Jeff Hanneman Dies; Slayer Guitarist Was 49

Jeff Hanneman of the thrash metal band Slayer has died. He was just 49. The monstrous guitar player died of liver failure, according to reports. The punk rock-influenced thrash-metal legend and fellow guitarist Kerry King formed Slayer when both were auditioning for the same band in 1981. Instead, they decided to start their own, to widespread success. Slayer’s sales neared 30 million albums worldwide, and they were often called one of the “big four” in metal alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax. Hanneman is survived by wife Kathy, a sister and two brothers. R.I.P.

I don’t watch the “Bachelorette” but finally they have a girl who not only has a great stripper name, she’s cute too. Meet Desiree Hartsock and she’s the unlucky girl who’s going to choose some douchebag who will eventually cheat on her (cause she has small boobs), they’ll break up, and then for some reason he will end up as the next “Bachelor”. Sorry to ruin it for you ladies, but I just saved your boyfriends weeks of having to listen to you talk about this crap.

Of Course the Japanese Species is Jam-Packed with Tentacles [VIDEO]

It might not be immediately obvious, what with all the schoolgirl uniforms, but the trailer you’re about to see is for the upcoming Japanese flick Tokyo Species , starring AV (that’s Japanese for “porn”) starlet Maria Ozawa in the femme fatale role originally played by Natasha Henstridge in Species (1995). The trailer doesn’t have subtitles, but they’re not really necessary: girl attempts suicide, alien sex monster takes over girl’s body, girl bares boobs repeatedly while dispatching her unlucky suitors in gruesome fashion. The difference? The aforementioned schoolgirl skirts… oh, and this one packs more tentacles in the trailer than in the entire 1995 original. What is with the Japanese and tentacles, anyway? Who Was Sent Home on American Idol?

Following performances by Adam Lambert and Diddy Dirty Money, the first American Idol finalist received the news he/she was fearful to hear tonight: it was time to go home. Who would the unlucky contestant be? Ashthon Jones, who sung Diana Ross one more time for the judges in an attempt to stave off elimination. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be, as Jennifer Lopez broke the news to the hopeful: “Not this time, baby, I’m sorry. And it was unanimous.” Jones proceeded to break down in tears and was comforted by her fellow finalists as the credits rolled. Did Ashthon Jones deserve to be eliminated this week?
