The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 Sex Pillow Can Be Yours for Just $3K

Twilight fans need to hear just one word to understand why this rather standard-looking pillow is going for thousands on Ebay: “Feathers.” Yes, that’s right — the prop pillow that Edward Cullen shredded during his in flagrante honeymoon sexing with Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is up for auction by the prop reseller Hollywood Parts, which guarantees the authenticity of the item with this lovely detail: “Make up stains from the main actors can be seen on the pillow.” ( Butter-colored , I presume?) Somehow it’s still available for the low, low Buy It Now price of $2,999.99. And I thought shoes from the future were a good investment… [ eBay via Examiner ]

Which ‘Twilight’ Scenes Could Use A Revamp?

As Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart go back for re-shoots, MTV News asks fans what scenes need a makeover. By Kara Warner Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Entertainment In light of the news that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are headed back to the “Breaking Dawn — Part 2” set for a few re-shoots , this week’s Twilight Tuesday posed the question: If you could have any scene in any of the previous films re-shot, which one would you revamp? (Pun intended!) As always, the members of the knowledgeable and passionate “Twilight” fan community responded to the query with gusto. Some folks want to see extended versions of their favorite scenes, some are still displeased with the book-to-film adaptation in certain areas and some requested they re-shoot entire films altogether . But there are two scenes that a majority of fans agreed could use a makeover: the meadow scene in “Twilight” and Edward and Bella’s reunion in “New Moon.” Here’s a sampling of our favorite responses and suggestions: @Cycyn: The meadow scene. It was THE ONE scene they had to capture perfectly (it was Steph’s dream) and it’s really bad. @Cordyq45: Eclipse- Bella getting on Jake’s bike in the school parking lot. Never shoulda happened. @dazzle715: The scene where Bella kisses Jacob in Eclipse, instead she would just push him off the mountain. @pinkpixiechick: Edward and Bella’s reunion in New Moon. Wish it was more like the book version. Too short and passively handled in the film. I’m not a fan of how Melissa Rosenberg writes Edward & Bella scenes. Their reunion in her bedroom (New Moon) felt very rushed. @MeganC79: The meadow scene by far. It’s the most important scene in Twilight and was completely botched in the movie. Huge disappointment. @Brendaof6: The Twilight scene when the “bad” vamps crash the game and Cullens get defensive. Liked at first but now I giggle every time! @Melly1901: Twilight’s meadow scene. Wasn’t how I imagined it. I wish they added the Twi lunch scenes between Ed/Bella too… @KansasCityGypsy: “I know what you are.” “Say it.” “Vampire.” Such bad acting. @Mama_Cougar: Good LORD that heinous “Wolves at the lumbermill” scene from Breaking Dawn. The Eclipse Forest Frolic is a close second. @robownsme: Bella’s speech at the end of Eclipse and her riding away with Jacob on the motorcyle. Both scenes were ridiculous and horrible. @maineemilyhoon: New Moon – the post-Italy scenes. In the book it’s so swoonily romantic…in the movie it’s just dull. What other scenes could use a re-vamp? Twilight vs. The Hunger Games: Which Series Will Come Out On Top?

With Lionsgate’s big screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ teen-centric sci-fi survival-adventure The Hunger Games hitting screens this week, it’s kind of impossible not to draw comparisons to that other YA juggernaut series, which concludes its billion-dollar run on pop culture this fall. So how does The Hunger Games measure up to Twilight ? Some spoilers follow. THE BOOKS Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight , first published in 2005, spawned a total of four books (and one spin-off novella) that were adapted into five movies ( Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits screens this November), with over 116 million copies in print. Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games , first published in 2008, spawned a total of three books set to be adapted into four movies, with over 26 million copies in print. Advantage: Twilight THE HEROINE Twilight : Bella Swan is a 17-year-old girl who moves to gloomy Forks, Washington and falls in love with a vampire. Unassuming and average, she finds her inner strength after four novels’ worth of being imperiled by embracing her destiny and starting a family. Hunger Games : Katniss Everdeen is a 16-year-old girl who lives in gloomy District 12 in the fascist future world of Panem and must fight for her life in a televised battle royale. A skilled huntress, she finds her inner heroine after three novels’ worth of being a pawn in the Capitol’s games by embracing her destiny and becoming a symbol of the resistance. Advantage: Hunger Games SUPER POWERS (AND SUPER WEAKNESSES) Twilight : Left at the mercies of other people’s protection, Bella’s the lame duck for most of the saga, until she discovers that her secret power is, literally, the ability to protect her loved ones. Seriously. Meanwhile, her love for Edward keeps threatening to ruin everything – prom, her sex life, the future of all vampirekind. Hunger Games : Empowered at an early age thanks to her father’s untimely death, Katniss is the provider in her family for most of her life, until she enters the Games and discovers that compassion for others, and the newfound ability to trust in Peeta, is the key to survival. Her only weakness, it could be said, is that her personal drive to survive is so strong she has trouble seeing the big picture, and her place in it. Advantage: Hunger Games THE LOVE TRIANGLE Twilight : Bella must choose between two suitors – Edward Cullen, the sparkly vampire, and Jacob Black, her werewolf BFF. Heated tent scenes, make-out sessions, and torrid glances ensue. Hunger Games : Katniss must choose between two suitors – Peeta, the golden baker’s son (and her fellow Tribute in the Hunger Games), and Gale, her earthy BFF. Play-acted cave scenes, tender kisses, and internal struggles ensue – that is, when Katniss isn’t busy, you know, fighting for her life. Advantage: Twilight THE THEMES Twilight : Love, lust, abstinence, teen pregnancy, motherhood, sexuality vs. sin. Hunger Games : Fighting injustice, taking a stand, trusting others, personal responsibility. Advantage: Hunger Games. THE ONSCREEN PG-13 ACTION Twilight : Speed-ramped vampire running, bad wirework, CG werewolf-vampire melees, non-gory limb-shattering/ripping/beheadings, and one vivid, suggestive C-section by vampire scene. Hunger Games : Training exercises, arrow-shooting, hand-to-hand combat, bladed weapons, Tracker Jacker (i.e. hallucination-inducing poison bee) attacks, and one vivid, suggestive shaky-cam Cornucopia melee. Advantage: Hunger Games FILM PEDIGREE Twilight : Installments directed by Catherine Hardwicke ( Twilight ), Chris Weitz ( New Moon ), David Slade ( Eclipse ), and Oscar-winner Bill Condon ( Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2 ). Top Rotten Tomatoes score: Eclipse , at 49%. Hunger Games : The Hunger Games directed by Oscar-nominee Gary Ross, who is set to direct the next sequel, Catching Fire . Current Rotten Tomatoes score: 100% (with 17 reviews in). Advantage: Hunger Games — Seems like The Hunger Games has the edge over Twilight by most of the above criteria, stemming from its more complex and stirring lead character, story, and themes. That said, Twilight fandom outpaces Hunger Games fandom by the millions, circulation-wise. Will solid critical reviews and stellar pre-release ticket sales help bump The Hunger Games to Twilight -level box office returns — and convince non-fans to give it a shot? Sound off below, Movieliners!

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Teaser Reveals First Look at Vampire Bella Swan

Kristen Stewart should finally get to have some fun this November in Summit’s franchise-ending The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 , which sees heroine Bella Swan finally blossom into the hot lady vampire mom she was always meant to be. A new teaser reveals your first full look at Stewart as Vampire Bella flexing her new superpowers, making out with Robert Pattinson , worrying about the hordes who want to kill her baby — you know, the usual new parent routine. The clip, apparently taken from a Target in-store promo reel, reveals Stewart in full vampire mode: Red lips, amber eyes, pale skin, perfect eyebrows, bolder sense of self-confidence. The scene within shows Bella and Edward discussing their final challenge: Gathering enough support from the vampire community to prove to Michael Sheen’s head bloodsucker crew that their little half-human, half-vampire baby Renesmee isn’t an abomination of nature. That’s essentially what the conclusion of Breaking Dawn is about: Parenthood. Sigh. Compared to the teenage murder battles of The Hunger Games Bella’s undead domestic melodramas don’t sound quite as exciting anymore. [via Daily Mail ]
