Source: Westend61 / Getty A Black father in Oklahoma City was attempting to enjoy a day out at the pool with his children earlier in the month when a white man began attacking him, prompting the father to deliver a fade . When the attacker returned with a baseball bat after getting knocked out, a second fade was promptly administered. Local outlet News 9 reports: Witnesses and police said 28-year-old Joshua Valentine targeted a black man, who was at the swimming pool to watch his kids. Police said Valentine verbally then physically attacked the victim with a closed fist. The victim, however, turned the tables on Valentine, and knocked him out. When Valentine awoke a few minutes later, he left the pool area, then returned with a baseball bat. Police and witnesses said he swung at the victim, who not only fended Valentine off with a chair, the victim then struck Valentine several times with his fist, knocking Valentine out a second time. Re-imagining some classic Nike silhouettes with gold and white colorways, Nike has blessed the likes of Bobby Wagner, Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack, and with Nike 99 Club cleats which are designed “to each superstar’s unique style and skillset.” While Wagner probably got the grail of the 99 Club cleats with a golden pair of Air Jordan 1 cleats, Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack didn’t get scraps either as they both received white and gold-lined custom versions of the Nike Force Savage Elite. Source: Robin L Marshall / Getty Tonight’s episode of Basketball Wives finds us still in San Diego. Evelyn and Jennifer are finally friends again, but more beef lurks elsewhere, of course. Malaysia is annoyed that Evelyn and Jenn made up because she still doesn’t rock with Jenn. She didn’t think Evelyn would go for it, but she did so now Malaysia feels like she’s the only person left who hasn’t been fooled by Jenn. Other people in the group think it’s time to get Malaysia and Jenn together to talk, other people is Jackie. However, if you recall, we last left Malaysia and Jenn’s relationship in shambles after Malaysia threw a table at Jenn because she felt like Jenn tried to use her to spread malicious rumors about Evelyn and her daughter. Forgiveness from Malaysia probably isn’t happening any time soon but she does plan to apologize to Jenn for throwing a table at her. In other news, CeCe is preparing for her upcoming wedding, but Byron and his kids (including Kristen) still aren’t on the same page. There’s a chance that they might not show up to his wedding. However, Malaysia and Kristen still feel like they can work things out and be a happy family. We’ll see. It’s dinner time now the ponderosa begins. Everyone feels the need to tell OG how wrong she was for spilling the tea about Kristen’s husband and talking smack about her man, yatta yatta. Now, OG was wrong for volunteering that information. However, OG brought up a good point when she mentioned that Kristen said lots of nasty things about her and her relationship. In OG’s mind, they were at a war of words and now they’re even. This isn’t enough for the rest of these hyenas. They harp on OG being wrong and really think she should apologize to Kristen. Mind you, no one is saying anything to Kristen, who definitely isn’t innocent. Once again, OG makes a good point, which is that if Kristen doesn’t talk about her nasty then she won’t talk nasty about Kristen. Feby jumps into the mix and asks everyone to go downstairs to watch her new video. As everyone heads down, Jenn pulls OG aside and shows her a video of Feby talking smack about her, and then mentions how Feby told them she wrote a diss track about OG. Jenn is being messy, but she’s actually not wrong here. She just doesn’t want OG to be blindsided. OG wastes no time going straight to Feby to see what’s up. She asks Feby directly if she wrote a diss track about her. Feby completely punks out. She was all talk when she was telling Evelyn, Shaunie, and Malaysia, verbatim, that she wrote a diss track about OG. However, she tells OG that she just said she wrote some rhymes about people who wear fake clothes. Everyone who heard Feby say what she said is looking at Feby sideways but none of them really call her out on it. OG then tells Feby that she could deliver those Nigerian fists of fury and kill her with her bare hands but has decided to keep it cute. Now, if you’ve been watching this show for multiple seasons you know dang well there has been a lot of aggression. Nothing should be that surprising, but apparently, OG’s comment is enough to shock everyone. Like, they’re literally all pretending to be appalled by OG’s commentary. Shaunie even says that OG’s “aggression” is driving a wedge between her and everything else. So, all the times Tami attempted to beat the breaks off someone, all the time Evelyn has run across tables and also attempted to beat the breaks off someone, Jackie has actually fought and attempted to fight, Malaysia threw a dang table at Jenn, but OG, who has actually never attempted violence, simply speaking about violence while defending herself, is scaring them? Yeah, okay. What’s the difference between OG and all of the aforementioned women? Complexion. People in these Twitter streets, self-included, think this is colorism at play. Debate your mother! OG wants to clarify the things Malaysia said about CeCe and Byon feeding OG info to use as ammo, and whether they’re using her or not. Byron and Cece deny this, of course. Byron said OG has always been cool, and so has her man and that the drama isn’t his style. He just wants to move on. He then says that his conversation with Malaysia was about trying to repair the family. Mind you, Byron never said what Malaysia said he said, but OG wants to know where the ammunition stuff is coming from and asks directly. Byron said he never said that. OG is cool with his answer and that’s that for now. Byron and CeCe are coming across as really fake, but whatever. OG wouldn’t be in this situation if she had just minded her business, but I digress. Things will get worse in the upcoming episodes. There’s going to be another trip to Costa Rica, there will be more rumors started, some lie detector tests about who started what rumor and the old Jackie is definitely going to make an appearance too. Officials say inmate Brian Wilson , who is prison for possessing a stolen firearm, is now looking a more penalties, because it is a crime for an inmate to have a cell phone inside a federal prison. He also tried to start a Go-Fund-Me to help his cellmate. The FBI is further investigating how the contraband was actually smuggled into the prison, but prisons around the state have been put on notice. Ekaterina Karaglanova, a well-known Russian Instagram influencer, was stabbed to death inside her Moscow apartment on Friday, multiple outlets have now confirmed. She was just days from turning 25 years old. The details of the case are especially gruesome. According to The Independent, the travel and fashion blogger’s parents contacted her landlord after not having heard from their daughter for multiple days. At this point, the landlord entered Karaglanova’s residence and discovered the 24-year old’s corpse. The body was inside a suitcase in her apartment hallway. Stab wounds were evident on her neck and chest, while local police say there were not signs of a struggle at the scene; a murder weapon has not be uncovered from the premises. Karaglanova had recently graduated from medical school and had established over 92,000 followers at the time of her murder. The social media personality was mostly beloved for her luxurious travel posts, where she posed in such locations as Italy, Austria and Spain. Her final Instagram photo depicts Karaglanova lounging poolside in Corfu, Greece, detailing her love for traveling. In addition to her globally popular Instagram account and separate travel blog, the Russian brunette was hoping to break into the field of dermatology. Investigators are currently looking into the case, per Variety, citing jealousy from a former boyfriend as a possible motive behind the crime. A suspect reportedly has been arrested, but not many other details have been released at this time. According to police, however, CCTV footage captured an alleged ex-boyfriend entering Karaglanova’s building around the days of her disappearance. This video shows him leaving with a suitcase and wearing gloves. Ekaterina was also a former Miss Moscow first runner-up; she posted to her Instagram over 650 times through the years. “I travel often, but in ever country I spend no more than 3-5 days,” Karaglanova wrote on her official page on July 22, addinh: “The longest journey of my life was in Israel with my family, when I was 14. “We went to visit for a while month, covered the whole country. Now I prefer to travel very often, but briefly…The impressions of such short trips remain the brightest.” UPDATE : A spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Interior has released the following statement: “As a result of operational search activities, the police officers at the Moscow Directorate of the MVD of Russia in Moscow established the location and arrested the suspect in the murder of a female social media personality in the apartment of a residential building on Pyryeva Street. “He has now been brought in for questioning.” May Ekaterina Karaglanova rest in peace. Mario Lopez has been forced to issue an apology and backtrack very quickly after controversial comments he made last month went viral just this week. The former Saved By the Bell actor and television host was a guest (for some reason) on The Candace Owens Show in June when the topic turned to how parents react when their kids express confusion over their gender. Why was Mario Lopez asked about this? We have no earthly idea. But his response has generated a significant amount of backlash. During the 40-minute interview, Owens, a conservative commentator, noted that Lopez’s son has “boyish” interests. She went on cite “a weird trend” in which some celebrities, most notably Charlize Theron, are permitting their children to choose their gender identity. ( Editor’s Note : This is not a trend by any definition of that word. Theron has said that she’s letting her adopted son live as a girl because he’s stated that is his preference … and that’s it.) “And this is strange to me,” Owens said to Lopez. “They say, ‘Oh, I looked at my child and my child was swimming in a bathtub and looked up and said, “Mommy, I’m a boy” and that’s weird.” Owens said she doesn’t think kids possess the “mental authority” to express a gender identity different than the one they were assigned at birth, a point with which Lopez basically agreed. “I’m kind of blown away, too,” replied Lopez, who recently left Extra to begin hosting Access Hollywood. He continued: “Look, I’m never one to tell anyone how to parent their kids obviously and I think if you come from a place of love, you really can’t go wrong. “But at the same time, my God, if you’re three years old and you’re saying you’re feeling a certain way or you think you’re a boy or a girl or whatever the case may be, I just think it’s dangerous as a parent to make this determination then, well, okay, then you’re going to a boy or a girl, whatever the case may be … “It’s sort of alarming and my gosh, I just think about the repercussions later on.” That last part is one reason why Lopez is now under fire. The repercussions ? Meaning what, exactly? That this boy or girl may live as a transgender individual. Is that the end of the world, Mario? Lopez, who welcomed his third child with wife Courtney Mazza this month, also Owens that his older kids don’t associate with children who are trans or gender nonbinary: “They don’t kick it with those kids.” YIKES, right? A few hours after these quotes went viral, Lopez offered up a mea culpa. “The comments I made were ignorant and insensitive, and I now have a deeper understanding of how hurtful they were,” he said, concluding as follows; “I have been and always will be an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community, and I am going to use this opportunity to better educate myself. Moving forward I will be more informed and thoughtful.” According to a 2019 report from The Trevor Project, 1.8 percent of teenage Americans identify as transgender. More than half of transgender males under 18 report attempting suicide, while 29.9 percent of young trans women try to kill themselves. Maybe something to consider the next time celebrities make dumb, ignorant comments on the topic.

Earlier this week, a judge ruled that a Christian rapper’s copyright infringement case against Katy Perry could proceed to the trial stage. The rapper — who goes by the stage name Flame — claims that Perry’s 2013 hit “Dark Horse” is a ripoff of his song “Joyful Noise.” It’s a bit ironic, considering that title must have been used by about 40 bajiliion Christian recording artists before Flame came along, but that’s a conversation for another time. Now, you may be wondering what in the hell (pardon us, evangelical readers) all of this has to do with Jessa Duggar. Well, if you’re a fan of her family’s and you follow her husband on social media, then you might already be familiar with Flame, aka Marcus Grey. Grey is a longtime Duggar associate who was once interviewed by Jessa’s husband, Ben Seewald, on the topic of race relations in America. Ben Seewald on Racial Unrest (There was a time when Ben tried to fashion a career for himself as a media figure who asks the tough questions. The less said about that phase, the better.) “Flame has been doing Christian hip hop for many years now,” Ben told the camera. “I started listening to some of Flame’s music a little over a year ago. I really appreciated the content of his music. We actually became friends.” Ben goes on to explain that his wife later became friends with Flame, and the couple even introduced the rapper to their then-infant son, Spurgeon. “During this visit we want to kind of introduce Flame to life in the country as opposed to life in the city,” Ben said when Grey’s visit to their was captured by TLC cameras. For years now, the Duggars have been outspoken critics of secular pop culture, and they’re especially chagrinned by what they see as overly-sexualized music directed at younger audiences. In other words, they’re probably not very big Katy Perry fans. This, combined with the unusually heated nature of Flame’s court battle against Perry (The singer even offered to perform her song live in front of the judge to make her case.) has led to rumors that Katy and Jessa don’t like each other. However, while it seems very likely that Jessa dislikes Katy, it seems equally likely that Katy has no idea who Jessa is. Besides, both women have so much on their plates these days that new enemies are probably the last thing on their minds. Katy has enough feuds to keep her busy for the next few decades. Meanwhile, Jessa just welcomed her third child . So as entertaining as it would be if these two started taking shots at one another on Twitter, sadly, it’ll probably never happen.
