For many people across the country, their worst fears about Donald Trump have already been realized. He has not even taken power yet, but Trump has made a power move that has critics on bother side of the aisle very worried: He has hired Steve Bannon to be his “chief strategist and senior counselor” in the White House. Who is Steve Bannon? Well… Bannon is the brains behind the website Breitbart, which is a leading voice in what has become known as the “alt-right” movement. His website has produced content that has claimed Planned Parenthood has ties to Nazis… has said that fat people ought to feel ashamed of themselves… and stated that “women are screwing up the Internet for men by invading every space we have online and ruining it.” Bannon also once referred to himself as a “Leninist,” explaining what he meant as follows: “Lenin wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.” This is someone who will have the ear of Trump on a daily basis in The White House. OK, look, these past few days have been hard. Really hard. Unbearable, even. Donald Trump won the election , and it basically kick-started the apocalypse. Everything is scary and terrible and sad right now. Or, well, maybe not everything . Kendall Jenner takes her modeling career very seriously. So seriously that she gets job after job with company after company, and so seriously that she keeps her body in tip-top shape. Just looks like a desperate attempt to keep the brand alive.” Other people felt the need to attack Kendall herself, because, as they say, she’s just not that sexy. “This is bad, guys,” someone advised La Perla. “If you wanted traffic you should have gone for Gigi, who would have looked a lot better. Kendall isn’t great on print and she’s not sexy.” See? “She’s not a good model,” one person remarked, while another said “She looks sad and awkward.” But before you go and get too disappointed in the world — come on, Kendall’s gorgeous, and that’s just a fact — there’s a good chance this girl isn’t losing any sleep over the criticism. Katy Perry loves Hillary Clinton. Like really, honestly, sincerely loves her. She was probably Hillary’s biggest supporter during her presidential campaign: she spoke and performed at the Democratic National Convention , she constantly urged her fans to support her. And who could forget Katy’s incredible Halloween costume ? Katy loves Hillary so much that she even got naked to inspire people to vote. Here, remember the good times: Katy Perry Votes Naked Tragically, Katy’s girl lost the election, and now our great country has been catapulted into the End Times . She took the news hard, just like many of us, but she wasn’t about to take things lying down. The day after the election, she made a series of inspirational posts on Twitter, messages like “WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED” and “THE REVOLUTION IS COMING.” She requested her fans “peacefully protest” the election results, and to “fight for what is RIGHT.” And then, last night, she donated $10,000 to Planned Parenthood, a little protest of her own. And she also wrote this touching little letter to go along with it: It’s time to turn words into action! There are so many steps to take, but my first vow is to support organizations that may have their funding support taken from them in the future by the government. I am making a public donation to Planned Parenthood for the teenage me who made several visits to first a clinic in Santa Barbara and then Los Angeles, CA to educate myself on my sexual health, a subject I had little to no information on because of my sheltered upbringing. I had no idea how things worked down there, and had no idea how to make a plan for them. Planned Parenthood educated me on my body and my reproductive health, so that I could focus on my dreams and using my voice until I knew the timing was right for me to make a plan to have a family. Since then, I have been able to focus wholeheartedly on bringing messages of strength and becoming a voice for others. Without this education, I may have had a different life path. This is just my experience, but I know Planned Parenthood’s broader range of services can sometimes be the only medical support low-income families ever see. I know what it’s like to need help. I came from a lower- to middle-class family and never grew up with the option of health insurance. I remember having 13 cavities as a teenager, and the best option my parents could come up with was to try to take me to Mexico because we couldn’t afford anything in California. I am grateful for and stand in support of Planned Parenthood for giving Katheryn Hudson the knowledge to plan, and for continuing to be a haven for women to learn all options for their future. Back in March, Catelynn Lowell checked into a rehab center to get help with her mental health issues, namely her depression and anxiety. She spent three weeks there, but sadly, she’s still been having significant problems stemming from her illnesses. And in this new sneak peek from next week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, it looks like things are coming to a head. Again: Catelynn Lowell Wants to Buy a Horse Things start off normal and fine, with Catelynn telling her husband, Tyler Baltierra, about her visit with little Nova to see some horses. She says that Nova wanted to get down and run around, but that she wouldn’t let her because there were so many horses around — cute, right? But then Catelynn mentions that she saw a horse for sale that she was interested in buying. And that’s when things got weird. “They had one of the ones there that I liked for sale,” she tells Tyler. “She’s $3,000 because she’s young, and she’s very, like, um … a broad spectrum, you can put little kids on her, you can put scared adults on her, and she does really good.” She goes on to explain that “It’s just first of all finding a horse that you like, and if I’m interested in one, then that’s when, you know, you call boarding facilities, see what they offer, how much they are, before you even buy a horse, and then you just kind of go from there.” Which might be a normal conversation, except it’s clear by the expression on Tyler’s face that he’s not even remotely interested in buying a horse, not even a little bit, not even at all. But he tries to be reasonable about it, and he asks Catelynn how much it costs to board a horse. She really tries to sell it here, telling him that some boarding costs as little as $100 a month, but a producer interrupts to mention that the guy they spoke with at the stables actually said boarding was $1,000 a month. Still, Tyler tries to find a way to politely end the conversation, this time by suggesting that Catelynn volunteer at some horse stables instead of actually buying a horse. “No, volunteering’s different though,” Catelynn sneers. “I want to be able to ride if I’m having a panic attack.” And there it is. Tyler still thinks volunteering would be good, because she’s be “right there, and it’s free, I’m just sayin’,” but she’s not having it. She insists that owning a horse would be much better for her, because that way she wouldn’t have to pay $30 whenever she had a panic attack to ride a horse that wasn’t hers. (It’s interesting to note that, at this point in the video, Nova takes off her diaper and runs into another room by herself. But sure, let’s keep talking about horses.) Good ol’ Tyler points out that it might make more sense to just pay $30 for each riding session instead of paying thousands and thousands of dollars to own a horse, and Catelynn actually laughs at him. After that, he gives up, and she starts repeating, over and over, that she will own a horse. It’s just a little bit unbearable. We feel for Catelynn, we really do, and it must be terrible to suffer from mental illness like she does. But let’s remember that, earlier this season, she bought a miniature pig , and that pig was a big part of what drove Catelynn to go to rehab. The poor animal squealed and squealed, like pigs do, but she couldn’t handle it, and she told her Teen Mom producers that she needed help. Catelynn and Tyler Argue Over Catelynn’s Depression (Again) So she went to rehab, she came back home, but she’s still been struggling with even getting out of bed in the mornings . But she wants to buy a horse? Things just aren’t looking great for Catelynn. That’s all.
For several months now, rumors that actor Val Kilmer is suffering from throat cancer have been circulating on social media. Kilmer has repeatedly refuted those reports, but sadly, there’s growing cause for concern with regard to the actor’s health. In addition to his status as a bonafide screen icon, Kilmer has won the respect of fans on the strength of his one-man show, which consists of a monologue performed in the character of American literary legend Mark Twain. After a year of sold-out shows in Los Angeles, Kilmer had planned to take the show on the road this month, but he was forced to cancel at the last minute due to unspecified health problems. TMZ has obtained footage of Kilmer having difficulty speaking while addressing a crowd in LA and informing them that he would not be able to perform due to his breathing difficulties. The video is upsetting, but Kilmer maintains that he’s merely suffering from oral health issues that have resulted in a swollen tongue. Kilmer disappeared from the public eye for several months last year. When he re-emerged he was only photographed wearing scarves that covered his neck, which led to reports that Kilmer had undergone life-saving surgery . Rumors about the actor’s illness first resurfaced when cancer survivor Michael Douglas spoke about Kilmer’s health in an interview last week: “Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had [tongue cancer],” Douglas told journalist Jonathan Ross. “My prayers are with him.” Douglas added: “That’s why you haven’t heard too much from Val lately.” “I love Michael Douglas but he is misinformed,” Kilmer wrote on Facebook in response to Douglas’ statement. “The last time I spoke to him was almost two years ago, when I asked him for a referral for a specialist to get a diagnosis for a lump in my throat.” “[That] prevented me from continuing a tour of my play CITIZEN TWAIN. I ended up using a team at UCLA and have no cancer whatsoever.” “I still have a swollen tongue and am rehabbing steadily.” Kilmer continued: “Some fans have mistakenly thought my silence about my personal issues meant that somehow I wasn’t being responsible to my health. “Because of my reliance on prayer and Love. Nothing could be further from the truth.” In other words: Val Kilmer: Not Me; I’m in My Prime! We joke only because we believe Val when he says he has his health concerns are minor and manageable. Whatever the issue, our thoughts are with Kilmer and his family, and we hope he receives whatever treatment he might need going forward.
