The Voice Season 7 Premiere Sneak Peek: Adam Levine Gets So High

Maroon 5 rocker and The Voice coach Adam Levine is straight up amped about contestant Luke Wade in a sneak peek from the Season 7 premiere of the NBC hit. So much so, he channels his inner Tom Cruise, with Wade his Katie Holmes. The Voice Season 7 Premiere Sneak Peek – Luke Wade Levine, 35, couldn’t help but get up and stand on his swiveling spaceship chair before the contestant even had a chance to hit the song’s closing notes. Safe to say that Adam hit his buzzer, along with his three other celebrity coaches. “I only wish I could be higher up!” Adam says. “I want to swing from the rafters! “I want to sing from the mountaintops!” Leave it to his BFF Blake Shelton to knock him down about 10 pegs with a classic retort: “That’s because you are high right now. Sit down and let us talk.” Gwen Stefani got in on the act, too. “These two guys on the end [Levine and Shelton], they’re kinda calling it in at this point. They’ve been doing it so long, you know,” Stefani says. “I am just so pumped up,” she adds, using her inexperience to her advantage. I’ve never done anything like this before. I’m all fresh and excited.” “I can really give you a lot of focus.” Who will he pick? Adam, Gwen, Blake, or their fourth partner in crime, Stefani’s fellow newcomer Pharrell Williams? We’ll find out come Monday night. The Voice Season 7 premieres at 8 p.m. EST!

Don Pardo, the voice behind Saturday Night Live for 38 seasons, passed away on Monday, according to his daughter. He was 96 years old. Pardo broke into broadcasting at a small radio station in Providence, Rhode Island and moved to New York City in 1944 to begin his six-decade tenure as a staff announcer at NBC. You may not know his face, but you’ve heard his voice: Transitioning to television, Pardo announced for such shows as Jeopardy!, The Kate Smith Evening Hour, NBC Nightly News, The Price Is Right, Three on a Match and Winning Streak. On November 22, 1963, Pardo delivered the audio news bulletin to NBC viewers that President John F. Kennedy, Jr. had been shot in Dallas. Casey Kasem Dies; Legendary Radio Personality Was 82

Beloved radio icon Casey Kasem passed away this morning at the age of 82. His daughter Kerri confirmed the news via Facebook, writing, “Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken.” Kasem is best known as the original voice of the American Top 40 countdown, and for millions of Americans, Kasem’s trademark voice is as much a part of the history of pop music as the songs themselves. Sadly, in his final days, a legal battle over Kasem’s care  overshadowed the Detroit native’s inestimable contribution to the world of broadcasting. After a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and dementia,  Kasem was removed from life support earlier this week.  In addition to his famous hit music countdowns, Kasem lent his voice to a number of famous cartoon characters, including Scooby Doo’s Shaggy – a part he played for over 40 years. In 1985, Kasem was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. In 2009 he retired from radio after nearly 60 years behind the mic. As always, he signed off with his signature phrase, “Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.” Celebrities We Lost in 2014 1. Philip Seymour Hoffman R.I.P. Lisa Rinna Covers Britney Spears, Peforms "Baby One More Time" on Sing Your Face Off

Lisa Rinna channeled her inner Britney on ABC’s new reality show, Sing Your Face Off, belting out Spears’ 1999 smash hit “Baby One More Time.” Rocking Brit’s vintage pigtails, plaid skirt and belly-bearing collared shirt, the 50-year-old actress went all in, even mirroring the original choreography. Hot? Not? You decide: Lisa Rinna as Britney Spears – Baby One More Time The judges were more on the side of not. Debbie Gibson, Darrell Hammond and RuPaul gave her the lowest score of the night on the show, which apparently exists. Nevertheless, Lisa was pleased wit her effort. “It is a nonstop process for only five days, which is not a long time,” Rinna said . “I knew I just had to throw myself into it and cram like I was cramming for finals.” “I just went for it and I knew I would have to go hard or go home. You can’t just dip your toe into the water. You have to dive in or you will crash and burn.” “I had a blast doing it. She’s a great dancer and it was really challenging to become her,” she went on, noting that as an artist, “Britney is so specific.” “She’s an amazing performer, and when you really break someone down like Britney, she’s technical and does certain things with her voice that are very difficult.” Maybe that’s why you always see Britney Spears lip-syncing these days. Even she can’t pull off the Spears of old anymore ( Britney bikini photos aside). 17 Head-Scratching Britney Spears Live Moments 1.
