Page Six is reporting that the “Always On Time” rapper is no longer on the legal hook for the Fyre Festival. A judge at a federal Manhattan court ruled that Atkins will no longer be included in the civil suit filed by consumers who paid thousands of dollars each for tickets. On Wednesday, July 10 Judge P. Kevin Castel stated that Ja was “not alleged to have known of individual ticket or merchandise sales”. Originally billed as a “luxury music festival”, Fyre ended up being a fraudulent struggle of epic proportions. When guests arrived in the Bahamas for the opening weekend they were greeted with cheese sandwiches and FEMA tents instead of gourmet meals and luxury villas they were promised. But the inferior accommodations didn’t stop there as there was no electricity or working bathrooms in place. The scene quickly turned into a modern day Lord of the Flies . Ja was not in attendance when Judge Castel ruled but his legal team communicated the Queens native’s appreciation. “Mr. Atkins is thankful for today’s ruling and for the Court’s time and attention. Justice was done today” explained Ryan Smith. Organizer Billy McFarland was found guilty of defrauding a total of $27 million dollars. He is currently serving six months in prison. The moral of the story here: literally ANYONE can be body shamed, even people who probably work out more than 300 days a year and have bodies that look like they were sculpted by God himself. T here were several shootings last night in Baltimore and one of the victims is a student at Morgan State University. The school has confirmed the victim to be Manuel Luis, he was a sophomore and shot outside of the school. CBS reports detectives believe Luis was being robbed by two people when he was shot, “Investigators called it a crime of opportunity that escalated into tragedy.” One report claims he was about to drive home to see his parents. MSU student Shree Realer said, “It happened at 2:22 a.m., actually, because I remember looking at the clock right after it happened. It was like one gunshot and then you heard four more straight afterwards.” There has been outpour on social media. One user wrote, “Manuel Luis….I promise you will NEVER be forgotten. The way you went is going to hurt me and so many. In 8 months you impacted plenty. Sucks that this is what it took for Morgan to wake tf up about security. He was allegedly robbed while leaving a liquor store around 9 p.m. Around 10:45 p.m., another man was shot and taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to police. According to News4Jax , a girl and her mother got in on the latest disgusting internet craze during a trip to the doctor’s office, the absolute last place you would want to wantonly lick things, but we digress. While waiting to be seen at the All About Kids and Families Medical Center, the girl’s mother whipped out her cell phone to record her daughter licking a tongue depressor then putting back in the container for some unsuspecting person to use. Not only did this piss-poor excuse for a mother record the germy viral ritual, but she also posted the clip to her Snapchat page. The video was spread far and wide around the internet and the mother, who asked not to be identified, said she has been receiving death threats. News4Jax asked why she recorded it. She responded, “I had just been waiting a long time. I was just being silly with my kids.” Her soon-to-be-ex-husband said he was horrified when he realized the girl in the video was his daughter. “My mouth hit the floor. I was completely surprised and shocked that she would even put something like that out there to be seen,” the father said. “I’m very embarrassed. That is not how I want my children raised or brought up.” Here’s what the medical center had to say about the incident: “We were notified yesterday a patient had violated our trust with behavior that is inconsistent with the practices and standards that we uphold and expect at our facility. “Upon notification of this isolated incident, we contacted law enforcement to request a full and thorough investigation. In addition, we immediately removed all materials and containers from the specific exam room and re-sanitized our entire facility. Our internal investigation does not reveal any resulting risks or harm to patients from this action. “This type of behavior is not tolerated at All About Kids and Families Medical Center. It's time to move over, Florida Man . You must now officially make room for Long Island Man. Or, to be more precise we suppose, you must make room for Short Long Island Man, based on a hilarious/disturbing new video that has gone very viral in a very short period of time. In a video posted to Twitter this week, a woman is heard at the Bagel Boss shop in Bay Shore, New York, asking a middle-aged man wearing running shoes, shorts and a striped polo shirt why he thinks it's acceptable to “degrade women.” We don't know the circumstances that prompted this question… only that it led to an epic tirade in response. “Degrade – why is it okay for women to say, 'Oh you’re five feet on dating sites, you should be dead,'” the man fires back as he hurls a newspaper he was holding to the floor. “That's okay?” Wait, what, the woman responds? No one at the store said anything like that. “Women in general have said it on dating sites. You think I'm making that sh-t up,” the patron screams back while throwing his arms in the air. “Everywhere I go I get the same f-cking smirk with the biting lip.” This is actually pretty sad. The poor guy clearly has understandable self-esteem issues… which is not an excuse for the way he acted here. But it's still something everyone viewing the footage ought to consider. Another customer then interjects, telling the man to “calm down.” But this has the opposite effect. “Shut your mouth. You're not God or my father or my boss,” he yells. When another customer also tells the man to chill out, his anger only reaches a new level. “Dude you want to step outside? You want to step outside? Huh? I'm not scare of you, pal.” The third time, however, is NOT the charm for this guy. After telling yet another patron to also “shut up” and challenging him to a fight, the bitter dating site user gets tackled to the grond. Hard. As you might expect, and mostly understand, the Internet is having a field day with this video. To wit: But we sort of have two different reactions: FIRST, imagine if this were an overweight woman, responding in sadness and anger over how she is looked at by men. We somehow doubt folks would be mocking her in the same way. SECOND, couldn't you see this guy going on some sort of shooting spree in the near future? Based on the domestic violence history of nearly all mass shooters, toxic masculinity is to blame for this epidemic as much as any other societal issue. The guy already felt snubbed by the opposite sex. Now, he probably feels like the laughing stock of pretty much everyone out there. It's scary to consider.
