Download the Poptropica Cheats for Mythology online for free now Poptropica is a massively multiplayer online game and virtual world, targeted at children ages 6 to 15, where players can travel, play games, compete in head-to-head competition, and communicate safely with each other. There is a role-playing component as players are encouraged to finish “island missions” and get medallions. Poptropica was developed by the Family Education Network, a division of Pearson, which also owns kids’ site FunBrain.com. Poptropica has an Alexa Internet rating of 2,166. Its official launch date was in September 2007. It now has over 75 million registered users and about 35 million of these are in the 15-25 age group. When players first arrive at Poptropica, they are given a character avatar they can either customize immediately, or modify while playing. Such modifications include changing hair color, clothes, hair style, and skin color. On May 30, 2009, Poptropica began selling “Poptropica credits” online. The credits are used to “buy” costumes that cannot be costumized and special abililties such as the ability to change the player’s character’s hair or skin color quickly. Credits can also be earned through the completion of different islands. Once a player enters Poptropica, he chooses an island to explore; as noted before, each island has a central mission. To travel between islands, the user boards a blimp with the Poptropica logo, which shuttles between the Main Streets of the various islands. Early Poptropica was the first island created for Poptropica. 24 Carrot Island is the fourth island released on Poptropica. The Poptropicans on 24 Carrot Island are in trouble. Someone has stolen all their carrots, citizens are disappearing, and the economy, which appears to be based on carrots, is in ruins. Super Power Island is the fifth Island released for Poptropica. A giant radioactive meteor has crashed into Super Power Island’s county prison, freeing six criminals and giving them super powers. Now they are wreaking havoc on the island, committing various crimes. The player must defeat five villains using wits alone, and earn the power to fly (only on Super Power Island). The final villain, Betty Jetty, can only be defeated by flying after her. The island was opened on July 26, 2008. Spy Island is the sixth island released for Poptropica. In this plot, a new threat to the residents of Poptropica has been discovered by Poptropica’s top three spies, but the spies have been captured by an evil group called B.A.D. The island was opened on September 10, 2008. Choose Your Own Adventure: Nabooti Island was the seventh island released on Poptropica. This island was made in conjunction with the publishers of Choose Your Own Adventure books. The Nabooti tribe is looking for five missing jewels from the mysterious Nabooti totem. The player flies to various locales across Africa to find the jewels and return them. The island was opened on December 10, 2008. Reality TV Island is the eleventh island released on Poptropica and is based on the hit reality TV show Survivor. The player has to compete in challenges against seven other (game-operated) characters, to avoid being “voted off” the island. The island was released to Poptropica monthly members on February 24, 2010 and was open to the public on March 24, 2010. Opera Mini iPhone Approved by iPhone

Opera Mini iPhone Approved by iPhone – This is the latest news about the newest trends in technology. According to Opera Software, Apple on Monday approved Opera Mini, the first alternative Web browser for its iPhone. According to a release put out by browser maker Opera earlier today, the company’s free Opera Mini browser for the iPhone and iPod touch family of devices has been approved by Apple and should appear in the App Store within 24 hours. Opera Mini is optimized to work on slower data connections and could prove valuable to iPhone users that spend time in areas without 3G coverage. It will help iPhone users most where the AT&T network is most congested, in places like New York and San Francisco. As Daring Fireball’s John Gruber pointed out, though, Opera Mini doesn’t actually render Web pages. That’s done on Opera’s servers; rather, Opera Mini renders a boiled-down, compressed markup language called OBML, making Opera Mini in some technical ways closer to a PDF reader than to a Web browser. Here’s the full press release: Opera today announced its popular mobile browser, Opera Mini has been approved for iPhone and iPod touch on the App Store. Opera Mini will be available as a free download within 24 hours, depending on market. Opera Mini, with more than 50 million users worldwide, enables fast mobile Web browsing by compressing data by up to 90 percent before sending content to the device, resulting in significantly improved page loading. Users of the app will notice an uptake in speed, especially on slower networks such as the 2G Edge network. Surfing the Web with the Opera Mini App on iPhone and iPod touch will also help users save money because of its data compression capabilities. This will hold especially true while the user is incurring roaming charges. “We are delighted to offer iPhone and iPod touch users a great browsing experience with the Opera Mini App,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “This app is another step toward Opera’s goal of bringing the Web to more people in more places.” Opera Mini iPhone Approved by iPhone is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading

iPhone OS 4.0 Coming This Summer, Includes Multitasking

Apple has confirmed what we all suspected: multitasking is coming to the finally confirmed iPhone OS 4.0 upgrade. The upgrade itself won’t be available for consumers until sometime this summer (Apple CEO Steve Jobs did not get more specific than that), but Apple claims their long-coming implementation of multitasking is “gonna be the best.” Jobs demonstrated multitasking on the iPhone, but it’s expected for iPod Touch and iPad, too. Essentially, when a user double clicks the home button, it pulls up a dock-like interface (very similar to what you’d see in a normal OS X session) that allows the user to swap between applications that are running. Jobs showed a user jumping from a URL in an e-mail to Safari, double clicking the home button, pulling up the apps that are running — in this case Safari, Mail, ESPN and Tap Tap Revenge — and simply clicking Mail to return to the e-mail account. The company claims their solution to multitasking avoids the common issue with adding multitasking to device: sluggish performance of the device and a rapidly draining battery. How much that claim holds up won’t be known for a few months yet. Have something to share? Sitting on a news tip? E-mail me . You can also follow me on Twitter . iPad: Apple’s Slate Computer

The iPad is a portable slate computer with a touch-sensitive screen and has no keyboard. Other companies like HP are working on slate computers, which are very useful for reading and watching videos. However, the Amazon Kindle has an easy-on-the-eyes-display. Just like these amazing gadgets, some people still figure out whether they still need a new touch-screen computer from Apple. Here are some answers to the common questions about the iPad, which is an Apple’s much-awaited “slate” computer. 1. What is the difference of an iPad from a laptop? The Apple iPad belongs to the slate or tablet category of portable personal computers however it is different from laptop because it doesn’t have a hardware keyboard. iPad has a touch-sensitive screen to type and to navigate the files and photos. 2. What is the difference of an iPad from an e-reader? The iPad serves like an e-reader and a personal computer as well, but there are some remarkable differences between the two. First, the iPad has a color display while the Kindle is only black-and-white. Second, the iPad displays books horizontally, with two pages showing, or it could be viewed vertically, zooming in on a single page of text; while the Kindle only works in vertical mode. Third is the access of books from different online bookstore. iPad users can purchase books from iBookstore, Apple’s new digital bookstore, which supports an open e-book format called ePub; while Kindle users are required to buy books from Amazon.com 3. If there’s no keyboard, how can you type on the iPad? The iPad’s keyboard is a graphic that pops up on the device’s touch-sensitive screen. The iPad keyboard is just about the same size as the one on the desktop. 4. What does iPad do best? The iPad is appropriately designed for providing various types of media such as reading books, browsing the Web and watching videos, and a gaming device too. Although it doesn’t have a DVD player, the user can download videos from Apple, or even stream from the Web. 5. What are the physical features of iPad? The iPad is a half-inch thick and weighs about 1 and half pounds. Its screen is 9.7 inches across. iPad: Apple’s Slate Computer is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading

Microsoft’s Project Natal Built On PrimeSense Motion Technology

Microsoft announced today that 3D motion technology firm PrimeSense contributed an “important component” for Microsoft’s Project Natal motion control system. “The engagement with Xbox 360 establishes PrimeSense’s position as a leading supplier of 3D-sensing technology,” PrimeSense chief executive officer Inon Beracha said in a statement to the press today. “We are especially honored to have a partner like Microsoft who share our vision for bringing innovative and engaging natural experiences to consumers.” It isn’t clear exactly how much of PrimeSense’s own tech was used in the development of Natal, however according to PrimeSense president and founder Aviad Maizels, “Xbox 360 Hardware Engineering teams developed the ‘Project Natal’ sensor based on the PrimeSensor reference design to support the special requirements” of Natal. Considering this PrimeSense’s demo reel features a couple browsing movies with hand gestures — a scene later mirrored almost exactly in Natal’s E3 2009 promotional video (skip to 3:10) — it appears that PrimeSense’s role has been largely concentrated on the user interface/dashboard control aspect of Natal, as opposed to game integration. But then again, Microsoft has yet to share those details, so nothing is known for sure. Should the need arise, feel free to E-Mail me your tips, suggestions, and/or personal philosophies, or follow me on Twitter .
