Via NYPost reports : Crazy ex-con Aston Barth, 33, of Central Islip, continued to live with his victim’s body for nearly a week before his mother and brother discovered it Christmas Eve, cops said.Sean Epps said he had repeatedly gone to Barth’s home last week to ask if he had seen their mutual pal, victim Jason Campbell. “The whole time, my friend was in the closet right there,” a stunned Epps saidaid yesterday as he set up a makeshift memorial near Campbell’s home. “I don’t know how you can just stay in there with a body in your bedroom for a week — I didn’t think Aston could do something like this,’’ said another Campbell pal, who only gave her first name, Marquise. Barth — who drew national ridicule in 2007 after robbing a Central Islip bank dressed like a lady despite his thick black mustache — admitted to fatally choking Jason Campbell, a longtime pal, during an argument, authorities said. It wasn’t clear what the pair fought about, but after Barth killed his 35-year-old pal, he tried to decapitate and dismember him with an ax, officials said. Barth only got through one whack, on the neck, before he realized it was too much work and simply put a black garbage bag over Campbell’s head, wrapped him in a blanket and stuffed him in the closet, authorities said. Barth had just been released from prison for the bank robbery in September and returned to live with his mother, Connie, and a younger brother. Connie Barth said her son has been mentally ill since childhood, when he used to behead animals for fun. This is just sick and very sad. Story is crazy on multiple levels. DNA Info Reports : A teen who was friends with slain Englewood rapper Joseph “Lil JoJo” Coleman was shot dead on Christmas Day while wearing a hooded sweatshirt honoring the deceased emcee, his family said Wednesday. Joshua Davis, 18, of the 7200 block of South Bell Avenue, was shot several times after getting into a fight with a group of men in West Englewood, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman. No one was in custody as of Wednesday morning in the shooting, which occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of West 69th Street, police said. Neighbor Sam Agnew, 83, said he was in bed when he heard four or five shots. He looked out his front door, saw a man lying in the street directly in front of his house and called police, Agnew said. According to a law enforcement source, Davis had argued with the men on a bus. After he got off, they chased after him and one of the men unleashed several shots. “He was killed because he was wearing a hoodie and getting off the bus,” said the victim’s sister Selina Davis, 24. “He was a great boy. He was only a baby.” Police said it was not clear what article of clothing Davis was wearing at the time of the shooting or what the argument with the men on the bus was about. Selina Davis said her brother, whose rap name was JayLoud, was wearing a “JoJo” hoodie to honor his best friend, who was killed in September. Coleman, also 18, reportedly was feuding with rapper Chief Keef before his death, but it was not clear if Davis’ death was related. Joshua Davis was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition and died there early Wednesday morning, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Johnathan Moody, a cousin of the victim, said he and other friends had warned Davis about wearing the “JoJo” sweatshirt around the neighborhood. “We would tell him, ‘That ain’t good to wear that hoodie.’ But that was his best friend,” Moody said. Moody and other family members said they heard about their loved one’s death from friends and Facebook posts. “I guess the guys he got into it with, they were with another clique,” said Moody, 18. “It’s dumb. To kill someone over a hoodie?” Moody said. “It’s pointless, man. All this murder is pointless.” On a JayLoud video posted on YouTube, the victim raps in one song that “We know them and they know us, let’s get it. Smoke ‘em like some dope when we roll up.” On Dec. 17, a tweet from Davis’ Twitter handle @JayLoud93 stated “I wear my #JOJOWORLD hoodie everywhere f— ah opp.” “Opp” is slang for opponents, rival gangs. On his Twitter account, @JayLoud93 also includes hashtag notations #069 and #BrickSquad, which police say are references to the Brick Squad faction of Gangster Disciples. Police said Coleman was affiliated with the Brick Squad faction, but it was not clear if Davis was connected to the gang. Where are all the black activist at? Why are people not angry at another black kid being killed, daily, but we will act a fool if a half hispanic man kills a black kid out of the blue? Liam Hemsworth made sure the odds were in his favor early Sunday morning. Upon exiting a Philadelphia bar, the fiancé of Miley Cyrus confronted a man he believed had thrown a rock at him and a friend. As captured on video by TMZ, Hemsworth and his pal proceeded to give this alleged assailant a major beatdown, with Liam punching him in the face and shoving his head toward the concrete. The police soon arrived and cleared the scene, with no arrests made. According to Philadelphia police, no charges have been filed yet, perhaps because the victim thinks he fought to a draw. “I don’t think [Liam] fared much better,” he told TMZ, despite clear evidence to the contrary. Witnesses at the scene say they did not see anyone throw a rock. Neither Hemsworth, meanwhile, nor anyone from his camp has commented on the incident.
A video depicting the moments before a Midtown execution style murder has gone viral, and the NYPD is furiously searching for the suspect in the slaying of Brandon Woodward. The video is chilling, especially when you know the tragic result: Midtown Execution Suspect A fatal gunshot to the head killed the 31-year-old Woodard, whose killer slipped casually back into a car and drove off after the Monday afternoon murder. The shocking Midtown execution clip was captured on a security camera, but the victim’s family is as stumped about her son’s murder as cops seem to be. Woodward’s mother tells the New York Times: “I don’t know what happened.” “We don’t know why anyone would harm him. We have no idea. He didn’t have any enemies. Not one. He liked to tell jokes. He liked to have his friends over to entertain.” NYPD police commissioner Ray Kelly spoke out about the Midtown execution video and the chilling, horrifyingly blase attitude of Woodard’s killer in the clip. “It was very brazen … There were a lot of people in that area. Obviously, a lot of cameras in New York. So you could characterize it as either brazen or foolhardy. We’ll see.” The video above shows the suspect moments before he shot Woodard. A man was fatally shot in the head…on West 58th Street and Broadway this afternoon in a shocking act of violence, authorities said. The incident occurred about a block from Carnegie Hall, in front of the St. Thomas Choir School located at 202 W. 58th St. around 1:50 p.m., the FDNY said. The victim, Brandon Lincoln Woodard, 31, of Los Angeles, was approached from behind by his killer and shot once in the back of the head, according to NYPD spokesman Paul Browne. He was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital. “The victim was walking westbound on West 58th street in front of St. Thomas Choir School when a male black, unknown age, in a dark coat, dark hood and khaki pants began walking westbound behind the victim,” said Browne. “The shooter came up at close range and shot the victim one time in the back of the head.” The street was crowded with passers-by at the time of the shooting. After the shooting, stunned witnesses ran over to a nearby fire house and said Woodard had been shot in the face, sources said. The firefighters then rushed over to Woodard and tried to aid him, sources said. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a dark coat, dark hood and khaki pants, hopped into the passenger side of a light-colored Lincoln MKZ sedan, Browne said. “The shooter got into the passenger front seat of that awaiting vehicle, which had the driver in it and they drove out of the parking space and proceeded eastbound toward Seventh Avenue on West 58th street,” Browne said. “The gun was a silver semiautomatic pistol and a shell casing was recovered at scene,” Browne added. “We’re canvassing for videos and witnesses.” The shooter appeared calm and determined to carry out the execution-style shooting, according to cops. “There was no rush,” Browne said. “He just walked up, shot him and walked away.” The NYPD has obtained video of the shooting. A day after the tragedy that took the lives of Jovan Belcher and Kasadra Perkins – in a murder/suicide committed by the former, a linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs – new information has come out regarding this couple’s relationship. In a phone interview today, Angela Perkins, the victim’s cousin, said Belcher and Kasandra had “been having a lot of problems” and “weren’t getting along for quite a while.” They were reportedly arguing in the hour leading up to Belcher shooting his girlfriend multiple times. Angelia cited the couple’s newborn daughter as a source of “strain” for the twosome, adding: “There was just a lot going on. She was stressed. He was stressed [and fighting was] a regular thing. It just started to go bad, but they had the child, and they were trying to make it work.” In the wake of this horrific incident, the Chiefs went ahead and played the Carolina Panthers in Kansas City today. They won an emotional matchup 27-21. “It’s been an incredibly difficult 24 hours for our family and our entire organization,” said team owner Clark Hunt. “We have so many guys on our team and our coaching staff who are really, really hurting.” Following the murder of Perkins, Belcher drove to the club’s facility and shot himself in the head, in front of head coach Romeo Crennel and other members of management.

Love is said to be the fire of life that neither consumes nor purifies; but for 35-year-old Janeth Odehgbe, hers was a different case as she has been set on fire by her husband following disagreement over her collecting a cup of wine from another man during a party they both attended. Recounting her ordeal in the hand of her 39-year-old husband, Mr Kehinde Adesanmoye, Janeth told Crime Alert that on September 11, 2012 around 10 pm, her husband poured petrol on her as she was preparing Indomie noodles for a customer and fire caught her immediately. She was nearly consumed by the fire but for passers-by that rescued her. Janet’s backview showing the burns She said, “I saw him coming towards me, as he got nearer, he ordered my customer to leave and as I tried to run for my dear life, he poured petrol on me and fire caught up with me immediately. Passers-by rescued me and ran after him to fight him, but immediately they noticed it was him, they all went to their various homes. Then some of them took me to the Police station and from there I was taken to Peaceful Convalescent Center, Alhaji Obe Street, Ejigbo Lagos.” Janeth, who hails from Isoko area of Delta state and earns her living from selling cooked Indomie along Ikotun roundabout, claimed she was illegally married to Adesanmoye (popularly called Ogunlade) after divorcing her first husband. Trouble was said to have started for the duo on September 8, 2012 when Adesanmoye and his wife went for a naming ceremony of a friend who stays beside their residence at 22, Olaoluwa Street, Abaranje, Ikotun. “As we got to the party, my friends who were also present were hailing me, calling me ‘Indomie’, because I was known for selling Indomie. I was invited to sit on the chairs they have organized for friends. Adesanmoye was sitting right beside me. “After some time, my friend, a vulcanizer, Taye offered me a bottle of wine, but I rejected it at the first instance because I was on my menstrual period and I don’t want to take anything alcoholic. But when the pressure from my friends was too much, pestering me to take the wine, I decided to take a cup. Janet & Adesanmoye before trouble started “Immediately Adesanmoye saw me finish the cup of wine, he got up and started going. I ran after him to ask what went wrong. To my surprise, he started abusing me and asking why do I have to collect a drink from a friend in a party while he was sitting right beside me, and why do I have to kiss a friend in the party too?” Janeth narrated in pains. The Isoko woman, who noted that her husband (Adesanmoye) could kill her if she should say anything whenever he is angry, pointed out that she never said anything in response to her husband’s allegations. “My husband has always been jealous. He used to beat me every time under any guise and excuse. I have tried several times to leave him but he always threatened to harm me. I stayed with him because I was afraid of him and my life. He always told me that I could never escape from him, except I leave Lagos State. Anytime I said I was leaving him, he would say, no problem, that he would do something to me that I will not forget. Now, see what he had done to me. He wanted to kill me” she added. An unconfirmed source intimated Crime Alert that Adesanmoye was later arrested and detained at the Ikotun Police station. His relatives were alleged to have called for amicable settlement, offering the victim a sum of N100, 000 (One hundred thousand), which the victim reportedly rejected. She however called on the government to ensure that her husband paid for what he did to her, adding “am an orphan. I have no father or mother. I sell Indomie to live. Now, I’ve spent all my money. Post-traumatic stress syndrome and the epidemic of suicide among Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans are not exactly popular subjects with the military community — or civilians, for that matter — but first-time filmmaker K. Lorrel Manning and actor/producer Michael Cuomo have made a tough, honest film that should spark plenty of debate over these issues. On Monday evening, the duo’s movie Happy New Year premiered in New York with a pair of special Veterans Week screenings and a reception at the Disney Screening Room on Park Avenue. Movieline Managing Director Gerry Byrne, producer Fred Zollo and Help USA Chairman Maria Cuomo Cole hosted the event, which was attended by veterans, active duty personnel and their families. Michael Cuomo gives a searing performance in Happy New Year as a physically and emotionally scarred veteran who returns from combat in Iraq to find that an even tougher battle — to regain his health, his dignity and his sense of self — awaits him with little help from the government that sent him to war. After the screening, Manning told the crowd that a chance encounter with Purple Hearts, Nina Berman’s book of photos of wounded Iraq war vets, inspired the film. The director also explained that he wanted Happy New Year to be “an apolitical film” that would convince “other veterans to be okay with saying, ‘I’m not okay.'” The movie opens Dec. 7 in New York and Manning and Cuomo say they intend to eventually expand to other cities theatrically and via video on demand. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter , the Bachelorette actor explains that he’s the victim of “a famous actor friend of mine” who “likes to go into other people’s bios and add things.” Marsden won’t identify the guy, but apparently, the wiseacre managed to get the usually reliable IMDb to embellish the Enchanted actor’s bio with the erroneous tidbit that Marsden was a big fan of the “Copacabana” crooner. As a result, Marsden has had to field frequent questions on the subject, most recently when Access Hollywood ‘s Billy Bush asked him about Manilow at the Napa Valley Film Festival on Nov. 9. A spokesperson for IMDb told THR that information submitted to the site “goes through a series of consistency checks before it goes live,” but that given “the sheer volume of the information, occasional mistakes are inevitable, and, when reported, they are promptly fixed.” The Manilow reference does appear to have been removed from IMDb, but why do I feel like it’s only a matter of time before the bio bandit strikes again.
