The Voice’s final three remaining singers – Cassadee Pope, Terry McDermott and Nicholas David – gave it their all Monday in hopes of winning it all Tuesday night. With stars so talented, yet divergent in style, it’s anyone’s game. The three stars’ teams have no relevance, with the coaches unable to sway the outcome beyond whatever their praise after the performances is worth. Who will America crown the winner of The Voice Season 3? Cassadee Pope – Cry (The Voice) Cassadee Pope – Over You (The Voice Finals) Will it be Cassadee Pope, the pop-rock-turned-country cutie who reprised her signature performance of “Over You” in addition to Faith Hill’s “Cry”? Terry McDermott – Broken Wings (The Voice) Terry McDermott – I Want to Know What Love Is (The Voice Finals) Will it be Terry McDermott, whose “I Want to Know What Love Is” made him a contender, and whose “Broken Wings” cover served as his final song? Nicholas David – Lean On Me (The Voice Finals) Nicholas David – Great Balls of Fire (The Voice) Will it be soulful Nicholas David, who treated us to his defining cover “Lean on Me” and a fired-up medley of “Great Balls of Fire” and (yes) “Fire”? Clearly, any of the three would be worthy. But who’ll get the votes? Which performance above was your favorite on the night? Your least favorite? Let us know who you think will, and should , win The Voice, and vote in our poll: Who should win The Voice of these top three stars? Cassadee Pope Terry McDermott Nicholas David View Poll »
After four terrific performances Monday night, The Voice now has its final three. With NO idea how things would shake out, the four remaining singers were on pins and needles to learn if they would earn one of the coveted spots in the finals. As has been the case since the live shows began, the coaches have no sway; it’s all up to America now, and it’s every singer (not team) for himself or herself. So who’s out and who’s on to the finals? Let’s find out: The singer eliminated from The Voice tonight is … Trevin Hunte! Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope of Team Blake were the first two finalists announced, followed by Nicholas David of Team Cee Lo in the closing moments. Those three are on to the finals next Monday night. Trevin, for all his talent, fell just a little bit short last night and ends his run on Season 3 in fourth place. Agree with America’s call? This result will likely be debated, as will which of the surviving stars has the best chance to win next week. Have it it below! Do you agree with The Voice results tonight? Yes, America got this one right. No, Trevin got robbed! View Poll » Who will win The Voice (of the final three)? Cassadee Pope Terry McDermott Nicholas David View Poll »
Poor Elmo got janky junk . Via NYPost reports : The fourth man to come forward to accuse “Sesame Street’’ puppeteer Kevin Clash of inappropriate sexual contact says the voice of Elmo had trouble getting it up as he was trying to get down with his alleged victim. “Kevin Clash told [his accuser] he had difficulty . . . due to a medical condition,” according to the new accuser’s civil lawsuit filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court. The alleged victim, now 33, said he was about 16 when he first met Clash, then 35, in 1995 while walking on a Miami beach. The two started talking — Clash complimented him on his looks, the man said — and the pair kept in touch over the phone. After learning that the accuser had problems at home and wanted to run away, Clash, the voice of Elmo for 28 years until he resigned last month, promised to “be a dad” to him. Clash lured the young man to the city “with promises to pay for his plane ticket . . . and give him cash and a free place to stay,” according to the lawsuit, in which Clash’s latest accuser remains unnamed. “[The accuser] had been abused by a teacher when he was 15 and was initially very leery of Kevin. But Kevin convinced him he would be safe” — by disclosing he was the man behind the world’s most beloved muppet, said the plaintiff’s lawyer, Miami-based Jeff Herman, who is also representing two other accusers. “As soon as he got to New York, Kevin told him he was the voice of Elmo,” Herman said. The accuser stayed with Clash only a few days, when the abuse is alleged to have happened. Herman said that because Clash is alleged to have transported his accuser across state lines for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity, he could face criminal charges. “The lawsuit is without merit, and we will vigorously defend the case and Mr. Clash’s reputation,” said Michael Berger, a lawyer for Clash, reiterating what the puppeteer’s camp has said each time the other claims were made public. A doorman at Clash’s Upper West Side apartment building yesterday said the Muppet master, a divorced dad with a college-age daughter, has not been seen in some time. The latest accuser said that being a parental figure was a role Clash liked to play — and another alleged victim has echoed that. “ ‘Mr. Tickler’ is what I will call him, and the game we played was father and son,” a previous accuser, who claims he also was 16 when he and Clash hooked up, wrote in an unpublished memoir. Herman added yesterday: “These are all vulnerable boys. None of them had father figures in their lives, and they were looking for that father figure. There’s a consistency.” Abuse charges against Clash, now 52, first surfaced last month. After the first accusation was made public, Clash released a statement that said he was gay and admitted the relationship but said it was between two consenting adults. He resigned when a second accuser came forward — college student Cecil Singleton, now 24, who sued him for $5 million. Singleton and another accuser said Clash was trolling for young boys on a gay telephone chat line and that he lied about his age. Herman said other possible victims have been in contact with him and that he is in the process of vetting them. No wonder Elmo’s such a tickle monster, he couldn’t even use that thang for nothing but a lil tickling. Life just keeps getting more and more embarrassing for this guy. SMH. AP Images
New Black Kid On The Block DEZ released his Real Talk mixtape this week and it even includes a special feature with rapper Ma$e A few years ago, Dezmond Armstead was just a high school freshman in Virginia playing on the varsity basketball team; a young man who had hoped his basketball talents would get the attention of the high school girls. “I thought, I’m definitely going to get noticed,” Dez reminisces, “but it didn’t work out that way.” He soon realized that his voice was his greatest strength and eventually garnered the attention he wanted, along with a slew of requests of popular R&B songs from the 80s and early 90s. Inspired by Usher and Bobby Brown, Dez was ready to put his talent to the test and moved to Los Angeles after high school to see what he was made of. He later met the production Duo, The Movement and they began to talk about their love for classic R&B. After a few studio sessions and completed tracks the musical chemistry was undeniable. The Movement, who are known for making breakout double-platinum hits like Justin Bieber’s “One Time” and Jesse McCartney’s “Leavin” recount those first few days with Dez. “Having seen successful acts at the very beginning stages of their careers, we were immediately convinced about Dez’s ability. After the first song We Ride, we knew we were onto something special.” The team set out to build an organic campaign online to grow his fan base and after releasing a cover of Beyonce’s, “I Miss You” and Drake’s “HYFR,” Dez began to put together the elements for what would soon be his mixtape. “So my journey begins, Real Talk is the movement !Real life, real love, real pain, that real R&B.” says Dez. Download Link: http://smarturl.it/dezrealtalk Tracklist: 1) REAL TALK (intro) 2) WANNA LOVE YOU 3) CAN’T GET ENOUGH ft. MA$E 4) NEVER LEAVE ME LONELY 5) BOOMERANG (interlude) 6) AIN’T FU**IN WITH YOU 7) THE SOUND 8) HALFWAY NI**A 9) LOST ONE 10) UNDERNEATH ME 11) WE RIDE 12) REALITY CHECK 13) HYFUR (bonus track) 14) MISS YOU (bonus track) Real Talk is more than just songs to entertain and make money. It’s pieces of who I am and the things I’ve gone through. It’s about the real things we all go through. The genuine and non genuine decisions we make for love. It’s my hope, my light, my mistakes and my hate. This record is for the ladies who work and go to school and truly try to make the world better but still have to deal with men who are not as strong as them (I have been that guy). This is for the fellas who can’t pop bottles and waste money they don’t have just to get attention from women who don’t care for a man who stands for something, but only wants the ni**a that can do for her. (I have been this guy too) ha ha. Real Talk is for Real People. You fake folks can listen too cause you might find something real about yourself. Ha ha. Real Talk is about OUR lives. Real Life. Real Love. Real Pain. Real R&B. Real Talk. -Dez Make sure to check back in and let us know if you hate it or love it!
November 28, 2012 – Believe Tour MSG. Hi, I’m Gianna. I woke up so excited jumping up and down cause I knew I would be seeing Justin sing live in concert later that day. Little did I know he’d be grabbing me and pulling me to his side that same day. It was a pretty exciting morning. I made me and my grandma t-shirts, we got dressed and caught the train to Grand Central Station. The show was at 7 but we were so excited we caught a cab at 4:30 p.m. and went straight to the Garden. Everyone who was already there was there for meet and greets and I started to cry because I realized he was so close to me and I couldn’t even see him. Well some men overheard and sent me to this room were I waited patiently with my grandma for about 15 minutes but I had no idea what was about to happen. While I was waiting, I waited with these little girls who were supposed to have meet and greet passes but the Garden must have lost them or something. Then Justin’s tour manager came back, he told us to follow him. So we proceeded up the staircase and he put us on a long line. He placed gold bands on all of our wrists and told us we had to smile extra big for the picture. I started to freak out. I had no idea Justin was feet away from me and that I’d be meeting him! It didn’t seem real and I was dizzy. All of a sudden I heard screams and I look up and theres Scooter standing next to me. At that point I knew it had to be real. The line started to move and before I knew it, the same nice man that gave me the bracelet was pulling back a curtain and there Justin was looking straight into my eyes. The little girls I was with went first and he hugged them and than he pulled me to his side. He held me up because if he didn’t, I would have probably passed out and I think he knew that. My grandma was making conversation with him and I was kinda just standing there in a huge daze. I couldn’t believe it. We then posed for the picture and I quickly jumped back and smiled. Then I thought it was over and I didn’t wanna get yelled at by authorities so I started to move but Justin held onto me. That was the best experience of my entire life. He put on an amazing show and I practically lost my voice! Dreams really do come true if you BELIEVE and NEVER SAY NEVER! -@xoxogiannaxoxox @biebers_babexo Continue reading here: November 28, 2012 – Believe Tour MSG. Hi, I’m Gianna. I…
