Kate Hudson and her British K-Fraud welcomed their first little joint bundle of joy into the world last night. The little guy joins big brother Ryder, Hudson’s 7-year-old son with ex-husband Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes. Us Weekly was first to break news of Hudson’s second pregnancy in January 2011. She and the Muse frontman Bellamy, 33, debuted their romance in late spring 2010; they reportedly met years ago in Australia “He’s lovely,” Hudson (whose mom is actress Goldie Hawn) told Elle UK back in September. After confirming her pregnancy in late January, she admitted that life was a little more chaotic with another baby on board. “I babble a lot. I forget words. And how to put sentences together,” Hudson laughs. “I just give up.” “This is a totally different pregnancy, completely,” Hudson said in April. “It couldn’t be more opposite…With Ryder, I didn’t even have a nursery. I didn’t really have a house until I was seven months pregnant.” Congrats to the happy couple and their families. Source
Talk about random ridiculousness. A woman who got out of her car on I-285 was struck by several vehicles and killed early Sunday morning, Cobb police said. Police identified the victim as Yasmel Garcia-Victoria, 23, of Norcross. Police said Garcia-Victoria was driving westbound on I-285 near Cobb Parkway and engaged in an argument with 38-year-old Michael Swetell, also of Norcross, when Swetell pulled the emergency brake, causing the 2002 Honda Civic to come to an abrupt halt in the emergency lane. Both occupants left the vehicle and continued to argue, police said. Garcia-Victoria was struck in the right travel lane by multiple vehicles. Only one driver stopped to report the accident. Garcia-Victoria died at the scene. Swetell drove to a Waffle House on Atlanta Road at about 3:40 a.m. and sought assistance, investigators said. Cobb police arrived and took Swetell into custody. After questioning he was charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct, concealing a death, tampering with evidence and DUI. SMDH at all those cars hitting her and not stopping. We don’t even know where to start with this one. Hours after three brothers were seen playing with a gun outside their home, a 13-year-old Cobb County boy was dead Thursday night. A 16-year-old older brother is accused in death. But Friday afternoon, he was still on the loose. When he’s found, Oscar Mondragon is expected to be charged as an adult and face felony murder and aggravated assault charges, Sgt. Dana Pierce with Cobb County police told the AJC. Until then, investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating the teen, who should be considered armed and dangerous, Pierce said. Officers responding to a 9:24 p.m. 911 call about a shooting at the Eastside Mobile Home Park on Eastside Drive found the younger boy dead inside the trailer, Pierce said. Police did not release the name of the victim, but neighbors told the AJC the boy who died was Javier Mondragon, one of six children living in the home. Police have not yet determined what led to the shooting and whether or not it was accidental, Pierce said. Investigators plan to question Oscar Mondragon once he is located. “He does have a lot of companions and fellow friends in that area,” Pierce said. “It could be that someone is harboring him.” A person who knowingly assists the suspect could also face charges, Pierce said. Friends and neighbors at the mobile home park described Javier as a polite boy who was looking forward to being a seventh-grader at Griffin Middle School in the fall. “He was the best friend I’ve ever had,” Emoni Jones, 13, told the AJC as her mother, Errietta Jones, stood beside her. “I tell him everything and I trust him with everything. He didn’t deserve to die like that.” Our initial thought was that maybe this was just a tragic accident and the older brother was getting bad advice from friends encouraging him to hide out. But, neighbors pretty much described Oscar Mondragon as the kind of kid who people much expected to see behind bars at some point. How terrible this must be for the family though. Source
Elmer “Geronimo” Pratt aka Geronimo ji-Jaga died of a heart attack yesterday in his home in Tanzania. The former high-ranking member of the Black Panther party and godfather of Tupac Shakur was unjustly incarcerated for 27 years after being falsely convicted of the kidnap and murder of Caroline Olsen on a Santa Monica, California tennis court in 1968. Even though the husband of the victim that survived the robbery pointed out another man as the attacker, a judge ruled that the jury was not informed. Pratt served his time, and eight years of that time he was in solitary confinement. He was freed in 1997. Stuart Hanlon, a San Francisco attorney who helped overturn Pratt’s murder conviction said to The Times, “Geronimo was a powerful leader. For that reason he was targeted.” Read more here. Police cannot confirm TMZ’s report linking a ‘jealous man’ to M-Bone’s death. By Rob Markman M-Bone Photo: Amy Graves/PictureGroup/AP There is much rumor and speculation surrounding the May 15 shooting death of Cali Swag District member Mante “M-Bone” Talbert, 22. At press time, TMZ was reporting that Bone was possibly murdered by a “jealous man,” who threatened Talbert over Twitter. An unnamed woman, claiming to be M-Bone’s girlfriend, told the popular website that the man lived in their apartment complex and was envious of Cali Swag District’s success. She went on to tell TMZ that at around 10 p.m., Bone used her car and said that he was going to the studio. The gossip site is also reporting that a man known as “Bubba” was in the car with M-Bone when the shooting occurred. After the shots were fired, Bubba, who made a cameo in the group’s “Teach Me How to Dougie” music video, was struck with shards of glass in the face and hospitalized for his wounds. M-Bone’s life in photos As of Tuesday morning (May 17), the Inglewood Police homicide division could not confirm any of this information for MTV News. What Inglewood PD homicide Sgt. Brian Spencer could confirm to us is that at about 10:30 p.m. PT Sunday night, police were called to the 400 block of North La Brea Boulevard in Inglewood. When they arrived on the scene they found Talbert seated in the driver’s seat of a black vehicle with at least two gunshots to the head. M-Bone was then taken to a local hospital but eventually succumbed to his injuries. In a statement released on Monday, a rep for Cali Swag said that M-Bone “was the victim of a random act of violence.” Bone was one-fourth of the group that rose to fame with their 2010 platinum single “Teach Me How to Dougie.” The song was an ode to the dance popularized by 1980s rap legend Doug E. Fresh, and its remix featured Jermaine Dupri, B.o.B, Bow Wow and Red Caf

Cyber-security pro says teens are ‘playing crazies online as a way of acting out.’ By Gil Kaufman Rebecca Black Photo: Getty/ Jason LaVeris The Internet has brought stars closer than ever to their fans and opened up an unprecedented two-way path of communication between once-untouchable celebrities and their biggest followers. But it has also opened up a forum that deranged or attention-seeking devotees have begun exploiting as the latest and most serious form of cyber-stalking: anonymous death threats. The latest victim of such attacks is “Friday” sensation Rebecca Black, who ABC News reported has been receiving threats by e-mail and phone ever since her song became a viral sensation. Police in Anaheim, California, have begun an investigation into the actions against 13-year-old Black, and cyber-security expert Parry Aftab told MTV News that it’s important to not take such anonymous threats lightly. “The thing is: They think they can get away with it and that’s because they often do get away with it,” said Aftab, one of the leading experts on cyber-security and cyber-abuse issues. “A death threat is actionable in every state, and when someone like Justin Bieber (his girlfriend Selena Gomez ) or Rebecca Black gets them, they tend to brush them off as someone who is on the Internet and doesn’t matter, but you don’t know the difference between someone wearing Pokemon pajamas and living in their mom’s basement who is harmless and people who are really nutty enough to kill you.” Aftab warned that all the big social networks are now taking enforcement of cyber-stalking very seriously and working with law enforcement to root out the attackers. “These are people looking for attention, with nothing else to do in their lives,” she said. “They’re not mature enough to deal with society and don’t know how to get attention in good ways.” And while they may be empowered by the anonymity of the Internet and they may get the attention they seek by taking on someone with a high profile and millions of fans as a quick way to gain cyber-fame, Aftab warned that these actions are absolutely against both state and federal laws. “If you make a threat of serious bodily harm or a death threat, a true threat, the Supreme Court has ruled that that is not protected by the First Amendment,” she said. And while these actions are often the work of lonely “trolls” who are seeking attention, Aftab said even if some are posted by fellow teens who are jealous, looking for a thrill or just joking around, authorities will take them seriously. “If you’re in an airport and you’re goofing around with your friends in the security line and talk about, ‘He’s got a bomb,’ you are going to go to jail. It might be funny, but there are very clear-cut laws and this is one of them,” she said. “There are many cases where it’s a 15-year-old on the other side and they’re not crazies, but they’re playing crazies online as a way of acting out.” Friends joking around is one thing, but according to federal cyber-stalking laws, if you communicate with someone anonymously and they can’t evaluate how real the threat is and your intent is to annoy or harass, the FBI can investigate it and you can go to jail for two years. In a case like Black’s, where the singer has elicited a lot of negative response from people who are annoyed by her simplistic, insanely catchy song, Aftab chalks the death threats up to a loss of civility and people not knowing how to object to something without resorting to the most extreme words and using the secrecy of the Internet as a screen for their hate or jealously. “They think it doesn’t matter because they’re only words and they’re doing it anonymously on Facebook, but they don’t realize that it’s just as legally actionable as if you went up to [a celebrity] face to face and said, ‘I want to kill you.’ ” As for how victims of such actions can protect themselves, Aftab suggested the victim keep the communication going with the person making the threats, but not respond to them or say they’re going to report them to the authorities. In the meantime, they should contact the local authorities and, she suggested, visit a site like SpectorSoft , which offers what she called the most powerful monitoring software available, which is able to log all incoming and outgoing communications on your computers and some smartphones and trace them so authorities can find out who is behind the harassment and bring charges. “Run silent and run deep, but do not respond,” she counseled. “It only feeds this.” MTV’s ongoing project also provides stories and resources for anyone who believes they are being cyber-bullied or who is looking for ways to stop harassment by digital means. Rapper allegedly pushed the victim out of his car after she refused to go to a hotel with him. By Alvin Blanco Gucci Mane in police custody on Friday Photo: Dekelb County Sheriff Gucci Mane is in trouble with the law yet again . The Atlanta rapper was arrested Friday (April 8) and charged with a misdemeanor count of battery for allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle back in January. WSB-TV Atlanta is reporting that Gucci (born Radric Davis) was arrested while visiting his probation officer at the Georgia Department of Corrections Probation Office by the DeKalb County Fugitive Squad. MTV News obtained the incident report from the DeKalb County police, and the details are eye-opening. On the morning of January 28, the victim, a a 36-year-old Atlanta resident, was at the South DeKalb Mall when she was approached by a male driving a white Hummer who turned out to be Gucci Mane. The victim says Gucci asked if she wanted to get breakfast and she entered the vehicle after agreeing. However, once in the vehicle, Gucci allegedly offered the victim $150 to “go to the hotel.” It is when she refused and asked to be returned to the mall that the rapper allegedly leaned over to open the passenger side door and proceeded to shove her out of the car, after several tries, while the vehicle was in motion. According to the report, the victim “had redness on her left side/back area.” Although she had never met the “Lemonade” rapper before, she stated that she was familiar with his music and “recognized an ‘ice cream cone’ tattoo on the suspect’s face.” According to Mekka Parrish of the DeKalb County Police Department, the warrant stemmed from an April 1 court date, where it was likely issued. These latest charges may lead to another jail sentence for Gucci Mane, who was released from Fulton County Jail after serving six months of a yearlong sentence for a parole violation on an aggravated assault conviction . Although the crime he is currently charged with is a misdemeanor, Gucci will probably be charged with violating his parole again. Gucci is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail on $5,000 bond and will face a judge on Saturday. Related Photos Celebrity Mug Shots Related Artists Gucci Mane
Eugene Quantron McCoy ain’t sh*t smh. A 21-year-old man has been charged with three counts of murder and one charge of aggravated assault in a stabbing attack on four people at a home near Lithonia Sunday evening. Eugene Quatron McCoy was charged early Monday and was taken to the DeKalb County Jail on the charges. The only survivor to the attack was a woman who ran to another subdivision nearby after escaping. She called police from there. She was hospitalized in critical condition as of Monday afternoon. The fourth victim was actually his teenaged sister. And despite the fact that he still technically lived with them, a restraining order would make it seem as though McCoy’s mom wanted him no where near her other children. With good reason. According to court records, there is a history of family violence. McCoy has been arrested six times prior to Monday, including twice for allegedly violating family violence orders. All the cases were before DeKalb County judges. The first arrest was in 2007 when McCoy was sentenced to 12 months’ probation for burglary, but that case did not involve family violence. Last May 26, McCoy pleaded guilty to violation of a temporary protective order and was put on probation for a year and ordered to have no contact with the victim. McCoy pleaded guilty last Sept. 8 to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 23 days of confinement and 12 months probation. Then on Dec. 8, McCoy pleaded no contest to family violence battery, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. He was sentenced to 14 days in jail and two years probation. SMH. Source 1 Source 2
Lane says there’s been a ‘cover-up’ to promote idea that Natalie Portman did most of the dancing. By Eric Ditzian Natalie Portman in “Black Swan” Photo: FOX Searchlight “It was really extreme,” Natalie Portman told MTV News in November. “And I definitely felt both physical and mental aftershocks from the experience, because it was the first thing I’ve ever done that was this physically demanding on top of an emotionally demanding part.” She was speaking about the 10 months she spent training to play a ballerina in “Black Swan,” a role that would earn her a Best Actress Oscar in February. Now that awards season is over, however, a controversy has erupted over how much of the dancing in “Black Swan” was executed by Portman and how much was the work of her professional ballet-dancing body doubles. Sarah Lane, a 27-year-old soloist at the American Ballet Theatre who stood in for Portman in the film, told Entertainment Weekly that she has been the victim of a “cover-up” meant to tout Portman’s work at the expense of her own. “Of the full body shots, I would say 5 percent are Natalie. All the other shots are me,” she said. “They wanted to create this idea in people’s minds that Natalie was some kind of prodigy or so gifted in dance and really worked so hard to make herself a ballerina in a year and a half for the movie, basically because of the Oscar. It is demeaning to the profession and not just to me. I’ve been doing this for 22 years.” Following Lane’s comments, Fox Searchlight released a statement that was both supportive of the dancer but emphasized the amount of Portman’s own ballet that made it into the movie. “We were fortunate to have Sarah there to cover the more complicated dance sequences and we have nothing but praise for the hard work she did,” the statement read. “However, Natalie herself did most of the dancing featured in the final film.” The debate caught fire last week after Benjamin Millepied, Portman’s fianc
