‘True Blood,’ ‘Vampire Diaries’ Stars Get A Supernatural Intervention

‘Teen Wolf’ star Tyler Hoechlin also joins ‘After Hours’ Actors Anonymous group, before MTV Movie Awards. By Terri Schwartz Candice Accola and Joe Manganiello Photo: MTV News “Sometimes I look out the window, and I realize that it’s not going to end well for me. I’m Joe Manganiello, and I’m obsessed with playing werewolves.” And thus starts our special MTV Movie Awards -edition “After Hours,” starring some of our favorite stars from “True Blood,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Teen Wolf.” We always knew there was something a little funny about the actors who love playing supernatural beings over and over and over again, but we didn’t realize how deep the addiction ran. Fortunately, MTV News’ Josh Horowitz put together a very official (and certainly not made-up) support group called Actors Anonymous to help them get through these trying times in their lives. For Manganiello, his obsession manifests in his “monster” coming out. And yes, he is referring to his penis. “The Vampire Diaries” star Candice Accola can “totally relate,” as she recently went to an audition for a Zac Efron romantic comedy wearing some fangs and a cape. But it’s “True Blood” actress Kristin Bauer who has us the most worried. “Why can’t I drink human blood?” she asked indignantly. “Who says that’s so ‘wrong’?” “I love blood,” Manganiello agreed. “It’s good with scotch,” “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Hoechlin added. We’re pretty sure these stars should have a support group just for the belief that there’s not “one thing wrong” with drinking blood. Unfortunately, we don’t provide those services here at MTV, so we’ll just have to let them run wild. If you’ve noticed that many actors who play werewolves tend to get very, very hairy during filming, apparently it just comes with the territory. Hoechlin and Manganiello both admitted to having the same affliction. Maybe Brad Pitt has been preparing for a werewolf role for a while now? The Movie Awards are going to be “After Hours” mania, so make sure you stay tuned to the for some fun surprises. Black Keys: Best Kiss Experts At The Movie Awards?

‘I’m so worried about how we’re going to vote for Best Kiss,’ Patrick Carney jokes to MTV News before tonight’s performance. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Black Keys Photo: MTV News UNIVERSAL CITY, California — The Black Keys will put “Gold on the Ceiling” when they take the stage at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards tonight. So what should fans of the Ohio rockers expect when they storm the show? “Well, without spoiling it,” Dan Auerbach teased MTV News during rehearsals at the Gibson Amphitheatre in L.A. But, unfortunately for fans, MTV News had to censor his answer so we wouldn’t ruin the big surprise. In addition to performing, the guys will also get to chill out with some of the biggest stars on the planet, a concept Patrick Carney said really puts him at ease. “We feel really comfortable in these environments,” he joked. “You might not know this, but we were child stars.” While the performance should make some headlines, so will whichever lucky couple nabs the highly coveted Best Kiss prize. When asked if they would be voting for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s smooch in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” the guys didn’t yet know which make-out session deserved their vote. “I’m so worried about how we’re going to vote for Best Kiss,” Carney teased. To see what the guys weren’t allowed to tell you, you’ll have to tune in to the big show tonight, which will also feature performances from Fun. , Martin Solveig and Wiz Khalifa . It all goes down at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to cast your vote for Best Hero and Best Movie now! Wiz Khalifa Promises ‘Theatrical’ Set At Tonight’s Movie Awards

‘My show is evolving … so it’s going to be more themed,’ Wiz teases. Tune in tonight at 9 p.m. ET on MTV! By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News Spielberg, if you’re watching on Sunday (June 3), you might want to keep an eye on Wiz Khalifa . The Taylor Gang captain is set to take the stage at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards where he’ll perform his new single “Work Hard, Play Hard” . And while Wiz will show off his musical talents, Hollywood may also get a glimpse of his acting chops. “My show is evolving and everything that I’m doing, so it’s going to be more themed,” Wiz told MTV News’ Sway Calloway after his rehearsal at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. “It’s for the Movie [Awards], so it’s going to be more theatrical. … People are going to see that side of it as well as me performing and giving my energy.” Khalifa has already done some on-camera work. Last, year he and Snoop Dogg shot their upcoming stoner comedy “Mac & Devin Go to High School.” It was Wiz’s first acting gig, but by the time the movie wrapped, the Pittsburgh MC could see his own progress.” I had to do makeup every day to cover my tattoos. I had to spray my hair to get the blond out, but it was cool. It was an experience, and it was really, really fun to be a novice at acting, be brand-new and then have to learn,” Khalifa told us last December. “I watched the movie, and I can actually see myself getting better in the movie.” For now, however, Wiz seems mostly focused on the music. On August 28, he’s scheduled to drop his sophomore album, O.N.I.F.C. (Only N—a in First Class), and fans will get to hear him perform the LP’s first single on Sunday night during the big show. Of course, tonight’s “theatrical” set should build anticipation for the upcoming album and, if it helps Wiz land a new acting gig or two, he’d welcome the opportunity. “That would be tight,” he said with his signature Khalifa cackle. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Malin Akerman Photo: MTV News UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Malin Akerman got the chance to flex her rock muscle in the soon-to-be-released “Rock of Ages,” but she didn’t leave those rocker roots on the set of the Adam Shankman-directed flick. She’s getting ready to play legendary Blondie frontwoman and rock icon, Debbie Harry in the flick “CBGB.” “I actually don’t know if we’re going to sing or lip-sync yet,” Akerman told MTV News during Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week on Friday night, where she was promoting “Rock of Ages.” “It’s a movie about [New York rock club] CBGBs, so it’s all the artists that came through there, that were born there.” Describing the film as “phenomenal,” she added that she is truly looking forward to bringing Harry to life in the Randall Miller-directed flick, which will also feature “Harry Potter” stars Rupert Grint and Alan Rickman. “I love Debbie Harry,” she gushed. ‘Hunger Games’ Star Slings Arrows At Movie Awards Rival ‘Twilight’

‘Harry Potter’ also earns Leven Rambin’s wrath: ‘That’s so seven years ago.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Eric Ditzian Leven Rambin Photo: MTV News “The Hunger Games” has some stiff competition at Sunday’s 2012 MTV Movie Awards , especially in two major categories: Movie of the Year and Best Cast . Surely the cast of the splashy big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ novel fully understands warfare, which is why when MTV News recently spoke to Leven Rambin — who plays the ill-fated Glimmer in “Hunger Games” — she had some feisty fighting words for those other casts. Well, for all the films except one notable exception. “I think it’s a close tie between ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘Bridesmaids,’ and I would not be offended if ‘Bridesmaids’ won, ’cause, frankly, they’re my favorite cast of any movie I’ve ever seen ever,” she dished. “I think it’s neck-and-neck.” Of course, she had less-than-kind things to say about some of those other nominated films. ” ‘Harry Potter’? That’s so seven years ago,” she said. “So I think ‘The Hunger Games’ is the hot new kids on the block.” And she wasn’t shy to brush off “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” another major movie franchise vying for the Golden Popcorn when the show goes live this Sunday (June 3). “What? What’s that? ‘Breaking’ who?” she sassed. In the Movie of the Year category, Rambin and the other Tributes face off against “Bridesmaids,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2,” “The Help” and “Breaking Dawn – Part 1”. Meanwhile, in the Best Cast competition, “The Hunger Games” will take on “Bridesmaids,” “Deathly Hallows, Part 2,” “21 Jump Street” and “The Help.” Want to know who will win? Well, the 2012 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Russell Brand and feature performances from Fun. , The Black Keys, Martin Solveig and Wiz Khalifa . Snooki And JWoww On Movie Awards Men: Hot Or Not?

‘Jersey Shore’ stars have soft spot for Channing Tatum, up for Best Male Performance at Sunday night’s show. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Vaughn Schoonmaker JWoww and Snooki Photo: MTV News “Jersey Shore” stars Snooki and JWoww certainly have strong opinions about the contenders in the Best Male Performance category at Sunday’s 2012 MTV Movie Awards . When the rowdy pair sat down with MTV News recently, they weighed in on the five equally fine guys duking it out at the show. And they’ve offered up some colorful commentary about some of the nominees. Regarding Daniel Radcliffe, who is up for his work in the last “Harry Potter” flick, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2,” JWoww said, “He’s Harry — not literally.” Meanwhile, Snooki added, “He looks like he can party.” As for Ryan Gosling, nominated for his work in “Drive,” JWoww said, “Ryan Gosling’s supposed to be, like, the hottest male ever, right?” The ladies had even warmer feelings for “The Vow” star Channing Tatum. Snooki could barely form together a complete sentence when it came to describing his beefiness. She said, “Channing Tatum, ‘The Vow,’ he was really hot.” Mirroring the mama-to-be’s sentiments, JWoww added, “I’d have sex with him.” As for Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Josh Hutcherson, well, the two ladies were a bit out of the know about those guys. Perhaps they should bone up on their knowledge of them a bit more before Sunday’s show since one of them just might win. One of these guys will take home the prize in the Best Male Performance category at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards taking place this weekend. The show will be hosted by Russell Brand and will feature performances from Fun. , the Black Keys, Martin Solveig and Wiz Khalifa . Exclusive: Channing Tatum Takes It Off In ‘Magic Mike’ Clip

Steamy teaser debuted Thursday night during Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week. By Jocelyn Vena Channing Tatum in “Magic Mike” Photo: Warner Bros. Channing Tatum , along with co-stars Matt Bomer and Alex Pettyfer, get their groove on to “It’s Raining Men” in a brand-new, exclusive clip from “Magic Mike,” which we premiered Thursday night (May 31) as part of Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week. Tatum not only debuted the teaser, he also sat down with MTV News’ own Josh Horowitz and dished on playing the title character. The Steven Soderbergh-directed flick opens June 29 and goes inside the world of hard-bodied male strippers. In the clip, the guys are decked out in raincoats as they dance with umbrellas. The fellas shake, shimmy and, of course, strip — actually they tear off their clothes — to the iconic disco tune. But the highlight of the scene is probably when Tatum gets his dirty dancing on and humps the stage while the club’s female patrons swoon and scream. But that’s not it for Sneak Peek Week: On Friday night, Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta will join us for a chat about the big-screen adaptation of “Rock of Ages,” which also stars Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta-Jones and more. Check back in at 11 p.m. ET Friday for our live Q&A with the actors. Fans can get in on the action on Twitter using the hash tag #MTVSneak or by tweeting your favorite movie-related drawings from OMGPOP’s “Draw Something” app to @ MTVNews . Rihanna, Radiohead Pick Up O Music Award Nominations

After fans submitted new nominees, RiRi and Radiohead are in the running for O Music Awards, which stream live on June 27. By James Montgomery Rihanna Photo: Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images/DCP The O Music Awards have always been the least traditional awards show. And as if this year’s edition — which will stream live online on June 27 over the course of 24 hours … aboard a bus with the Flaming Lips behind the wheel — wasn’t already proof of that point, well, try this on for size. Thanks to fan suggestions, the O Music Awards have expanded their list of nominees, meaning that acts like Rihanna and Radiohead have picked up nods, and 30 Seconds to Mars are now tied with the Lips, Taylor Swift, Tanlines and MC Hammer (!) as the event’s most-nominated act. RiRi picked up a nom in the ( very prestigious)Best Artist With a Cameraphone category — she’s up against the likes of Justin Bieber and Kreayshawn — while Radiohead are now up for the Digital Genius Award, facing off against Gorillaz, iamamiwhoami and OK Go (to name just a few). 30 STM earned a nod for Best Online Concert Experience, which, when coupled with their Fan Army FTW nomination, means they’ll head into the awards show with a total of two noms. So far, more than 2.7 million votes have been cast in all the O Music Award categories. For a full list of nominees and to vote for your faves — including Nicki Minaj and One Direction — in each category, check out the show’s official site . The O Music Awards will stream live at OMusicAwards.com on June 27, when the Flaming Lips will board the Magical Mystery Merry Prankster Bus and attempt to break Jay-Z’s record for playing the most concerts in one 24-hour period.
