Brangelina Donates $2M to Namibian Wildlife Refuge

We will say it again. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are awesome. Over the holidays, the globe-trotting, philanthropic pair visited an animal sanctuary in Namibia, where their first biological child was born. When they departed, they left an astounding $2 million behind. GIVING BACK: It’s what Brangelina is becoming best known for. The couple made that huge donation to the Naankuse Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia, the country in which daughter Shiloh, now 4, was born. Of the donation in Shiloh’s name, Angelina said, “We want her to be very involved and grow up with the understanding of her country of birth.” The pair often donates to humanitarian causes, including Doctors Without Borders and Global Action for Children, via the Jolie/Pitt foundation. The couple and their children spent the holidays at the Namibian sanctuary caring for and feeding orphaned animals. It was a major success. Said Jolie: “We continue to be impressed by the hard work and dedication of the people and conservation of the land and wildlife of Namibia.” People question their motives, but even if they were entirely self-serving, do you think the people and wildlife of Namibia are worse off? No. Here’s a clip from 2009 of Angelina reflecting on her ties to the nation: Angelina Jolie in Namibia

Kim Kardashian’s Tits Distract from her Stupid Haircut of the Day

Here are some pictures of fat Kim Kardashian using her tits and a tight workout outfit, despite the fact she doesn’t work out, proven by her fat ass, with a stupid fucking cornrow haircut…. Behind all the make-up the Kardashian’s are some seriously busted up and broken down pussy. The kind of weathered shit you’d expect to find at an AA meeting talking about meth addiction. they are disgusting… I don’t know if she is pretending to be a 7 year old on vacation in Orlando or the Bahamas or wherever kids get this stupid cornrow shit from on Springbreak. Or maybe it’s just part of her new Kanye West hip hop act, where she thinks doing her hair like a slave baby will increase her fat ass credibility….by proving her understanding and compassion about the black man’s plight on a deeper level than just letting them stick their dick in her. All I know is that she looks like a fat fool….Unfortunately, a fool I’d probably fuck thanks to her coinslot pussy sex tape that made her famous….

Does the Past Exist Yet? Evidence Suggests Your Past Isn’t Set in Stone

Recent discoveries require us to rethink our understanding of history. “The histories of the universe,” said renowned physicist Stephen Hawking “depend on what is being measured, contrary to the usual idea that the universe has an objective observer-independent history.” Is it possible we live and die in a world of illusions? Physics tells us that objects exist in a suspended state until observed, when they collapse in to just one outcome. Paradoxically, whether events happened in the past may not be determined until sometime in your future — and may even depend on actions that you haven't taken yet. In 2002, scientists carried out an amazing experiment, which showed that particles of light “photons” knew — in advance −- what their distant twins would do in the future. They tested the communication between pairs of photons — whether to be either a wave or a particle. Researchers stretched the distance one of the photons had to take to reach its detector, so that the other photon would hit its own detector first. The photons taking this path already finished their journeys -− they either collapse into a particle or don't before their twin encounters a scrambling device. Somehow, the particles acted on this information before it happened, and across distances instantaneously as if there was no space or time between them. They decided not to become particles before their twin ever encounterd the scrambler. It doesn't matter how we set up the experiment. Our mind and its knowledge is the only thing that determines how they behave. Experiments consistently confirm these observer-dependent effects. More recently (Science 315, 966, 2007), scientists in France shot photons into an apparatus, and showed that what they did could retroactively change something that had already happened. As the photons passed a fork in the apparatus, they had to decide whether to behave like particles or waves when they hit a beam splitter. Later on – well after the photons passed the fork – the experimenter could randomly switch a second beam splitter on and off. It turns out that what the observer decided at that point, determined what the particle actually did at the fork in the past. At that moment, the experimenter chose his history. added by: singrrr

WaPo Obit Tones Down Climate Scientist’s Recent Attack on ‘Hitlerian Lies’ and ‘Gun-Toting Rightwingers’

The Washington Post obituary for liberal climate scientist Stephen Schneider, a media favorite over the years to promote the allegedly ironclad certainty of global warming, replayed a very recent jeremiad against “Hitlerian lies” by conservatives in the wake of Climategate. But the Post’s version of his remarks toned him down and excised his attacks on “gun-toting rightwingers” who are Limbaugh and Beck fans. T. Rees Shapiro reported: His passionate views on the climate debate occasionally attracted vitriol from extremist groups. An FBI investigation recently found he was named on a neo-Nazi “death list,” and Dr. Schneider said he received hundreds of hate e-mails a day. “What do I do? Learn to shoot a magnum? Wear a bulletproof jacket?” Dr. Schneider said. “I have now had extra alarms fitted at my home, and my address is unlisted. I get scared that we’re now in a new Weimar Republic where people are prepared to listen to what amounts to Hitlerian lies about climate scientists.” Nonetheless, Dr. Schneider said he believed it was important for scientists to communicate with the public and spread their understanding of climate data and findings. “If we do not do the due diligence of letting people understand the relative credibility of claimants of truth, then all we do is have a confused public who hears claim and counterclaim,” Dr. Schneider said in a recent interview with Climate Science Watch. “When somebody says ‘I don’t believe in global warming,’ I ask, ‘Do you believe in evidence? Do you believe in a preponderance of evidence?’ ” For a fuller version of Schneider’s remarks, we turn to the leftist British newspaper The Guardian  on July 5, in which correspondent Leo Hickman warned “Climate scientists in the US say police inaction has left them defenceless in the face of a torrent of death threats and hate mail.” Schneider sounds less like a scientist and more like an activist:   Schneider described his attackers as “cowards” and said he had observed an “immediate, noticeable rise” in emails whenever climate scientists were attacked by prominent right-wing US commentators, such as Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh . “[The senders] are not courageous people,” said Schneider. “Where are they getting their information from? They just listen to assertions made on blogs and rightwing talkshows. It’s pathetic .” Schneider said the FBI had taken an interest earlier this year when his name appeared on a “death list” on a neo-Nazi website alongside other climate scientists with apparent Jewish ancestry. But, to date, no action has been taken. “The effect on me has been tremendous,” said Schneider. ” Some of these people are mentally imbalanced. They are invariably gun-toting rightwingers. What do I do? Learn to shoot a Magnum? Wear a bullet-proof jacket? I have now had extra alarms fitted at my home and my address is unlisted. I get scared that we’re now in a new Weimar republic where people are prepared to listen to what amounts to Hitlerian lies about climate scientists.” The Post obituary made no reference whatsoever to Schneider’s arguments in the 1970s that the real peril was global cooling . That apparently would have been too much of a concession to the gun-toting rightwingers.

The Only Thing Crazier Than Mike Tyson? Mike Tyson And Tupac

You know how there are moments in life that are so incredible, they defy our understanding at the time? From MTV News , Mike Tyson describes his first meeting with Tupac Shakur: “Magic Johnson had a party at the Palladium in Los Angeles. … I came outside. I was talking to the people running the door. They were friends of mine. They wouldn’t let these guys in, Tupac and them. I said, ‘Man, let these guys in. You remember how it was with us.’ “So they let him in. ‘Pac had said, ‘Hold up for one minute,’ and he brought back 200 more people. Next thing I knew, it was over. I hear somebody on the mic — he took the mic. Him and his guys got the mic somehow and started rapping. The whole crowd started going crazy. They loved him. The guys from Digital Underground introduced him to me. They said, ‘This is Tupac.’ I met him, he was very young. He was very happy, vivacious. While we pause before the jump, imagine Mike Tyson’s pronunciation of “vivacious.” As for the story of Tyson and Tupac, I’m shocked the world didn’t split in half with those two in the same place. Listen to Tyson’s description of Tupac . It’s eerie: He had a lot of hostility. I think it was just misguided and misdirected. It was obvious he was a genius, he was a prodigy. Whoa! He was just amazing as far as his energy was concerned. He was explosive. … His presence and his energy … the word I’m looking for is fearless. He came across as fearless. When you come across somebody that’s fearless, you’re a little bit in awe. You’re like. ‘Whoa!’ He’s ready to blow, too, at any moment; very volatile. Doesn’t that sound like someone describing Mike Tyson? Without getting too abstract over all this, we’re talking about two of the most complex and polarizing individuals of the past 20 years, both of whom seemed to send ripples through society just by sheer force of nature. Here’s Tyson recounting Tupac’s visit to him in jail: He was standing on the table, started talking. All the people in the prison started going crazy. … The white prisoners, the guards, everybody went crazy in this redneck prison. They went nuts when he came in there. … He was prolific. He was talking, having a ball. … He was very territorial. He was an interesting guy. He was different than any other rapper I had ever met from a philosophical perspective.” Really, there were layers to both men that were beyond our comprehension when they were at the height of their powers. Not until Tupac’s death in 1996 and Tyson’s fall from grace shortly thereafter did we realize just how unique they both were. Powerful, paranoid, and profane. Vilified, venerated, and vulnerable. But most of all, they were impossibly magnetic . Like no boxer or rapper that we’d seen before or since. Humans like Mike Tyson and Tupac Shakur just don’t come along very often. My less abstract reaction? People always talk about their “dream golf foursome.” One of those fun hypotheticals at dinner parties. But I defy you think of a more entertaining trio to hit the links with than these three. In 1993, Tupac Shakur, Mike Tyson, and Eazy-E. Now that would make for an entertaining trip to the country club.

Michael Douglas Sees Son Imprisonment As Blessing In Disguise

insidesocal World renowned American actor producer Michael Douglas sees son’s imprisonment as a blessing in disguise. Cameron Douglas was sentenced five years on drug charges. “My son has not been sober for this length of time since he was 13 years old,” worried Daddy Douglas told Today show, in an interview airing Monday. “So he was going to be dead or somebody was gonna kill him, and I think he has a chance to start a new life and he knows that. And from my understanding, it’s going to take that amount of time for him to rebuild and start himself afresh.” Cameron Douglas was arrested last year for allegedly dealing methamphetamine. Methamphetamine is also known as metamfetamine (INN),  dextromethamphetamine, methylamphetamine, N-methylamphetamine, desoxyephedrine, and colloquially as meth or crystal meth) is a psychoactive stimulant drug. Last month, he was sentenced to jail time for conspiring to sell crystal meth and for heroin possession. “He’s a great young man,” the elder Douglas adds. “And I wouldn’t be supporting him if I didn’t feel that way.” The Oscar winner (who is revising his famous role of Gordon Gekko in the upcoming Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps).also admits he has grappled with his own sense of responsibility. “I’ve taken blame about being a bad father – if being a bad father is working your butt off trying to create a career at one time,” he says. “When I had Cameron I was early in my career and as opposed to most jobs, making movies takes you all around the world, so you were absentee in that sense.” But these days Douglas – who has two children, Dylan, 9, and Carys, 7, with his current wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones – says his family life is much more settled. “My priorities have completely changed,” says the actor. “My marriage and my families come certainly before my career.” Michael Douglas Sees Son Imprisonment As Blessing In Disguise is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading

Guns N’ Roses Face Tour Trouble In South America

A riot erupts during an alleged scheduled private show, and another concert is canceled after a stage collapses. By James Montgomery The damaged stage where Guns N’ Roses were going to perform in Brazil on Monday Photo: Agencia Estado/AP Images Axl Rose has always had the ability to seemingly summon chaos at will — witness his apparent run-in with paparazzi at LAX late last year, any number of riots his actions (or lack thereof) touched off at Guns N’ Roses shows, or, really, anything on this list — but on GN’R’s current South American tour, things are really getting out of hand. Because now, Rose and crew are wrecking havoc even when they don’t have shows. Case in point: a reported riot at a private concert in S
