Brock Turner, Convicted Rapist, Registers as Sex Offender

Yes, by now, you likely know who Brock Turner is. You probably didn’t need us to write in the above headline that he’s a “convicted rapist.” Except far too many media outlets seemed to bury this lede when reporting on Brock Turner getting out of jail last week. They wrote that “Former Stanford Swimmer Brock Turner…” was now out of prison or some similar nonsense. So we just want to make it clear here: Yes, Brock Turner once swam for Stanford University. But that fact only matters to the shady judge who gave him a lenient sentence. Brock Turner is only generating headlines these days because he is a rapist. He was convicted on three felony counts of sexual assault against an unconscious woman. Brock Turner Released from Prison, Surrounded by Media Okay, thank you for indulging us. We had to get that out of our system. Turner was somehow sentenced to only six months in prison for his heinous act, which took place in January of last year and which involved him inserting his figures in a woman lying on the street outside a party. He was caught by a couple of fellow students and ran away as quickly as he could at the time. Fortunately, one of those students caught up to Turner and tackled him to the ground. He was eventually arrested and convicted of rape, only for his father to argue in court that his son did not deserve any jail time for a mere “20 minutes of action.” The judge incredibly agreed with this assessment, going against the prosecutors’ recommendation and sentencing Turner to six months behind bars, which was reduced to three months due to good behavior. Turner is now a free man. But he will at least have an official stigma attached to his name forever. As you can see below, Turner registered on Tuesday morning in Greene County, Ohio as a sex offender. This registration, along with drug and alcohol counseling, was part of Turner’s legal “punishment.” We have to put that word in quotation marks because it’s abhorrent just how easy to judge went on Turner. In response to the light sentencing, Turner’s unnamed victim read a moving letter to her rapist in court. It was then read on CNN by anchor Ashleigh Banfield, who fought off tears as she made public the words of this brave young woman. Ashleigh Banfield Reads Full Statement by Stanford Rape Victim on Air It’s well worth your time to watch the video above. Yes, it will make you even angrier over the Brock Turner sentencing . But it will hopefully comfort you in the knowledge that his victim seems like the sort of woman who will recover from his act and maybe even use her horrible history to help others. Brock Turner is a rapist. Brock Turner is a rapist. Brock Turner is a rapist. Sorry. Just had to make sure we said that a few more times.

Dani Mathers: Facing Charges For Body-Shaming Gym Pic?

Back in July, former Playmate of the Year Dani Mathers thought it would be funny to take a Snapchat of a naked woman at her LA Fitness gym, and share it. The caption, which read “If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either,” shamed the fellow gym patron and set off a firestorm that saw Mathers not only banned from a ll LA Fitness locations, but fired from her gig on KLOS’s Heidi & Frank morning show. “Her behavior is appalling and puts every member at risk of losing their privacy,” LA Fitness EVP of operations Jill Greuling told the Los Angeles Times. “Our written rules are very clear: Cellphone usage and photography are prohibited in the locker rooms.” Now, TMZ has learned that the LAPD has located the victim in the photo – described as a woman in her 70’s – who is ready to fully cooperate with the case, which includes testify against Mathers. The charge, if issued, is Dissemination of Private Images, which is reportedly a misdemeanor which could carry a 6-month jail sentence. LAPD officers want to make an example of Mathers, whom they believe tried to shame someone who was trying to better herself. As for Mathers, who was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Year in 2015, she issued an apology on Snapchat soon after the incident. “I just want to acknowledge a photo that I accidentally posted. It was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do,” the 29-year-old said in the video. “I chose to do what I do for a living because I love the female body and I know body shaming is wrong, that’s not what I’m about and this is not the type of person I am. “The photo was taken as part of a personal conversation with a girlfriend and because I am new to Snapchat I didn’t realize I had posted it, and that was a huge mistake. “I know I have upset a lot of people out there but please believe me this is not the type of person that I am. “I have never done this before and I will never do this again, you have my word.” Users on social media didn’t believe Mathers apology, accusing her of only being sorry because she got caught.   Even former Girls Next Door star, Kendra Wilkinson told TMZ that Mathers’ decision was a “stupid f–king choice,” and refused to even defend the Playmate. “That’s a huge mistake. No one should be taking pictures of anybody who they don’t know,” Wilkinson said. “And if it’s in the privacy of a gym … That’s why I don’t change at a gym, because I get scared of that.” Mathers thought issuing yet another mea culpa (in addition to her Snapchat video) would somehow win her a few points. “I’m sorry for what I did,” she wrote on Twitter.  “I need to take some time to myself now to reflect on why I did this horrible thing. Goodnight.” View Slideshow: 27 Stars Who Shamed Their Body-Shamers

Katt Williams Says “Three-Dollar P**** B*tch” Can’t Sue Him Over Kidnapping & Beating Her…Because He Already Paid Up

Katt Williams’ Assault And Kidnapping Suit Thrown Out Turns out the comedienne that Katt Williams allegedly slapped up and insulted on tour is being a little greedy. Katt’s lawyers had to tap her on the shoulder and remind her that she’s already been paid for her troubles and is going to need to drop her new case — or else. Via TMZ : Katt Williams is the victim of a serious double-dipper — that’s his reaction to a comedian suing him over an alleged beatdown, because he says he’s already forked over a settlement. TMZ broke the story … Ashima Franklin filed a lawsuit, saying Katt attacked and kidnapped her, but sources close to Katt say her suit is just a repeat of claims she made months ago. We’re told Ashima accepted a “small amount” of cash to squash the drama, and even signed a settlement agreement. Apparently, her lawyer didn’t get that memo … and went ahead and filed a $3 million lawsuit for her. Obviously, Katt’s attorneys sent Ashima’s lawyer the previous agreement, so she’s dismissed the suit. WELP. If she took the small amount she can’t go seeking more after finding out Katt has some batsh*t crazy tendencies. But in the meantime…he may want to look into maybe NOT beating up, imprisoning, or kidnapping people he comes across anymore… Instagram

Milo Yiannopoulos on Leslie Jones Nude Pic Hack, Racist Trolling: Doing God’s Work Over Here!

Leslie Jones’ nude photo hacker is not only not sorry for what he did, he’s giving himself mad props for trolling and sabotaging the actress. In fact, he believes he’s doing God’s work! Between Saturday Night Live and Ghostbusters, and her viral stardom on Twitter and Snapchat, Jones was “slaying all day” in 2016. Until the wheels fell off earlier this summer. A notorious Internet troll, Milo Yiannopoulos, went after her hard, then harder, in a brutal Twitter trolling effort that gained global attention. Then, in the aftermath, someone hacked her personal website and published Leslie Jones nude photos to the world – and a lot more. Her passport information and her driver’s license were stolen in the hack, which also followed Milo’s  vicious trolling spree on Twitter . Just a day in the life for Milo Yiannopoulos . “Trolling is very important,” Yiannopoulos told ABC’s Nightline . “I like to think of myself as a virtuous troll, you know? I’m doing God’s work.” When Jones said how upset she was over the bullying she’d endured, Yiannopoulos told the news show that she’s playing the victim. “This idea that celebrities are these fragile wallflowers … that the stars of Hollywood blockbusters are sitting at home crying into their iPhones.”  “Give me a break,” he said.  Yiannopoulos says he has beef with the “body positive” movement , feminism in general and other stars like Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer: “It is insisted upon us that we all pay obeisance to the cult of Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer that they put them on the cover of the magazines.” He has since been banned from Twitter thanks to Jones’ efforts, but he “would like my account back” so he can resume what he does. Good luck with that. Jones, who has gone quiet since the nude photo hack, initially fought back online by exposing some of the hateful tweets she received. “It’s not called a meltdown when [you’re] defining yourself. Pay attention,” she wrote to one prominent Twitter hater before she added: “So sad, these people have mothers and sisters and aunts. So f–king sickening … you won’t believe the evil. It’s f–king scary.” After pointing out some of the cruel comments, Jones scored a win when she was able to get Twitter to permanently suspend accounts. Alas, it was short-lived. View Slideshow: Leslie Jones Nude Photo Leak: Celebs React While no one is defending Milo Yiannopoulos’ actions, his ban from Twitter has triggered debate over whether it violates the 1st Amendment. “People should be able to express diverse opinions and beliefs on Twitter,” a company spokesperson said in announcing the decision. “But no one deserves to be subjected to targeted abuse online, and our rules prohibit inciting or engaging in the targeted abuse or harassment.” What do you think? Does the ban constitute an imposition on the popular (in some circles) web personality’s right to freedom of speech? Or, conversely, did this living, breathing piece of human garbage merely get what he had coming to him and not a moment too soon? Hit the comments to discuss.

Incarcerated Scarfaces: Locked Up Goon Brags About His Lavish Life Behind Bars On Facebook [Video]

Come on! Murder suspect Brooklyn Traylor’s Facebook timeline boasts photos of him and at least one other inmate while they’re locked up in the Alcorn County Jail. “It’s one thing to have to hear from the DA that it’s going to be 2 or 3 years if it goes to trial, but it’s another thing when you see that her killer is actively on Facebook,” said Aaron Crum, the victim’s brother. Traylor was charged with killing Crum’s sister, Kris Ann Ledlow. Investigators said Taylor shot her in February during an attempted robbery at the convenience store where she worked. Locked up behind bars, Traylor brags on Facebook he’s making more money in jail than on the streets. “The impression I got from the post and the pictures is that he’s just living it up and having a good time,” said Crum. Crum was upset Traylor could even access Facebook and a cell phone. He said the family’s complaints to the DA and the jail have gone unanswered. WREG sat down with Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell to find out how this is happening. He denied his inmates are having one big party in jail. “I can assure you we don’t allow them to have parties in our jail, and again I understand the families concern. It’s my concern as well,” said Caldwell. The sheriff said there’s no way to prove Traylor is posting from jail. He said inmates sometimes give passwords to friends on the outside to post on their behalf, but he told WREG Traylor did have access to a cell phone at one point. Sheriff Caldwell said, “When that took place, he was placed in segregation. His visitation was taken away from him and some of his other privileges such as commissary access to television.” WREG exposed a history of problems at the Alcorn County correctional facilities three years ago. Last year the state of Mississippi removed bus loads of prisoners housed there because some inmates had their own keys to the jail while others could access drugs and cell phones. When Caldwell took over, he promised changes. The sheriff said keeping contraband out of the jail is one of his big challenges. Since March, he’s arrested two of his own jailers. He said he’s conducting more shakedowns and added more cameras inside and outside the jail. Caldwell showed WREG a picture of the evidence seized from a car caught circling a back fence near the rec yard at night. It’s an indication of what his officers are up against. The photo showed a dozen cellphones and chargers, ear buds, bags of what looks like marijuana, rolling papers, cigars, handheld video games, iPods and plastic bottles filled with liquor. Caldwell believed the suspects wanted to throw the items over a fence for some inmates to retrieve later. “They have nothing to do but sit back in our jail and think of ways to get things into our facility. We’re constantly fighting to keep that from happening,” the sheriff said. Caldwell said smuggling contraband into jails and prisons is a problem nationwide. He’s promised to stop it whenever possible because he knows the implications. “It just looks like one big joke to him. He’s talking about going from like pistol whipping to money making,” said the brother of the murder victim. The Crums said it hurts to see the teen arrested for killing this sister, daughter and mother of two girls, bragging on social media from jail while they grieve their tragic loss. “It’s a slap in our face. Kris isn’t here. She can’t defend herself anymore, so somebody has to and that’s why I’m here,” said Crum. Continue reading

Javi Marroquin: Plastic Surgery Changed Kailyn Lowry Forever!

Kailyn Lowry’s body has been forever altered by plastic surgery, according to her soon-to-be ex-husband Javi Marroquin, who’s not a fan. Why? Because her physical appearance isn’t the only thing that’s been changed, according to the Teen Mom 2 star in his chat with Radar. In fact, he says Kailyn Lowry’s plastic surgery led to their divorce , at least in part, as her many procedures altered more than just her ass. Lowry underwent a Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck and liposuction of her neck, dramatically changing the young mom we first met on MTV. Ultimately, though, it was emblematic of a shift in mentality that drove Javi away, the U.S. Air Force member tells the celebrity news site. “She was struggling a lot with her body and her weight issues so she got the surgery,” Marroquin said. “She said it makes her happy.” “So at the end of the day that’s all that matters.” Is it, though? Doesn’t sound like be believes so. Indeed, the father of her second son Lincoln, 2, says he wasn’t on board with the surgeries , which took place right before he was deployed. “I was more shocked at who she’s becoming,” he said, in what sounds like a cheap shot from a bitter ex than a legitimate critique. “In the back of my mind I was also worried of who you’re going to be. Are you going to be the same person I fell in love with?”  “Is this going to change you?” Javi recalled thinking, adding, “the surgery is part of the reason we had so many problems.” Really? Is that fair to put on Kailyn’s shoulders now? Javi says yes, reiterating that the procedures did change her, as she went to the MTV VMAs braless in a see-through lace shirt. Is that a bad thing somehow? We’re confused. Hot new appearance or not,  Marroquin will never take Lowry back , ever. Ever. “No, there is nothing that could be done, said or heard.” “We both know it was too much.” “We got married and everything was great,” he said, in a rare positive acknowledgement during what has been a rough year for both. “Our marriage wasn’t always on the rocks.” “We did have a lot of fun together,” Javi says, adding that he has no regrets: “She was my best friend, we did a lot of fun stuff together.” “At the end of the day that’s my son’s mother,” he said, adding with an ever-so-slight passive-aggressive dig, “I have a lot of love for Kail.” “I have a lot of love for who she was.” Man, this guy knows how to twist the proverbial knife, playing the victim and then dishing out the shade left and right whenever he can. “If she’s ever going through a rough patch I’m still there for her,” he says. “At co-parenting we’re going great. As far as friendship goes?” “Maybe one day.” Of course, Javi also implied that Kailyn “knows what she did” to drive them apart and promises that the truth will “unravel” over time. Always cryptic. Recently, the warring spouses got into a tiff online over Christina “Peach” Pietrobon and her allegations that Kailyn cheated on Javi. “She found something out, brought it to my attention, so obviously I confronted Kail and asked,” he said of his best friend of 10 years. View Slideshow: Kailyn Lowry & Javi Marroquin Divorce: A Timeline of Destruction “When you ask who the source was, naturally you’re not going to like that person. [My friends are] the only people I can believe,” he said. “They have no reason to lie to me. Her best friends are telling me this kind of stuff. Why would they lie? They didn’t like what they saw.” “They didn’t like what she was doing.” What was that, exactly? You’ll have to wait for the tell-all book, obviously. Javi, as much as he loves to paint Kailyn as the opportunist, knows the game as well.

Her mother says things really got out of hand last week when the coach told Kemirah she wouldn’t be able to perform at Saturday’s football game if she showed up as she did at school – with her hair in braids. “I said, ‘If that’s the case, put it in writing. For Your Information: California Passes Mandatory Sentences After Stanford Rape Case

Brock Turner Rape Case Leads To Mandatory Rape Sentencing Bill In California The offensively light sentence that Stanford swimmer Brock Turner received for raping an unconscious woman sent the nation into an outrage. As a result, California is now tightening their belt in regards to the punishment that such crimes deserve according to the LATimes … State lawmakers passed a bill Monday to add mandatory prison sentences for certain sexual assaults – a measure inspired by a Santa Clara County Superior Court judge’s decision not to sentence a Stanford University student to prison in a high-profile case this year. The June decision by Judge Aaron Persky to sentence Stanford student Brock Turner to six months in jail after sexually assaulting an unconscious woman sparked significant criticism that the punishment was too lenient. Under current California law, those convicted of rape using additional physical force must serve time in prison. This measure would require the same punishment for sexual assaults of those unconscious or incapable of giving consent due to intoxication. “If we let a rapist off with probation and little jail time, we re-victimize the victim, we dissuade other victims from coming forward and we send a message that sexual assault of an incapacitated victim is just no big deal,” Assemblyman Bill Dodd (D-Napa), a coauthor of the measure, said during floor debate in the Assembly. Good. Guys like Brock Turner deserve as much prison time as they can get. Image via AP Continue reading
