so she could have an extremely powerful army behind her. Tanner was just one of the fatalities. Seattle : The trouble with the first-person perspective of “The Twilight Saga” is that the reader can’t read what is happening firsthand beyond what Bella Swan sees with her own eyes. Much like “Midnight Sun” gave (some) of the details behind what happened elsewhere in “Twilight,” “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” will show what happened in Seattle with Victoria during “Eclipse.” But since much of “Eclipse” is devoted to the characters wondering what exactly was going on in Seattle, seeing it through the eyes of a secondary character like Tanner is a smart companion piece to the book. Unseen First Life : Unfortunately for Tanner, the world will never know what happened to her before she became a vampire. She was introduced into “Eclipse” after she was a newborn and “The Short Second Life” will start off the same way. There is a chance of flashbacks telling about her life before becoming a vampire, but the way Meyer described the novella on her Web site made it seem as though Tanner was the narrator solely so the reader could see what went on in Seattle, not to learn her past. In The Movies : “Eclipse” director David Slade at least had more of a heads-up than fans and retailers did about “The Short Second Life,” and he cast 14-year-old Jodelle Ferland in the role. Slade and Ferland, as well as Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria) and Xavier Samuel (Riley), were given advance copies of the book to read so they could have a complete knowledge of what went on in Seattle for the film. Kellan Lutz is a Greek God

This won’t come as any surprise to someone that has seen Kellan Lutz with his shirt off , but the actor is a Greek god. The 25-year-old Twilight Saga star has nabbed a role in War of the Gods. In the film, he’ll appear opposite Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke and Freida Pinto. Lutz will portray Poseidon, lord of the sea, as the movie tells the story of a young warrior who leads his men into battle with Greek gods as they go up against the Titans. What’s at stake? Only all of mankind. Filming gets underway in April. And fear not: it won’t interfere with Kellan’s commitments to return for Breaking Dawn .

Kristen Stewart, Stars Come Out for Premiere of The Runaways

The Runaways premiered in Los Angeles last night. Focusing on the formation and development of a band led by Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, The Runaways has been well-received by critics. The singers are played by Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, respectively. They posed together on the red carpet of the premiere, as Stewart even managed to crack a smile: In a recent interview with SPIN magazine, Kristen talked about this role, compared to Bella in the Twilight Saga: “I was terrified. I was going, ‘Oh my God, why the f-ck am I here?’ This was the coolest job I’d had – it was something different during a long stint of something very much the same. I knew I needed to cut off Bella’s long hair. I needed to be able to throw my head around and feel the sweat dripping.” Will you be seeing The Runaways ? Below, we’ve posted more photos from the premiere, including an appearance by Taylor Lautner … [Photos: Splash News]

Zac Efron on Robert Pattinson: He’s Amazing

This is no fun. When asked about fellow young hottie Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron didn’t attack the Twilight Saga star or begin a feud that would have the Internet buzzing. Instead, he simply showered Robert with praise. “He’s absolutely amazing,” Efron told Access Hollywood on the red carpet of the Academy Awards. “I think he’s making great choices. I think he’s handling it all really well, but you know, he’s a superstar. He really deserves all this.” Come on, Zac. You can’t insult Rob’s new hairstyle at least? Fine. We’ll have to start a rivalry between these two studs ourselves. Study each one above and then answer the all-important question: Who would you rather?

Chris Weitz Teases Eclipse as "Very Steamy"

Take this from someone in the know: Eclipse is gonna be hot! Chris Weitz, who directed New Moon , tells People magazine he’s read the script for the Twilight Saga’s third installment and fans will NOT be disappointed. Especially in one specific scene. “I’m looking forward to the sleeping bag scene, I gotta say,” Weitz said . “That’s going to be very steamy.” As readers of the book franchise know, Weitz is referring to the moment where a freezing Bella (on the run from Victoria) gets warmed up from Jacob… while Edward angrily, awkwardly, angrily looks on. The director also says he’s excited to see Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli get into the intense action of Eclipse . “I have a special interest in seeing Peter and Elizabeth tear people’s heads off,” Weitz said. “Knowing them, and how kind of kooky and delightful they are, I’m going to find seeing them being ultra-violent very interesting indeed.” Yeah. That’s fine and all. We just wanna see Taylor Lautner shirtless . Eclipse opens on June 30.
