Mel Gibson’s Ex Claims He Hit Their Baby On Latest Tape

‘No one will believe you,’ he tells Oksana Grigorieva. By Gil Kaufman Mel Gibson Photo: Dominique Charriau/WireImage Radar Online ‘s slow leak of shocking Mel Gibson tapes continued Tuesday (July 20) with a bombshell recording that the gossip site claimed in a headline “could destroy Mel.” The latest snippet of tape is from yet another argument between Gibson and his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, and it appears to provide further evidence that the “Braveheart” actor was physically abusive, as Grigorieva has alleged. (Warning: recording contains violent, harsh language.) “You hit me, and you hit her [the couple’s 9-month old daughter] while she was in my hands! Mel, you’re losing your mind. You need medication,” Oksana says to Gibson on the nearly five-minute recording, during which she repeatedly questions his mental state. While it has not been independently verified that the voices on the tapes are Gibson and Grigorieva, a spokesperson for the actor has not denied that his client is heard breathlessly screaming obscenities and hurling racial and sexist epithets at his ex on the recordings. Gibson has not made a statement on the tapes, and his spokesperson has offered a “no comment.” After the accusation from Grigorieva, Gibson snaps back, “I want my child, and no one will believe you.” This latest shocker comes on top of a previous recording in which Gibson threatened Grigorieva and told her that she “f—ing deserved it” when she complained that he’d hit her. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has opened a domestic-violence investigation involving Gibson and Grigorieva , and Gibson’s attorneys are reportedly expected to speak with officials this week about the case. The couple, in the midst of a nasty custody battle over their daughter, are also the subjects of an investigation by the Department of Children and Family services, according to Radar. Radar editor David Perel recently said on the “Howard Stern Show” that his site has obtained more than 30 minutes of recordings made by Grigorieva following an incident on January 6 in which she has alleged that Gibson punched her in the face and damaged two of her teeth. The site has reported that Grigorieva told law-enforcement authorities that she was holding their daughter — who was 2 months old at the time — when Gibson allegedly struck her. Grigorieva has also claimed that she has a photo of the child with a bruise on her face after the incident. On the tape, after Grigorieva accuses Gibson of hitting her while she was holding the baby, he erupts in one of his by-now-familiar rages, screaming, “You need a f—ing kick up the ass for being a bitch, cu–, gold-digging whore! With a p—y son! And I want my child, and no one will believe you! So f— you!” Gibson’s wife of 27 years filed for divorce from the actor last year and reportedly spoke out in his defense last week, saying that the director of “The Passion of the Christ” was never violent toward her or their seven children and was a “wonderful father.” After Gibson and Grigorieva — who reportedly dated for three years — argue about the money he has given her to launch a musical career, he mocks her for raising her voice at him on the new tape and eventually loses it again when she claims she signed a separation agreement and does not want any more of his money. As he loses control once again, Gibson yells at her, “I’m not giving you my house, and you can rot. … You f—ing offend my f—ing maleness, my masculinity, my being, my soul!” In previous tapes, Gibson has threatened to burn down Grigorieva’s house and makes what appear to be threats on her life. Grigorieva has claimed she made the recordings of Gibson because he allegedly threatened her life.

Mel Gibson Threatens To Burn Down House, Demands Sex In Latest Tape

Actor complains that ex refused to have sex with him by pretending to be asleep. By Gil Kaufman Mel Gibson Photo: Toby Canham/ Getty Images This was almost certainly not the sequel-rich franchise Mel Gibson was looking for to revive his moribund acting career. Yet another audio recording of Gibson, 54, breathlessly and viciously screaming at and threatening his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, emerged Wednesday (July 14). Like the previous tapes leaked by RadarOnline.com in which a person identified as Gibson can be heard berating Grigorieva with a string of vulgar obscenities, racist and sexist slurs as well as an apparent death threat, the latest tape finds the actor apoplectic in his rage against the mother of his nine-month old daughter. In the three-and-a-half-minute clip (warning: recording contains explicit and offensive content), Gibson can be heard demanding oral sex from Grigorieva and threatening to burn her house down. “I deserve to be bl–n first!” screams the “Passion of the Christ” director, whose wife of 27 years filed for divorce last year. ” … OK, I’ll burn the g–damn house up, but bl– me first! How dare you!” Yelling and panting as if out of breath, Gibson also admonishes Grigorieva, 40 — whom he was reportedly dating for three years before they broke up in February of this year — for choosing sleep over having sex with him in their hot tub. “I should’ve woken you up and said f—ing bl– me, bitch! I should’ve f—ing woken you up and said bl– me! You would’ve liked that better, yeah? But you need the g–damn sleep!” Gibson is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on domestic-violence allegations, and his lawyer is reportedly set to meet with police next week to discuss the case. According to reports, during a heated argument in January of this year, Gibson allegedly got physical with Grigorieva and knocked out two of her teeth. Given the uncontrolled rage exhibited on the tapes, it’s not surprising that a friend of Gibson’s said the “Braveheart” actor began seeing a therapist earlier this year to deal with his emotions over the breakup with Grigorieva. He appears to blow up at her on the latest tape when she asks for the number of his therapist. “You wanted the number of my therapist?” he howls. “Don’t you ever speak to him! Find your own g–damn therapist! Because you’ve got problems more than me!” He later adds, “You gotta push my f—ing buttons. And it’s not going to work with us! It’s not! I can’t get like this anymore. … You’re a liar and you’re dishonest and you’re f—ed up! So you stay the f— away from me. … I better have my daughter!” Gibson’s spokesperson has offered a “no comment” on the tapes — though he has not denied that the voice heard on them is Gibson — and the actor has not yet made any public statement about their contents.

Mel Gibson’s Lawyer To Meet With Police Next Week

Actor is being investigated for domestic violence against ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. By Gil Kaufman Mel Gibson Photo: Dominique Charriau/WireImage As the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department continues its domestic violence investigation of Mel Gibson , the actor’s lawyer is reportedly set to meet with police on the matter. According to RadarOnline.com , the site that has released a series of disturbing audio recordings in which Gibson unleashes obscene rants on his ex-girlfriend , the meeting is slated to happen next week. “The plan is for Mel’s lawyer to meet with investigators from the Sheriff’s department next week,” an unidentified source close to the case told the site. “It won’t be happening this week because of scheduling issues.” Gibson, 54, is being investigated on domestic violence charges after former girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, 40, mother of their 8-month-old baby, filed a complaint with law enforcement on July 5 alleging that he attacked her earlier this year. So far, Gibson has reportedly not been interviewed by law enforcement officers in the case. “There is a lot more to this investigation that Mel’s lawyer will be giving to law enforcement,” the source said, declining to elaborate on the details of what the attorney may offer, but hinting that it could help the actor, whose already battered public image has taken a serious blow in light of the racist, sexist invective on the various snippets of tape that have emerged so far. An unnamed law enforcement source told Radar that the investigation is proceeding quickly and that information could be handed over to the district attorney’s office by the end of the month. Grigorieva has claimed that Gibson knocked out two of her front teeth and threatened to kill her several times. She said she taped the conversations because she was afraid for her life. The D.A. will have to determine whether there is enough evidence to charge Gibson with a crime. Gibson’s spokesperson has offered a “no comment” on the tapes — though he had not denied that the voice heard on them is Gibson — and the actor has not yet made any public statement about their contents.

MarketWatch Writer Praises Maddow as … Wait for It … ‘Voice of Reason’

I’m fairly confident but not certain this didn’t initially come from The Onion — a fawning profile of MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow written by MarketWatch’s Jon Friedman. “This is the rare 21st-century TV news star,” Friedman writes, “an un-self-absorbed celebrity.” “Maddow, 37, is the voice of reason at MSNBC,” Friedman elaborates. “Notable for their verbal brawn, the hosts of cable news shows often behave on air as if they’re competing for a gold medal in preening. Maddow gets her point across in a restrained but emphatic way. She doesn’t feel a need to outshout her guests.” Here is my favorite paragraph in Friedman’s soliloquy, which ought to have been subtitled, “Not incidentally, I agree with her politics” — The tone is unique. Maddow says she presents ‘essays, which have a thesis, facts, analysis and conclusions. That way, I think, I don’t invite pounding on the table or yelling at people.’ Allow me to provide an example, from Maddow’s trip to Afghanistan last week. During an interview with Brigadier General Ben Hodges on the costs of reconstruction and how they’ll be covered, Maddow said this (first part of embedded video) — MADDOW: People needed to provide policing, basic services, the kind of government jobs that you’re talking about, obviously you need good, committed Afghan nationalists essentially to do that. You need people who want to do it for their country, people who are brave and willing to see that transition through. Who’s going to pay their salaries in the long run? HODGES: Well, that’s a great point. I think, you know, Afghanistan does not have oil but they certainly have incredible mineral wealth, potential … MADDOW (after interview, raising finger for emphasis): Afghan mineral wealth. It’s not quite in the category of the mythical Caribbean walrus from BP’s oil spill response plan, but maybe it’s close. Followed by Maddow contradicting herself less than two minutes later in her July 7 broadcast while being led through a Kabul marketplace by NBC foreign correspondent Richard Engel (second part of embedded video) — ENGEL: They have turquoise, rubies, emeralds. Obviously, recently the country’s been famous, in the news recently because they discovered all these minerals in the mountains, a trillion dollars or more … MADDOW: Well, they discovered, discovered … ENGEL: …. They’re still in the rocks … MADDOW: We’re talking about them again. We’ve sort of always known that Afghanistan had incredible mineral wealth. ENGEL: Yes. MADDOW: I mean, everything from lapis to lithium. Hmm, would these be examples of Maddow’s “voices” of reason? Or how about when she suggested to Hodges — on the July 4th weekend, no less — that America’s presence in Afghanistan was “inherently corrupting” ? As any devout left-winger will tell you, this describes America’s presence anywhere — including America. Or when Maddow claimed this past Sunday on “Meet the Press” that shelling out more unemployment benefits is “the most stimulative thing you can do” for the economy. That being the case, imagine the phantasmagorically stimulative effect of laying off most federal workers and paying them unemployment benefits instead. In fairness to Friedman, he does couch his description of Maddow — she is “the voice of reason at MSNBC .” That she is — at least compared to the bellicose buffoonery of Ed Schultz, the pompous self-importance of Keith Olbermann, and the manic meanderings of Chris Matthews.

Eminem? Drake? Fans Name Their Best Albums Of The Year (So Far)

Fans also rep for Christina Aguilera, Jonelle Monae. By James Montgomery Drake Photo: Tim Mosenfelder/ Getty Images Last week we had reached the midway point of 2010, and I wrote my annual “Best Albums of the Year (So Far)” list . And, much like every other year, there were a whole lot of people who had different opinions. It seems that no matter how many albums I choose to highlight (23 this time around), there are always some that I miss … and more often than not, at least one of those albums is by Eminem. Last year, I left Relapse off of my list , and, boy, did the Em fans let me know about it. This year, his Recovery disc failed to make the cut, and once again, the fans were out in full force, voicing their displeasure and calling me all sorts of nasty things. While we could live without the catcalls, we want to know your picks for the best albums of the year so far, and lots of people have written in with theirs (Drake, B.o.B., Christina Aguilera). Oh, and a few folks out there actually agreed with my list, so, hey, let’s hear from them, too — and let us know what your picks are! “What about Eminem’s Recovery? SEVEN of his songs are on the Top 100 Billboard list,” reader Keith wrote. “And also, what about Drake’s Thank Me Later? The numbers show clearly for these guys.” Reader Ian had similar feelings — “Where is B.o.B’s album The Adventures of Bobby Ray? That was incredible.” — as did ConcertConfessions.com — “Dude, you forgot Deftones’ Diamond Eyes. Oh, and I am trying, but just not feeling the new Against Me! Some songs I love, some songs I want to smack them for.” — and Stomp17 (“Where is Gorillaz’ Plastic Beach? That album should at least be number 10 or 9 on the Best of 2010 list [note: It made the list as an ‘Honorable Mention’].” Several people had a lot to say about their picks. MclintM sounded off about Christina Aguilera’s Bionic : “I don’t understand all the backlash and unnecessary criticism with [ Bionic ]. If you give it repeat listens — the whole 24 tracks as it was meant to be … can’t stand label’s deluxe editions now — and have heard previous efforts it all makes sense in her trajectory. Really plays with her voice and is some of the most downright club-worthy stuff she’s ever laid down.” Others drilled down into my picks, singling out Janelle Monae in particular. “Great article!,” reader Mike wrote. “Kudos on a lot of your choices. A couple comments: 1) I think you should check out Foxy Shazam. Their self-titled album came out in April and it is fantastic. They have an incredible amount of energy and talent. 2) I think Robyn deserves higher on the list. Even at eight tracks, the album is really great. She really has a knack for writing great quality pop songs. 3) Others that I think you should consider for your list are Sia’s We Are Born and Motion City Soundtrack’s My Dinosaur Life. I also think Janelle Monae should be #1 on your list. Her album is fantastic and innovative. I really think she is the future of music.” “I heard Janelle Monae’s CD and I must say, pure epic,” Cwilson10 wrote. “I was hearing all kinds of stuff, I thought I was tripping for a second. To tell you the truth I didn’t know her CD was going to be that much fun. It felt like I was in a movie theater when the CD was over and Janelle was my date. I’m not lying, she puts everything into a story!!” And, of course, a few readers shared their disappointment in certain releases. “Sorry, but the new LCD Soundsystem is the biggest disappointment of the year,” Theboogieman631 wrote. “Time to get off Mr. Murphy’s n–s.” And Yoprince sounded off about several albums: “Glad to hear I’m not the only The Hold Steady fan who was a bit disappointed, which is to say a lot disappointed since they’re like my favorite American band. Damn Craig for thinking it was time to start harmonizing. I still haven’t been able to get all the way through that Gorillaz record. Janelle Monae, Yeasayer, Sleigh Bells FTW! And yes, I like the Drake record, which seems to be an unpopular opinion outside of teenagers and some very defensive blog writers. No Eminem? Fine with me. Too many tracks and Em fans won’t admit it but some of those punchlines were more miss than hit.” So what are your favorite albums of the year so far? Sound off in the comments below! Gulf Oil Disaster: Evidence that demands investigation and verdict

Dear Congressman/Senator, I am deeply concerned with the handling of the cleanup and containment effort of the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. As such, it is now the time to lay aside partisan issues, and issue a criminal and ethical investigation into the Obama administration’s dealings with BP oil, evidence of prior knowledge for the spill, and the relationship of money exchanged in return for complete collusion and complicity in this whole situation. Clearly, after citing the circumstantial evidence below, you should see that a criminal investigation into the roles of the Federal Government under the Obama administration and BP Oil, in the events leading up to the creation of this disaster, to the lack of federal response is warranted and overdue. EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS AN INVESTIGATION AND A VERDICT 1. Barack Obama received more money from BP Oil than ANY OTHER politician in the last 20 years – Republican or Democrat. (Reuters, http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE64420A20100505 ) 2. Rahm Emanuel, chief of staff to Barack Obama, lives in a luxury Washington D.C. apartment given to him by a high-level BP Oil Staffer (L.A. Times, http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2010/06/rahm-emanuel-bp-gul-oil-spill… ) 3. Goldman Sachs, a part owner of BP, was the second highest contributor to Barack Obama, giving him just a little over $1 million (CNN, http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/04/20/obama.goldman.donations/index.html ) 4. The current chairman of Goldman Sachs was also the chairman of BP oil. He stepped down from BP in 2009 ( Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Sutherland ) 5. Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, BP gave more money to Obama (Washington Independent, http://washingtonindependent.com/226/does-exxon-mobil-support-obama ) 6. George Soros, Who Helped Bankroll Obama’s 2008 campaign, is an aggressive investor in oil, and he is instrumental and is influential in Brazilian Oil Company Petrobras. (The Guru Focus, http://www.gurufocus.com/news.php?id=33828 ) 7. Curiously, CEO of BP, Tony Hayward dumped 1/3 of his BP stock holdings($2.1 million dollars) weeks before the oil rig explosion (The UK Daily Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/energy/oilandgas/7804922/BP-chie… ) 8. Coincidentally, Goldman Sachs dumped 44% – 4,680,822 shares – of its stock in BP Oil weeks before the spill – no other oil company, just BP. This also represented an unusual transaction, being two times the size of any normal stock trade for an institution its size. (Raw Story, http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0602/month-oil-spill-goldman-sachs-sold-250-million-… ) 9. Weeks before the oil spill, Haliburton acquired Boots & Coots, a Houston-based oil well intervention/oil safety/oil spill cleanup company, an investment criticized by many as an “unwise” investment at the time (Houston Chronicle, http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/business/6952547.html ) 10. It has also now been learned that President Obama stands to make over $85 Million over the next 10 years due to this “accident.” It seems as though Vanguard, Pres. Obama’s asset holdings company, dumped all of his shares of BP oil stocks in the weeks before the “accident.” http://www.twawki.com/?p=6768 11. On March 31st, Obama lifted a 20 year moratorium on offshore drilling, opening the Gulf of Mexico to new exploration and new competition amongst oil companies (Bellona, http://www.bellona.org/articles/articles_2010/US_drilling_moratorium_lifted ) 12. As early as February 2010, BP engineer referred to this particular rig as a “nightmare rig.” (AOL News, http://www.aolnews.com/gulf-oil-spill/article/bp-engineer-brian-morel-called-dee… ) 13. Jimmy Harrell, chief operator for Transocean who owned the rig was well aware of problems and warned of such a disaster. Harrell is quoted is telling an unknown person on the phone, “”Are you f****g happy? Are you f****g happy? The rig’s on fire! I told you this was gonna happen.” ( Mother Jones http://motherjones.com/blue-marble/2010/06/rigs-fire-i-told-you-was-gonna-happen ) 14. BP representatives knowingly and willfully gave the wrong orders on how to prevent an explosion on the rig. In order to control the pressure, cement(known as mud in the industry), is normally thrown down to seal of leaks. Instead, BP reps overruled the opinions of the workers and ordered sea water to be thrown down. This is clear evidence of criminal negligence, ineptitude, or criminal sabbotage. (NOLA.com, http://www.nola.com/news/gulf-oil-spill/index.ssf/2010/05/hearings_bp_representa… ) 15. The United States Coast Guard, an arm of the US Military under the control of the commander-in-chief, President Obama, has become severely compromised. It has now been “rented out” to BP, who is using it as a private security detail/bully force in the region, using intimidation, cover-ups, lies, as weapons, and not allowing media to remotely come close to any BP workers in the region. The Coast Guard is also directly and indirectly involved in turning away foreign aid, as well as PRIVATE and STATE entities which are proven to help more effectively in preventing damage to their coastlines. http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0617/expert-bp-running-gulf-prison-warden/ 16. There has been LITTLE TO NO response on the part of environmental groups and agencies regarding the damage that is being done to the ecosystem and environment in the region. This can only be regarded as suspicious. One can only wonder why they have not only remained silent, but they have praised the Obama administration’s actions. 17. We know that there are three poisonous gasses being released from the oil rig area. These 3 gasses are: Methane, Benzene, Hydrogen Sulfide. This does not include the byproducts of the dispersants which are also being released in the air. It is feared by many scientists and experts that benzene has the capability of igniting itself when it chemically reacts with the right concentration of gasses already present in the region. 18. With the Obama administration’s prolonging, knuckle-dragging, and delays in turning away help and aid, their actions only cause the scenario mentioned above all the more frightening. In a worst case scenario, according to scientists and other experts, the ignition of benzene would result in something akin to napalm, burning everything in its path. The US Coast Guard is following unlawful orders from President Obama in enforcing the denial of the 10th amendment to the states affected by this disaster. The Federal Government has NO AUTHORITY to tell a state how it will clean up or prevent damage to its coastline. It is also imperative that the governors of all states affected convene an emergency, [cont] You might click on the link and send a letter to your reps, if you still believe your voice matters. added by: samantha420

Chris Brown Melts Down During BET Awards Michael Jackson Tribute

Singer dances flawless but is overcome by emotion when time comes to sing. By Rochell Thomas Chris Brown at the 2010 BET Awards Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images When Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo and New Edition were performing tributes to Michael Jackson during last year’s BET Awards show, Chris Brown was nowhere to be found, even though many felt he was an obvious choice to honor the fallen legend. Brown’s assault on Rihanna several months earlier presumably kept him out of the show. On Sunday night (June 27), Brown finally got his chance to publicly honor the man he idolized — and while his dancing was flawless, when the time came for him to sing, he simply fell apart. After being introduced by Jermaine Jackson, Brown beautifully channeled Michael as he danced to “Remember the Time,” “Smooth Criminal” and “Billie Jean.” Yet when he grabbed a mic to sing “Man in the Mirror,” he choked up, visibly weeping. “I’m gonna make a change for once in my …” Brown’s voice trailed off. He was out of breath and sounded hoarse. Tears stained his cheeks as he paced the stage, holding the microphone by his side. “This … wind is blowing my … Who am I to…” He clearly knew the lyrics but they failed to come out. Brown faded in and out of the song, closing his eyes, grimacing, trying to soldier on. Whether it was the emotion of the moment or the past 16 months, Brown struggled and failed to find his voice, even though the pre-recorded backing vocals played on. Finally, he gave up, raised a bandaged finger to the sky and fell to his knees as Michael Jackson’s voice could be heard saying, “I’m starting with the man in the mirror.” The camera cut from Brown to an audience member who clearly uttered “Oh my God,” in shock. The audience loudly sang the words that Brown could not. Their aid seemed to move Brown to rise from his knees and mouth the words along with Jackson’s voice, while gesturing along with the mic as tears rolled down his face. In the audience, actress Taraji P. Henson could be seen mouthing, “That’s all right baby,” as Brown walked offstage to Jermaine Jackson, who moved to console him. Brown’s emotional performance echoed through the rest of the show. When Niecy Nash came onstage to present the Video of the Year award, she said, “When Chris Brown started crying I got choked up.” What did you think of Chris Brown’s Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards?
