Lindsay Lohan Must Appear in Court Monday Morning

American actress, model and pop singer-songwriter Lindsay Lohan is finally back in the United States to face legal charges filed against hero. Lohan arrived in Los Angeles International Airport last Saturday evening around 7 p.m. after attending Cannes Film Festival in France. According to the actress, her passport had been stolen while in France that caused her to miss a mandatory court appearance. This paved a way for the judge issue a warrant for her arrest. Although the warrant was lifted after Lohan posted $100,000 bail, the actress must appear at a new hearing set for Monday morning, where she will likely be ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet and submit to weekly drug tests. How does Mexico treat its illegals?

By Larry Elder We can't infringe upon the right of people to move freely within our territory,” said Mexican President Vicente Fox during President George W. Bush's recent visit. Earlier, Fox said he stood by the statement he previously made to the BBC: “I dare say that in 10 years, the U.S. will be begging, will be pleading with Mexico to send it workers.” Does Mexico practice what it preaches? First, Mexico put its military and police forces on its porous, zigzagged, mountainous, crime-ridden southern border with Guatemala. Chiapas – the South Carolina-sized southern Mexican state that shares the longest border with Guatemala – is Mexico's poorest, most illiterate state. About Chiapas, one United Nations human rights commissioner said, “Mexico is one of the countries where illegal immigrants are highly vulnerable to human rights violations and become victims of degrading sexual exploitation and slavery-like practices, and are denied access to education and health care.” Typically, when Mexican authorities catch illegal aliens, they place them overnight in a detention center, then bus or fly them back to their country of origin. Despite the fact that Mexico militarized its border and deported 203,128 illegal immigrants in 2004, many illegals get through by bribing corrupt military and police. Do Mexicans appreciate the way America has allowed so many poor, Mexican illegals to enter the United States? No. According to a recent Zogby poll, 73 percent of Mexicans call Americans “racist”! When asked whether the United States' wealth comes from freedom and “plenty of opportunity to work,” 70 percent of Americans agreed, while only 22 percent of Mexicans agreed. Sixty-two percent of Mexicans said America became wealthy because “it exploits others' wealth.” While Americans, according to the poll, see Mexicans as hard-working (78 percent), Mexicans think of Americans as racist, intolerant and not very hard-working. Racist? Mexico should look in the mirror. According to the Houston Chronicle's Rachel Graves, around the turn of the 17th century, Mexico imported more African slaves than anywhere else in the New World. As a result, tens of thousands of blacks (no one knows for sure – the Mexican census does not recognize them) live in Mexico, mostly in destitute villages in its poorest states. An estimated 30,000 to 40,000 blacks live in Costa Chica. How do they fare? According to the Houston Chronicle, many are illiterate, struggling to get a decent education for their children from government schools. One Costa Chica missionary says, “The kids here are considered by their teachers to be largely unteachable.” When stopped by the police, Mexican blacks are often instructed to sing the Mexican national anthem to prove their citizenship! If so many Mexicans consider Americans racist, why do polls show that nearly half of Mexico's inhabitants say that their lives would improve if they could work here illegally? Intolerant? America legally accepts about 1 million immigrants per year, with perhaps as many as 12 million people living here illegally, about half of whom come from Mexico. Many estimate that 500,000 or more people enter the country illegally every year. California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante is Hispanic. So is the man who holds the powerful position of speaker of the California Assembly. Los Angeles, America's second-largest city, has a Hispanic mayor, and of the 54 members of California's congressional delegation, nine are Hispanic. The former governor of California once proposed granting driver's licenses to illegals. And in California, under some circumstances, an illegal alien can apply for the cheaper in-state college tuition. Many predict the Hispanic governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson, former Clinton Cabinet member, will run for president. Not very hard-working? According to the International Labor Organization, Americans work more than almost anybody in the developed world, including Japan. The average American worked 1,824 hours in 2004, compared with the Spanish at 1,799 and the French at 1,441 hours. The Dutch put in even less – working 25 percent fewer hours than Americans. President Bush, against the wishes of many in his own party as well of half of all Americans, makes the reasonable case for a guest worker program that would allow or provide some sort of legal status for those living here illegally. Latino “activists” do that cause harm by staging protests and waving the Mexican flag and demanding their “rights.” For example, Juan Jose Gutierrez of Latino Movement USA says, “We think that the right thing to do is to grant full rights, full equality, under the laws in the Constitution of the United States, to all immigrants, period.” Americans raise legitimate concerns about the competition illegals pose to unskilled labor, and that illegals cut in front of people already waiting in line to get in the country legally. Americans resent expenditures for illegals on education and health care, and problems posed by some who commit additional crime in America. Illegals' attitude of entitlement helps to explain the growing anger Americans feel toward illegal aliens. Students leaving high schools, waving Mexican flags and chanting “Si se puede” do their “cause” – no favor. http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=49620 added by: nowherefast

North Korea Vows ‘Unprecedented Nuclear Strikes’ In Latest Threat

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea's military warned South Korea and the United States on Friday of “unprecedented nuclear strikes” over a report the two countries plan to prepare for possible instability in the totalitarian country. The North routinely issues such warnings and officials in Seoul and Washington react calmly. Diplomats in South Korea and the U.S. instead have repeatedly called on Pyongyang to return to international negotiations aimed at ending its nuclear programs. “Those who seek to bring down the system in the (North), whether they play a main role or a passive role, will fall victim to the unprecedented nuclear strikes of the invincible army,” North Korea's military said in comments carried by the official Korean Central News Agency. The North, believed have enough weaponized plutonium for at least half a dozen atomic bombs, conducted its second atomic test last year, drawing tighter U.N. sanctions. Experts from South Korea, the U.S. and China will meet in China next month to share information on North Korea, assess possible contingencies in the country, and consider ways to cooperate in case of an emergency situation, South Korea's Dong-a Ilbo newspaper reported earlier this month, citing unidentified sources in Seoul and Beijing. The experts will also hold follow-up meetings in Seoul in June and in Honolulu in July, it said. The North Korean statement Friday specifically referred to the March 19 newspaper report. A spokeswoman said the South Korean Defense Ministry had no information. South Korean media have reported that Seoul has drawn up a military operations plan with the United States to cope with possible emergencies in the North. The North says the U.S. plots to topple its regime, a claim Washington has consistently denied. Last month, the North also threatened a “powerful – even nuclear – attack,” if the U.S. and South Korea went ahead with annual military drills. There was no military provocation from North Korea during the exercises. China, Japan, Russia, South Korea and the U.S. have been trying to persuade North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons in six party talks. The North quit the negotiations last year. The fate of the North's nuclear weapons has taken on added urgency since late 2008 as concerns over the health of leader Kim Jong Il have intensified. Kim, who suffered an apparent stroke in 2008, may die within three years, South Korean media have reported. His death is thought to have the potential to trigger instability and a power struggle in the North. http://news.yahoo.com/video/world-15749633/s-korea-blames-north-for-sunken-ship-… added by: onemalefla

Two activist receive $100,000 bail for non-violent protest at Massey Regional HQ

We teach our children to care for the earth. We teach them to defend their home and we say that the flag of these United States of America unifies us as a nation, that our country is their home. We teach them to take responsibility and speak out boldly against the tyranny of injustice and evil men. And them we jail them and label them as terrorists. It's just as likely that Bill Massey is a mass murderer. It is just as likely that the deaths of 29 miners in West Virginia were acts of murder funded by JPMorgan Chase in an effort to silence a growing internal resistance to Mountain Top Removal Mining or a group of miners intent on speaking out against repeated Massey Energy safety violations, the modern equivalent of burning them in a church, a longstanding tradition of West Virginia coal mine operators. A $100,000 suggests collaboration between Massey Energy and the West Virginia judicial system. It represents a war crime, an atrocity committed by felons against the children on the front lines of the Coal War. Who are we in America to stand in collusion by allowing evil men to prosper while our sons and daughters face brutal attacks for peaceful acts of courage? Who are we to sit in silent witness to the brutal murder of 29 miners and the weeping of their sons and daughters and wives and mothers? EmmaKate Martin and Benjamin Bryant are to be commended not condemned for their actions. They defended our mountains against the true eco-terrorists. They acted bravely just like we taught them to in school, to defend American soil against all enemies, foreign and domestic and we made it a crime of the highest order at a time when they should be decorated as heroes. http://itsgettinghotinhere.org/2010/05/17/two-activist-receive-100000-bail-for-n… added by: Willowguy
