Dave said phuck CT. Dave Chappelle Responds To Hecklers Tell ‘em how you really feel Dave. According to TMZ Dave Chappelle is lashing out about the people who heckled him in Hartford, CT last week … calling the crowd a bunch of “young, white alcoholics” and saying he wanted to pull a “reverse Kramer.” Chappelle took the stage at a show in Chicago last night … and immediately went off on Hartford — where he engaged in a nasty stand-off with the crowd after several loudmouthed fans heckled him during his set. “I don’t want anything bad to happen to the United States,” Chappelle said … “but if North Korea ever drops a nuclear bomb on this country, I swear to God I hope it lands in Hartford, Connecticut.” Chappelle then called the crowd “evil” … and described them as a bunch of “young, white alcoholics.” “I wanted to pull a reverse Kramer and call them all crackers or something crazy like that.” Chappelle was obviously referring to the TMZ footage of Michael Richards during his insane N-bomb tirade at the Laugh Factory back in 2006. In the end, Dave says the crowd in Hartford was lucky to see him “freak out” that night — explaining, “That s**t’s like being at a f*****g tiger show the night Sigfried and Roy got their throats bit out by the tiger … you don’t go to see somebody be safe.” Remind us to never come for Dave Chappelle. Facing pressure from multiple human rights organizations in the United States, Dunkin Donuts has apologized for an ad that ran recently in Thailand and which depicted a woman in blackface. The spot was never intended for an American audience, but featured a woman in dark makeup promoting a new chocolate-flavored menu item, along with the tagline: Break every rule of deliciousness. “We are working with our Thailand franchisee to immediately pull the ad,” the company said in a Tweet today. “DD recognizes the insensitivity of this spot.” Watch the commercial below, along with a report that covers a great deal of the U.S. criticism: Dunkin Donuts Blackface Commercial Dunkin Donuts Blackface Ad Controversy “It’s both bizarre and racist that Dunkin’ Donuts thinks that it must color a woman’s skin black and accentuate her lips with bright pink lipstick to sell a chocolate doughnut,” said Phil Robertson, the deputy Asia director for Human Rights Watch. “Dunkin’ Donuts should immediately withdraw this ad, publicly apologize to those it’s offended and ensure this never happens again.” Should Dunkin Donuts have apologized for this ad? Yes, it’s so inappropriate! No, America must chill out! View Poll »
Ann Coulter: Obama Brought Back Racism In America The wicked witch of the GOP, Ann Coulter , is once again (surprise!) discussing liberals and black folks in her new book. Via Marietta Daily Journal: Written by Ann Coulter The media’s fixation on the Trayvon Martin case, while ignoring much more brutal crimes with clearer racial motivations, is a return to pre-O.J. America. The thesis of my book, “Mugged: Racial Demagoguery From the Seventies to Obama” — out in paperback this week! — is that after decades of liberals play-acting Racist America, wherein they cast themselves as civil rights champions, and other, random white people as Bull Connor (a Democrat), it all ended with the O.J. verdict. That’s when white America said, That’s it. The white guilt bank is shut down. It was one of the best things that ever happened to America — especially for black people. But then in 2007, Barack Obama brought it all back. In order to immunize the most left-wing presidential candidate the nation has ever seen, the Non-Fox Media went into overdrive reporting their fantasies of America as a nation full of racists, constantly terrorizing innocent blacks. Of course, once Republicans got the Democrats to stop terrorizing black people, there was no one else doing it. Nonetheless, for decades, the media would highlight every apparent white-on-black crime, treating each such incident as the Crime of the Century. White-on-black crimes were, and are, freakishly rare. But the media weren’t showcasing these one-off events as man-bites-dog stories, but rather as dog-bites-man stories in a universe brimming with packs of rabid dogs. According to liberals, whites attacking blacks was an epidemic — a nationwide “cancer,” in the words of erstwhile NYC Mayor Ed Koch. n 1986, only 2.6 percent of all homicides in the entire country were white-on-black killings. Black criminals killed nearly three times as many white people (949) as whites killed blacks (378) and they killed 16 times as many black people (6,235) as whites did. So if you’re confused by the blanket coverage of the Trayvon Martin case — attracting even the attention of the president of the United States! — while far more common and more vicious black-on-white murders are ignored, try to understand that liberals are frightened by change. They are desperately clinging to a world that never existed. Their fantasy of an America bristling with racists allows them to portray any criticism of our massively incompetent and dangerous president as just another sad episode of oh-so-typical white racism. They have to protect Obama, so the rest of us have to get “Mugged.” Discuss… WENN
Merrill Lynch Ordered To Pay $160 Million To Black Brokers In Lawsuit Settlement 700 African-American brokers who filed a racial bias lawsuit against Wall Street brokerage firm giant Merrill Lynch after learning that many of their clients were likely to prefer to deal only with white brokers, among other racially biased things, will be awarded $160 million in settlement funds. via NY Times Merrill Lynch, one of the biggest brokerage firms on Wall Street, has agreed to pay $160 million to settle a racial bias lawsuit that wound through the federal courts for eight years, including two appeals to the United States Supreme Court. When the suit was first filed in 2005, only about one of every 75 brokers at Merrill was black and most of them were considered poor producers. The lead plaintiff, George McReynolds, contended that black brokers received little help from their managers early on and were often ostracized by co-workers. The unequal treatment compounded their disadvantages year after year, he contended. Among the many twists in the case was the admission in a deposition by Merrill’s first black chief executive, E. Stanley O’Neal, that black brokers might have a harder time because most of the firm’s prospective clients were white and might not trust their wealth to brokers who were not. The payout in the suit, which was filed on behalf of 700 black brokers who worked for Merrill, would be the largest sum ever distributed to plaintiffs in a racial discrimination suit against an American employer. From the sounds of things, these brokers were given some much deserved justice. Good for them
In 1912, eighth grade students were quizzed HARD on reading proficiency, arithmetic, grammar, geography, physiology, civil government and history. In 2013 … well, it’s not quite the same. An eighth grade “Common Exam” from 1912 was just donated to the Bullitt County (Ky.) History Museum, and is available in full on their website. The site explains, “It should not be used to compare student knowledge then and now.” A good thing, too, for the self-esteem of those in the “now.” The site says students assembled to take this test once or twice a year and it was a very serious deal, with high school scholarships at stake. Would you earn one? Check out a sampling of questions from some of the categories below and see what a 1921 eighth grade exam consisted of: Arithmetic Write in words the following: .5764; .000003; .123416; 653.0965; 43.37. Find cost at 12 ½ cents per sq. yd. of kalsomining the walls of a room 20 ft. long, 16 ft. wide and 9 ft. high, deducting 1 door 8 ft. by 4 ft. 6 in. and 2 windows 5 ft. by 3 ft. 6 in. each. How long of a rope is required to reach from the top of a building 40 ft. high, to the ground 30 ft. from the base of the building? Grammar How many parts of speech are there? Define each. What properties have verbs? Diagram: The Lord loveth a cheerful giver. Geography Define longitude and latitude. Name and give the capital of States touching the Ohio River. Civil Government Name five county officers, and the principal duties of each. Name three rights given to Congress by the Constitution and two rights denied to Congress. Describe the manner in which the president and vice-president of the United States are elected. You can see the answers at Bullitt County’s website, but the answer to the question of whether 1912 tests were harder than today’s doesn’t need looking up.

40% Of White Americans Do Not Have Friends Of Other Races And the same goes for 25% on non-white Americans …. Via Reuters UK: About 40 percent of white Americans and about 25 percent of non-white Americans are surrounded exclusively by friends of their own race, according to an ongoing Reuters/Ipsos poll. The figures highlight how segregated the United States remains in the wake of a debate on race sparked by last month’s acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting of unarmed black Florida teenager Trayvon Martin. President Barack Obama weighed in after the verdict, calling for Americans to do some “soul searching” on whether they harbor racial prejudice. There are regions and groups where mixing with people of other races is more common, especially in the Hispanic community where only a tenth do not have friends of a different race. About half of Hispanics who have a spouse or partner are in a relationship with non-Hispanics, compared to one tenth of whites and blacks in relationships. Looking at a broader circle of acquaintances to include coworkers as well as friends and relatives, 30 percent of Americans are not mixing with others of a different race, the poll showed. Respondent Kevin Shaw, 49, has experienced both integration and racial homogeny. He grew up in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, and attended a mixed high school where he was one of only two white teenagers on the mostly black football team. His wife, Bobbi, is Hispanic. They met in high school and have been married for 27 years. Eleven years ago, they moved to a predominantly white neighborhood in the suburb of Liberty. “Soon after we moved in, my mother-in-law came to visit and a neighbor asked if she was my maid. It was just a matter of ignorance,” he said. In the time he has lived there the neighborhood has become less blinkered, helped by the arrival of younger families. In his comments two weeks ago, President Obama expressed optimism about the future, saying his daughters’ experiences show younger generations have fewer issues with race. “It doesn’t mean we’re in a post-racial society. It doesn’t mean that racism is eliminated. But…they’re better than we are, they’re better than we were, on these issues,” he said. Younger American adults appear to confirm this, according to the poll. About one third of Americans under the age of 30 who have a partner or spouse are in a relationship with someone of a different race, compared to one tenth of Americans over 30. And only one in 10 adults under 30 say no one among their families, friends or coworkers is of a different race, less than half the rate for Americans as a whole. These results were taken from the ongoing Reuters/Ipsos online poll and include the responses of 4,170 Americans between July 24th and August 6th. The credibility interval, a measure of precision, for these results is plus or minus about 2.7 percentage points for a five-day average on any given day during that period. Smaller subsets of the poll, such as blacks, Hispanics and adults under 30, have a credibility interval for that period ranging from about 3 percentage points to 11 percentage points. The race and ethnicity questions in this story are part a polling project that started in January 2012, surveying about 11,000 people a month since then. More information on the these questions and hundreds of others asked since the poll began can be found at polling.reuters.com/ Thoughts on this??? Do you have friends of other races?? Shutterstock
Where in the United States will Wednesday’s Powerball winning numbers, and the estimated $425 million jackpot they could result in, be drawn? Only time will tell, but data shows certain areas produce more winners. Of the 43 states that participate in the Powerball, some appear luckier than others. Pennsylvania has had 16 winners in its history to lead the pack. The next luckiest state is Indiana with 11, while New Jersey brings up the rear with just three jackpot wins. The biggest winner of all time lives in Florida. Besides move to the Keystone State in the next few hours, what else can a Powerball player do to beat (or at least marginally improve) the odds? Richard Lustig, seven-time lottery grand prize winner and author of “Learn How To Increase Your Chances of Winning The Lottery,” offers more tips . “The lazy way out is to buy quick-picks. The computer picks out the numbers. Don’t play quick-picks. Quick-picks are the worst thing you can do.” With those, “you are playing with the worst odds,” said Lustig. More tickets may also result in a greater win percentage. The AP reports that more smaller prizes of $1-2 million and under have been issued since a major overhaul of the Powerball game in January 2012. The big question, though? Despite difficult odds of one in 175 million, how you would like to receive the jackpot when – not if – you win it tonight? You can take it in 30 annual payments, valued at $425 million, or you can ask for the lump sum of $244.7 million after taxes. Just something to mull over. Powerball Jackpot Climbs Past $425M
