Ferguson Grand Jury Decision Elicits Stern Celebrity Response: Read the Tweets

On Monday night, a grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri voted NOT to indict Darren Wilson , the police officer who shot and killed 18-year old Michael Brown in August. Riots broke out in the streets for days following the incident and, as documented in the following video, unrest followed the grand jury verdict once again last night. Ferguson Unrest Results from Grand Jury Decision Prosecutor Bob McCulloch explained via press conference that the grand jury found no probable cause for any of the charges considered against Wilson. The officer could have faced prosecution for first-degree murder and manslaughter in the shooting of Michael Brown , whose death has led to so much unrest. In response, President Barack Obama addressed the nation, pushing for calm, while celebrities from across all industries expressed their reaction on Twitter… Russell Simmons : the D.A never represented the people properly. He never wanted an indictment. violent ones in the streets are likely those who didn’t vote.  LeBron James , who posted a drawing of Michael Brown arm in arm with Trayvon Martin, wrote: “As a society how do we do better and stop things like this happening time after time!! I’m so sorry to these families. Violence is not the answer people. Retaliation isn’t the solution as well.” “#PrayersUpToTheFamilies #WeHaveToDoBetter.” Charlie Sheen : Officer Wilson, You are a murderer. Shame on you. Parents are NOT supposed to bury their children. You think about that. #Losing. The Voice Season 7 Episode 20 Recap: Who Ruled the Top 10?

The Voice Season 7 Episode 20 saw the remaining ten singers vie for America’s votes once more as this fall’s iteration of the NBC competition winds down. Only eight spots remain on tonight’s results show, so it’s crunch time. Did any of the 10 aspiring stars still standing begin to separate themselves from the field? Did any of them underachieve to the point where they’re in danger? Let’s break down all of the performances from Monday night … The Voice Season 7: Top 10 Performances 1. Craig Wayne Boyd – I Walk the Line (The Voice Top 10) Craig Wayne Boyd makes his bid for the Top 8 with a cover of Johnny Cash’s “I Walk the Line.” For the first time in the series, the teams were treated to guest mentors during a live round: Patrick Stump, Christina Aguilera, Colbie Caillat, and Diana Ross! Also legendary producer Clive Davis was on hand to assist. What could they coax out of the ten stars in training? Craig Wayne Boyd (Team Blake) : With a cover of Johnny Cash’s hit “Walk the Line,” he earned a standing ovation with his authenticity, talent and charisma. Matt McAndrew (Team Adam) : He took on Coldplay’s “Fix You” with an upper range that gave Gwen (and probably a few others) the chills in a big way. Anita Antoinette (Team Gwen) : Performing a reggae rendition of Passenger’s “Let Her Go,” with some Aguilera style runs, this one was a big success. Damien (Team Adam) : His take on Stevie Wonder’s “You and I,” won endless praise from Pharrell, and the crowd seemed to get totally into it as it went on. Reagan James (Team Blake) : This rendition of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” was the most unique effort of the night and one of her best this season thus far. Luke Wade (Team Pharrell) : Seeking to redeem himself on Otis Redding’s “Try A Little Tenderness,” he appeared to right the ship and then some Monday. Ryan Sill (Team Gwen) : On Muse’s “Starlight,” he took Aguilera’s advice to deviate from the original, and is among the most improved of the Top 10. Is that enough? DaNica Shirey (Team Pharrell) : Bold as it was to even attempt Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing,” in front of Clive Davis, she won plaudits and praise galore. Taylor John Williams (Team Gwen) : Rocking out to The Beatles’ “Come Together,” his stage presence was the main takeaway from this strong performance. Chris Jamison (Team Adam) : Singing Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” he showed strong rhythmic ability and his comfort with the entire stage. What do you think? Taylor Swift Album on Pace to Set 2014 Sales Record

This just in: people really like Taylor Swift. As if the gushing reviews for her new album didn’t make that clear enough, consider the early sales figures: It is already on pace, after barely one day of release, to move 1,000,000 copies in a week. This would make “1989” just the 19th record to EVER sell one million copies in seven days since Nielsen SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991. It would also make the album the first in 2014 to do so, while making Swift the first singer to have three separate million-selling weeks. In 2010, “Speak Now” moved 1.05 million copies and “Red” then sold 1.21 million two years later. If “1989” crossed the one million plateau, Swift will notch the biggest sales week for an album since… her very own “Red” in 2012. So clearly Swift being absolutely EVERYwhere these days – from closing down Hollywood Boulevard to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live… to appearing on The Voice last night – hasn’t made folks sick and/or tired of Taylor Swift. With Hank Baskett sort of kicked out of the house and pretending to live in an apartment, Kendra needs some advice like Kendra on Top needs a new storyline. Who’s our girl gonna call? Hugh Hefner, obviously! Kendra on Top Sneak Peek – It’s Hef! Oh yes. On Kendra on Top Season 3 Episode 8 Friday night, the reeling Wilkinson looks within herself and plans a return to the place that started it all: The Playboy Mansion. Because no one’s opinion matters quite like her ex-boyfriend Hugh Hefner, a man who knows Kendra like no other and she has so much in common with. In the sneak peek above, we see Hugh tell his former centerfold that she has a lot at stake, and that from the outside, this looks like a straight setup . Does it though, Hugh? Kendra has read these talking points from the script during a few recent media appearances lately, and Hank supposedly went to the FBI about Ava London . Who knows. Taylor Swift: Photobombed By Dad at 1989 Release Party!

Whether she’s hosting listening parties for fans or guest-coaching on The Voice, Taylor Swift has been promoting her new album, 1989, non-stop. It’s likely to pay off in record-breaking sales, but just because Taylor is arguably the biggest pop star on the planet right now, that doesn’t mean she’s immune to the occasional embarrassing dad moment. That’s Taylor at a Target location celebrating the release of the deluxe edition of 1989, and from the looks of it – no one is more excited about the record hitting stores than her proud papa. “Hiiii dad,” Swifty captioned the above pic, demonstrating once again how to turn a potentially awkward moment into a relatable and hilarious one. Yes, as anyone who’s seen Taylor’s feline robe knows, the girl is successfully making cat-lady girl geek cool again. She’s like a living, breathing Cathy cartoon.  And it’s for that reason – as much as her catchy tunes and confessional lyrics – that Taylor has such an easy time finding an audience with all age groups and sexes. The world has enough cool celebrities. We need one covered in cat hair. Taylor Swift Joins The Voice as Adviser: Find Out Her Role & When She’ll Appear!

A Grammy-winning songwriter, “Shake It Off” singer, serial dater, world champion knitter and mom to Olivia Benson and Meredith is coming to The Voice. Taylor Swift will appear as a “key adviser” to all the coaches this season! Swift will work with Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani and mentor for all of the contestants on the various rosters. NBC announced today that Swift will make her first appearance on Monday, October 27, the very same day her forthcoming album, 1989 , drops. Swift will appear again on October 28 and on November 3 as the Knockout Rounds come to a close, and possibly on even more episodes throughout. Taylor will reportedly work with the aspirants on all facets of their music. From helping craft vocal technique, stage presence and on tailoring (pun not intended) songs to fit their personalities and strengths, she’ll do it all. Dating Naked Season 1 Episode 10 Recap: Ashley Fonda, Alika Medeiros Get Married!

On the Dating Naked Season 1 finale, we were treated to both a wedding celebration and a de facto greatest hits episode of sorts from the VH1 show. Ashley Fonda and Alika Medeiros, having started dating naked earlier this season, are about to tie the knot, and that means a TV wedding, obviously. Naked. “Being naked in the ceremony allows the interconnectedness to flourish a lot more than when you’re clothed during the ceremony,” we’re told. Dating Naked Season 1 Finale Clip – The Wedding! Indeed, this is what happens when you go on a show called Dating Naked; Ashley Fonda and Alika Medeiros ‘ family and friends are not as impressed. There’s also some naked yoga, naked drum circling, naked spin the bottle, you get the idea. At least there is no doubt as to the theme of the program. Not everyone is living in this kind of nude utopia, however. While Marissa and Steven attend the wedding, their love seems to be crumbling, and fast. A big reason for this? Marissa seems to not like Steven much. That’ll do it. “These weird little one liners … why am I standing by you?” Marissa says. “I’m so annoyed. I feel like Steven has lost his mind right now. It’s like, ‘dude, you’re really annoying'” Steven, for his part, seems to be equally over Marissa, or getting there. “She’s nagging me. She’s correcting me. She’s trying to make me something she wants me to be … she’s like more of a mother than a girlfriend at times.” Not surprisingly, they break up toward the end But it could be worse: They could be Jessie Nizewitz , who is suing the show for an unblurred shot of her vagina and anus that made it to air, which takes Dating Naked to a new level. Or … they could be Mikey P dating Farrah Abraham . Shudder.
